Come avere un’idea geniale e prendersi gioco dell’intera rete grazie ad un Trailer. Un finto Trailer, ma talmente ben realizzato da sembrare vero.

Trattasi di un fantomatico ed improbabile sequel di “Titanic”, nel quale un redivivo Di Caprio, annegato nelle gelide acque dell’oceano Atlantico, viene ripescato, ibernato e scongelato. Una volta risvegliatosi, Jack dovrà così adeguarsi a vivere un’epoca distante anni luce dalla propria e scoprirà, grazie a minuziose ricerche, che la sua amata Rose si è nel frattempo spenta alla veneranda età di 102 anni.

Una trama avvincente, irreale, paradossalmente vicina a quella di altri lavori usciti in questi anni (viene immediatamente alla mente “Demolition Man” con Sylvester Stallone) ed ideata dal 25enne Robert Blankenheim con un meticoloso montaggio messo in parte in piedi con spezzoni di altri film di Di Caprio, tra i quali si riconoscono ad esempio “Prova a prendermi” e “Romeo+Giulietta”.

Indizio che non ha comunque impedito al mondo del web di abboccare clamorosamente allo scherzo. Su Facebook, una volta presa visione del promo, hanno persino fondato un gruppo intitolato “Per tutti quelli che non conoscevano Titanic 2″, dove gli utenti si dicono indignati per l’operato del presunto regista.

A tal proposito Ivan scrive: «Nella scena finale del primo episodio Rose si spegne e incontra tutti i morti della nave, tra cui Jack. Titanic 2 come l’hanno fatto? Il regista è proprio intelligente!». Lo segue a ruota Francesco: «Sapevo che era nell’aria un sequel di Titanic. Non immaginavo che l’avrebbero fatto per davvero. Certi film non dovrebbero avere un continuo, è come se si rompesse una magia».

Non tutti però ci cascano. Come Stefania («Si vede che è tutta una montatura»), Samuela («Non esiste, è un fotomontaggio. Nel video ci sono scene di altri film») e Andrea, che si lascia andare ad un eloquente «Che boccaloni!».

Observar la puesta de sol en Formentera con un mojito es uno de los lujos del verano. En la playa de Illetes puedes hacerlo en El Tiburón o en el algo más masificado Big Sur; a partir de las 22 horas cierran estos chiringuitos pop, dónde la gente baila sobre las mesas las canciones del verano; este año triunfan “Viva la vida” de Coldplay, y cómo no, “Summercat“, de Billie the Vision & the Dancers, popularizada por el spot de Estrella Damm, que precisamente transcurre en Formentera en estas mismas fechas; sobre este spot ya hemos hablado desde La Azotea, pero no nos habíamos hecho esta reflexión: la historia de esta película es algo machista, ya que el chico protagonista se debate entre dos estupendas amigas, estando ambas atraídas por el chico guapo: ¿no podría haber sido al revés? No obstante, chicas y chicos, si quereis continuar bailando “tonight tonight”….toda la noche, os recomendamos el “Blue Bar” en la playa del Migjorn.

Por cierto, Di Caprio, ayer te vi… y eres de carne y hueso.

Am vrut să văd şi eu aseară un film romantic care să mă emoţioneze şi n-am vrut să mă uit din nou la “A walk to remember”, nu de-alta da’ ştiu toate replicile, asa că am downloadat (ca tot românu’) “Titanic”, pentru că nu l-am vazut decât o dată si atunci când eram mic, asa că pe la unşpe i-am dat play…

Aşa cum m-am aşteptat de la început, m-a emoţionat la final, mai ales când a început melodia cântată de Celine Dion, dar mi-a venit în cap o întrebare: “bă da’ Di Caprio asta tre’ să moară-n toate filmele în care joacă?”

Eu sunt un mare fan al filmelor (numa’ că nu ma duc la cinema că nu există-n Călimaneşti) aşa că am văzut foarte multe filme, printre care si câteva în care a jucat Di Caprio, si anume “The Departed”, “Blood diamond”, “Romeo & Julieta” si cel menţionat mai sus si, ghici ce, în toate moare la final. Cred că si datorită acestui fapt e asa iubit pentru că lumea s-a săturat să vadă vreun Rambo care se duce cu o mitralieră si-i omoară pe toţi si salvează situaţia.

Astept un scenarist sau un regizor să mă lamurească, da’ pân’ atunci vă invit să ascultaţi si să vedeti încă o data videoclipul piesei “My heart will go on” care mă emoţionează de fiecare dată când o ascult, chiar si atunci când eram cu Răz morţi de beţi la el acasă si cântam din toate puterile mi se facea pielea de găină…Apropo, bă Răzvane tată, cu cine mă mai petrec mă io, cu cine mă mai duc acas’ când văd jdemii de cărari dupa ce pleci? O să-ncerc să supravieţuiesc da’ o sa fie greu bă, foarte greu…

Deja ascult melodia asta si devin nostalgic, ar trebui s-o-nchid da’ nu pot pentru că-mi place prea mult, asa c-o ascult…

Konkretnie: świat obiegła nowina, że aktorska adaptacja Akiry leży, kwiczy i ogólnie nie powstaje! HAIL! Cieszmy się, bóg jeden wie co amerykanie by zrobili z tym filmem (bo mangi to na pewno kręcić nie chcieli). Oczywiście kto miał za tym stać? Appian Way (ludzie Di Caprio) i Warner Bros. Ufff.

Zresztą spójrzmy – czy jest sens robić remake filmu, który do dziś broni się przed nowymi “hitami”, i wciąż wygląda strasznie dobrze?:

Teraz wypada czekać aż odpuszczą sobie kręcenie Ghost in the Shell (to ich ZJE, przemieli i wypluje) i Ninja Scrolla (już pisałem czemu). Choć niestety wszystko wskazuje na to, że „żywy” Ninja Scroll powstanie. Z tej wielkiej trójki, to właśnie NS można zrobić najtańszym kosztem, bez tworzenia mega-miasta-przyszłosci, mega efektów, wybuchów i filozoficznego przekazu.

Co się dzieje z tym Hollywood? Już im się psucie ekranizacji gier (najczęsciej), komiksów (coraz rzadziej) i książek (w kratkę) znudziło?

Basierend auf einem Roman von Denis Lehane (Mystic River).
Da ich die Vorlage kenne, kann ich nur raten möglichst spoilerfrei in den Film zu gehen. Denn je weniger Wendungen der Geschichte man vorher kennt, desto größer der Spaß. Der Trailer da oben geht noch… mehr sollte man sich aber vorher nicht ansehen.

Amba Fatima. Warner Bros wraz z Appian Way, studiem kierowanym przez Leonardo Di Caprio (pewnie kojarzycie – w takim jednym filmie o motorówce grał), weźmie się za aktorską wersję Ninja Scroll. Świat się kończy, pytam się PO CO?

Ninja Scroll to pełne krwi, seksu i przemocy anime o Roninie który (w skrócie) musi zabić całą bandę demonów. Adaptacja nie ma prawa się udać bo:

· Amerykanie spróbują zrobić film o jak najniższym ratingu, całą brutalność i golizne pałąk strzeli.

· Wytną jakże pomysłową scenę z wężem wypełzającym z piz… waginy złej pani-demon (Benisato)

· Nie znajdą aktora o równie prostokątnej klacie co Jubei

· Przeniesienie w świat aktorski scen z demonem, z którego pleców wylatuje rój pszczół (Mushizo), demona wsiąkającego w cień (Shijima), czy też lubiącego gwałcić co popadnie kamiennego-demona (Tessai) to zadanie dla kogoś odpowiedzialnego, a nie dla kogoś kto chce nakręcić kolejny film akcji, stanowiący tło do Coli i popcornu.

· Halo? Przecież to amerykanie, mało licencji zepsuli ?

· Zapewne scenarzysta będzie przekonany o tym, ze Ninja Scroll nie jest zbyt słynną marką i nie ma wielu fanów, więc może zrobić z tą historią co tylko mu się podoba dając upust swej przepełnionej Coca Colą wyobraźni.

Na koniec, paradoksalnie, mam dwie dobre wiadomości. Pierwsza: Di Caprio nie zagra w tym filmie; druga: można go kupić w Polsce na DVD za około 20 złotych. Polecam to rozwiązanie, bo niektóre akcje z Ninja Scrolla są wręcz najgorsze i wypada te przegięcia zobaczyć. Choćby po to by później ukraść z torrentów wersję aktorską i zauważyć ile elementów zostało zjebanych. A jeśli potrzebujecie recenzji NS, by troszkę dokladniej zaznajomić się z tematem, to w sumie nawet znam pewną stronę na, której takową znajdziecie.

It’s already May but there are still a lot of big movies to look out for the rest of the year, in no particular order I give you ten of the best!

Inglourious Bastards
Director: Quentin Tarantino (Kill Bill)
Starring: Brad Pitt (Burn After Reading), Mike Myers (The Love Guru), Samuel L. Jackson (Snakes On A Plane), Eli Roth (Hostel)

Tarantino directs this story which follows Pitt lead a team of Jewish-Americans into Germany during the Second World War to ‘scalp Nazis’. With Tarantino there is always bound to be a bloodbath to come and throwing war into the equation means this could actually be gloriously gorier than the two ‘Kill Bill’films put together.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
Director: Terry Gilliam (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas)
Starring: Christopher Plummer (Sound of Music), Heath Ledger (The Dark Knight), Jude Law (Alfie), Andrew Garfield (Boy A), Colin Farrell (The Recruit), Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean)

Heath Ledger’s last screen appearance as he died before filming was over and was replaced by Law, Depp and Farrell. A mysterious prophet/magician in debt to the Devil leads a theater troupe into a strange world. They embark on a travelling show where members of the audience get an opportunity to choose between light and joy or darkness and gloom. Sounds very strange.

The Invention of Lying
Director: Ricky Gervais
Starring: Jennifer Garner (Juno), Ricky Gervais (Ghost Town), Rob Lowe (The West Wing), Jonah Hill (Superbad), Christopher Guest (Spinal Tap)

Mr ‘Everything I Touch Turn to Gold’ directs his first Hollywood film. This is defiantely going to be a sure fire hit if ‘Ghost Town’ was anything to go by. Set in an alternate earth Gervais’ character is the first to tell a lie and finds out what he can do using this gift for personal gain. Great comedy cast also including Louis C.K. and Patrick ‘make it so’ Stewart with possibly cameos from Karl ‘head like a fuckin’ orange’ Pilkington and Steve Merchant.

Sherlock Holmes
Director: Guy Richie
Starring: Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Jude Law (Closer), Rachel McAdams (Wedding Crashers)

Downey Jr.’s English accent with be put to the sword after his success in 1992 with ‘Chaplin’ as he dons a deerstalker as Richie directs the film adaptation of the Victorian English detective Sherlock Holmes. Set in 1891, Holmes and Watson join forces to stop a conspiracy to destroy Britain. Richie is only known for his gangster hard men films so this could be quite a stretch from the original.

The Informant
Director: Stephen Soderbergh (Che)
Starring: Matt Damon (The Bourne Ultimatum), Scott Bakula (Quantum Leap), Melanie Lynskey (Two and a Half Men)

Matt Damon stars in this true story of the bi-polar Mark Whitacre, a 90’s F.B.I. informant leading a double life as whistleblower and embezzler. Whitacre was involved over 3 years documenting the case against many high-level executives who where involved fixing the prices of food additives. This looks set to be a dark comedy/thriller not to miss from “Matt Damon”.

Terminator: Salvation
Director: McG (Charlies Angels)
Starring: Christian Bale (The Dark Knight), Sam Worthington (Rogue), Helana Bonham-Carter (Sweeney Todd), Anton Yelchin (Star Trek)

John Connor returns to prevent the evil Skynet conglomerate from ending humanity with its horde or killing robots. Set in the future 2018 to be exact there’s sure to be rebel alliance action from start to finish. No sign of Arnie though after the abysmal ‘T3′. Its going to be an action-fest, whether its another tired moneymaker for the Terminator franchise though is yet to be seen.

Public Enemies
Director: Michael Mann (The Kingdom)
Starring: Johnny Depp (Finding Neverland), Christian Bale (3:10 to Yuma), Marion Cotillard (A Good Year)

This is crime drama about Notorious 1930’s American gangsters John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd take of the Melvin Pervis of the F.B.I. in the midst of the Great Depression. Look set the be an epic crime thriller, with Depp branding a tommy gun at the height of the bank robbers career in what hopefully will be like a sort of ‘The Untouchables’ 2 and not ‘Catch Me If You Can’ 2.

Director: Rob Marshall (Memoirs of a Geisha)
Starring: Daniel Day-Lewis (There Will Be Blood), Judi Dench (Quantom of Solace), Nicole Kidman (Austrailia)

An immense cast of Oscar-winners and nominees star in this tale of director Guido Contini having a mid-life crisis trying to come to terms with it stifling his creativity, relationships and finish his latest masterpiece. English actor Daniel Day Lewis takes the lead role straight of the back of the success of oil drama ‘There Will Be Blood’.

Jennifer’s Body
Director: Karyn Kusama
Starring: Megan Fox (Transformers), Adam Brody (Thank You for Smoking), Amanda Seyfield (Mamma Mia!), J.K. Simmons (Spiderman 3)

Written by ‘Juno’ writer Diablo Cody, this is a twisted homage to teen horror films as possessed teen Fox kills her way through her classmates while her best friends tries to stop her and a Satanic cult worshipping rock band lead by ‘The O.C.’s’ Seth Cohen. Also Fox strips off so whatever the plot its worth seeing.

Shutter Island/Ashecliffe
Director: Martin Scorsese (The Departed)
Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio (Body of Lies), Ben Kingsley (Lucky Number Slevin), Mark Ruffalo (Zodiac)

Set in the 1950s, ‘Shutter Island/Ashecliffe’ stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a U.S. Marshal sent to hunt down an escapee from a mental institution located on a remote island off the coast of Massachusetts. Scorsese’s next big film after success of ‘The Departed’ and Scorsese only does Oscar-nominated work!

Ming est une taupe dans la police de Hong Kong, Yan est une Taupe dans la Triade. Le rôle que chacun va jouer va alors être le début d’une course poursuite à la dénonciation.

Infernal Affairs est un thriller haletant, machiavélique et jouissif où deux stars du cinéma asiatique explosent l’écran. Andy Lau est excellent dans son rôle complexe mais Tony Leung est tout simplement fabuleux (une fois de plus). Cet acteur est vraiment l’un de mes préférés.

Entre suspens et courses contre la montre, ce film est un jeu d’échec géant où des pions ne cessent de se croiser. Le plus étonnant est la relation qui les lie, entre respect et trahison, sans qu’ils n’oublient leur devoir pour leur clan respectif. La fin est particulièrement révélatrice sur leurs sentiments et je ne pouvais pas en imaginer une autre. Leur intelligence est mise à rude épreuve car le plan qu’ils concoctent doit faire échouer le plan de l’autre, sans éveiller les soupçons.

Un brillant film que le remake ne parvient pas à égaler. Je ne remets pas en question le jeu d’acteur de Di Caprio et de Damon mais Tony Leung et Andy Lau sont vraiment un ton au-dessus. De plus, je n’ai pas retrouvé la tension permanente dans Les Infiltrés et, sans remettre en cause le talent de Mr Scorsese, il a fait un film moins poignant qui perd un peu de son cachet. Par un scénario simple mais qui vire au génie, Infernal Affairs vous clouera à votre siège. Purée, ce que j’aime le cinéma asiatique.

I grandi film si riconoscono ogni tanto dalle piccole cose. Da un apparecchio per l’udito che viene staccato all’ultima scena, per esempio, dopo aver ascoltato abbastanza. Da come la macchina da presa inquadra dal basso una coppia che si abbraccia in un giorno teoricamente felice mentre i figli corrono spensierati facendo lo slalom tra le gocce d’acqua di un annaffiatoio. Revolutionary road non e’ un American Beauty ambientato 40 anni prima, qui nessuno fa cose troppo anticonformiste, qui nessuno pretende di far finta di amare, qui quella patina di ipocrisia esplode in continuazione. Mendes mette in scena fedelmente un altro romanzo (da Richard Yates), e lo fa ancora con la sua cifra, fatta di colori accessi, dimensione acquario/vetrina, volti e inquadrature piene di gente dentro, fotografia meravigliosa.

È probabilmente questione di gusti: se non sopportate uno zoom continuo verso i volti dei protagonisti – soprattutto Di Caprio qui – questo film non fa per voi. E non importa se poi l’unica volta che c’e’ un zoom al contrario, dal piccolo al grande, e’ quando Kate Winslet sta in piedi, davanti alla finestra, quella finestra che si affaccia sul bianco sobborgo piccolo-borghese, e comincia a sanguinare, e quella gonna così piccolo-borghese si macchia di sangue: la famiglia si dissolve, muore, si esaurisce.

Mendes non tocca le corde di tutti, non è un regista acclamato dai critici sempre e comunque, ma non e’ mai uno che fa il suo compitino senza trasgredire e tutti a casa. Anzi, casomai trasgredisce ad ogni film, facendo di questa voglia ostentata di mostrare l’altra faccia della medaglia un motivo ricorrente del suo cinema. E quindi qui, in Revolutionary Road, il “pazzo” interpretato da Michael Shannon da forse voce allo stesso Mendes, dicendo quello che tutti sanno ma non voglio ammettere e sentirsi dire.

Una nota, infine, sul titolo. Per fortuna questa volta anche in Italia e’ stato distribuito col titolo giusto, quello originale, senza storpiature, mentre Road to Perdition (film di Mendes del 2002), in italiano divenne Era mio padre. Mendes nei suoi titoli ci suggerisce una relazione con le strade, ed in effetti i suoi film ambientati in America hanno a che fare con le strade, sia che le si percorra per andare da qualche parte sia che si analizzi la vita in una particolare strada. I distributori italiani questa volta si sono risparmiati lo scempio, anche se Era mio figlio poteva essere un titolo piuttosto efficace per Revolutionary Road.
