Det är inte nyttigt det här, att vara peppad på två onlinespel samtidigt. Jag vet ju att det inte kommer att finnas tid till båda, om ens ett av dem. Som tur var kommer de ju inte samtidigt – men måste jag välja mellan Aion och The Old Republic så väljer jag nog faktiskt Aion – hör och häpna. Men de som känner mig väldigt väl skulle inte bli förvånade. Hela Aions atmosfär skriker Emmy.

Jag såg precis en ny film som visar mer av miljöerna i spelet och det är bara att erkänna: jag är en grafikhora. Det är superviktigt med bra innehåll, bra struktur, balanserade klasser, intressanta uppdrag och så vidare och så vidare. Men ska det få mitt hjärta att slå dubbelslag ska grafiken också finnas där. Aion är galet vackert.

Ni kan se filmen här och avgöra själva.

Jag vet att många tycker att grafiken är viktig i ett spel, men inte primär. Och visst, jag kan sätta mig ner, spela Diablo 2 och vara fullständigt nöjd trots med dagens mått mätt usel grafik. Men nya spel ska vara snygga! Det ger mig mer glädje när jag spelar. Men sen ska det såklart finnas innehåll också för annars håller det inte i längden. Assassin’s Creed är ett exempel jag använt förut. Hänsynslöst vackert och detta kombinerat med en underbar spelmotorik. Sen att uppdragen är likadana hela tiden spelar under en lång tid mindre roll. Tycker jag. Vad tycker ni? Är grafiken viktig?

I’m really not in the mood to paint/draw or do anything at the moment.  Just sit and do nothing and marvel at how rubbish life is, and what a colossal failure I am for having to put my feelings on a blog and and then sit in my room and not talking to anybody.  Against my will to do nothing, I finished this.

Again, very little effort went into this.  Didn’t try anything new.  Forgot where I grabbed the Diablo font.  It’s not mine.  And the purpose of this was to make Mephisto a loli.  And then I decided to draw her with “calm exterior hiding a cruel interior”-look, then decided I wanted to preserve the macabre feel of the whole game and the character design beyond just the horns and other protrusions.  Then I fucked the whole thing up with my shitty colouring and tasteless photoshop gradient masking.

Aproveitem-se da minha boa vontade: são 2:29 AM de uma madrugada de sexta-feira pra sábado. É, podem falar que é nerdice, eu deixo.

Se você tiver procurando algo de útil (tipo isso aqui)… Aliás, deve ter vindo parar aqui pelo Google, hahaha.

Enfim, do nada me interessei em jogar Diablo 2 rodando no Linux Ubuntu atualizadinho. Eu não sabia NADA do Wine, vulgo “Wine Is Not an Emulator”, pra ver como que fazia. Olhei um pouco aqui e ali e descobri que era só rodar o arquivo que eu queria (<cdrom>:setup.exe) na linha de comando, usando, no meu caso,

wine /media/cdrom/setup.exe &

onde o ‘&’ grátis ali, pra quem não sabe, é pra executar o comando em background. Assim, se você fechar a janela do terminal por motivos quaisquer, o programa continua executando.

Enfim, me veio uma pergunta: “Tio, eu já tenho instalado o Diablo 2. Preciso instalar ele?” Resposta: SIM!

Segundo este link, que eu custei pra achar (de novo, a minha boa vontade! AHUEhuahe), os programadores do Wine dizem, nessas palavras, que “não é pra você tentar configurar o Wine pra rodar direto do C:, porque eles fizeram o Wine pensando que ia ter alguém tentando fazer justamente isso, então eless dificultaram isso a ponto de você não conseguir fazer acidentalmente e, se você conseguir, o Wine pode até continuar funcionando, mas o seu C: não”, hauehuahae!

Toca instalar o gerador de bizutos. Mesmo esquema: usa a linha de comando ali em cima e instala. Li em alguns fóruns umas pessoas dizendo que “ah, a minha instalação demorou pra caramba!”. Não sei se isso existe, e se existiu, em que época foi. Pra mim, foi mais rápido até que no Windows! O_O”

Instalado, é só acessar o Wine ou, se não, botar o CD do D2 e clicar em ‘Play’.

Aí, eu me lembrei que o meu Diablo 2 tá instalado numa partição separada da do Ruindows. Acessei o jogo na outra partição e deu certinho também, com a vantagem que já tava na versão certa.

Conclusão: instalar funciona, e rodar da outra partição também. Qual é o mais certo/garantido? Não sei. Postei no fórum deles, e espero logo ter uma resposta, aí eu dou edit aqui.

Edit 1: se você não tem placa de vídeo no seu computador, mas insiste em forçar, parabéns se você conseguir. Meu PC começou a pedir água quando entrou na sala da Bnet. Fazer o q… =/

“% Better Chance of Getting Magic Item” can provide a significant increase in the number of Unique, Rare, and Set Items you find. Players that wish to find “good” Rare Items, and more Set and Unique Items will want to invest heavily in this magical bonus. Just remember, you can never have enough % Better Chance. Increasing your Magic Find Percentage will always help you.

“% Better Chance of Getting Magic Item” does not increase the Chances of getting an Exceptional Item but if you do roll an Exceptional Item the chance of that being Magical/Rare will increase.

How do Chance to Find Magic Items really work?
If you find an item that gives 20% Better Chance of Getting a Magic Item, and a Monster has a 2% chance to drop a Magic Item, you will now have 2.4% Chance of getting that Magic Item.

I have a 100% better chance of getting magic items but I don’t get them all the time why?
This is base upon the monsters chance to drop an item. With a 100% better chance of getting a magic item, a monster with a 1% chance of dropping a magical item would have that random chance go up to 2%.

What exactly are “Magic Items”
Magic Items in this definition include Magic Items, Set Items, Unique Items and Rare Items.

Is there a cap on Magic Find?
No.

Is there an ideal % Magic Find Number?
No. The more the better. Previously a bug resulted a penalty for more than a certain percentage, but this has been fixed.

I heard if you get Magic Find high enough you get all Sets and Uniques
No. This was the case in previous versions due to a bug but that has been corrected (sorry!).

Will Magic Find work on Barrels, Chests, or other non Monsters that drop items?
Yes.

Does Magic Find work on bosses?
Yes.

Will Magic Find work on Runes?
No. It has no bearing on the number of Runes you’ll find (you don’t find more magic items and less Runes for example, nor is there a greater chance of getting a Rune or a better Rune, etc.).

Will Magic Find work to increase finding Magic Items with the Barbarian’s Find Item Skill?
Yes.

Will Magic Find help getting better Items from Gambling?
No.

Will Magic Find work with Minions and Hirelings?
Yes. When you make a kill, you get the Magic Find % of yourself only. When a Hireling gets a kill, it uses the combined Magic Find of the Hireling and you.

How does Magic Find work in a Party?
The chance to get a Magic Item will be determined on the player that makes the killing blow on the monster. If the party has several items that give a Better Chance of Getting Magic Item, they are not added together, whichever party member makes the killing blow will determine the chance of getting a Magic Item. For the best results, have the player in the party that has the best Chance of Getting a Magic Item finish off all the monsters.

Magic Find Returns
While there is no cap on Magic Find there is a diminishing return formula (that is not available) that becomes active over 10% Magic Find for Rare, Set, and Unique Items (But Not Regular Violet (Blue) Magic Items). This does not mean that it’s useless to get over 10% but it does mean that the benefits drop off as you get higher and higher Magic Find. The most Magic Find is still better than less Magic Find.

Maxing Magic Find
So you want to be the king or queen of Magic Find? A common comment is with a lot of Magic Find you’ll not be able to kill anything. Some classes such as spell casters (Sorceress, Necromancer, Elemental Druid) are more capable of sacrificing all equipment for Magic Find. You may wish to create “Magic Find Characters” to “farm” or find items then use those items on other characters.

Here’s how to get the most (1167%) out of Magic Find for yourself. This does not count the maximum possible with Hirelings but you only receive that bonus when Hirelings make a kill. Add Magic Find to Hirelings to increase Magic Find even more. Some items are pretty rare making it difficult but not impossible (especially with time and trading) to obtain the most Magic Find. Alternative “poor man” items are suggested.

110% Artisan’s Tiara of Luck (35%) Socketed with three 24% Perfect Topaz or three 25% Ist Runes.

This leaves room for a 3×2 item and the Horadric Cube. You can place your keys and Tomes in the Horadric Cube then move them out into the open space to use them. This can be frustrating to do and is only recommended for extreme players.

All Ihalf to say is, Its about time

Como algunos ya sabreis, este fin de semana Blizzard ha presentado oficialmente el Diablo III. Después de ver el vídeo in game y el trailer, me han entrado unas ganas tremendas de instalar de nuevo el Diablo II, y en ello estoy ahora mismo. Y es que, Diablo II es posiblemente, junto a Everquest 2 (en el que llegué a tener un played de 104 dias, unas 2500 horas) y Starcraft, el juego al que mas horas he dedicado en mi vida. Y es que realmente, en su mecánica absolutamente sencilla consiguió divertir como pocos.

Y es que no solo eso, tenia una historia realmente buena que te mantenia enganchado, y eso que daba igual que la hubieras visto catorce veces… los videos de la historia siguen siendo espectaculares y excelentemente dirigidos.

He ido a la habitación donde guardo libros y juegos antiguos y he encontrado las dos hermosas cajas de cartón (ah, como añoro la época de las cajas de cartón de juegos de Pc…) y he encontrado dentro tanto el juego como la expansión… Y eso que no hace mucho ya lo instalé pero lo acabé borrando al formatear el HD.

A dia de hoy al juego le pesan ya los años, especialmente en el aspecto de la resolución (640×480 para el normal y 800×600 con la expansión). Ahora veremos como me las arreglo con el monitor Wide para jugar con un aspect ratio normal…

Claro, no será como jugar al Diablo 3, pero hice exactamente lo mismo con el Diablo 1 cuando se anunció el dos, y la espera fue laaarga de narices. Así que cojeré y si aun conservo alguno de mis personajes de battle net, jugaré de nuevo, o que diablos, quizá comience de cero =). Porque sin duda uno de los aciertos de este juego es poder jugar el modo historia a traves de battle net (creo que solo jugué una vez al principio en el modo single player).

Si quereis ver el video in game, es mejor que vayais a la página oficial (www.blizzard.com/diablo3) porque en youtube los subtitulos castellanos se ven bastante mal.

Nem nagyon tudtam írni ide, mivel elég sok dolgom volt, sőt több napon keresztül itthon sem voltam. Történt velem sokminden, többek közt voltam színházban, letöltöttem idén utolsó napjaimat a suliban és elkezdtem készülődni san franciscoi utamra. Ez az, ami az elkövetkezendő másfél hetemet nagyban meghatározza majd. Még rengeteg teendőm van, fogászat, bank, mosás, vasalás, stb-stb. 

Mindeközben újra belekezdtem egy régi játékba, ami az egyetlen, amit egyszerűen nem tudok megunni, nem úgy mint a többit. Ez nem más, mint a Diablo2. De nem akarom ezzel tovább szaporítani a szót.

Másik ’szórakozásom’ az elmúlt napokban a fotózás fizikai, egészen pontosan optikai részének tanulmányozása. Ezenkívül megtanultam HDR (High Dynamic Ranged) fotókat készíteni, pontosabban a számítógépes részét tanultam meg. Sajnos saját képeken most nem tudom ezt bemutatni nektek, de Amerikában tuti készítek párat. 

By the way, America. Szerencsére kint rengeteg szabadidőm is lesz, ami egyrészt jó, mert fotózok, másrészt marad arra is időm, hogy írjak ide a blogomra és megosszam gondolataimat a helyről, megmutassam legújabb fotóimat, meséljek a technikáról amivel csináltam, etc.

Mára ennyi, most elmegyek aludni, holnap reggel ugyanis korán indulok vidékre a szüleimmel, rokonokhoz. Néha ez is kell…

Pues hoy me ha dado por probar a instalar diablo II bajo wine, la verdad que no tenía ninguna esperanza, ya que los anteriores intentos con otros juegos, habían sido un rotundo fracaso. La instalación de wine la hice como comento jamardi en un post anterior, y la verdad que va bastante bien, a la hora de ejecutar aplicaciones windows y demas. He introducido el cd de diablo2 y he ejecutado el instalador.

Y el menú de diablo a aparecido ante mi, con el sonido típico de diablo, he elegido instalación de un solo usuario y ha empezado a copiar archivos como un descosido, algún que otro error me ha dado pero le he dado a cancelar y ha continuado.

Al terminar de instalar el juego he tenido que aplicar el correspondiente parche no-cd para poder jugar, el directorio de instalación por defecto en wine es

~/wine/fake_windows/

Pues bien por último, he introducido el cd de juego y lo he ejecutado… pero chas! me ha dado un error de que no se podía cargar el driver 3d, o algo de pantalla, ya me he desesperado. Pero buscando por google he dado con un post en los foros oficiales de ubuntu en el que un usuario decia:

OK, run the vid test again, but dont go through the whole test, just start the program, then, cant remember the button, but I think its the middle one, then choose the 2d option, will be the first one on the list, not the suggested one. Then rune the winecfg, and select game_crack.exe, select os level of win98, then go to the video tab and check the virtual screen. set it to 800×600 or 1024×768. Then rune the wine game-crack.exe and tell me what happens. Maybe Ill try and get the screen shots of what I did if this soounds confusing.

que viene a decir que en consola se ejecute el comando winecfg, seleccione el archivo de ejecución del juego(game.exe) y le especifique una serie de opciones, tales como que el sistema de ejecución es windows98, la resolución de pantalla con la que quiero jugar, y activar la emulación 3d, comentar, que en esta configuración también hay un apartado de sonido. Después de configurar esto lo he vuelto a ejecutar…

y todo ok sin ningun tipo de problemas, he estado jugando un ratejo y todo muuuy fluido con sonidos y demas… vamos un maravillla.
