Organized by the Gujarat Cultural Society, the venue had the most awesome Gujarati snacks … fafda, dhokla, jalebi, khakhras and the whole works!
Having studied in Ahmedabad for four years, teen-taali came easy to us. But what excited us more was dressing up!

S is wearing an embroidered chaniya-choli and a bandhani (tie & dye) dupatta with sequins and mirror work details. P is wearing a brocade blouse over a heavily embroidered Kutchi full skirt. Upasha is wearing an embellished ghagra downplayed by a simple tank top and a bright yellow dupatta.

In the accessories department, what we absolutely loved are these lac bangles that S picked up from a trip to Rajasthan. The mirror-work and the color is pure craftsmanship. Also, what caught our eye is the braided metal choker neckpiece, Upasha sported from Manek Chowk, Ahmedabad. Seen here are the same teardrop earrings P had sported earlier.

We had an absolute ball. We’re waiting for the festivities to arrive next year …
For the record, the venue is Pandara Park near Connaught Place, Delhi.
