There was alot of heat in New York when Victoria’s Secret hosted their fashion show at the Armory. Heidi Klum was the special host, and the “angels” included a who’s who of supermodel talent as listed here: Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr, Chanel Iman, Marisa Miller, Erin Heatherton, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel, Lindsay Ellingson, Liu Wen, Izabel Goulart, Isabeli Fontana,Shannan Click, Flavia de Oliveira, Lyndsey Scott, Aminata Niaria, Caroline Trentini, Ana Beatriz Barros, Caroline Winberg, and Lily Aldridge. Foi na última quinta-feira, 19/11, o esperado desfile anual da Victoria’s Secret, um dos eventos fashion mais esperados do ano, que aconteceu no The Lexington Armory, em Nova York.

O desfile reuniu algumas das maiores modelos do mundo, que obviamente desfilaram seus corpos esculturais vestindo… lingerie: Alessandra Ambrosio, Izabel Goulart, Miranda Kerr, Isabeli Fontana, Marisa Miller, Selita Ebanks, Doutzen Kroes, Heidi Klum, Ana Beatriz Barros, Chanel Iman, Candice Swanepoel. Aliás, foi a primeira aparição pós-gravidez de Heidi Klum, que surgiu na passarela lindíssima como sempre.

A cantora Fergie, que comandou o som, não ficou para trás e exibiu seu belo par de pernas em apresentação com o grupo Black Eyed Peas, que levantou a galera com a música Boom Boom Pow.

A modelo Marisa Miller adentrou a passarela usando um sutiã com diamantes, que custa nada menos que U$ 3 milhões! Confira os looks:

Heidi Klum – Roberto Cavalli – 5! That’s a very Heidi dress, plus she was the host, walked the runway, and just had a baby. She looks great.

Fergie – Dolce & Gabbana – 3.5 It’s okay…

Adrienne Bailon – Perfect dress for her, I love that she decided to stand out in a spearmint green dress. The silver detail on the boots are not cutting it for me though. 4

Carine Roitfeld in Dolce & Gabbana- Maybe if she lost the jacket. This outfit is too hard for the pink carpet. 2

Fergie in Blumarine at the after party…downgrade. This is a flashback to Lisa Frank. 2

Doutzen Kroes – 4. I’ve missed the sweetheart neckline. I think models basically always know how to dress well. It’s probably because they’ve had a lot of practice with what works for them and what doesn’t.

Keri Hilson - pretty hair pretty makeup, a dress is very dangerous. And for that she gets a 2

Candice Swanepoel in Cushnie Et Ochs – On anyone else this dress would not work, but this looks great on Candice! Very daring, but nice for her frame.

I love the backstage and off duty models photos, almost as much as I love editorials….

I’m currently obsessed with curling my hair with a flat iron; but, I digress.

I pay close attention to how the hairstylists curl their hair, put on winged eyeliner. You know the important things that will help me change the world

On the 19 November, in New York, the models came out to play. All I can say is this has to be one of my FAVOURITE catwalk events of the year.

Am gasit cu ceva timp în urmă un pictorial interesant realizat de Patrick Demarchelier pentru ediţia din  mai 2009 a revistei VOGUE US. Şase top-modele au pozat împreună cu iubiţii lor pentru cea mai renumită revista glossy. Enjoy!

Pe Doutzen Kroes o cunoaşte toată lumea din reclamele pentru L’Oreal. Greg Andrews este DJ şi producător muzical. S-au cunoscut la petrecerea Vogue pentru numărul din mai 2007. “L-am văzut pe Greg de departe şi m-am dus la el. L-am întrebat:  Cine esti?; iar el râzând a spus:  Cine sunt?… Cine esti tu?“, îşi aminteşte frumoasa blondă.  A trecut ceva timp de la prima întâlnire, dar  sunt încă o pereche. El îi cumpără rochii vaporoase, dar ea se simte cel mai bine în sveterele lui.

Julia Stegner este de origine germană şi îl alintă pe Steven, “Schatzi” (a.k.a Iubi ). Steven Pan este asistentul principal al fotografului Steven Meisel aşa că sunt împreună şi la muncă. Când nu muncesc, cei doi fac surfing sau snowboarding. Steven spune că îi plac călătoriile, iar cea mai memorabilă a fost în Sierra Leone cu UNICEF, pentru care Julia este ambasador al bunavoinţei. Cât despre stilul lui Steven, Julia spune: “Îl plac la nebunie în Levi’s, iar când este plecat îi fur hanoracele.“

Caroline nu-şi mai aminteşte cum s-au vazut prima oară. Erau în urmă cu trei ani la un shooting. Caroline era model, iar Victor – asistentul principal al tatălui său (Patrick Demarchelier). “Era prea timid ca să-mi vorbească!” spune ea. Au început să se cunoască mai bine ieşind cu prietenii la meciuri de baschet.  Şi au făcut “echipă”!

“Îmi place când poartă echipamentul de tenis. E foarte bun la acest sport.”,  spune brazilianca despre iubitul ei. Victor o învaţă pe Caroline tenis, iar ea îl ajută să se descurce în portugheză.

Tyga (a.k.a Michael Stevenson) este rapper şi este din acelaşi oraş din care vine şi Chanel – L.A. Ea consideră că acest lucru îi uneşte foarte mult.

“Dacă aş merge la cumpărături cu ea, am pierde toată ziua. Prefer să-i cumpăr eu câte ceva” spune Tyga. “El mi-a dăruit prima mea geantă Balenciaga, de Crăciun. A fost foarte drăguţ pentru că nu mă gândeam că ştie ce e Balenciaga. Am fost surprinsă să-l văd pe Tyga venind la shootingul meu îmbrăcat în YSL şi Louis Vuitton. Avea nişte ochelari grozavi şi un medallion cu Garfield.”

Pe BlackBerry-ul ei, Arlenis păstrează o poză cu ei din culisele unui show Oscar de la Renta. Cuplul Dominican s-a format datorită agentului lor, pentru că şi Rene este model. Fură timp între job-uri şi îl petrec împreună la NY, unde Arlenis are un apartament. Cea mai reuşită întâlnire: cină şi filme. Cei doi gătesc împreună, iar Arlenis spune că Rene face cele mai bune omlete.

Arlenis îi poartă hainele. Îi place jacheta lui albastră Abercombie & Fitch. Iar la cumpărături merg întotdeauna împreună.

Duncan Winecoff este absolvent al unei facultăţi de studii economice, din  California, iar Anna Jagodzinska este o poloneză superbă cu un dezvoltat simţ antreprenor. “Anna este cea mai curioasă persoană pe care o cunosc. Este mereu pe internet şi caută activităţi de voluntariat şi oportunităţi de călătorie”. Au fost într-un Safari de 11 zile în Tanzania  şi au stat în corturi şi colibe suspendate în copaci. Ea îl place când poartă tricouri, dar şi costume pentru că nu o face foarte des. “Cele mai frumoase lucruri care mi le face sunt lucruri simple precum … mă asteaptă cu o ceaşcă de ceai verde când ajung acasa seara“, spune Anna despre iubitul ei.

Aconteceu ontem o badalado desfile anual (e o mais esperado de lingeries!) da Victoria’s Secret. O evento como sempre reuniu as maiores tops do mundo, suas Angels, e aconteceu no Lexington Armony, em Nova York.

As modelos desfilaram ao som de Black Eyed Peas. Fergie usava um longo com pernas a mostra.

As Angels brasileiras estavam em peso. Olha só algumas.

Das tops internacionais:

P.S.: só o sutiã de Marisa Miller custa 3 milhões de doláres!!

Mas me diz qual lingerie você gostaria de ter? Eu já tenho uma favorita!

Ontem, quinta-feira, foi uma das noites mais esperadas do ano, ou melhor a noite mais esperada do ano pela grife de beldades que desfilam de lingerie, Victoria’s Secret.
Ele aconteceu no 69th Regiment Armory, em Nova York. Entre 30 e 35 modelos. As brasileiras que estavam na passarela foram oito: Ana Beatriz Barros, Carol Trentini, Cinthia Dicker, Isabeli Fontana, Izabel Goulart e Flavia Oliveira, além das angels Alessandra Ambrósio e a recém-nomeada, Emanuela de Paula.

As demais Angels que desfilaram na apresentação deste ano foram Miranda Kerr, Marisa Miller, que carregou o Fantasy Bra 2009, Dotzen Kroes, Chanel Iman, Lindsay Ellington, Candice Swanepol e Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Adriana Lima infelizmente não desfilou, pois nesta segunda deu à luz uma menina, Valentina Lima Jaric, filha do jogador de basquete Marko Jaric.

A mais antiga Angel, Heidi Klum, foi a apresentadora do evento, como de costume. Ela deu à luz há pouco mais de um mês ao seu quarto filho, a garota Lou Samuel.

Qual vocês mais gostaram?

No more than a week ago I ordered some stuff from Victoria’s Secret with my mum’s dear friend Sabrina, on my receipt it said I would arrive around the 11th of December, perfect for Christmas right? Imagine my surprise when this massive brown box of love, rainbows and unicorns arrived at the front door. It is no less than 70×70x50 and weighed 8 kgs.

I am so excited! Everything fits so perfectly and I was pleasantly surprised by how fast it got here! And look at the cute flower detail on the ruffle undies!

Now, uh… who’s gonna clean up the mess?

Hier ziet u, onder het mom ‘het oog wil ook wat’ de mooiste vrouw en mooiste man van Nederland. U kent ze niet? Wel: het zijn dan ook geen bekende Nederlanders. Alhoewel, de gezichten zijn – en ik moet toegeven dat dat best mooi is gedaan – samengesteld uit kenmerken van de gezichten van een aantal BN’ers.

De samenstelling is tot stand gekomen naar onderzoek van Psychologie Magazine. De mooiste man van Nederland is een combinatie van Michiel Huisman, Arie Boomsma, Daniel Boissevain, Alain Clark, Ruben Nicolai en Chris Zegers. En de mooiste combineert de uiterlijke kenmerken van Doutzen Kroes, Carice van Houten, Touriya Haoud, Daphne Bunskoek, Hanna Verboom en Tara Elders.

Allemaal mooi en aardig natuurlijk, maar ik blijf er bij dat het nietszeggende plaatjes zijn. En waarom zouden de mooiste Nederlanders automatisch zijn opgebouwd uit alleen Bekende Nederlanders? Net of wij gewone stervelingen niet mooi kunnen zijn.

Al is schoonheid blijkbaar belangrijk, blijkt. Anders heb je weinig kans te overleven.

Neem de klassieke uitstraling van Touriya Haoud en Carice van Houten, gooi er het lieve maar lekkere snoetje van Hanna Verboom bij, plak er de look van Doutzen Kroes op, met wat sensuele lippen van Tara Elders en maak het af met een vleugje boerennuchterheid van ‘girl next door’ Daphne Bunskoek.

But it’ll be taped this Thursday. So who can we expect to shimmy and shake down the runway? Heidi’s hosting this year, and since Adriana Lima also just had her baby, she’ll probably watch from home. But regulars like Miranda Kerr, Doutzen, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Marissa Miller should be walking. Stam, Chanel and possibly Lily will join in to give the show a high fashion boost, which makes it worth watching.
