Voici une publicité pour des collants Dim, diffusée en 2009, dont l’action se déroule à Opéra, station de métro parisienne.

Cette publicité met en scène quatre jeunes femmes, trois blanches et une noire, en collant dansant au son de bongo joué par un jeune homme noir. Ici, le stéréotype est de voir un noir jouer de ce type d’instrument, certes souvent associé aux rythmes afro-cubains mais aussi communément utilisé dans beaucoup d’autres types de musique. Dans la réalité, on trouve également beaucoup de blancs qui jouent avec des instruments à percussions de ce type.

Pourtant, le jeune homme est habillé à « l’européenne » ce qui ne légitime donc pas l’utilisation d’un instrument supposé traditionnel. Si le stéréotype était « entier », le jeune homme aurait porté une tenue traditionnelle cubaine ou africaine.

C’est donc sa tenue qui rend l’analyse plus difficile parce qu’il y a un désir d’intégration qui est accentué par le fait qu’il y ait une jeune femme noire parmi trois blanches. Le nom de la station n’est pas non plus anodin : l’Opéra est un lieu de musique et de rythmes et en général, on y associe plutôt de la musique et de la danse classique et non pas des rythmes afro-cubains. Cela légitime le fait que le jeune homme soit habillé « comme un blanc ».

Le doute persiste encore après l’analyse de ces éléments : la tenue du jeune homme et le lieu où se déroule l’action sont-ils un désir de ne pas stéréotyper, une volonté d’intégration ou les deux ?

The GazettE and Alice in Chains have been staples of my music selection over the years. I love them both, great bands, great talent, great music. But this year they both let me down. Not in a huge way, but both DIM and Black Gives Way to Blue were disappointments for me.

The GazettE really are a talented band and I’ve been listening to DIM since July when it released but I still can’t see how it’s any better than the band’s previous albums, in fact in may be worse. There is a noticeable difference between the quality of the music between Stacked Rubbish and DIM. Ruki is still as strange and vague as ever but the band seems to have gotten lazy. The three previously released singles on the CD were probably better than most of the tracks on the CD. In fact, The GazettE could have used all nine songs from the the three singles and they would have put out a better album.

I’m not saying the album is terrible but so many things are missing on the musical end. The album is pretty much void of good guitar solos, if they are there they are muddled by effects of Ruki making noise. Aside from Guren there isn’t really any gut wrenching, make you want to cry songs. The heavy songs are more muddled and crazy as ever. It almost seems like some songs were made especially to attract a younger crowd. In fact I felt a few times that Ruki or Kai could not have wrote certain songs since some just seem manufactured to blend in with a increasingly generic visual scene. If DIM was supposed to be the spiritual successor to NIL it did a piss poor job.

I’m also starting to wonder what is up again considering the gazeboys released Before I Decay in October.

Now onto Alice in Chains. There really isn’t too much to say, I’m glad the band is back together, I’m glad their making music again but no one can replace Staley. There is just something missing in the vocals. Though I must say, great job on putting some sort of meaning back into mainstream music. Radio rock has largely shifted from decent angsty music to really shitty party music. We’re at a point where there are hair metal lyrics mixed with grunge music and it makes me want to puke. It’s so terrible, honestly how many songs do we really need about partying?

Hola, en la carrera llevamos una clase llamada Tecnologias Emergentes, en la cual parte del curso consiste en exponer sobre tecnologias o aplicaciones nuevas basicamente. En una ocasión, gracias a mi compañero Jorgelig me entere de esta hermosura de aplicación que encima es Gratis.

Es nada mas y nada menos que Dim Dim, y consta de basicamente clases virtuales. En este portal, puedes levantar una sesion tu como host, y otras personas pueden unirse a tu sesión. Por ejemplo, si tienes que dar una clase y hay alumnos que no pueden estar presentes, pues entras a Dim Dim, levantas una sesión, el material que hibas a impartir en clase, lo subes (presentación PowerPoint, Documento Word, PDF, etc), y entran otras personas que son tus alumnos, tu cuentas con microfono y con camara y los demas pueden ver y oir lo que estas haciendo, ver tu presentación o archivo que subiste, tambien, si necesitas consultar una pagina para explicar algo, tienes la opcion de abrir un navegador e ir haciendo cosas en el para que los demas puedan ver lo que estas haciendo sin poder moverle, solamente de observadores. Cuentas tambien con un pequeño chat para platicas, compartir tu escritorio, etc, etc.

Es toda una maravilla y queda como anillo al dedo para realizar una clase virtual a distancia, conferencias, etc. Pruebenlo, ademas que es totalmente GRATIS, no te toma ni 5 minutos registrarte y otros 3 o 4 en levantar la sesión para la conferencia o la clase.

Yo lo vi, lo probe y desde entonces estoy enamorado de esta aplicación XD…

It look like fun to be feature on the main page of an event site like the recent event that are taking place in Singapore is the AFA 09 [Anime Festival Asia] this month. It’s sad to see major anime events are hosted outside of my country where I’m currently reside. Yea~ you can see small to a medium anime event here but that’s just it and I would not guaranty the quality of event as I have experienced some myself that I felt rip off after leaving.

I guess Malaysia have far too many laws and restrictions that needs to be obey by the organizers so they just simply skip my country. Jumping countries would be a wise and reasonable choice to choose from a sea of nation. If any event organizers do set up event in Malaysia then it will be certainly less exciting and I can assure that. The law here are very different as it is rule by Muslim who practice Islam teaching within the system but run under the cloak of the name of Democracy. I’m not discriminating anyone here but only say what I see and know.

It would be hard to sell any eroge related products such as eroge game, dakimakura, doujinshi, artbook and so forth. Be reminded that these products contain sex scenes, half nude, upper part, pose, you know the drill.

The Otaku community have been growing in recent years thanks to the moe boom that started it all. With the latest moe blob “K-On” it have recruited even more otaku than before. It’s no mistake that it’s growing each and everyday but do not have a reasonable convention to support/cater the otaku community.It would be convenient that event such as AFA be located near somewhere I live  and not taking a 5 hours ride just to attend an event in Singapore. Not to say that I hate traveling but it’s too time consuming.

Any hope for the future? Not so as it look dim to me from the current perspective. I can’t even see if our objectives of the Nation will be achieve in the year 2020, 2040 or whatever catchy number they deem right. Naturally , when we laugh at something we know that special “something” that’s why it is funny but they are still people who are blinded and take it another way.

Not so long ago I said the only fly in the immigration ointment was that our Care Cards had been delayed. Well, that’s all over now, as they’re here and we’re in the system. To celebrate, we’re off to the dentist today (not actually covered under the health system, but Mrs Dim has some jolly good Health Insurance as part of her job, so there you go.) It’s a Pro D day, so the kids aren’t in school and for once I’m not whining about it. There’s no half term here, and they’re all exhausted, so giving them a day when they don’t have to leap out of bed early and rush off into the rain (yeah, it’s Fall here, so it’s raining!) might do ‘em some good. Of course, the two tiniest weasels have leaped out of bed early anyway, but they’re slumped on the sofa watching TV and making no effort to expend any energy. Mrs Dim has launched off for another day of work, but she goes with a smile on her face.

What I love about life at the moment is the sudden realisations – we live in Canada! I get ‘em when I drive down the hill and see mountains on the horizon. I get ‘em when I drive to the shops, park in the underground car park and go shopping without getting wet on a rainy day. Yesterday I was reading the local paper and one of the columnists was saying that he’d just been to the US and he reckoned the level of customer service was better there. He said Canadians do ok, but good service in Canada is as rare as bad service in the US. I laughed, thinking of the UK. This week I was out for coffee with someone who wants me to write an article about his business. He’s an ex-pat, and we took along his Design Bod, who is also from England. The three of us went into the local Starbucks and had a collective English moment. I asked for a black coffee, and then got grilled for twenty minutes – did I want extra hot water, what type of coffee, what size of cup? The other laughed at my naivity and then tried to order tea. That took another half an hour and fifty questions. We didn’t bother with snacks.

I have my home page set to the UK news, so I was watching the approach of the BNP on Question Time with mild interest. It also cropped up on FaceBook, with some of my more vocal friends setting out their arguments for or against. I’m glad that it looks like letting the Chief Idiot of the party onto the show allowed him to demonstrate his stupidity and bigotry – he’s now complaining that he was bullied. Oh dear, my heart bleeds – for a party who support a ban on immigration, pursued a racist policy and incite hatred (not to mention the man himself being a Holocaust Denier) to be bullied, what a shame! The sad part is that they will never accept that what they believe is wrong.

A long time ago, when I was at college, we had to do a course which I always think of as Moral Philosophy. It wasn’t, but that’s what it felt like. Our teacher was radically liberal. There were no gray areas in his life, and he was in favour of rights for everybody, which is a lovely idea. Except we ran into a small wrinkle one day. He announced that he would not be teaching the next day’s lesson because he had to attend a rally in London to march on the headquarters of a Neo-Nazi-type group. The plan was that his group would crush the Neo-Nazis in some way, destroying them forever. Now, nobody in our class was Pro-Nazi, but someone raised the point that, even though their ideas were reprehensible, the fact that we live in a Democracy means they have the right to hold those views. They can’t enforce their ideas of hatred, they can’t act on them, but they CAN hold them.

No, said the teacher. They are wrong, and we will crush them. He wouldn’t accept that he was passing judgement on a group of people and trying to impose his world view on them, just like the Nazis themselves tried to do. The difference was, he reasoned, that the Nazis were wrong and he wasn’t. So it goes with the BNP. They rally the disenfranchised to their banner, but the response should not be to try and ban them, to attack them, to push them out. They are trying to say that Britain is exclusively the province of a white Anglo-Saxon people, which is patently absurd. The best thing to do is let them set out their policies and beliefs, examine them and show HOW they are wrong. All those people who voted for them are not necessarily racist. Some will be, but I suspect a lot are simply misinformed. “The BNP want Britain for the British? Well, I’m British, hooray, maybe they’ll get me back into work? Maybe they’ll stop the immigrants living off the benefit that I paid for with my taxes…” Maybe, but I would doubt it. Britain, like Canada, is a multi-cultural society, and always has been. The mix of races and beliefs has always contributed to the growth of the nation, whereas the attempt to define “Britishness” has only led to division, hatred and violence. The BNP and parties like them are a throwback, an evolutionary dead end.

Why do I get so worked up about the country I don’t live in anymore? I still have a lot of friends there, my family live there. It’s all too easy to look back at the UK as a small, crowded pit of misery, and I’d like to think of things getting better there. Mrs Dim was talking to the weasels this week when they were down – they’d been saying “If we go back to England..” which is their chorus when they’re tired or upset. Going back to England will solve every problem, and, inTiniest Weasel’s case, allow her hair to grow back after her latest haircut…Anyway, Mrs Dim described some of the reasons we emigrated, and then I heard Middle Weasel telling some friends “England is full of people running around with knives and drinking drugs….” which is not how I remember it. For a start, I was always told never to run with knives or scissors…

I have a very hard time understanding the readings each night we are assigned one. But the good thing is when we have those class discussions. I am able to figure out what it is that i am suppose to be doing. Im pretty sure that if we did not have these after our reading i would be lost. Like now i am able to do my next assignment because i know what I have to do.

• 1 cup cabbage, finely chopped
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 lb shrimp, peeled, deveined and finely chopped
• 1/2 lb lean pork, ground
• 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon rice wine, sherry or white wine
• 1/2 tablespoon green onion, chopped
• 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
• 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, chopped
• 1 garlic clove, minced
• 32 wonton wrappers (usually 1 pkg)
• 1/8 cup vegetable oil
• 1/2 cup chicken stock

DIPPING SAUCE

• 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
• 1/2 tablespoon rice vinegar
• 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced

   Sprinkle salt over the shredded cabbage and let stand for 5 minutes, then squeeze out liquid.

   Squeeze out any liquid from the shrimp.

   Mix cabbage, shrimp, pork, soy, wine, onion, oil, ginger and garlic (filling can be mixed and refrigerated for up to 6 hours in advance).

   On each wrapper (keep them covered with a damp cloth so they do no dry out) place about 2 tsp of the mix and seal the edges, use a bit of water on the edge, try to press out all the air and ensure they are tightly sealed (At this point you can freeze them individually on a cookie sheet and them place in a plastic bag. They will keep for a month. Defrost in fridge before continuing).

   In 2 large skillets heat 1 tbsp oil, fry 16 dumplings for 1 minute or until golden on one side add 1/4 cup of stock into the pan, reduce heat to low, cover and cook, without turning for about 7 minutes or until the dumpling is translucent and most of the liquid has evaporated Uncover and on higher heat cook for another 5-7 minutes or until the bottoms are dark brown, drain put on a platter and keep warm.

   Repeat for the remaining 32 dumplings.

   Mix the dipping sauce and serve with warm or hot dumplings.

 Yeni Atama biçimleri

VB.NET değişken değeri atamalarında yeni biçimleri veya ifadeleri destekler. Örneğin VB6 ve VB.NET de bir değişken değerini şöyle atayabiliriz: a = a + 7

Farklı olarak VB.NET de bunu kısa bir yoldan yapmamız mümkün:

 Dizi Değişkenler:

Diziler programlamada en çok hata yapılan konulardan biridir. Kafa karıştırıcı etkenlerin başında dizi boyutu ile eleman sayılarının farklılaşması vardır.

 VB6”da dizi indeksi sıfırdan başlıyabileceği gibi herhangi bir sayıdanda başlar. Ayrıca dizinin son elemanı, dizi indeksinde belirtilen değere eşittir, dolayısı ile eleman sayısı, dizi boyutunda belirtilenden, her zaman bir fazladır. Eğer alt limit sıfırdan başlamamışsa dahada değişiktir:

            Dim a(2) Integer

 a(0)=1

a(1)=1

a(2)=1

 Yukarıdaki örnekte dizi boyutu 2 olarak tanımlanmıştır, ancak herhangi bir şey belirtilmediğinden alt indeks sıfır değeri alır. VB.NET de tek bir satırda dizi değişken değeri atamak mümkündür, ancak bunun da temel bir yazım ifadesi vardır:

            Dim renkler(3) As String = {“mavi” , “kırmızı”, “sarı”}

Burada değerleri {} belirteçleri içinde kullanmalıyız. Böyle bir kullanımda dizinin boyutunu kullanma zorunluluğu yoktur:

Finalmente se dió a conocer el veredicto final de la DIMAYOR en cuanto al caso del jugador de Santa Fe que fue mal alineado en un encuentro que el equipo cardenal disputó con el lider absoluto del fútbol colombiano.

Despues de muchos ires y venires, la DIMAYOR determinó que los puntos eran del rojo de Medellín, dejandolo así absolutamente clasificado a falta de seis fechas o 18 puntos que servirán para teóricamente, sumar 48 puntos históricos.

Celebramos los tres puntos, aunque no los necesitábamos. Todo sea entonces para la justicia.

Se pasaron tres exámenes fundamentales para el rojo frente a equipos de calidad táctica y técnica como lo fueron Equidad (de local, 1-0), América de Cali (de visitante, 2-1) y ahora contra el segundo mejor equipo de la Mustang II, Junior que con el segundo, tercero y cuarto goleadores, se vieron pobres ante la táctica del cuadro escarlata.

Leonel por momentos parecía ser un jugador mas de la plantilla del rojo. Pese a su traje elegante, se le vio por momentos corriendo de lado a lado en el ‘corral’ que se le guarda a los entrenadores para que den sus indicaciones y demostró que su habilidad sigue siendo intacta, pero esta vez lo demuestra en la cancha con un equipo ordenado, que no se desespera y que sabe recuperar el balón en tanto lo tiene y cuando no.

Lo mas importante es que NO NOS REGALARON NADA, que los árbitros no nos favorecieron con su actuación ni con sus errores (Cali-Atlético Nacional por ejemplo..) porque desde el principio, Imer Machado estuvo atento con las amarillas y posteriores expulsiones, incluso respirandole en la nuca a Samuel Vanegas que hizo otro buen partido pese a la expulsión que lo hizo salir aplaudido por la gente de Occidental.

En definitiva, otro partidazo del DIM que estrenó patrocionio de UNE, seguramente para este partido, pero que deja la ilusión de poder ver la camiseta con una empresa que ayude al bolsillo del equipo.

To talk about dim sum during Mid-Autumn Festival is like to talk about scoring goals in tennis. While in tennis you score aces instead of goals, you hardly hear people mentioning ‘dim sum’ in the same breath as ‘Mid-Autumn Festival’. Instead, mooncake, lanterns and the big round moon should be the main features of the festival. But this year, the Mid-Autumn Festival was truly about dim sum. Wait a second, did I just put the two terms in the same sentence? No mistake there, because this year’s celebration was really in essence, a Dim-Sum event.

At about 7pm, a group of people claiming to be the leaders of the Dim Sum clan assembled at the E4 kitchenette. After a short discussion, they started getting themselves busy with baking powder, flour, eggs, chicken wings, char siew sauce and the oven. It took a while before it became apparent they were not making xiao long baos, chee cheong funs or siew mais. They were actually preparing supper for their dearest Dim Sum clan members!

As dark clouds thickened overhead and the clock struck nine, the Dim Sums began to converge in the Communal Hall. To prevent the Dim Sums from turning cold, some energizers were played to break the ice. Scenes of them sticking stinky feet at one another, greeting each other in a silly sissy manner and rubbing their noses on particular red shirts were observed. Perhaps a secret art for preparing the delicacies?

Supper was served after that. On the menu were chicken wings and barley drink. Conspicuously absent were traditional items like mooncakes and Chinese tea. The next phase of operation involved a route march from KEVII Hall to the SRC Field, with everyone carrying a standard gear of a paper lantern. To add to the tactical difficulty, the full moon was too shy to be seen as it was shrouded in thick, dark clouds. Along the way, there was much chatter and singing, and pit stops were made to replenish ammunition – in the form of candles, as well as to get into formation to be exposed to the flashlights of the camera from time to time. At the field, much to the disappointment of the group, the moon still failed to show up, but solace was sought in the form of chats, songs and cookies. One particular cookie was noteworthy for its its mutated size and shape, for it looked more like an oversized pizza! On the return trip, more lanterns were reduced to ashes after lighting up in fireballs.

Upon reaching back in hall, there was one last surprise in store – a belated birthday celebration for Cui Shan. Amusingly, all the matches were used up during the road march that none were left to light the birthday candles! Nonetheless the frozen cheese cake more than made up for the minor blip!

A la recherche d’un soutien gorge maintenant bien la poitrine, sur conseil de G. et après essayage par dessus mes fringues en plein rayon, je me suis laissée tenter par la collection “Fit” de DIM. Je peux dire qu’ils sont super agréables à porter et jolis. Pas hyper glamour mais jolis quand même !

Grande accro de la série Sex & the city, j’ai toujours envié Carrie et son fameux collier (bon le sien est en or, ok…). J’ai enfin trouvé une bijouterie qui les faisaient à un prix plus que raisonnable. Il ne me manque que mon aller simple pour NYC !

Na, basszus, hú de rég írtam. Rövid leszek most is, sajnálom. Tudom, aki olvas már-már azt hitte, nyomom veszett. Nem, ez nem igaz. Na tehát, ezt a témát lezárva,  Saka – merthogy újdonsült nevem is van, bizony – sikeresen vizsgázott, sőt, a tanárok sajnálták, hogy nem lehet 3-asnál jobb jegyet adni. Ugye, volt a Miyavi koncertről szó, de ez nem különösebben a vizsgámon múlt, viszont Ayunak – lelkitársam, egyetlenem, és best friendem – igen. Ha nem megy át, tuti nem engedik el. Megviccelt azzal, hogy megbukott, közben mégsem, így én rohadtul szarul éreztem magam. Viszont azt hiszem, eláshatom magamat, mert sokkal keményebben vágtam neki vissza, azzal, hogy megölöm magamat – ő pedig jött volna utánam. Talán egyetlen pozitívuma van ennek a dolognak; tudjuk, hogy ki a fontos nekünk, és mennyire.  Na igen, szóval, megyek Miyavi koncertre, öt nap, és Ayu is jön velem, meg Nancy, Chiyo-chan – Érden lakik, imádom őt is nagyon – és sokan mások. Ami azt illeti, tele zagyválhatnám a cikket hülyeségekkel, mint például, hogy “jajjj, öt naaaaaaaaaaaaaap, kyaaaaaaaaaaaa”, de nincs értelme, senki sem kíváncsi erre. Egyéb tudnivaló, hogy regisztráltam a MONDO magazin netes oldalán, és a “the GazettE” fórumban olvastam, hogy lesz Magyarországon koncert. Szíven ütött, mert minden vágyam, hogy őket láthassam, szóval rákérdeztem, hogy mégis honnan szedték ezt – főleg, hogy most van egy elég durva botrány is az új lemezükkel kapcsolatban. Természetesen, szájról-szájra terjedt a hír, mert elvileg van valakinek egy ismerőse, aki mondta, hogy jövőre lesz. Amíg nincs kiírva myspace-re, addig úgyse hiszem el, de az biztos, hogyha ott meglátom, akkor rögtön megveszem a jegyet, nem késlekedek. Igen, dolgozok suli közben, és nyarakon is, szóval ez nem gond. Még érdekesség az is, hogy mostanában énekelni szoktam mikrofonon keresztül a barátnőimnek GazettE-t, Alice Nine-t, stb-t, és elvileg nagyon jó hangom van. A magas hang csiszolandó, főleg a Dir en Grey énekesének; Kyonak a magas C-je, de gyakorlat teszi a mestert. Ja igen, és tudok hörögni is. Majd talán valaki valahogy felveszi a műsoromat, és beszúrok egy videót ide. Addig is, kaptok egy DIM SCENE-t, a GazettE legújabb “DIM” nevű albumáról, ami elég, hm… nem tudom szavakkal leírni, sokat sírtam és sírok is rajta…

Fue fiesta total. El coloso de San Fernando estaba teñido de rojo desde muy temprano, cuando fuimos a apoyar al Envigado y a adelantarnos al aguacero que a esas horas se apoderaba del cielo gris de Medellín.
