  Un asemenea individ poate fi dezarmat cu usurinta daca ne plasam în spatele lui, provocându-i astfel senzatia de vulnerabilitate fata de orice fel de atac si obligându-l sa-si schimbe pozitia într-una mai putin agresiva. Metoda poate fi eficienta când sunt prezenti mai multi oameni si când cel în cauza ramâne cu spatele descoperit. Dar cum procedam atunci când ne confruntam de unul singur cu un individ calare pe un scaun turnant? Discutia cu el n-are nici un rost, mai ales daca se roteste întruna, când într-o parte, când în alta. În acest caz, cea mai buna aparare este atacul non-verbal. Sa conducem conversatia în asa fel încât, stând în picioare, sa-l putem privi de sus în jos si sa patrundem în teritoriul sau personal. Aceasta îl va perturba mult si în efortul sau de a evita schimbarea fortata a locului, s-ar putea chiar sa cada de pe scaun. Daca ne vine în vizita un adept al încalecarii scaunului si cu atitudinea sa agresiva ne scoate din sarite, sa-l asezam într-un scaun cu brate, bine fixat, care îl va împiedica sa-si foloseasca pozitia sa favorabila.

Culegerea de scame imaginare Când cineva dezaproba opiniile sau atitudinile altora, dar considera ca nu-si poate dezvalui propria parere, gesturile sale non-verbale vor fi miscari de înlocuire, adica vor rezulta din opiniile sale neafirmate. A culege scame imaginare de pe o haina este un asemenea gest. În timpul acestei activitati minore, neinteresante, individul respectiv are privirile atintite spre podea, de regula nu priveste spre ceilalti. Este unul din semnele cel mai frecvent folosite pentru exprimarea dezaprobarii, iar daca ascultatorul continua sa culeaga scame inexistente, gestul indica cu claritate ca el nu agreeaza ceea ce i se spune, chiar daca în cuvinte îsi declara acordul cu cele auzite. Daca ni se raspunde ca este de acord, dar continua sa culeaga scame imaginare, va trebui sa gasim o modalitate obiectiile sale ascunse.

GESTURI ALE CAPULUI Lucrarea noastra n-ar fi completa fara discutarea miscarilor de baza ale capului, dintre care cele mai larg folosite sunt încuviintarea si clatinatul din cap. Încuviintarea cu capul este un gest politic, care, în cele mai multe culturi, semnifica “Da”. Poate fi utilizat si ca semn al teritorialitatii, pentru a exprima pretentia asupra unui spatiu. La aceasta putem ajunge, asezând un obiect ceva mai departe si întrebându-l: “Ati vazut acest obiect?” obligându-l astfel sa se aplece înainte. Este o metoda buna si imitarea gestului. Daca vrem sa aratam ca suntem de acord cu cealalta persoana, nu trebuie sa facem altceva decât sa imitam gesturile sale. Pe de alta parte, daca cineva utilizând gestul mâinilor asezate înapoia capului ne admonesteaza, iar noi raspundem, prin imitare, cu acelasi gest, înseamna ca pe cale non-verbala îl intimidam. Doi avocati, de exemplu, pot utiliza acest gest când sunt împreuna pentru exprimarea similitudinii si întelegerii între ei, dar utilizat de un elev neastâmparat în biroul directorului scolii, l-ar înfuria, desigur, pe acesta. Originea acestui gest este incerta, dar, dupa toate probabilitatile, mâinile sunt folosite ca rezematoare imaginara pentru sprijin si destindere. In cursul cercetarii acestui gest s-a constatat, de exemplu, la o societate de asigurari, ca din treizeci de sefi de compartimente, douazeci si sapte îl utilizau în mod curent în prezenta subordonatilor, dar rareori în fata superiorilor, în prezenta sefilor lor, aceiasi oameni recurgeau la grupuri de gesturi de supunere si defensive.

În fiecare din aceste cazuri, individul sta cu mâinile înfipte în solduri, acesta fiind unul din cele mai raspândite gesturi care comunica o atitudine agresiva. Unii observatori l-au etichetat drept gest “de pregatire”, ceea ce într-un anumit context este o denumire corecta, dar semnificatia lui de baza este agresiunea. Pozitia este numita si postura provocatoare, cu referire la individul care merge direct la tinta si recurge la aceasta postura când este gata de lupta pentru atingerea obiectivelor sale. Aceste observatii sunt exacte, deoarece, în ambele cazuri, individul este gata sa intre în actiune pentru un anume scop, dar gestul ramâne totusi unul agresiv. Barbatii îl utilizeaza frecvent în prezenta femeilor pentru a demonstra o atitudine de mascul agresiva, dominanta. De exemplu, daca haina celui în cauza este descheiata si împinsa spre spate sau este încheiata atunci când adopta aceasta postura agresiva. Gestul facut cu haina încheiata denota frustrare agresiva, pe când haina descheiata si împinsa spre spate exprima o postura direct agresiva; individul expunându-si deschis inima si beregata îsi manifesta non-verbal îndrazneala si tenacitatea. Caracterul agresiv al acestei pozitii poate fi accentuat si mai mult daca se sta eu picioarele îndepartate unul de celalalt sau daca grupul de gesturi este însotit de palmele tinute pumn. Si manechinele utilizeaza grupuri de gesturi agresive de pregatire pentru a crea impresia ca modelele prezentate sunt pentru femei elegante, energice, cu o gândire moderna. There are several minor characters that pop in and out and add to the main storyline of a robbery within the chateau. I learned of a few secrets that our main characters had hidden and was hoping that the crime would be solved without trouble coming down on their heads.

As I have previously stated, Ms. Oh is a true genius when it comes to this subject matter. I am able to envision everything that occurs in her scenes in minute detail due to her fantastic knowledge of BDSM and ménage. I loved The Hand of the Master and hope you do too.
