Na początek edytujemy odpowiednie pliki:
# vim /etc/apt/preferences

Jeśli podany plik nie istnieje to należy go utworzyć. Jego zawartość:

Package: *
Pin: release a=stable
Pin-Priority: 1001

oraz drugi plik /etc/apt/sources.list i zamieniamy wszystkie wpisy testing na stable (chyba, że odwołujemy się do nazw nie głównych gałęzi lecz kolejnych wydań – wtedy przykładowo zamieniamy ciąg squeeze na lenny).

Przykładowo może on wyglądać tak:

Na koniec wykonujemy:

Ugye mint tudjuk 1.5.1.x verzióra váltott a hivatalos aion szerver. Mi akik ingyenes szervereken játszunk, még ezt a klienst nem tudjuk használni, így akik updateltek, vagy most akarják beüzemelni a játékot nem tudnak játszani.

Ha felülírjátok a fullra updatelt aion bin32 mappát akkor ismét 1.5.0.x klienst kaptok.

Nem teszteltem, nem is fogom ezért felupdatelni a játékomat. De aki így járt, próbálja meg. (NOD32 felhasználók jelezték, hogy vírust jelezhet. Nincs benne…)

I’m having problems with my new updated Xubuntu core as I have mentioned at my previous post.

After some good search and reading I have found a possible solution. There is a good way to downgrade your core without major incidents.

Here are the steps (got from Ubuntu Forums)

1. Reboot your machine and when Xubuntu is about to start hit ESC (or the key set to show the menu options at boot). You should see about 3 to 5 entries where one of them should be a older version of your core. Choose the right version and you are done.

Now if you don’t see the right core, then this is what you need to do:

1. Using Synaptic install a linux-image (use linux-image to search in synaptic) that reflect the right core that you want to downgrade. Take note on the information about the core. Ex.: 2.6.31-14-generic

2. Open your menu list at your Grub boot menu and see what options do you have to start your Xubuntu (use terminal).

mousepad /boot/grub/menu.lst

Now add the new menu core installed following the same format as the other ones.

Bueno, acá les dejo este tuto para hacer un downgrade del X-plore v1.30 al v1.22. Como todos los que tenemos esta app sabemos, la versión 1.22 expiró el 31/12/2008, y era hasta ahora, la última versión que permitía registro de la misma sin problema alguno, ya que al actualizar a la v1.30 el registro de activación de la misma se borraba, dejando así que apareciera la molestisima pantalla de inicio de 3 segundos.
Afortunadamente, hay una forma de volver a usar la v1.22, registrada y todo. Estos son los pasos:

Descargar X-plore v1.15
Descargar X-plore v1.22 modificada
Descargar X-plore v1.22 Keygen

Primeramente, van a Reloj–> Configuraciones y van a retrasar la fecha del reloj a una fecha posterior al 31/12/2008, o sea que con solo cambiar el año carta y sobra, y seguido a eso van a desinstalar la v1.30. Luego van a instalar la v1.15 y, SIN ABRIRLA, la van a desinstalar.
Ahora van a instalar la v1.22 modificada. La modificación que tiene es que esta tiene fecha de expiración el 31/12/2039, x lo que van a tener tiempo para usarla , y, además, cambian los iconos tanto de la app como los que están dentro, dandole una apariencia distinta de las otras versiones.
Hecho esto, solo queda instalar el X-plore v1.22 Keygen, que les va a dar el número de registro. Una vez que lo tienen lo introducen en en el X-plore. Salen de la app, cambian de nuevo la fecha y listo. Ya pueden usarlo sin problemas.

Bueno, acá les vengo a contar ésto que me pasó hoy mismo a la mañana.

Hace unos días, se publicó la versión 1.7 de Xorg, y como todos sabemos, Arch suele estar siempre al día, gracias a lo cual ya desde ayer teníamos dicha versión disponible en repositorios. Y ahí empezó la odisea, ya que, tras actualizarlos y reiniciar mi PC que quedé sin servidor gráfico. Y no había caso, no podía levantar las Xs de ninguna forma.

Tras luchar un poco, las levante usando vesa y ahi, buscando en el foro de Arch me enteré del problema, el cual no fue anunciando ni en el sitio de Arch (al menos hasta éste momento, sigue sin publicarse nada al respecto). La única mención que ví está en la lista de correo de desarrolladores.

Pero, ¿cuál es el problema?, muy sencillo que Xorg 1.7 es incompatible con todos los drivers legacy de Nvidia (las series 173xx y 96xx). O sea, que si tenés una placa de video Nvidia medio viejita olvídate de usar el nuevo Xorg, por lo menos, hasta que salgan nuevas versiones de los drivers solucionando ésto.

Pero bueno, ¿están ustedes en la misma que yo? les pasó lo mismo y ahora están sin entorno gráfico. La solución es relativamente sencilla. Es más, tenemos 3 opciones.

1_ Usar el driver NV

pacman -S xf86-video-nv

2_ Usar el divrer Nouveau

pacman -S nouveau-drm xf86-video-nouveau

Tanto para la opción 1 como para la 2, recuerden editar el xorg.conf y poner en la opción driver, el que corresponde en reemplazo del nvidia que tenían.

3_ Hacer un downgrade a la versión anterior de Xorg donde no había problemas.

El downgrade fue lo que yo hice. Y volví a la versión 1.6.3 que tenía antes. Existen 2 formas de hacerlo. La primera es buscar en var/cache/pacman/pkg el paquete deseado y luego, con un

pacman -U nombredelpaquete-versionvieja.pkg.tar.gz

Instalamos dicha versión, en nuestro caso, sería el paquete xorg-server-1.6.3.901-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz pero bueno obviamente yo no tengo tanta suerte y mi cache estaba vacía. Por lo que tomé el camino difícil.

Tal y como dice la wiki de Arch, fue a ver el estado de los mirrors de los repositorios y busqué alguno que todavía no se hubiese actualizado (hay algunos que tardan días o semanas en hacerlo). Entonces elegí uno de esos. Recuerden que a la web del mirror al final deben agregarle “$repo/os/i686” o el “$repo/os/x86_64” según su versión del sistema. Luego edité mi mirrorlist, en donde agregue dicho mirror y, temporalmente, comente todos los otros. Eso se hace, con un

sudo nano /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

Es lo mismo si usan nano, gedit, mousepad, kwrite o el que deseen. Yo pongo nano porque asumo que no tiene entorno gráfico para usar los otros. Entonces le agregan # a todos los mirrors y copian al comienzo el mirror elegido para que quede algo así:

Server = ftp://atviras.lt/archmirror/$repo/os/i686
#Server = http://www.las.ic.unicamp.br/pub/archlinux/$repo/os/i686
#Server = http://mirror.umoss.org/archlinux/$repo/os/i686

En donde el primero es, justamente, el mirror con paquetes viejos. Entonces, ya solo es cuestión de actualizar los repos y reinstalar Xorg. Aunque previamente, debemos hacer un downgrade a xf86-input-evdev debido a las dependencías. Entonces hacemos

sudo pacman -Syy
sudo pacman -S xf86-input-evdev
sudo pacman -S xorg

Durante el proceso, el mismo pacman les avisará que van a bajar de versión los programas y les pedirá la confirmación dicen que si, y listo. Ya tendrán el Xorg viejo instalado, ahora reinician el sistema y listo.

Si todo funcionó bien, ya pueden volver a editar el mirrorlist, quitando el repo que agregamos y volviendo a activar los que usan habitualmente. Ahora, para que en el próximo upgrade pacman no vuelva a actualizarles el Xorg, hay que editar el pacman.conf y decirler que ignore a xorg:

sudo kwrite /etc/pacman.conf

y lo editamos para que quede así

# Pacman won't upgrade packages listed in IgnorePkg and members of IgnoreGroup
IgnorePkg   = xf86-input-evdev
IgnoreGroup = xorg

Y listo. Solucionado todo el problema. Si algún día se actualizan los drivers Nvidia o cambian de placa, editan el pacman.conf borrando la referencia a ignorar xorg y listo, volverá a actualizare normalmente como cualquier otro paquete.

Y, ¿Cuál es la moraleja de todo ésto? es que siempre que se actualicen éstos paquetes importantes del sistema como Xorg, el kernel o cosas así, esperen unos días para actualizarse. Y antes de hacerlo, revisen el foro de Arch a ver si surgieron problemas con dicho update ya que puede pasarles a ustedes .

Hace poco salío salío el nuevo firmware de Wii (4.2), el cual fuera de tener actualizaciones interesantes para los poseedores de dicha consola, era más bien un pacheco intento para detener y bloquear por un tiempo a los fans del homebrew para esa consola.

Caso parecido, con las versiones 6 y 6.1 del firmware del psp, las cuales solo agregar funcionales poco importantes a la consola portatil de Sony, a tal grado que parecen excusas para liberar otro conjunto de candados para mantener a los hackers de consolas atrás así como a los usuarios de sus programas.

Y es que hoy en día toda compañía con un dispositivo portatil lo suficientemente complejo como para aceptar contenido y aplicaciones tiene el problema de si debe permitir o no a cuaquiera desarrollar para su plataforma y aunque en algunos casos el software para el desarollo sea de libre acceso como es el caso del iPhone, los desarrolladores deben pasar sus aplicaiones por un proceso de validación para que estas puedan ser distribuidas como oficiales por su tienda oficial.

Pero en el caso del PSP y el Wii, nadie mas que Nintendo y algunas compañía adicionales con permiso previo pueden desarollar para estos dispositivos y la plicaciones que estos ofrecen son muy limitadas, haciendo que los entusiastas de dichos dispositivos encuentren huecos para permitirle a estas consolas la posibilidad de ejecutar software no firmado por Nintendo o Sony, logrando que estos pequeños artilugios hagan cosas que sus creadores jamas imaginaron o que siempre repudiaron.

Y es que algunas de la opciones son básicas, como reproducir DVD de video en el Wii o ISOS en el PSP, radio por Internet y los clasicos emuladores que reemplazan la necesida de bajar de la tienda oficial las adaptaciones de juegos viejos hechos espcificamente para la consola. Cosas que uno quisiera que hiciera su consola por alto precio que uno paga por ella y que por politicas internas de los creadores del dispositivo no se incluyeron.

Claro ellos explican que sin la supervisión de ellos estas aplicaciones pueden apoyar cosas que pueden hacer daño a su modelo de negocios como es claro, el desbloqueo de los sitemas para que se puedan jugar juegos ilegales. Y esto siempre están presentes, claro está, pero no por eso deben juzgar igual a los que quieren explotar su consola al maximo de quienes solo quieren jugar todo gratis.

Yo en lo particular estoy feliz con mi PSP con custom firmware que me permite leer comics y libros en PDF ademas de poder jugar mis juegos de SNES y NES que ya tengo en cartucho y que por mala suerte del destino ya no grabar al no tener pila. En el caso del Wii solo use el hombrew channel para el backup loader porque pensaba jugar tatsunoko vs capcom en versión japonesa hasta que me enteré de que saldría una versión americana y lo dejé por la paz.

¿Alguien de ustedes está en contra de que estas personas ocupen tanto control sobre nosotros y nos prohiban entrar a servicios que sus consolas tienen por defecto en linea o cualquier mas solo porque nos gusta aprovechar el gasto que hicimos con nuestro gagets?

Websites like pspvideoguide provide good and easy videos for people who want to go in for a PSP downgrade. Even a high school student can comprehend these videos and use them to downgrade their PSP and enhance it immensely. But then, many times PSP downgrades go seriously wrong. Occasionally, the PSP gets totally bricked, i.e. blocked, and cannot be used at all any more. This happens when people do not take the due precautions necessary for the PSP downgrade.

Here are some of the things you want to keep carefully in mind before going in for a PSP downgrade. Read them carefully:

(i) Check and then doubly check that the downgrade process you are using is for the same version your PSP is. If you use a wrong type of downgrader, then you will end up blocking your PSP permanently, i.e. bricking it. For example, if your PSP is a version 2.6, and you are trying it with the downgrader for version 2.8, then your PSP will be bricked.

(ii) Observe the video provided to you very properly. You will need a PC, a USB data cable and, of course, the correct downgrading software program. If you mess up with any of these and in fact do not follow the instructions properly, then you may do something fearfully wrong and may lose your PSP for ever.

(iii) PSP downgrade can be done only if the PSP is of version below 3.03. You cannot attempt to downgrade any PSP which is of a higher version. First of all, there is no downgrading software for them. Secondly, if you use some other version’s downgrading software. You will brick your PSP forever.

However, despite all the risks involved, it is very useful to go ahead with a PSP downgrade. The benefits obtained by a PSP downgrade clearly outweigh all the risk factors involved. But you must bear in mind that with a downgraded PSP, you will be tempted to store much more data on it, so you will need to invest in a great capacity memory stick as well; the normal 32 MB memory stick provided with it will certainly not be worth much.

Nachdem sich Apple mit Firmware Version 3.1 einen ganz schönen Schnitzer erlaubt hat (Akkuleistung bei mir nach Update drastisch verringert, iPhone bleibt manchmal schwarz wenn ich es versuche einzuschalten, generell iPhone Bedienung träge, Tethering nicht mehr möglich), habe ich mich entschlossen, einen Downgrade auf Version 3.0.1 durchzuführen.

Dazu sei erwähnt, dass ich weder einen Jailbreak noch Sim-Unlocker verwende und je verwendet habe. Ich will also als ganz normaler Benutzer wieder die alte Version aufspielen.
Hier mein Erfahrungsbericht, gleich vorweg: funktioniert eigentlich ziemlich problemlos, bis auf die Wiederherstellung der alten Daten: SMS können nicht mehr wiederhergestellt werden (wohl aber aus einem bestehenden Backup exportiert – hierzu später mehr), die Fotos waren auch weg, konnte ich aber ebenfalls aus dem Backup extrahieren. Auch die Anordnung der Menüicons wurde nicht wiederhergestellt.
Zeit fürs Wiederherstellen: etwa 1,5 Std.
Ich verwende ein iPhone 3G, Mac OS X Snow Leopard und iTunes 9.0.1.

Datensicherung

• Zunächst möchte ich sicher gehen, dass alle Daten gesichert sind. iPhone anschließen, Datensicherung durchführen.
• Anschließend im Finder ins Library Verzeichnis des Benutzer gehen (normalerweise unter /#startvolume#/Users/#benutzer#/Library/ bzw. /#startvolume#/Benutzer/#benutzername#/Library/)
• Dort ins Unterverzeichnis “Application Support/MobileSync”
• Hier sollte nun ein Ordner namens “Backup” sein. Dieser Ordner beinhaltet die Backups. Diesen Ordner einfach kopieren(!) und woanders hin speichern, damit sind wir auf der sicheren Seite.
• Wer ganz sicher gehen möchte, kann auch noch die Kontakte und Kalender sichern (wieder im User Library Ordner “Application Support/AddressBook” bzw. “Calenders”)

iPhone Firmware Downgrade

• Version 3.0.1 der iPhone Firmware holen (direkt von Apple):
  iPhone 3.0.1 download (iPhone1,1_3.0.1_7A400_Restore.ipsw, 229 MB)
  iPhone 3G 3.0.1 download (iPhone1,2_3.0.1_7A400_Restore.ipsw, 230 MB)
  iPhone 3GS 3.0.1 download (iPhone2,1_3.0.1_7A400_Restore.ipsw, 298 MB)
• iRecovery OS X holen und installieren (Download bei benm.at)
• LibUSB OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard holen und installieren (Versionen für andere Betriebssysteme unter benm.at)
• iPhone anschließen (sofern nicht schon geschehen)
• Im iTunes das iPhone auswählen und auf der rechten Seite mit gedrückter Alt-Taste (Mac) bzw. gedrückter Shift-Taste (Windows) auf “Wiederherstellen” klicken.
• Heruntergeladene Firmware auswählen
• …warten…
• iTunes meldet einen Fehler “1015″ – das ist normal und kommt immer, wenn man eine ältere Firmware Version einspielt, im konkreten Fall hat das mit dem Baseband zu tun, das mit 3.1 upgedatet wurde
• Wiederherstellung abgeschlossen, iPhone müsste jetzt einen USB Stecker anzeigen
• iTunes schließen
• Ein Terminal Fenster starten (zu finden unter /Programme/Dienstprogramme/Terminal.app)
• Folgende Befehle nacheinander eingeben (immer warten, bis Reaktion kommt):
  iRecovery -s
  printenv
  setenv auto-boot true
  saveenv
  reboot
• Das iPhone startet nun neu, sobald es sagt, es will mit iTunes verbunden werden, iTunes wieder öffnen
• iTunes aktiviert nun das iPhone (evtl. Netzbetreibereinstellungen können aktualisiert werden)
• Anschließend fragt iTunes, ob das iPhone als neu behandelt oder aus einem Backup wiederhergestellt werden soll. Je nach Wunsch, ich habe wiederherstellen aus dem Backup gewählt.
• Nun läuft die Wiederherstellung bzw. Synchronisierung und das wars….fast, denn erstens kommt es anders und zweitens als man denkt:

Probleme während des Downgrades

Es traten einige Ungereimtheiten während des Downgrades auf, die sich jedoch alle mehr oder weniger aufwändig beheben ließen.

• iPhone bootet immer wieder in Wiederherstellungsmodus – hier half über iRecovery folgende Befehle einzugeben:
  setenv auto-boot true
  saveenv
  /exit

• iPhone scheint kurz in iTunes auf, verschwindet aber gleich wieder und es steht am iPhone Bildschirm “Synchronisieren” – Neuinstallation von iTunes behob das Problem (einfach nach “itunes download” googeln)
• SMS sind verschwunden – anscheinend dürfte die 3.1 SMS Datenbank nicht mit der 3.0 SMS Datenbank abwärtskompatibel sein. Obwohl erfolgreich wiederhergestellt, sind keine SMS da. Diese lassen sich jedoch aus dem Backup als HTML, PDF oder Excel Datei wiederherstellen, nämlich bei www.iphone-sms.com
  Ich gehe davon aus, dass in zukünftigen Firmware Versionen (z.B. 3.2) theoretisch die SMS aus dem 3.1 Backup wieder eingespielt werden könnten.
• Fotos sind verschwunden – auch die Fotos waren weg, konnten aber aus dem Backup extrahiert werden, nämlich mit dem iPhone Backup Extractor

Ich würde nach dem ganzen Zauber das iPhone nochmals neu starten.

Downgrade: Firmware 3.1 auf 3.01

Für alle iPhone 3G (nicht 3GS) ist es möglich, das Gerät zwecks Tethering etc. wieder  auf 3.01 zurück zu setzen, falls das gewünscht wird. Ein Rücksetzen des Baseband, um einen Unlock mit der alten Sicherheitslücke zu machen, ist leider nicht nur bei den wenigsten Geräten möglich, gerne prüfen wir das aber.

Things have been fairly quiet this week at work as there is a dark cloud hanging over our hospital, as we are waiting an announcement from the Northern Ireland health minister, regarding the downgrade of our clinical services, I had to go to a meeting and the ministers announcement was expected prior to the commencement of the meeting but it did not come and the meeting was then postponed until the announcement is actually made and apparently it will be made this Monday.

Because of the situation at work the workload has fallen away possibly due to the fact that work is being diverted to other hospitals. Three wards have actually closed though one of them is meant to be temporary but the staff believe the contrary and that that it is actually a permanent closure.

Wards are being run with low levels of patients and because of this it means the less patients that you have being admitted as inpatients the less x-rays, ECG’s, specimens, food, pharmacy, stores and post going through the hospital has a knock-on effect for the work force whether you are a consultant, surgeon, junior doctor, nurse, porter, domestic or other support worker, the workload is less than what it should be.

One unpleasantly noticeable fact of life is that we have been lifting less dead bodies of the wards, the amount of deaths have decreased significantly over the past year, from about 300 a year to just over a hundred deaths a year.

Because of the less work that I’ve been doing over the past number of months the muscles don’t get the same activity that they have been used to over the years, I would rather be active to keep the tone in my muscle’s because the older that I’m getting it’s becoming harder to keep the fitness that is required to do my job, when I’ve been off on holidays it takes about a week to get my muscles up to speed again.

The sooner Michael McGimpsey makes the decision about our hospital the better because of the cloud of uncertainty that is creating low morale amongst the staff who have real and genuine concerns about their future employment, things can become stressful at times which doesn’t help the muscles because of the muscle tension that stress causes.

Apple hat vor einigen Tagen ein Update auf die Softwareversion 3.1 für das iPhone herausgebracht.
Allerdings hat man auch eine (für uns iPhone Benutzer) nicht so tolle Neuerung eingebaut: ab sofort akzeptiert das iPhone nur mehr von Apple signierte sogenannte Mobileconfigs (mit diesen wird Tethering für den jeweiligen Anbieter konfiguriert).
Bisher wurden auch unsignierte Mobileconfigs akzeptiert und Seiten wie help.benm.at konnten Mobileconfigs zum Download anbieten.

Das geht nun (vorübergehend) nicht mehr. Aber wir in Österreich können uns glücklich schätzen, dass es überhaupt noch funktioniert. T-Mobile Deutschland erlaubt überhaupt kein Tethering mehr wie auf fsclock nachzulesen ist.
Die Kunden lassen sichs aber nicht gefallen, wie auch im Law Blog von Udo Vetter steht.

Eine Möglichkeit wäre, das iPhone auf die Softwareversion 3.0 downzugraden. Eine Anleitung dazu findet sich hier

Anscheinend dürften nicht alle iPhones betroffen sein davon dass Tethering nicht mehr funktioniert. Bei manchen (vor Allem T-Mobile) Usern funktioniert Tethering nach dem Upgrade nach wie vor…bei mir nicht

I give up! I have reinstalled OS X 10.5 on my Mac Mini because I am sick of the problems caused by Snow Leopard. If you saw my earlier post on the subject, you know I was having problems launching System Preferences. If I restarted the system and then tried to launch System Preferences, the icon would bounce in the dock about ten times, and then stop without the System Preferences pane ever coming up. Opening Activity Monitor or pressing Command-Option-Esc would reveal that System Preferences was running but “not responding”. So I would have to Force Quit it. Then, if I tried to launch it again, it would work fine.

I use several third party apps that have modules that start when the computer is booted. They are Dropbox and 1Password. Thinking that one of these might be the source of the problem, I disabled the components that started at boot time. This did not fix the problem, to my great annoyance and frustration.

I use a Mac because it usually “just works.” I am so not in the mood to sit around tinkering with this OS to try to get it to do what it is supposed to do. If I were, I’d be using Linux. There are other applications I use that are not supported under Snow Leopard. I realize that this is the fault of the developers of those apps and not Apple, but it still reminds me of the launch of Vista, where people were left with a lot of unusable software.

But what about the performance improvements, you ask? Well, there were none. In fact, I feel confident in saying that performance on my Mac actually got worse under Snow Leopard. In particular, graphics events got worse. If I open a Stacks-enabled folder in the dock in Leopard (10.5), it opens quickly and smoothly. Under Snow Leopard, the animation would be jerky, like some of the “frames” of the animation were missing. I realize that my Core Duo Mac Mini is not a performance powerhouse, but it IS a dual-core Intel-based Mac of fairly recent vintage, and I expect it to be able to keep up under an OS that promises performance enhancements. If Snow Leopard is only good for people with 8-core Mac Pros (or PowerMacs or whatever they’re called these days), they might have said so on the box.

Maybe after a few more revisions come out (like 10.6.4), and after third-party developers catch up and are able to get their apps to work properly, I’ll reinstall Snow Leopard. But for now, I’ll happily stick with what works and works well: good ‘ol Leopard 10.5!

Mac OSX Snow Leopard has some issues which annoy a lot of people, so here in this short post is a list of all changes Apple has to make to make Snow Leopard at least a decent service pack instead of a large annoyance.

-Safari Stripes :
Many people have been experiencing issues with top sites in Safari. When loading a page the first few seconds all we see are stripes. Apple fix this!

-64-bits not enabled and even impossible for most people :
Apple should better not be promoting 64-bits as a new feature in Snow Leopard, because it isn’t. Many people have to perform special actions to boot in 64-bits mode and most people can’t even run Snow Leopard in 64-bits mode disregarding the 64-bits EFI.

-Huge icons in stacks :
The new stacks feature is completely visually screwed up. The icons are huge and this can’t be changed it’s really an eyesore.

-Blue decorations and slowness in exposé :
This is just plain ugly, get rid of it or enable people to disable it.

Solve these things Apple and Snow Leopard will actually be an update instead of a downgrade.

After being prompted a few times by FF and reading a few positive reviews I decided to upgrade. Within 20 minutes I regretted my decision. While I didn’t experience startup issues described here, the following issues caused me to downgrade.

• RoboForm didn’t work right — didn’t look like it was notified about current location so it didn’t show proper login option. RoboForm is essential to my productivity and even if issues were limited to it only I would downgrade as well.
• It looked like there is an issue with keystrokes and mouse clicks — in both search and location box I would type a word and sometimes only half of the word would show up. Same with Page Down/Up
• Clicking on the tab would not always switch to that tab
• Ctrl+R or F5 sometimes would not refresh the page until clicking within the page

Luckily downgrading is easy: download the latest 3.0.x version here

A friend and colleague Bora reported having issues with 3.5 on OSX as well.

Uneori mai fac şmecheria de a schimba repozitoriile în Ubuntu, în loc de hardy schimb în jaunty, asta pentru a instala versiunea mai nouă a unor programe. Din această cauză, uneori apar probleme, că se instalează dependinţe mai noi, şi când încerc deja să instalez vreo aplicaţie din repozitoriile lui hardy, sistemus spune că depinde de o versiune mai veche a unei dependinţe, şi nu poate instala.

Când apar asemenea probleme, trebuie să instalăm versiunea aceea veche. Iată cum:

$ apt-cache showpkg perl-base

(asta pentru pachetul perl-base).

va afişa următoarele:

Provides:
5.10.0-23 - perlapi-5.10.0 perl5-base libxsloader-perl libscalar-list-utils-perl
5.10.0-19 - perlapi-5.10.0 perl5-base libxsloader-perl libscalar-list-utils-perl

Să zicem că pe noi ne interesează versiunea 5.10.0-19. Facem următoarele:

$ sudo aptitude install perl-base=5.10.0-19

Vedeţi bine, am pus numele pachetului (perl-base), semnul egal (=) şi versiunea care mă interesează.
