Review: “Freeessshh!” Brooklyn rapper Push! Montana drops a long-awaited mixtape alongside Don Cannon with “Rebirth Of Fresh Vol 1 (No Floors)”. The tape contains some of Push’s more recognizable hits as well as some newer joints and remixes from “The Fresh Prince of New York”. The tape starts off with an Intro! that lets you know this mixtape is a movie. The intro segues into the first track titled 1St 48 with a testament to Push’s hustle: “They say those who work like peasants will soon eat like kings”. The joint with Maino titled Money In The Bank is crazy. Other favorites from Push! such as Kill You, Who Cares and What’s Poppin My G are featured on the tape as well. Listen to Amazin which is a good remix and also check for 4Eva. There is a lot of good material on this much overdue mixtape that will definitely make Push! Montana relevant again especially on the NY rap scene. Features on the mixtape include Maino, Roccett, DBO Brown and Maino’s brother Mouse. Production comes from Hi-Tek, Illmind and Dame Grease. Shouts to Don Cannon, Black Flag City and Mandalay Jay. There’s bonus video footage featuring Push! and Freddie Biggs’ in-studio performance of “FaSho” and you can get the tape streaming on Sound Cloud and on the Official Push! Montana MySpace page.
