WRITING SCHEDULE:

Starting September 19th, my intention is to rotate through the three existing multis on a 5 day/story cycle.  What this means is I aim to draft, send to beta then submit a chapter of a story in 5 days, then do the next story, then the third, until Through The Looking-Glass concludes (it will be done first).   At that point, I’m moving to a two story cycle until Deliratio is nearly complete, at which point I’ll pick up one of my many other ideas and get started (likely the Victoria saga).  During the two story cycle, as the mood takes me, one-shot epilogues for Disc Jockeys will finally happen again!

I’m hoping this will keep me writing, keep me organized, and keep any one story from becoming a massive wait.  Let’s see how it works out!

Here’s where things are at with my projects that are actually in progress.  In other words, if it’s not listed, its status is ‘planning’ or ‘too damn busy’, capice?

Deliratio:  Posted to chapter 5 on both Twilighted and FF.net.  Chapters 6&7 completed, chapters 8-10 detailed outlines.  Chapter 8 in progress this week.

Through The Looking-Glass: After an extremely bad block, chapter 13 is complete.  See previous entry for preview.  Will post to FF.net by Monday.  Will post to Twilighted as able.  Outline covers entire story; it was a matter of execution blocking me.

Tattoos Like Mile Markers: Currently only available at FF.net; waiting to submit to Twilighted due to queue rules.  Currently posted through chapter 4.  I have chapter 5 outlined in my head and an outline for the entire fic.  Expect new chapter within next two weeks.  The playlist for this fic is very telling *hint hint* of plot details to come.

If you’re awaiting any other projects like Disc Jockeys, please bear with me.  Tattoos Like Mile Markers was never meant to be more than a one-shot, and now I’m swamped.  On the bright side, I do believe it’s my strongest story to date, or tied at least with Deliratio.

Speaking of Deliratio, major love to SassyGeminiMom, my Twilighted validation beta, for featuring that story on the site!  That little blue ribbon gives me a special shot of glee.

DJ AM, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, the celebrity disc jockey who publicly acknowledged his history of drug addiction and had filmed a reality show in which he offered to help other addicts, was found dead in his Manhattan SoHo apartment yesterday. He was 36. 

Police found a crack pipe and prescription pills in his apartment. Paramedics had to break down the door before they found him, shirtless and wearing sweatpants, in his bed around 5:20 p.m. on Friday. 

There was no evidence of foul play, although a medical examiner will determine the cause of death. 

DJ AM, whose had openly discussed past addictions to crack cocaine, Ecstasy and other drugs, addictions so bad he once tried to commit suicide by shooting himself in the head — but the gun jammed. However, he claimed he had been drug-free for years, even swearing off cigarettes. 

In October, MTV was to debut his reality show, “Gone Too Far,” in which he and concerned families staged interventions for drug abusers. In a recent AP interview, he talked about holding a crack pipe for the first time in years for the show and said he felt as though he had an angel on his shoulder for surviving so much turmoil. 

“There’s no better way to remember what it was like when I was at my bottom than to see someone at their bottom,” he told the Associated Press. 

MTV did not have an immediate comment on whether Goldstein’s show would air, but said in a statement that it “was honored to support him as he helped young people battle their own addictions.”

Goldstein rose to fame several years ago as a highly sought-after deejay for hire who regularly performed at Las Vegas’ and Hollywood’s most exclusive nightclubs and parties and was admired by music aficionados for his deft mashups of rock and roll with hip-hop, who always kept the dance floor packed and clubgoers hypnotized. 

Goldstein was also part owner of the LAX nightclub at the Luxor in Las Vegas.

This Friday he was scheduled to perform at the Rain nightclub in the Palms Casino & Hotel in Las Vegas. 

He was famous for his relationships with reality TV star Nicole Richie, the daughter of singer Lionel Richie, actress-singer Mandy Moore, and friend Criss Angel.

As previously reported by Las Vegas Backstage Access, Goldstein was critically injured last September when a Learjet crashed on takeoff in Columbia, S.C. The plane was transporting among others Goldstein and Travis Barker, a drummer for the pop punk band Blink-182, after a performance; the pair had formed the duo TRVSDJ-AM. 

Barker and Goldstein were burned, though Barker was injured more severely. Goldstein had to get skin graft surgery, but about a month later he was performing again, joining Jay-Z on stage. 

“I can’t believe I made it,” Goldstein said. “I’ve prayed every night for the past 10 years. There’s a lot more to thank God for now. … I was saved for a reason. Maybe I’m going to help someone else. I don’t question it. All I know is I’m thankful to be here.” 

He is also one of the playable characters in Activision’s “DJ Hero,” a rhythm video game from the makers of “Guitar Hero” that uses a turntable-shaped controller. The game is set for release Oct. 27.

Singer John Mayer wrote: “We’re supposed to lose our friends to time, at an age when we’re ready to agree to the terms of having lived a long life. Not now.”

Media and onlookers flocked to his apartment, creating a frenzied scene; flowers had been placed outside the entrance.

With a career stretching over 30 years, and the last 24 of them spent at Radio 2, Ken Bruce has many stories to tell, which he does in his warm and entertaining autobiography.

After a few false starts, he broke into broadcasting via local Hospital radio and then Radio Scotland, where he spent several eventful years as both announcer and presenter.  Eventually in 1985 he left to join Radio 2 and was thrust into the flagship breakfast show, which had just been vacated by Terry Wogan.

This was something of a poisoned chalice though, and after a year and a half he was replaced by Derek Jameson and moved to the morning slot, where he remains to this day.

His natural humour transfers well to the printed page.  There are many anecdotes about the famous faces he has met and his fellow presenters, which are all recounted with his trademark wit.  His commitment to radio is clear, unlike some he doesn’t see it as a springboard to television, and is scathing of those who treat radio broadcasting as a stepping stone.

Here it comes:  a barrage of news!

1.  Indies:  Did not win, still thrilled with top ten finishes.  And seriously, go read all the winners!  Kudos to the organizers for such an awesome idea!

2.  TTLG:  Chapter 13 is outlined but stalled.  Forgive me.  I’m moving in 4 weeks, on vacation as of next Monday and working all week.  STRESSED.

3.  Deliratio:  Chapter 5 is live at FF.net.  The prologue is up at Twilighted.net with chapter 1 in queue.  I am not posting any more of this story on ff.net until Twilighted catches up a bit. My beta is super busy for TTLG so due to validation rules, alas this is taking time.  A lot of time.  Bear with me and my beta.

4.  Disc Jockeys:  I’m still planning a one-shot epilogue, the first of many I wager.

5.  New story:  Tattoos Like Mile Markers.  Entry for Tattward contest.  In answer to the many asking/many demanding it, I WILL be turning this into a multi-chapter story.  I have to plot exactly how, mind you, but I WILL.  You can read it at ff.net

6.  Who wants a teaser for a new one-shot? You?  Sure, why not?  Crackfic RPF, written for the lolz of a dear friend.  It’s not done yet, but I hope to remedy that in the next couple days.  Working title:  West Side of the Moon.

The taxi ride to the theatre was mostly uneventful, with Rob forcing a water bottle into Taylor’s hands and demanding he drink up. Kristen marveled at the ludicrousness of their splitting into two neat groups with ‘Emmett’ and ‘Rosalie’ in one cab and the love triangle in the other. Life imitates art imitates life. How fucking cliché. Taylor continued to babble on about wolves and shapeshifting, and how he was going to phase and take out David Slade and Summit. Kristen was at once concerned he was suffering alcohol poisoning and amused at his complete hate-on for Slade.

“He looks like he’s one of those snotty bastards who’s all ‘I went to NYU! I am an ar-TEEST! Bow before my balding ass, and respect my wondrous glory.’ I would love to see him work with Kanye West,” Taylor babbled, sloshing water onto his dress pants.

Rob chuckled, “He did do 30 Days Of Night. That makes him more qualified for the genre than Rosenberg.”

“Spidermonkey,” Kristen grumbled.

“It’s an animal. You can Google it,” Rob replied, tousling her hair.
