Image : http://www.flickr.com

Just make the most indifferent observers in anger. Unless like many of us the target of their anger is generally irrelevant.

We see a woman who is a victim of domestic violence and are upset that she let herself be abused.

Of course, saying that she left is not quite correct, but at this stage, many of us do not care. She herself has put into this and refuses to leave. Very soon, this cold response gives way to outright blame. Perhapstrying to convince himself that it has obtained to come.

Or something like that. After all, she never reported her spouse or boyfriend to the police. This has always been left to third. And when the cops arrived, what has she done? Tell them that nothing happens or itself take the blame. For Crying Out Guy aloud to put about her in the hospital and she protects him as he is the embodiment of innocence.

At this point you may proceed to the next step and try to convince youshe had her account.

This is obviously a ridiculous sentiment. She signed to love and build a strong positive relationship not to be physically assaulted. But the thought follows a certain pattern in our society. When in doubt blame the victim.

The National Institute of Justice budget which close to eighty five per cent of all victims of domestic violence are women. This confirms what many of us already knew, but the Georgia Department of Human Resources providesfurther demonstrated by the calculation that every nine seconds, somewhere in the United States a woman is a victim of domestic violence.

Why does not she just leave or when the police arrived the guys were thrown in jail?

The second question, many victims of domestic violence believe rightly or wrongly, that law enforcement is powerless to do anything in these types of situations. A number of countries are beginning to take seriously domestic violenceand tough with offenders.

But this was not always the case in parts of the country he left. Relatively few women are eyewitnesses to what happened to them and other victims when the police were called. Nothing. It is best to handle the situation themselves rather than call the police and exacerbate the problem.

As to why she did not leave? Try the fear and threat of something worse than physical assault. When you leave an abusive relationship forthreat of violence may decrease with time but for the immediate near future, many victims are most at risk.

There is something that those of us outside looking in refusing to consider. And what are the untold psychological damage that was caused to the victim of domestic violence. When she did wind up leaving this situation, many tales of love, support and protection for her to rebuild her life with abuse, shesuffered.

But for many of us anything that would require a willingness to explore the past preconceived ideas we have put in place. For society in general there are winners and losers. And do not let a losing situation, the victim is more than likely a loser.

Except they are not. These people are trapped in an abusive relationship they never asked. The fact that domestic violence has been an epidemic of time means that as a society, we all lose.

In Washington, there is no crime of domestic violence. Instead, domestic violence is a tag that is p

In Washington, there is no crime of domestic violence. Instead, domestic violence is a tag that is placed in other crimes which indicates that there is a kinship and family among stakeholders. Most jurisdictions impose order n. Contact prohibiting the defendant in a domestic violence ( "DV") case from having contact with the alleged victim of the offense. The order often prohibit contact with children of the victim, residence and workplace as well.

Family or domestic relationship

According to RCW 10.99.020 (3), family or household member is defined as:

[S] lice, former spouses, persons who have a child in common regardless of whether they were married or lived together at any time, adult persons related by blood or marriage, adults who are currently living together or have resided together in the past, years of persons sixteen years or older who arecurrently living together or have resided together in the past and who have or have had an affair, years persons sixteen years or older with whom a person sixteen years or older has or has had a romantic relationship, and people who have a biological or legal parent-child relationship, including stepparents and stepchildren and grandparents and grandchildren.

As you can see, this definition is extremely broad. It is much more inclusive so that more peoplewait for it either. The same applies to the types of crimes that are classified as "domestic violence." Many people think of assault in domestic violence cases, but there are so many offenses that can carry the tag DV.

Mandatory arrest

According to RCW 10.31.100 (2) (c), the agent must make an arrest if the person is sixteen years or more and four hours earlier, had assaulted a family or household member inRCW 10.99.020 and the officer believes that:

(i) A felonious assault has occurred;

(ii) there was an assault causing bodily harm to the victim if the injury is observable by the controller to respond or not, or

(iii) that any physical action took place which was intended to cause another person reasonably to fear imminent serious bodily injury or death. Injury means physical pain, illness or a deteriorating physical condition. When the officerprobable cause to believe that the family or household members have assaulted another officer is not obliged to stop two people. The officer must arrest the person that the officer believes to be the primary physical aggressor. In taking this decision, the officer must make every reasonable effort to consider:

(i) intended to protect victims of domestic violence in RCW 10.99.010;

(ii) the comparative extent of injuries inflicted or serious threatscreating fear of physical injury and

(iii) a history of violence between the persons involved.

If you are arrested for a crime involving domestic violence, order no contact in position to hit almost immediately.

No Contact Order

There are two types of n. Contact Orders in Washington State: Pre-Trial and after conviction. Both types of decisions to prevent the defendant from having contact with the alleged victim. However, nor in preventing the victim to try to have contact with the accused, since only the defendant goes to jail if the order is not respected. In other words, no limit orders only contact behavior of the defendant.

Pre-Trial

Pre-trial orders are issued against the defendant (sometimes called resistance) before he or she is convinced he did nothing wrong. These orders can prevent contact between the accused and the victim's alleged crime, the victimchildren (even if the respondent is too young), place of residence of the victim and the work of the victim (even if the respondent is at home too).

In other words, these orders can not force you away from your house and your children even before they have been convicted of a crime. This is true even if the victim said that nothing happened and everything that happened was all blown out of proportion.

Preliminary orders remain in place until there is a resolution of the criminal caseor until a judge lifts.

Post-Conviction

An Ordinance No contact was released after the conviction could bring the same type of restrictions that pre-trial order does. Post-conviction orders are usually good for one year, but a judge in May to extend this if he or she considers that the facts warrant.

Civil standby

Since a No Contact Order can go home, courts generally allow a home to travel to get some clothes and personalobjects. However, you must be accompanied by a police officer. This process is called "civil standby." You should contact the agency law enforcement and arrange a time to wait for the calendar year. Be aware, however, it is an intervention in a low priority for authorities above the law, so that the civil standby only be done when they have time to lose.

No violation of a contact order

An intentional violation of a No Contact Order is a serious offense, whichmeans you can earn up to one year in prison and fined $ 5,000. Contravene a domestic violence n. To contact the label is itself a crime of domestic violence, rights of ownership or possession of firearms will be held on the conviction – but no weapons were used, possessed, cited or otherwise used or planned . This is true even when the criminal case underlying causing the No contact order must be vacated and dismissed.

Being in a public place, eventhe courthouse is not a defense to violating the order. This means that if an order is issued against you and you see the protected person in a store, then you must leave. Contact accidental May not technically violate the order, but you can also go before a judge to defend himself. Besides the stress, you may need to spend more to hire a lawyer.

Even if the victim requests contact, the defendant can face jail if the order isviolated. What I see most often in my case, is the following scenario:

Two people have a relationship. Something happens and the police are called. Due to the sensitivity of all for "domestic violence" err on the side of the burden of policing someone. A No Contact Order then slap up, cut two people from having any contact with another. You can do one of them suddenly homeless – but that's another matter. People, people, youto work the problem and contact the alleged victim, the accused and said something to the effect "I am sorry that all this happens. go home and I'll help." The problem, of course, is that the defendant took the alleged victim on offer. Generally, legal problems are multiplying for the defendant, shortly after, as the happy couple will celebrate their rekindled relationship only to take a "slow and go" at a stop sign – or someother minor violations of traffic. They were then arrested by police. When the agent goes to the occupants until skips n order to contact, and the accused was arrested and taken to jail where he is now facing an additional cost.

Delete order

It is very difficult to remove a preliminary no contact order, once he is right. Even if the victim comes and testifies in court that the order is not required, most judges will ordertowards.

One strategy is to have the defendant evaluated by a Domestic Violence Treatment Agency. If an advisor is ready to tell the court that the defendant was not a danger to the victim if the order is withdrawn, the court may delete command. Agency treatment may be useful to have the defendant in the class before agreeing to make a recommendation to the judge.

Another strategy is to ask the court to amend Ordinance No. C0ontact to allow marriagecounseling. Some courts require that the contact is allowed while a third followed by treatment agency.

Once No Contact Order has been amended to allow contact with relief, the court is more likely that the order to remove later, unless there is a new problem.

Victims' Rights

Most offices of prosecutors' will counsel against domestic violence. Task E "of that person to help the victim of a crime of domestic violence to understandWhat services are available to them and keeps you informed as it moves along the justice process.

I have seen many cases where the victim does not want the No contact order to be effective. Turning to the injured person's lawyer can sometimes be useful.

Most courts have a form you can fill the request of the victim alleged that the decline of the National Journal Order contact information. In my experience, most judges to maintain order, even after the victim asked to drop it. Sameif the order remains in force, claiming that the victim is removed is still valid, as it may be useful in a subsequent attempt to cancel the order.

Gun Rights

Conviction for an offense of domestic violence label you will lose the right to ownership or possession of firearms. This is a permanent ban.

Example

In one case I had, the husband was arrested on a charge of domestic violence when, during a fight, threwa bowl in their kitchen sink, to break. The case was heard by a close neighbor who called police. The police arrived and when she looked in the sink, they found the chipped bowl and arrested her husband for the ill, domestic violence malicious. There was no allegation that her husband threw a bowl at, or near, his wife. Since Washington is a property of the State of the Community, the husband and wife had a property right in the bowl, then from his chippingbowl, the husband has damaged property belonging to another (his wife) and is therefore liable under malicious. Without counsel, the husband (who had no criminal record), pleaded guilty to contestation. Had one years n. To contact, which prevented him from going home for a year or having any contact with his wife.

The husband had contacted a lawyer before pleading guilty, he would not have a conviction at all. Even if there was a conviction, a lawyerwould have avoided a long no contact order.

Subject: [SaveIndianFamily] Public RTI to NCPCR (National Commission for Protection of Child Rights) for child visitation/custody cases

for all those with custody cases… download and File this RTI by putting
your own name and address, get response from NCPCR, and file the response as
argument in family court for child custody/ visitation cases.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2371641/RTIs%20Public/NCPCR_RTI_TemplateNov09.doc
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2371641/RTIs%20Public/NCPCR_RTI_TemplateNov09.doc

Use this process of argument/ evidence:

1. That NCPCR has not done any study related to effect of single parent
custody on children, PAS, child development, child psychology etc.

2. Then proceed to argue that since no such study is available in India,
that studies done outside India be considered as expert opinion and
evidence. Show studies done in US or other countries about ill-effect of
single parent custody, and benefits of joint parenting. Court cannot refuse
to look at such studies in that case.

3. If they do not still look at it favourably, then say that this is against
UN child rights convention, which clearly says that child should have access
to both parents whether divorced etc. NCPCR has the mandate to follow
United nations CRC

4. Screw NCPCR again if the court does not pass favourable order.

NCPCR has budget of 6 cr I think… let’s help them utilize it for something
useful for children’s cause.

A Portland, Oregon police officer was recently suspended after shooting a 12 year old girl at point

A Portland, Oregon police officer was recently suspended after shooting a 12 year old girl at point blank range with a bean bag gun. Police Chief Rosie Sizer said she was troubled by the incident, which was caught on tape. To her credit, she decided to take reasonable steps to ensure that such incidents do not happen in the future:

It is through this lens that I viewed the video and decided to initiate an investigation into the entire use of force during the arrest on the 148th Avenue platform under the totality of the circumstances.

Nothing she’s said has been an indictment of the Officer involved, even though the video of the incident is pretty damning:

Yet, in spite of the tempered response from the police chief and the video evidence, hundreds of officers marched in support of the Officer. This knee-jerk response is what threatens any pretense of ethical law enforcement in the United States. If the police can not be help accountable they will be corrupted.

Welcome to the Pursuit of Liberty. There are countless millions of blogs on the web these days, so many that virtually every niche has its own over abundance of thought expressed in endless supply online. So what’s so special about this one? Why should you bookmark us and check us out every day? Well, let me explain the purposes of this blog and I believe you will see we’re unique.

To keep you up to date on the latest happenings in the news, relevant to people like you and me who care about our Republic and our rights.

To bring you thought provoking analysis and start debate.

To educate you about your rights and draw a line in the sand against government interference in your daily life.

So, what do I believe?

Government governs best which governs most locally. I believe in states’ rights because it’s a concept inserted into our constitution by very smart men who believed laws should reflect the people they affect. That is to say, what’s best for the people of Washington state may not be what works best for the people of Virginia. And you know what? That’s ok. I may be deeply pro-life but that’s an issue I will argue for my state and my community, not the Federal government. In fact, the 10th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States specifically states that:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Which is amazing considering the constitution grants very few and clearly enumerated powers to the federal government. As it stands too much of our power has been usurped by the feds and that power needs to be returned to the people, to you.

The Republic cannot function without ethical and limited law enforcement. You might think I will speak in opposition to the left wing in America and, generally, you’d be right. To my left I see a power-hungry mob which seeks to establish its own nanny state. But I also take issue with many on the right, because I see many of them attempting to violate the same constitution for different reasons. Over bearing government is wrong regardless of the justification behind it. We should not surrender our liberty for peace and safety, whether that peace and safety is from hunger and illness or from terrorism and war. In short, I see a nanny state to my left and a police state to my right – I just want to be left alone in a free state! That also means pointing out law enforcement abuse when it happens. I am a huge supporter of police because, hey, I rather enjoy going to work each day without being robbed, beaten and killed. Don’t you? I am not some pretentious, spoiled college kid who won’t pull his head out of his bong long enough to see that cops are, by and large, the good guys. They do a tough job, not just in the sense that it’s dangerous. I’ve worked with the public for many years from retail to customer service to business ownership. If a customer will scream at me over some groceries I can only imagine what abuse the police often endure. However, when I see cops acting unethically – and the union and chiefs defending the indefensible, I will shine the light of liberty on fascism and corruption for the sake of the republic.

A pro-liberty agenda cannot survive with a giant letter “L” stamped on its forehead. Now that you have some idea what I believe, at least in as far as the nature of government is concerned, you might think I’m going to endorse a third-party. Surely, I must be as upset and disappointed with the Republican party as I am with the Democratic party. Well, I am upset with the Republican party – but not with the leadership. I’m angry that people like you and me haven’t gotten more involved, more interested, in saving our rights and our Republic. But in order to be relevant we must WIN, at least every once in a while. Third parties are great – if you enjoy losing election after election and wasting countless millions of dollars. Instead, let’s work together to push the Republican party back to what American’s want more than anything from their government: their liberty. We can do this through two important steps:

By caring about and participating in the Republican party and its primaries, at all levels of government and in all elections.

By supporting and uniting behind the Republican candidates for major offices, even when they are not perfect.

That second step is particularly important. For those of you with a great libertarian zeal who thinking, “I won’t settle for anything less than perfect” I’ve got some bad news: it doesn’t exist. You will never find a politician, or anyone for that matter, that you agree with on every single issue. John McCain was far from perfect, but he is also far from Obama. Do you honestly believe we would be $1.6 trillion in the red this year, or that we’d be waiting months for a decision on Afghanistan while are troops are dying, if the President was the war hero from Arizona instead of the carpet bagger from Illinois?

But there’s good news, by winning elections and making strong conservative, and, yes, libertarian arguments we can move the country in our direction. We didn’t arrive at the doorstep of fascism overnight, it took a century. The road back will be long and arduous, but will be undeniably worth it.

Join me, won’t you? And if you don’t agree with me, please engage me. No healthy republic can survive without the market of public discourse.

I look forward to this conversation.

Lumps of ice turned out of hens’ basins were still frozen in the evening. Made bonfire, added some of the hay which had rotted to the compost-heap. This uses up the Adco, which will not have made the 7 cwt. of manure as specified, but perhaps I used it too liberally.

Things, no matter what you think. What we believe what we get closer to ourselves. Our thoughts are

Things, no matter what you think. What we believe what we get closer to ourselves. Our thoughts are really magnets.

Often, we are, and have thoughts that we do not need and in fact we get exactly the opposite of what we want. Yet we continue to have this kind of thinking.

Although, of course, this is of course the man, pay attention to how you can, and will, make-up every time. I promise.

If you are a survivor of domestic violence andyou think and feel the words and feelings showered upon you by your current or former perpetrator, what might you expect from that?

Think about it. You can and will bring onto yourself the creation, the manifestation of those thoughts. Ouch!

So how do you change your thoughts? We know that simply saying to ourselves NOT to think such and such only makes us think about it more and more… It’s like saying don’t think about an elephant. (Now what’s on your mind?)

Rather than leave you thinking, imagine if you let go of you. In my recovery from my nightmare run with domestic violence and the syndrome of abuse of rights, I discovered a process that is razor sharp for a change of lateral thinking.

You may have heard of The Work of Byron Katie. It's actually a very simple process that allows you to let go of thoughts that you do not need, which are the thoughts that do not serve the supreme good. ActuallyDo not Let Go thoughts, thoughts to indulge you.

If you are struggling with thoughts that go down, put those thoughts investigation until he let go of you. And in this category thought to be more authentic YOU.
