His eyes were pools of blue, and I fell in.

His waters were so warm and comforting and his sun bathed me. I rested, without a care in the world. I drank of his intoxicating cocktails and watched the blue sky hang over me. Land was so far away – but I didn’t care. Here I played with the mermaids and frolicked like a young nymph.

Ever so slowly dark clouds started rolling in. I saw them coming, in between each intoxication. Each time I swam for the shore, but the sirens sang their song lulling me back.

The storm hit fast. It was furious, as if no survivors were intended. The waves kept pushing me under. The water was dark. Each time I went under – the muffled sounds of the storm above screamed dully at me. But when I came up for breath – I could hear the wind screaming at me, “What are you doing here? You’re a fool. Drown in your folly!” His rain beat on me like hard pellets, cutting into my skin – but the blood only went to my heart. The salt water stung my nose and eyes, and the wounds seeping into my heart. I looked for his hand – but not even the moon or the stars would grace me with their light. I am alone.

His waters are ice cold, and I’m going under. My lips are blue, and my heart is full. My chest is heaving for some air but it is only taking in his frigid ice blue stare.

Last weekend, I went to Silver City at Metropolis and watched Twilight.  As the film started to roll, I listened to Bella’s voice and it got me thinking about death. No – not the agonizing, and emotional passing of someone, but rather the opposite – it got me thinking about Death By Chocolate.

Death By Chocolate was first established in New Zealand in 1991, and is self proclaimed “The Ultimate Dessert Destination”. And in fact, I quite agree. Death By Chocolate is a dessert lover’s dream. They serve up delicious treats that appeal to all the senses. With every plate comes inspiration and dreams.

The last time I went, I got myself a nice big slice of chocolate cake. Too big for me, I only finished half and still ended up having a tooth ache for weeks after. Upon visiting their website for the first time, I explored and to my delight, I found an online menu. Page after page, I feasted my eyes on sweet baked goods. I drooled over “Fudged Out” and “Devil In Disguise”. I yearned for the “Latin Lover”, and I wished to taste “A Multitude of Sins”.

Specialty coffees, wines, and liquors are served to compliment your fun and flirty dessert. So with over 30 dessert choices, and many refreshments to choose from, you can pick your poison and your coffin too!

New York City rock radio station WRXP-FM (101.9 FM in the New York City area, http://www.1019rxp.com/) has been giving a considerable amount of airplay to a great blues-rock single called “Testify” by a New York-based singer-songwriter named Danielia Cotton (pictured above). It’s great that RXP is giving exposure to local artists. And Cotton is quite a talent and most deserving of that exposure. What a voice!

The “Testify” single is available on iTunes and is also a track on Cotton’s Rare Child album.

Jag har sett att Brolle gett ut en skiva där han tolkar Cornelis, vågade inte riktigt köpa den då jag inte har hört honom sjunga så mycket av dom låtarna. Men jag skulle kunna tänka mig att han gör det himla bra. Det jag jättegärna skulle vilja är att han ger ut skivor där han tolkar Elvis och Cash, han har ju den där rösten som verkligen passar till såna låtar!

Missade tyvärr Så ska det låta i fredags då Brolle var med, men jag såg några klipp på youtube från fredags avsnittet när han sjöng Johnny B Good (otroligt bra!) och Devil in disguise (synd bara att Bengtzing var med för hon passade inte till den här låten..)
