J makes the claim your Mind too will rejoin God’s Mind one day. Only a few people are probably at this level alive today. What we call enlightenment. If the Dali Lama doesn’t claim to be enlightened. Someone who has figured everything out the Devine will naturally tell you attributes of the Divine. J’s teachings points to the simplest of truths. He was often discouraged that his own apostles weren’t picking it up what he was putting down.

There are several accounts of him criticizing their faith and that they could also do things with their Mind. It’s hard to have faith in the 99% of reality we can’t see or hear it. It’s supposed to be hard that was the idea of this reality. If it were easy then we could not have this contrasting good days and bad days. You could not grow and expand as a being if you could not experience suffering.

It’s up to you to decide if you believe those outrageous claims. It’s the history of man it’s real history not like Santa Clause. J lived and died in this space time reality and there is a lot of historically evidence. That doesn’t prove he was Devine that you must decide for yourself. To some they are not so outrageous ideas. J said a man will be judged by his fruits so we can judge J’s teachings by the same accord. You will know the work of J’s spiritual influence by the people when it produces good fruit.

When you look at a bad piece of fruit it makes you feel a certain way. Good and bad fruit are pretty easy to discern from each other. The same is true for those who teach God’s message.

Do they heal you and make you better and reframe from judging you? Do they have a good heart and treat others well? Can see a light about them in the way others look at them? You have the tools to see people for what their level of consciousness is. Use your feelings and control your thinking.

The personality or a person’s body is the fruit of good and evil. The good fruit will be harvested the bad fruit will be burned with fire. The consciousness of the being part of the “Human Being” is God’s Son and is never discarded. You could also say God’s Daughter. Good creations will be cherished bad creations will be tossed and burned. Do not confuse your creation the avatar of yourself with whom you really are.

Be careful of person’s interpretation of the words of Jesus Christ. J gave facts and things to look for when evaluating what people say. People often take their negative qualities and attach them to what they believe in as God. Therefore brining God down to their level. If they are angry then they will tend to attach those qualities to God as well. Making the rest of us afraid of them and God.

You can surely trust in your own guidance system with a little practice. You don’t need a book! All truth is self evident when the Mind is clear. If you want to study the words of J for yourself but be careful what anyone says about your relationship with God. J said “call no man father or teacher”. Your higher self is all there is you cannot fail in seeking the truth. It is promised in every spiritual text to every person by God. Ask and it is given. J warned us “many will come in my name” he also said presented evidence that people aren’t going to figure it out all at once and few will find it. J didn’t die for us to feel guilty about it he died to show us this isn’t what seems earth and life on it. How did J know many would come in his name and to warn us to judge them by their fruit? He just knew.

Before I begin this article, I’d just like to clarify a certain things. In no way am I saying that I

Before I begin this article, I’d just like to clarify a certain things. In no way am I saying that I am qualified to be speaking about God. I am not a pastor, nor a priest nor even a hearty Christian; I am simply a student looking for answers, and I’m doing so the only way I know, by asking pertinent questions. If at this stage you find that my pact of sincerity dissolves the credibility of anything I will say further on, so be it; I am not here to force you to adhere to my ideas. I am merely putting my finger on questions that seem interesting to me and that may interest other people who happen to be asking themselves the same thing. This article isn’t an expert’s view on the subject, as I have said early on, but do not dismiss it so quickly. Although my reasoning is purely rational, that doesn’t mean that my methods diverge from those of religion. My philosophy teacher once told me that rationality and religion weren’t always compatible. But this obviously doesn’t exclude that they may be; in fact, they strive to unravel the most fundamental concept in our lives, to shed light on an obscure subject; they are here to help us find and understand the Truth.

Growing up, I have felt the cogs of my mind whirring and turning when confronted with a wide and diverse array of subjects. At age 6, I would be stumped if I had been told that the Easter bunny didn’t exist. Who hid the eggs if he/she didn’t? That was my dilemma. At age 12, it switched to more complex matters; why do people make fun of others just because they dress differently? (and by others, I mean me…) And now, I find myself asking even more abstract questions related to seemingly unfathomable concepts: why do people choose to adhere to ideas put forward by faiths? Now, in my humble opinion, that is an interesting question.

For a long time now I have been a sceptic. I recoiled when presented with a theological explanation for something that I didn’t fully understand. I considered religious oriented teachings as ludicrous. I was hostile to the idea of religious dogma, of unconditional and unquestionable faith in something with no rational explanation. Yes, I was, and still am, a rationalist. I believe in the never faltering power of science and reason. I believe in the Big Bang, I believe in the extinction of dinosaurs because of an extraterrestrial object, and I believe that man’s present decadence doesn’t come from lack of divine providence, but it has come about through his own sheer idiocy. So it seemed only natural for me to generalize my thoughts and consider that those who believe in God are completely crazy. My hostility turned to ironic criticism and when asked why people believed in the existence of an omnipotent being, I simply stated that it was by fear.

People believe in God because they have been told that if they didn’t, they would be sent to burn in the thousand-degree furnace that is hell. So they believe in God, and slowly but surely they are convinced by the concept. Why? Because they fear the lack of guidance. They are stimulated by the perils of our world, and therefore prefer to live in a state of blissful awareness that comforts them. Religion does indeed offer solace in the form of a protective bubble. Whether you place yourself within this bubble wilfully or not, it accomplishes the same role. It provides us with solutions to questions no one else can answer; reality therefore seems more bearable, life has a meaning, and whether or not all this is true, we don’t care, because at least the harsh truth cannot touch us.

Part of this bubble is incarnated by the religious community. If many people around you believe what you believe, you feel comforted and less alone. This is one of the reasons why religion is so successful; it is a reason for people to come together. When an entire community embraces the same ideas, this creates a sense of solidarity unlike any other, already rare in our modern world. But let us have a word on the environment in which this community finds itself, because people tend to criticize the idea of living in such a world.

As I have demonstrated through my personal opinion, scepticism regarding Religion isn’t at all uncommon. I have thoroughly atheist friends who find nothing more amusing than to deliberately stutter on the term ‘Christian’ therefore pronouncing it ‘cretin’. Hardi-har-har. But stand up comedy aside, are these insinuations really in order? Believers are accused of being blind and naïve. All things traditionally linked to God have been demystified by science, seemingly proving church-goers’ idiocy. The Big Bang happened, not the Creation. The miracle of birth is perfectly biological. God has nothing to do with all these things, and Christians who believe otherwise are just plain sods. Another common argument is that people turn to Religion because they don’t want to be responsible for anything they do. The fact that you believe in a transcendental being automatically means that you think that everything rests in His hands. You are therefore spared from any major decision-making and you perpetually live in a carefree state of mind. And all you have to do is occasionally talk to your bedroom ceiling before going to bed and attend a boring lecture every Sunday.

Regarding this matter, I have an open question: What is wrong with looking for safety? If in danger because of floods, Man will move to higher ground. If it is too cold, Man will move to warmer lands to keep his toes from falling off. Now. What if Man was perpetually in danger because of his fear of the unknown? He would be paralyzed to the point of not being able to live properly. What then? Why is it an issue if God is the one who provides the safety to remediate against this menace? Believing in God is a comfort, thus giving you safety and in no way does it remove your duties. Much to the contrary in fact. This gives you more responsibilities, making you take charge of your life, and feeling less vulnerable. In no way is Christianity absolution from obligations, this isn’t fatalism, it’s simply a question of safety for our spiritual selves. What’s wrong with that?

And staying on the same wavelength, what’s wrong with accepting religious explanations for material phenomena? Sure, science has nibbled its way into this field, to the point where rationalism becomes a dogma. But what about all those things that the oh-so-wise bearded scientists can’t explain? How Man came about through evolution is all fine and dandy, but why is Man here? Why are we all here? Can science and Philosophy answer this question? Why is it wrong to believe that Someone wanted us here and therefore placed us on this little green Earth? Because it defies logic? But does it defy logic to want to live in a community where unity and solidarity thrive? Is wanting to belong to a social congregation illogical? Is looking for safety in a hostile and dangerous world unreasoned? I believe no rationalist, no matter how convinced he is by science, or no matter how hostile he is towards Religion, can state that no, all this is perfectly rational.

The main issue at hand has nothing to do with Religion. Rationalists are simply opposed to the concept of dogma. Religion is dangerous because of that. Was it not Religion that sparked the blood bath that were the Crusades? Is it not Religion that is creating tumult in the Middle East? The rationalists are right to accuse Religion on those terms. But allow me to give my opinion on the subject. Were the Crusades explicitly asked for in the Bible? Is the extreme interpretation of the Koran adequate in our modern world? Is the waging of the Jihad really necessary? I am not preaching on behalf of the syncretism of faiths. Nor attacking these faiths. I am merely supplying my input regarding this matter, to accentuate the fact that the main failings of Religion were, and are, due to over exhaustive interpretation and to Man’s will to seek personal gain. The Crusades had an economic advantage; the war in Iraq had an economic advantage; and Religious bigotry is by definition a perversion of a teaching.

Religion in essence is neutral. It offers much yet asks nothing of you. Not even your adherence; The Western world isn’t exclusively composed of theocracies. Now whether or not you believe in salvation etc. you must accept the fact that certain people do. And it is their right to do so. A right that has been fought over for thousands of years, and that should be respected. You have a right to believe in whatever you like, even if you believe in nothing at all, and never do you see people looking to indoctrinate you against your will. No one is forcing you to face the ideas put forward by Religion, and you shouldn’t put forward what you think are Religion’s shortcomings. So to all those sceptics out there, don’t make cheap and snarky remarks about Religion. If you don’t believe in it, you will have nothing but an outside view. You are no expert in this field, so be civil and rational and decent, and respect other people’s beliefs as much as you would like them to respect yours. And on a more personal note: to my dear sceptical friends, who may or may not recognize themselves, stop being total twats.

Regardless of your religious rituals or position you hold on God, neurologists would claim you experience “spiritual” activity in the right side of your brain. We believe this is what the Buddha called “right mindedness”. What most people call a spiritual experience can be analyzed by machines. Neurologists can measure and capture pictures of the brain activity during spiritual experience using advanced brain imaging techniques (SPEC).

We must consider spirituality in the context of sex and how to overcome things that block great experiences we hope to have. This mainly consists of guilt planted deep in the Mind. Our sexuality is predominate in our primal Mind.

It’s quite normal to have under the cover guilt feelings for having sexual desire or any desire at all. In correcting these misconceptions we can finally experience improved relationships and sex. We can also attract more lovers and relationships or find someone we can spend our lives with.

This creates self confidence in the individual when true compassion for others and one’s self is understood deeper. That being said your entire sense of self should not be affected by outcomes of dating or social mingling. If you become too indentified with the mental concepts of acceptance or rejection you may put out a vibration that doesn’t attract what you really want.

Even if you are successful if you have a little inner game the moments can be fleeting and then new connections dissolve and fade.

You must know that you have the ability to create again when sexual situations don’t work out the way you hope.

You should use your judgment and the God given Reason in your Mind to see what makes sense for you and your situation. Since Christianity has one of the most judgmental views on Sexuality this document is written is a Christian tone. However the material is made up completely of the teaching of great wise men including Jesus who we will refer to as “J”.

Gary Rernald revealed his book the “disappearance of the universe” established this idea of calling Jesus “J”. As it turns out Jesus was not actually his name anyways. This allows a way to talk about Jesus without triggering past feelings about religion. The hope here is to correct some false fears about sex that some religious interpretations have created. Only then can we can have an honest conversation about relationships and sex.

God is not insane and he didn’t make you crazy. As it were people project themselves on to what they think God is like. We forget that God does not live in realm of good and evil like human beings. Rather God lives in pure joy and light and there is no fear.

The Roman Catholic Church has expressed concerns over the growing popularity of the Twilight movies – Vatican officials have called the vampire franchise a “moral vacuum with a deviant message.”
The second film in the series, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, hit cinemas this week and the movie’s stars, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, have been travelling the world to promote the release.

But the worldwide hype, along with masses of hysterical teenage fans, has drawn criticism from the Vatican, with officials urging parents to be more vigilant about the type of films their children are watching.

All of us have been on earth many, many lifetimes so that we can learn and grow and move forward in

All of us have been on earth many, many lifetimes so that we can learn and grow and move forward in our progression as a spirit in a body. Some of us have been on the planet many thousands of lifetimes. Others of us are younger but still have many hundreds of visits to the planet.

The number of our lifetimes depends on how often we choose to come back. It all depends on what we want to learn as a soul. Some of us are very specific on what we want to learn and choose specific times on earth to be part of. Then there others who come back to learn on a human relationship level and do so for many lifetimes. Or whatever it is for that soul.

Some of us come back quite regularly and have racked up a hundred thousand lifetimes or more. Then others come back every now and then every thousand or so lifetimes.

As souls we are all different ages also. Some of us have been here a very long time. Others are younger. So at any given time on the planet there are many different ages of souls all learning and growing at the same time.

Based on our soul ages we all progress through different levels of learning and experiences from Infant Souls to Old Souls.

There are five soul ages that we progress through during our cycle on the physical plane. Infant souls deal with issues of survival; Baby souls have a need for structure and tend to live according to beliefs based on dogma, such as religion. Young souls are success oriented and set high standards of personal achievement. Mature souls are relationship fixated and tend to gravitate towards emotional drama, and Old souls try to seek the larger perspective of life, and have less interest in playing the material game.

INFANT SOULS

Infant souls are like infants and children. The Infant soul Age is to the soulis comparable to the first decade of a life for a person. Even as children are learning to walk and talk, so Infant souls are learning the basics of getting around in the world.

BABY SOULS

Baby souls are a lot like teenagers. Teens are in that awkward stage between childhood and adulthood. Like people in the second decade of life, Baby souls are going through a lot of changes in the growing-up process.

YOUNG SOUL AGE

After the juvenile years of adolescence comes the time of young adulthood. The Young soul is a young person that is like an adult before middle age. The perceptions and activities of the Young soul are similar in description to a person in the third and fourth decades of a life span.

MATURE SOUL

After the years of youth and early adulthood comes the time of middle age. Mature souls are like an adult in middle age. They are at the peak of their lives: beyond the folly of youth, yet before the decay of old age. Like people in the fifth and sixth decades of life, much of their experience is behind them.

OLD SOUL

At the end of a full life comes the time of old age. An Old soul is like an old person. Usually old people have traveled to many places and done many things. They are a storehouse of wisdom and understanding because of this range of experience.

Each soul group has 7 levels within each group that they progress through before they move on into the next age group. And each of the 7 levels is a distinct maturing of this particular soul.

The Movie Overdose attempts to contain the apocalypse with a review of Roland Emmerich’s 2012. We chat about how we would change Eddie Murphy for the better, what kind of sequel we want for Star Trek and whether we are glad to see Sean Connery coming back, if only in voice form. Tom slightly dampens the praise given to An Education and Sam revels in the madness of Running Scared and the flawed ambition of Dogma. The conclusion involves a discussion of actors that, no matter what, we always look forward to seeing on screen.

the 2nd article i wrote for Popin.my as their PopMuda.

After teh tarik, maybe we can go grab a movie? One of these 7 saucy films?
1. Berbagi Suami by Nia Dinata
I could never relate to the slow poetic expression that is common with Malaysian alternative cinema, (Malaysian mainstream cinema is hardly ever worth watching at all except those by Bernard Chauly) because my family and life experience just isn’t like that. The women in my family are loud, witty and smart, very much like women in Nia’s films. In Berbagi Suami, Nia tells 3 tales of polygamous marriage. I love the funny irony of the first story; I love the 2 women who took charge of their fate and eloped together in the 2nd story; I love the frankness of the 3rd story that shows what a fool human can be. Nia’s story telling grabs you by the eyeballs and make sure you laugh and cry with the protagonist all the way through.

2. Gubra by Yasmin Ahmad
Gubra has to be my favourite Yasmin’s film by far. On one hand We have Orkid who is witty and loud (yay!) yet somehow still manage to get married to an abusive husband, bump into her ex-lover’s brother, who uttered the line ‘Loving Malaysia is like having relationship with someone who don’t love you back.’ That completely resonates with me and possibly most Malaysian too, as our leadership in this country only loves themselves really. On the other hand, we have the ulamak that walks on screen and pat the dog. He and his wife proceed to take care of the sex workers neighbors with such love and compassion that sends off-screen ulamaks berserk. Drama off and on screen! Truly demonstrate the power of films and Yasmin is definitely one Malaysian that isn’t afraid to wield that magic and she does it so well. She passed away…We miss you already.

3. Ciplak – Khai M Bahar
Another Malaysian filmmaker who isn’t afraid to be saucy and witty and loud on film is Khairil M Bahar. With Ciplak, Khai (wrote, directed and acted himself) ran and skateboard all over KL, seduced by a woman, attempted seduction by a man, bashed up, escaped all in the name of a quick cash scheme of selling ciplak (pirated) dvds. How Malaysian! J I even learnt a thing or 2 about what goes behind in supplying my dosages of uncensored foreign films.

4. City of God by Fernando Meirelles and Kátia Lund
Sweat, blood, action, sex but what was most gripping was the story- young kids struggling to carve a space just to grow up in the urban poor slums of Rio de Janeiro. Gang war strives and feeds off the poor, like the chicken running for its life in the opening scene, children growing up in the slum has better grow up fast, or else they will just be dead meat. It gets really dire watching the marginalized, the poor being portrayed as victims and powerless or very exotic like they are in some aquariums; Fernando and Katia definitely lend a different sort of voice to these very important stories, one that is also about passion in times of hunger, about living even when dying seem like a better way out. After all the adrenaline pumped, you leave the cinema thinking, should any child grow up like that?

5. Iron Jawed Angels- by Katja Von Garnier
One of the early generations of very loud and proud women must be the suffragist movement in America. The women that rock the white house white male leadership to bring about equal right to vote! Starring rock stars of the movie screen-Hilary Swank, woah, as Alice Paul, founder of National Women’s Party together with Lucy Burns. Soundtracked with rock and roll music, the film makes me stand up and put my hands up in the air and say YEAH YOU GO GIRLS! And thank you, to all the women and people who have fought and are fighting still so that I may be free.

6. Dogma by Kevin Smith
Alanis Morissette is God weh!! If that was a spoiler for you that means you haven’t watched the film that means you should be shot dead, but I don’t believe in capital punishment so you will just be strapped to the chair and be made to watch Dogma on repeats, which isn’t really a bad thing. It is such an insolent film, I love it! The idea that there is a loophole in God’s theory and if the 2 fallen angels can find a way through this loophole, they can get back to heaven but one thing, it will undo the entire creation. It’s a rollercoaster ride of wit, after 5 times of watching, I will still laugh off my knickers and come out thinking ‘oh yeah, the idea of a God is indeed ludicrous!’ (Voltaire would so enjoy this movie.) Did I mention its an all star casts- Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Salma Hayek and more!

7. Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love by Mira Nair
This would be a lovely film to end the night, a little tragic but still the shots, the people and the stories are so beautiful, it is erotica at its best! Set in 16th century India, the movie depicts the story of two girls, Maya and Tara, who were raised together even though they come from different social classes. Tara was to marry a king; Maya became his courtesan, then banished, and found her love in a stone sculptor (ah, everyone always love the artist). So saucy and sensual, guarantee to set you in the mood for love. J

That’s it, go have some (sauce) already, why are you still reading this!!

There is something that many Christians really do not understand. Atheists do not reject Christianit

There is something that many Christians really do not understand. Atheists do not reject Christianity or the existence of God because they have not heard all the arguments offered by apologetics or because they have not heard the proper apologetics yet.

We have heard just about every argument for God’s existence, Jesus’ divinity, the bible’s legitimacy and so on. These arguments do not work. Every single one has failed. Not one of these arguments can bridge the gap between the natural and the supernatural.

What occurs in most Christian apologetics is a presumption of the legitimacy of the bible. So, it fails from the start. Before you can prove that the bible is the word of God you cannot use it as any evidence. The result is a juggling of dogma. Throwing bible verses around does not amount to anything. It is merely circular reasoning.

One of the most troubling things is the claim that the miraculous events in the bible are historically based. This claim reveals a large misunderstanding of how history works. History can only show what is most probable. Therefore, miracles which are the most improbable events can never be used as explanations in history.

All the arguments for God also fail. The teleological, cosmological, ontological, and transcendental arguments, the argument from morality and so on fail miserably. To say that they prove anything is to pervert philosophy. There is also rampant misuse of philosophical principles such as Occam’s razor in apologetics.

Most atheists are open-minded people. It is not that we have not heard all the arguments or haven’t heard the right ones. The reason why I and many others remain unconvinced is because Christian apologetics is an epic failure. The evidence is not on your side and no amount of special pleading will change that.

Let’s check the 2nd commandment
“You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I The Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate Me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love Me and keep My Commandments.

As you can see gawd is one very jealous dude… perhaps catholic priests/pope don’t marry and have children because gawd will fuck them over because of all the idol worship of the fathers, it’s the healing bones from dead saints.. it’s rotten corpses of dead saints, statues.. you name it
Splinter from the cross of Jebu$ my ass.. for starters, carbon date the thing… it’s more likely to be some splinter that got stuck in the pope’s ass.
Ohh and yes, the cross is a idol also, guess you are fucked, and your children, and their children and so on and so forth.

————–8<——————–
Stoughton – A piece of wood said to be from the cross used to crucify Jesus will be carried this weekend in a Stoughton procession to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima.

Although this will be the first time in the Stoughton church’s history that a religious relic is carried in such an event, public veneration of relics is a long-standing tradition in Portugal and other European countries.

While visiting his native country last year, Stoughton resident Nelson Garcia was reminded of this tradition that he participated in as a child growing up in Portugal.

Knowing the history and cultural value of the tradition, Garcia, 39, wanted to bring it to his church, Immaculate Conception Parish in Stoughton.

“I wanted to show our generation what has been done for many, many years in Portugal,” Garcia said.

A member of the board of directors for the Portuguese Association of Boston, Garcia contacted another member to seek out a relic. The member, Jason Brilhante, sent a request to St. Michael’s parish in Fall River, which agreed and sent the relic to Stoughton.

The relic is unique and highly valued because, according to Catholic beliefs, it is from the cross on which Jesus died Good Friday, said Father Edward Correia, pastor of St. Michael’s Parish.

I would wager that most of you folks out there in cyberland did not know that a UFO did a fly over during the presidential inauguration. Yes it is true and a major news broadcaster caught it all on tape while their commentators were chatting. Caught on tape then published on the Internet, this video clearly showed a vehicle that was not from Earth zip past the screen. There were many witnesses to this event but there was no mainstream news report on this event.

Almost as quickly as this video hit the Internet is was quietly removed from the public domain. Fortunately I managed to save a snapshot of the video on a hunch it would disappear like so many other incriminating news stories do, if you did not notice. That means we already are living in a revised form of censorship but that’s another story.

Personally, I’ve had my share of encounters and sightings and know of many other professional people who’ve seen the same things I did. From airline and fighter pilots to first responders and emergency personnel as well as regular folks like you and I, there are witnesses to the reality we have many visitors from other worlds. I don’t get all ga ga over it since this has always been common knowledge within traditional people from around the world. My personal encounters range from way cool to pissing me off since not all space dudes are cool. But for all intents and purposes I give them as much salt as I would their human counterparts.

Why don’t I have fear of these space travelers? Well it is really quite simple actually. It’s been a norm for me to deal with spirits and the gambit of so called paranormal events since I was a poop butt kid. They are all relevant to one another and my people have placed this stuff in its proper perspective. Frankly I did not really care for this skill or craft growing up since it was more of a burden and a royal pain in the butt. My question is why the rest of you carbon based life forms still go gag over space dudes and spirits? This will undoubtedly be your Achilles Tendon. Your Bibles and ancient works have addressed the paranormal adnauseum including how to deal with rouge spirits. If you spent the time studying your respective dogmas you’d discover that space dudes are in the same heap as man. The fact society is being artificially kept away from the knowledge of alien folks is all to clear for select group of people want this to be their secret or ultimate weapon. They are hording the secrets of the universe for the dumbest reason of all, power and material wealth. Sadly for them this is about to explode in their faces because I do not think they are hanging out with the good guys.

It’s really quite funny when you think about it though. The elite class is privy to these realities as well as traditional people. But the vast majority of the people in the middle are completely clueless about it all. Fact is most of the people relegate spirits and space dudes to “science fiction and horror flicks”. There is no question the US and other governments are playing ball with space dudes and they will most likely bank on fear and ignorance to promote their agendas while staging some kind of event with their alien friends. I will be unimpressed since I have a few secrets of my own and others who’ve experienced the truly benevolent beings from other world know exactly what I am talking about. If I’m wrong I’ll be zapped into a pile of ashes but I will not be intimidated by the bad dudes. Besides who wants to live on a colonized slave labor planet anyway? So if they whacked me it would be a blessing in disguise and I would continue my journey. With absolute faith within my dogma I will maintain my position in the face of all adversity and the bad dudes can all jump in a black hole or something.

The notion any of these space dudes are benevolent in any way is preposterous at the very least. If these space dudes were as cool and benevolent as the spin doctors will say then why are they giving technology to these corrupt politicians? Why are they allowing their Earth bound pals to continue to rape and murder Indigenous cultures from around the world and rip of their natural resources? In any event I am not impressed with these space dudes and their fancy space junk since they obviously are not the cool and benevolent ones mankind are hoping for. They are just as punk as the creeps who are trying to globalize the planet.

One thing is for sure, they do not hold the holy grail of the universe as they say and surely they are not the only visitors on this planet for there are others. I’ve seen them as well as other credible professional people. People who have encountered them agree they are here for the changes and to counter the foolishness of the other space dudes who walk in darkness. You don’t have to take my word on this and I really don’t care in all actuality. But from within my tradition it was once said that the Creator would allow for all of mankind to know the truth. That does not mean people would instantly believe my words, it only means that people would at the very least hear the truth. What they do with this truth is all up to them since mankind was also given the gift of free will. Take it for what its worth or toss it in the dumpster of political correctness because I could give a flying crappola what you do with it. I’m just keeping a promise.

That line is the chorus to an old King’s X song, aptly named Don’t Care. Not exactly poetic or original, but that’s not the point. I bring it up because, the other day when I was obsessing over the possibility of losing my blog, that song popped into my head. Since then I’ve gotten about 95% of the content back, except for the second and third part of the Evidence and Experience series I was writing; but I’m not sure I care at the moment.

Allow me to ramble for a bit…

I mean, first of all I don’t think we’ve come across exactly right. We never set out to prove or disprove any religion, only to critique moral and ethical stances in society. And let’s be honest, there are plenty of blogs and websites out there dedicated to proving religion is good or bad. That’s a much broader discussion and I’ve been on both sides of the debate enough to know that you’re not going to convince anyone of anything, especially not by arguing on the internet.

But what, then, did I really set out to do in this project? I suppose a lot of it comes down to the fact that years ago I’d started reading my bible for myself and kept coming across things that didn’t jive with how I saw the world, not to mention with science. I had spent my life saying religion and the bible made me who I am, but did I really know what I was saying?

I’m fairly confident now that most people who draw morality and ethics from the bible haven’t read it cover to cover, or if they have, they’ just assumed no matter how awful or strange a narrative is, it must be okay because it’s in the bible. That’s just awful reasoning from a logic standpoint, like it or not.

But if I was offended by those things, then what is it that actually informs my idea of ethics? Where had my idea of morality come from? I was living as a Christian, but only in the cultural sense, and my Christianity, like so many people today in the developed world, has very little to do with the bible.

I decided it was Reason that undergirds our ability to decide to stop stoning rebellious children, or to end slavery, or to give women rights. It’s reason that tells me that ripping open the bellies of pregnant women is always wrong, and no scripture that contains this behavior is defensible. And it’s this very sense of reason and rationality that makes modern Christianity in the developed world look so different than Islam in the Middle East. Our traditions are not all that different, and the bible and the koran really aren’t any more or less ethical in their doctrines and ideals. The difference is that Islam is a few hundred years behind Christianity in learning to ignore the ‘bad’ ideas and emphasize the ‘good’ ones.

So that’s where I am today. Reason is what allows us, as a society, to move past ideas that would otherwise still require constant bloodshed and breed unfounded supernatural fears.

A Way Forward…

As far as continuing down this rabbit hole and cleaning the slate, as it were, I fully intend to keep up once in a while, post an opinion article here or there. But I also think that the constant harassment from religious folk that this project has brought just isn’t worth it. I have my family to think of, after all.

If it were just me who became a target, I could probably justify keeping this up with the intensity I have thus far. But for some reason I’ve attracted a disproportionately large number of weirdos given the minimal exposure this blog has enjoyed (less than 100 hits per day on average), and a handful of them have been rather tenacious. And frankly, I just don’t want to keep that kind of company. Finding one smart religious devotee who thinks on their own within a crowd of sheep (oh how the term fits) is simply far too tedious to bother anymore anyway. I have better things to do with my time.

And don’t think the irony escapes me. Consider this: Someone literally tried to clean my slate, as it were, and delete this blog because it threatens what they dogmatically believe, and that is actually what is prompting me to realize that this just isn’t my fight anymore.

So I’d like to close by saying thank you to all the angry, unthinking, deluded religionists out there who have helped me realize that I just don’t care like I used to.

Comon folks, we all know this is pure fiction, at least those of us who are not insane.. ok some of you are simply programmed into believing this stuff, snap out of it.

————-8<————
The classic superheroes have a massive competitor sitting next to them on the store shelves — and His presence isn’t without controversy.
“The Book of Genesis,” a graphic novel illustrated by R. Crumb, rolled off the presses in October. The visual adaptation of The Bible’s first 50 chapters has garnered so much attention that there’s a one- to three-month waiting period on Amazon.com, and some copies are selling online for as much as $300.

Fond du Lac’s religious community is more tentative about the book, and not because of the long wait or sticker price. Local Christians say the Bible, in any form, deserves respect, and fear that a comic format — depending on the artist’s motives — may belittle God, mock Scripture or promote the sexuality and violence often seen in graphic novels.

The full-frontal nudity in R. Crumb’s “Book of Genesis” shocked Kathy Heinzelman, a mother and children’s ministry teacher at Community Church, N6717 Streblow Drive. She said she wouldn’t expose her youngsters to graphic material. Eve’s cleavage and measurements also concern her.

On the violence side, Marian University student Katie Pynenberg said she wouldn’t mind as long as the presentation remained true to the biblical message.

“Comics are associated with violence and, let’s be honest, some Bible stories are pretty violent as well, but it all lies in the way the story is presented and the meaning behind the actions,” she said.
Depicting God

Of greater concern is the artistic rendering of God. R. Crumb drew God as a stern, wizened man with flowing white hair and a bright robe. He means business, focusing intense eyes on His creation and doling out commands to all creatures.

Depicting God in this form is “dangerous,” said Jennifer C.M. Dawson, co-pastor at Church of Peace, 158 S. Military Road. She said showing God as a human, who has numerous flaws, diminishes His presence as the ultimate power.

In the Bible, God is less tangible; He’s described as breath, spirit or a voice.

More
————>8————–

This week, the final phase of the atheist bus campaign will appear in London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast – not on buses, but on billboards. Due to the amazing sums donated to the campaign fund by many Cif readers at the end of last year, we raised enough for a second wave of adverts – and the above posters will launch today.

When, in this Cif piece back in October 2008, we asked how the extra funds should be spent, one of the issues which came up repeatedly in the comments concerned the growth of of faith schools in the UK and the segregation of children according to their parents’ beliefs. Many of you felt strongly that children should be given the freedom to decide which belief system they wanted to belong to, if any, and that they should not have a religion decided for them. Commenter Finite187 wrote, “A campaign against faith schools would be good as a next step,” ciderpower said “You could address faith schools – religions want schools for the few, not for all” and 555555 asked, “How is this distortion of school education happening in this country?”
Bonus… change the lyrics a little .. like
We don’t need no religion We don’t need no thought control. No superstition in the classroom preachers leave them kids alone Hey! preacher! Leave them kids alone!

Robin and her husband from Cartersville, Georgia used to be Sunday school teachers until about two years ago, when they left their church and never went back. She came to the conclusion thet religion was harmful and that everyone would be better off without it, but doesn’t know exactly what to tell her young children that were brought op in the church. Robin watched the documentary “Jesus Camp” both before and after her de-conversion.

Personally I tell my kids the truth, this is your only life, don’t waste it.
