Esta diabetes, de tipo II, afecta a casi <strong>3’5 millones de personas sólo en España</strong>, y es provocada por la molécula <strong>CXCL5</strong>, proveniente del tejido adiposo que, en los casos de obesidad, es mucho más abundante.</p>

<p>Este descubrimiento, de manos de un equipo de científicos europeos, revela que esta molécula contribuye a la resistencia orgánica a la insulina y a la diabetes tipo II. Pero esta investigación va más allá, consiguiendo un <strong>nuevo tratamiento para inhibir la CXCL5 y, así, prevenir la aparición de esta enfermedad tan extendida y peligrosa:</strong> “Si estos estudios se confirman en humanos, este tratamiento significaría una mejora fundamental en el nivel de vida de los individuos obesos” , según Lluis Fajas, autor principal del estudio e investigador del Instituto de la Salud y la Investigación Médica (Inserm) en Francia.<br />

El estudio de las causas y consecuencias de las enfermedades que azotan la sociedad desarrollada actual, y su prevención, es uno de los campos donde más se invierte en investigación, y los esfuerzos de todos estos investigadores van dando poco a poco sus frutos, como en este caso, que <strong>podríamos estar ante la “vacuna” contra la diabetes tipo II.</strong></p>

<p>Så er det i gang igjen, krangelen om hva man bør spise og hva man ikke bør spise: Mindre karbohydrater eller mindre fett?</p>
<p>I <a href="http://www.tidsskriftet.no/index.php?seks_id=1916562" target="_blank">siste utgave av Tidsskrift for den Norske Legeforening </a>går Fedon Lindberg, Dag V. Poleszynzki, Iver Mysterud og Stig Bruset til angrep på norske ernæringsmyndigheter og deres kostholdsanbefalinger. De vil tilbake til steinalderkostholdet med mye fett og lite karbohydrater. </p>
<p><a href="http://sunnhet.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/healthy-choice-yaymico.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1697" title="Eating Healthy" src="http://sunnhet.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/healthy-choice-yaymico.jpg?w=300" alt="" width="300" height="205" /></a></p>
<p>Alle husker vi den intense debatten som gikk for noen år siden mellom Fedon Lindberg og ernæringsrådet på hvilke kostråd som fremmet bedre helse. Burde vi spise mer eller mindre poteter, ris og pasta. Sett utenfra så det nærmest ut til å være et hatforhold mellom partene, og det var i grunnen bare trist å observere.</p>
<p>Strengt tatt så var vel ikke forskjellene de aller største mellom Fedon og ernæringsrådet. Stort sett så var kostrådene ganske like, men forskjellene om synet på brød og poteter ble slått stort opp i mediene. I høst kunne vi se på NRK Dagsrevyen at <a href="http://www.helsedirektoratet.no/ernaeringsraadet/b_de_lavkarbodietter_og_tradisjonelle_slankedietter_gir_vektreduksjon___542254" target="_blank">Nasjonalt Råd for Ernæring nå er enig med Fedon i at en lavkarbodiett kan være egnet som slankekur</a>. En alltid debattklar Dag V. Poleszynzki ønsker i en <a href="http://www.matoghelse.no/enkeltsider/blogg/ernaeringsraadet-anbefaler-lavkarbokosthold!.aspx" target="_blank">artikkel i Mat&#38;Helse </a>naturligvis ernæringsrådet velkommen etter.</p>
<p>Firkløveret mener i artikkelen at vi mennesker fremdeles er mest tilpasset et steinalderkosthold med mye kjøtt, fisk og planter, ikke et kosthold med kornprodukter. De viser til at folkegrupper som fremdeles i dag lever som jegere og sankere ikke sliter med sykdommer som diabetes, overvekt, kreft og hjerte- og karsykdom. Det er vel ikke vanskelig å nikke samtykkende til det siste. Men hadde vi alle sammen klart å leve etter de kostrådene myndighetene gir om mat og fysisk aktivitet, så er det ikke sikkert det hadde stått så galt til med folkehelsa.</p>
<p>Men kan egentlig noen av partene med hånden på hjerte si at de har funnet trylleformelen mot overvekt? Vi blir bare tykkere og tykkere, vi spiser mer og mer sjokolade og salgskurven for frukt og grønnsker har igjen begynt å dale.  Og dette til tross for at det neppe skorter på nok informasjon om sunn mat og helse.</p>
<p>Nå er det nedsatt en nordisk ekspertgruppe som skal revidere de nordiske ernæringsrådene. Kanskje de vil ta evolusjonshistorein med i betraktning slik artikkelforfatterne ønsker. Dette arbeidet skal være ferdig i 2011.</p>
<p>Men mitt stalltips er nok at kostrådene som i dag gjelder i grove trekk også kommer til å bli stående etter 2011. Det er mulig det blir noen små justeringer i retning av mindre karbohydrater og noe mer protein og fett. Men alt i alt så tror jeg nok at vi må belage oss på at ernæringsekspertene kommer til å fortsette diskusjonene også i fremtiden.</p>

<p><span style="color:#000080;"><span style="color:#339966;">This article explores <strong><em>mental</em></strong> <strong><em>health</em></strong> nurses&#8217; diabetes training needs. A survey of inpatient and community <strong><em>mental</em></strong> <strong><em>health</em></strong> nurses was undertaken using a 16-item self-reporting questionnaire. Two hundred and twenty questionnaires were sent out and 138 returned, providing a response rate of 63%. Analysis shows that <strong><em>mental</em></strong> <strong><em>health</em></strong> nurses are currently involved in a range of diabetes care activities, however, their knowledge and skills may not be up to date. <strong><em>Mental</em></strong> <strong><em>health</em></strong> nurses also report the growing impact of diabetes care on their workload. Areas of identified training needs include taking blood glucose readings, giving dietary advice, liaison with diabetes nurse specialists and weight management. <strong><em>Mental</em></strong> <strong><em>health</em></strong> services and education providers need toconsider developing specific training courses for <strong><em>mental</em></strong> <strong><em>health</em></strong> nurses.</span></span></p>

<description><![CDATA[Tonight as I was settling onto the couch with my jelly babies getting ready to watch the season fina]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Tonight as I was settling onto the couch with my jelly babies getting ready to watch the season finale of Rush ( my second fav tv show) I remembered that it was the quarterly ozED teleconferance. I jumped to my desk, looked up the details and phoned in.</p>
<p>I am so glad I did. Not because of the info I got from it, but also because of the feeling of &#8220;belonging&#8221; I get from being able to talk to a supportive, caring and understanding group of people, that I truely feel I can contribute my thoughts, feelings and limited experiance with Ed too. I learnt, giggled, smiled and relected during the call, and i must say I feel better, kinda like the weight of living with HED has been lifted a little, as I know I&#8217;m not alone in this. I know I have my family in this house and in town, but my ED family means just as much.</p>
<p>I messed up today BIG time. I went shopping this afternoon and forgot to take my phone&#8230; and guess what happened. The school rang. Emily needed assistance from us, and Dave was home on a hot day ( 3oish) with a sleeping bub and no way of contacting me. He called his Mum but she was at work, so he woke Charlotte up, carried her to school ( as I had the pram in the car) and carrying her the 4 blocks to school in the heat all the while spraying her with a water bottle. I arrived home to find the house empty. I immediatly thought of where they would be and drove to the school&#8230;.Emily is now fine and I am still waiting for Charlotte to forgive Mummy&#8230;. note to self&#8230; glue the mobile to my hand.</p>
<p>It is raining here atm so I am looking forward to the cooler days over the weekend</p>

<p>Diabetes terjadi ketika tubuh tidak memproduksi atau menggunakan insulin dengan benar, suatu hormon yang diperlukan untuk mengubah gula, pati dan makanan lainnya menjadi energi yang kita butuhkan untuk kehidupan sehari-hari.</p>
<p>Ada dua jenis utama diabetes:</p>
<ul>
<li>Tipe I. Juga disebut juvenile diabetes tipe I diabetes adalah kelainan autoimmune yang account selama 5 sampai 10 persen dari semua kasus diabetes. Pada penderita diabetes tipe I, tubuh tidak menghasilkan insulin apapun; orang dengan bentuk diabetes harus mengambil suntikan insulin setiap hari untuk tetap hidup. <li> Insulin-dependent diabetes tampaknya tidak akan mampu menghentikan insulin digunakan, dan jangan pernah mencoba untuk melakukannya.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li> Turunkan berat badan jika Anda kelebihan berat badan. Kelebihan lemak tubuh menyebabkan sel-sel tubuh menjadi resisten terhadap insulin.</li>

Sejak produksi insulin, kadar gula darah, dan jenis makanan makan diabetes memainkan peran besar dalam pengelolaan penyakit, penting untuk mematuhi diabetes diet yang sehat.</p>

Testing of both <a href="http://www.americannutrition.com/store/CN-Alpha-Lipoic-Acid-200mg-120Vcaps.html">alpha-lipoic acid</a> and gamma-linolenic acid in combination for diabetes treatment has been coduced in recent years.</p>
<p>Researchers from the University of Aberdeen found promise for future studies of <a href="http://www.americannutrition.com/store/evening_primrose.html">gamma-linolenic acid</a> and alpha-lipoic acid in humans. The April 1998 Diabetologia, revealed the effects of alpha-lipoic acid, gamma-linolenic acid and other essential fatty acid ingestion on the nerve<br />
function of diabetic rats. The conclusion was that the combination improved<br />
the rats&#8217; nerve function and is &#8220;worthy of consideration for clinical<br />
trials.&#8221;</p>
<p>A few months later, another study confirmed this evidence. The July<br />
Diabetologia told of a British study, also of <a href="http://www.americannutrition.com/store/CN-Alpha-Lipoic-Acid-200mg-120Vcaps.html">alpha-lipoic acid</a> and gamma-<br />
linolenic acid on diabetic rats. The final word was the combination &#8220;is<br />
effective in improving both electrophysiological and neurochemical&#8221; aspects<br />
of experimental neuropathy.</p>

<p>First of all &#8211; weigh in &#8211; 286 pounds.  That&#8217;s down 7 from last week, 18 since surgery, and 35 from my highest weight.</p>
<p>My primary care doctor is thrilled.  I am officially off all my diabetes medications and blood pressure meds.  I&#8217;m down to one cholesterol med and my metoprolol for my heart.  Wooo Hooo! </p>
<p>I see my surgeon again in two weeks, and I see my primary care again in January.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m so glad I&#8217;ve had this surgery.  I&#8217;m reborn.  My life is starting again and I&#8217;m so thankful.</p>

Berikut penjelasannya bahwa bersepeda dapat mencegah:</p>

<li>Penyakit Pada Kardiovaskular<br />
Jantung yang sehat mengurangi resiko penyakit kardiovaskular. Penyakit pada kardiovaskular terdiri stroke, tekanan darah tinggi dan serangan jantung. Berspeda secara teratur dapat menstimulasi dan meningkatkan kinerja jantung, paru-paru dan sirkulasi darah. Otot jantung menjadi lebih kuat, denyut nadi lebih teratur dan mengurangi tingkat lemah darah.</li>
<li>Kanker<br />

<p>Pada sendi, suatu jaringan tulang rawan yang biasa disebut dengan nama kartilago biasanya menutup ujung-ujung tulang penyusun sendi.
