Page 6 of chapter 1…when I counted back, I may have another seven or eight more pages to go for this chapter, and am almost done with three pages already. I might be finishing this chapter by the end of January

I’m so happy…

Anyway, so you’ve noticed I not only changed Germany to ‘Germania‘ (old word for Germany), I also changed Prussia to ‘Pruesa‘ (a slightly altered Prussia name in another language) and Russia to ‘Slavya‘ (non-existed…I simply made my own based on the word ‘Slav’). Also, again I played with shadows and long speeches. The shadows may be too much, but the so-called history of the ‘Northern War’ must be told, because this may be important for the further development of the story, which if I continue would mean I am giving out a spoiler ;P

But basically this ‘Northern War’ between the ‘Slavyans’ and ‘Pruesans’ are not entirely untrue. I actually based this made-up fact from Himaruya’s description of how Prussia actually hated Russia, and the World War history onto which Prussia was finally abolished. And indeed, they did went to war in real life…it seemed Russia is just too big to fight off…

And do ignore about the ‘barbaric Slavyans’ thing…I just typed that to give a picture on how their enemies are actually very cruel and barbaric (I was thinking more of a Hokuto no Ken’s type of barbaric lol…xD but no, not really…they just like to fight), NOT the actual Russian people. I may not have met a Russian, but I’m sure he or she is more human than what I had imagined for this story (despite not planning to draw any of this barbarian in the comic…)

Stier Pferch literally used as the tavern’s name, and meant ‘Bull Pen’ in German. Nothing specific on that; just that I don’t have the best of knowledge in German language to actually give a cool name for the place. And boy, wasn’t Gilbert totally drunk?

Spectacles like the one Austria wore does not exist until later centuries of this story…the spectacles should actually look like this:

Making nice progress given how much I dick around.  Nothing much else to say otherwise.  Oh right.  Merry Christmas to everyone in case I don’t get around to posting again before it rolls around.  Personally I don’t care about Christmas; I’ve said this before.  There is only one holiday I like folks, and that is St.Patrick’s Day -  There is no other day recognized by western culture (I know of) that condones the wearing of green, reckless drinking and consumption of deep fried battered foods.  I hope to continue this tradition in Hong Kong even if I will be doing it by myself.

is ruining my life. Also, slowpoke.jpg

I still work on doujin from time to time, but this is just too much fun.  I haven’t even beaten Hordes of the Underdark yet thanks to this.  The draft of my doujin is inching towards the finishing line.   I should be able to consistently work on it without too much second thought or thinking at all after I’m done drafting.  Drafting is just hard work, you get stuck so often just trying to think of what to draw in each frame to make what you’re trying to portray more exciting.

I haven’t beaten touhou labyrinth yet, still on first disc and on floor 6.  But already I like it.  It takes a bunch of very simple programming concepts and an ageless genre and makes it fun….fun by giving it a higher layer of difficulty.  In traditional RPG games, the gameplay is rarely as technical and challenging, but it’s what grabs you about this game.  The battle encounter method is a bit annoying though, maybe I’m still too early in the game, but I wish there was a way to somehow affect it so I don’t have to run into a battle every 7 seconds.
