สวัสดีครับ วันนี้ผมขอแนะนำ ซีรี่การติดตั้ง ubuntu แบบ step by step กันครับ ไม่ใช่ ซีรี่เกาหลีนะครับ แต่ก็สนุกสนานไม่แพ้กันทีเดียว การติดตั้ง ubuntu คราวนี้เป็นการติดตั้งในคอมพิวเตอร์เปล่าที่ยังไม่ได้ติดตั้งอะไรเลยครับ  โดยผมแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ตอนด้วยกันครับ เพื่อไม่ให้ยืดยาวกินไป ตอนแรกนี้เป็นการหาตัว ubuntu มาติดตั้ง ตอนที่สองก็การติดตั้งแบบละเอียดพร้อมภาพประกอบแบบทีละขั้นตอน ขนาดเด็กประถมยังทำได้เลยครับ (เดี๋ยวนี้เด็กบ้านเราเก่งๆทั้งนั้น) แล้วตอนที่สามเป็นการแนะนำการใช้งานเบื้องต้นนะครับ ว่าแล้วก็เริ่มตอนแรกกันเลยครับ

1. เข้าไปที่ http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download ครับ ซึ่งจะมีให้เลือก 3 เวอร์ชั่นด้วยกัน โดยการใช้งานทั่วไปนั้นจะเลือกใช้แบบ desktop กันครับ เนื่องจากคอมพิวเตอร์ผมใช้ cpu 32 bit จึงเลือก ubuntu 32 bit ครับ ท่านใดที่ใช้ cpu 64 bit เช่น ของ AMD 64 ตรงนี้ต้องเลือกเป็นเวอร์ชั่น 64 bit ด้วยนะครับ ดังรูปครับ

เลือกดาวโหลดให้ตรงตามต้องการ

จากนั้นก็รอๆๆๆ แล้วก็รอนะครับ อ้อผมลองใช้โปรมแกรมช่วยดาวโหลดมาช่วยนะครับ เพราะไฟล์ขนาดใหญ่ แล้วก็โหลดได้ค่อนข้างช้าจึงใช้ DAP มาช่วยโหลดแต่ไม่สามารถเร่งความเร็วให้เร็วๆได้นะครับ หลังจากรอพักใหญ่ๆ เราก็ได้ไฟล์มาแล้ว ลองดูขนาดไฟล์นะครับ ประมาณ 698 MB ครับ เดี๋ยวเราจะเช็คว่าแผ่นที่โหลดมาใช้ได้สมบูรณ์หรือเปล่าอีกทีครับ

2. จากนั้นก็เขียนเป็นแผ่น CDROM สำหรับติดตั้งกันเลยครับ ผมใช้ nero burning rom นี่แหละครับใช้ง่าย ไม่เปลืองแรง โดยเปิดตัว nero burning rom มาแล้วเลือก Recorder -à Burn Image แล้วเลือกไฟล์ ubuntu ที่ดาวโหลดมาครับ จากนั้นก็รอ burn แผ่นจนเสร็จ

3. ขั้นตอนสุดท้ายสำหรับตอนนี้ครับ ก็คือการตรวจเช็คแผ่น ubuntu ที่โหลดมาว่าใช้ได้ดีเต็มร้อยหรือเปล่า วิธีการก็คือใส่แผ่น cdrom เข้าไปใน cd drive (หรือ DVD drive ที่ท่านมี) แล้ว ปรับให้ bios boot จาก cdrom ก่อนเป็นอันดับแรก หลังจากเปิดเครื่องมา bios จะ boost จากแผ่น ubuntu ซึ่งก็จะเห็นหน้าตาการติดตั้งที่สวยงามดังรูปครับ

เลือกตรวจสอบแผ่นเพื่อความสมบูรณ์ของการติอตั้ง

ให้เลือก “Check disk for defect” แล้วรอซักครู่

ถ้าไม่มีอะไรผิดพลาดก็จะบอกว่าไม่พบความผิดปกติดังรูปครับ

เรียบร้อยโรงเรียน ubuntu แล้วครับสำหรับการเตรียมความพร้อมในการติดตั้ง ต่อไปจะเป็นส่วนของการติดตั้งจริงที่ง่ายมากๆๆๆๆ ขอให่ทุกท่านโชคดีมีความสุขครับ

Akhirnya saya berhasil juga menginstall Jaunty Jackalope, setelah melalui rintangan-rintangan :p. Awalnya saya berniat untuk memesan Jaunty Jackalope namun ternyata karena perminataan akan Ubuntu terbaru ini sangat banyak, website ship it menjadi offline untuk sementara (emang kalo gratis pasti banyak yang mesen deh). Akhirnya karena tidak sabar saya mencoba untuk mendownloadnya di server ubuntu, saya pun di mirror ke server PT Telekomunikasi. Setelah saya tinggal tidur (untung speedy sudah unlimited :p) akhirnya downlod pun selesai. Tanpa pikir panjang langsung install, dan ternyata 1 file corrupt yang mengakibatkan linux gagal di install . Grub menjadi error, booting screen windows xp saya tidak muncul. Damn, saya pikir dengan me-repair windows, booting screen akan menjadi normal. Tetapi hasilnya nihil, grub masih error, masih tidak bisa masuk ke windows. Baru terpikir oleh saya untuk menginstall kembali ubuntu 8.04 yang sebelumnya saya pakai. Dan Voila ternyata itu berhasil. Tips untuk para linuxers, cek terlebih dahulu disk integrity sebelum menginstall linux anda, agar tidak terjadi hal yang saya alami. Sudah banyak cd saya coba untuk memburning iso Jaunty Jackalope, namun hasilnya sama saja, akhirnya saya memutuskan untuk mendownload kembali namun kali ini dari server kambing UI, kali ini saya download dari sebelum maghrib. Setelah selesai, karena persediaan cd saya habis, akhirnya saya memutuskan untuk memburning di dvd, yah walaupun mubadzir namun harus tetap dilakukan (udah ngebet). Disk integrity no error found, instalasi akhrnya berjalan normal. So far performa Jaunty memang lebih meningkat dari versi-versi sebelumnya karena di support dengan sistem Ext 4.

Well, let’s try to install Ubuntu, shall we? It’s worth noting that there are tons of Linux distributions, but I find that the most user-friendly and well-maintained one is Ubuntu. It’s very versatile and very easy to install!

Let’s divide this in a few steps, shall we?

First, go to the Download Ubuntu page select your desired download (Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Desktop Edition) and your type of computer…most computers have 32-bit processors…so choose the first option. Choose your location and hit the shiny green “Start Download” button!

Now go take a nap, watch a movie, play baseball with your kids, repair your car, or do whatever else you want, because the download might take a few hours depending on your Internet speed.

Ok, now that it’s finished burn the .iso file to a disc. You’ll need an ISO application for this. You could use NERO Burning ROM or whatever other program you want. For a better alternative download the free trial of PowerISO and burn the image (iso) to a CD.

Now that you have your freshly baked Live CD insert it on your PC’s main CD drive and restart. Boot from the CD (by hitting F12 a few times as soon as the computer reloads the BIOS and choose to boot from CD-ROM device).

You’ll see the above image…First select the “Check CD for Defects” option. This’ll take a few minutes. If the test was successful just select the first option (Try Ubuntu without any changes to your computer) and let the disc run it’s magic.

Once you see this glorious desktop…you’re done! You’ve successfully ran a Live CD!!! Now take the time to play around with the different features it has! Open Programs, test hardware, go nuts! Remember it’s free and it’s yours! So change everything you want! Test it throughly!!!

Hiện tại các bạn có thể download Ubuntu 8.04 tại 2 server sau đây của Việt Nam đó là

Server của Sài Gòn Lug hay server của Open Lab. Hiện nay 2 server đó đều có tốc độ download khá nhanh.

Nếu sử dụng cho máy để bàn và Laptop sử dụng CPU Intel bình thường thì các bạn nên download bản LiveCD để có thể sử dụng. Cài đặt sẽ dễ dàng có thể cài đặt từ Windows = Wubi nếu chưa có kinh nghiệm xài Linux. Nếu đã có kinh nghiệm phân vùng ổ cứng thì các bạn có thể sử dụng Alternate CD . Cả 2 link trên đều là một bản với 2 phương thức cài đặt khác nhau.

Hoặc bạn có thể sử dụng giao diện KDE 4 có vẻ bề ngoài gần giống Windows tuy nhiên cách sử dụng có thể khác với bản GNome và hiện giờ mình chưa thử bộ gõ xvnkb trên KUbuntu nhưng các bạn có thể sử dụng SCIM.

Với máy có cấu hình thấp thì XUbuntu sử dụng giao diện xcfe rất thích hợp nhưng nếu đã dành cho máy có cấu hình thấp thì nên cài đặt bằng Alternate CD của XUbuntu.

Nếu bạn đam mê âm nhạc đồ hoạ hoặc biên tập phim thì Ubuntu Studio chứa tất cả những thứ bạn cần với giao diện rất chuyên nghiệp. Đặc biệt có Kernel dành riêng cho Ubuntu Studio.

Algumas mudanças fantásticas foram incrementadas nessa nova versão deixando este maravilhoso Sistema Operacional ainda melhor.

So you want to try Linux. You heard Ubuntu finally made an easy to use and install version of Linux.

My advice? Do it.

First word of caution: Linux has come a long way, but it is still young.

Second word of caution: If you are not willing to lose your old operation system, you might still want to sit this one out. It is very possible to create a dual-boot machine, and install Ubuntu on your machine without damaging your current installation of windows (or whatever you have), but there are not guarantees whatsoever.

So, you feeling a little experimental, don’t have much to lose on your system and finally want to try a free operating system? Navigate to this link, and choose one of the first two downloads. The first download ( PC (Intel x86) desktop CD ) is for most users, and if you have a 64-bit machine, use the other ( 64-bit PC (AMD64) desktop CD )

Some quick notes?

• I installed version 6.06 of Ubuntu, and found it adequate and in some respects better than my Windows machine.

• One of the best features is a full catalog of free software. You actually choose these titles from a list of EVERYTHING available. There are games, applications, utilities and nearly any application on any other system has a brother or sister which does the same thing on Linux, but without any price tag (and legally free, not pirated).

• The newest version of Ubuntu – 7.10 is faster. I installed it on the same exact machine as I installed Ubuntu 6.06 and boot up and load time was faster, menu response was quicker, I could run more applications at the same time, and the newer version automatically supported my video card more efficiently. High definition video could run full screen with no lag whatsoever, and the audio did not skip.

• Ubuntu 7.10 now offers to help you find “non-free” support for video and audio. Normally, the Linux will not come with any support for file formats (such as “mp3″) which are commercially bound to someone. In the case of “mp3″ – this is a format which is owned by a corporation, and is not public domain. The spirit of the Linux community revolves around open source and open licensed software. This latest version of Ubuntu does not come with support for “mp3″ installed either. However, the first time you attempt to play an “mp3″ file, your media player will ask if you want to search for one – and sure enough it will find it. The same goes for dvd, avi, divx and a host of other “closed” formats. The world of media just became easier to access on a Linux based machine.
