Toby Keith over the years has been the biggest supporter of Ford, especially with the F-150. We found two.

Kacie and Seagrams

First, some background. Kay and I have spent about three weeks and untold number of plane tickets talking to breeders, pet stores and veterinarians, mostly in Florida since that’s where most of them are. Finding another Red Lored Amazon parrot was proving to be a bigger task than I’d imagined. There aren’t that many breeding pairs. Anywhere.

Pet Pals

Enter Larry Zaineb of Pet Pals in Clinton Township. Larry saw the article in The Detroit News written by my good friend Neal Rubin. Larry made it his mission to find us a Red Lored Amazon. He had to do some fast talking and negotiating with a breeder, but he secured Cayenne.

Larry and my wife met some 15 years ago when Kay was a paramedic. He remembered that we also once had a cockatoo named Casey. If we were interested, he knew of another one that was available.

Long story short, we now have two baby birds. Cayenne, the Red Lored Amazon. And Kacie or Kacee or Kaycee – we still haven’t decided- the Eleanora Cockatoo.  Cayenne’s male. Kacie is female. And we’re going to let YOU decide how to spell the cockatoo’s name.

We still have our Sun Conure, Marley, and our Red Mitred Conure, Seagrams.

So, with four parrots, it’s a busy house. None can replace Pepper, but we’re happy, again.

For what it’s worth, other stars cheat, too. Martina McBride says the National Anthem is too important to screw up, so she always has the lyrics handy should she need them.

This isn’t the first time Luke has had to defend himself.  His tour mate, Jason Aldean revealed in an interview with US99.5 that Luke Bryan has a secret tattoo.

Emily Maynard - who split with two-time loser Brad Womack is back for more pain and torture love and romance. And, for the first time ever, The Bachelorette is shot in Emily’s North Carolina hometown. Though they managed to find a mansion that looks very similar to the one they use in California.

The can’t-miss first episode airs Monday night at 9:30ET. It’s can’t-miss because of the cheesiest introductions ever. Remember the days when the bachelors just said “hello,” got a hug and walked into the mansion? No more.

• One guy shows up carrying an ostrich egg
• Tony, a single father from Oregon, presents Emily with a letter his son wrote to her
• Another guy greets Emily with a glass slipper on a pillow and Emily utters the unintended funniest line of the night. Listen closely or you’ll miss it.
• A biology teacher opens with a cheesy pickup line involving “chemistry.”
• One bachelor arrives on a skateboard.. BUT that’s not the most unique entrance of the evening. The last one is really over-the-top. So much that it gets some of the other guys really mad. Yes, the catfights between the guys start right off the bat.

You’ll probably have a favorite early on in the season. There’s an NFL player, a singer-songwriter, the owner of a bottled-water company and a guy with a titanium plate in his head.

• Redemption Island is gone for this season
• Hidden immunity idols, if found, cannot be used by the finder but must be given to a member of the other tribe.
• More do-it-yourself challenges where tribes have to figure out what the game is for themselves.

Now, for your Week Five Recap

• As predicted right here, Colton was medevac’d off the show due to an appendicitis attack. He was flown out and required surgery.
• The reward challenge appears to be beer pong. But on a larger scale with coconuts and without beer.  Contestants stand on a platform and bounce coconuts off of mini-trampolines in the hopes of hitting targets.  The Salani tribe wins this one.
• Colton didn’t give his immunity idol to anyone and took it with him. Hence the phrase, “Thanks for the souvenir.”
• One spoiler who’s been correct – up until this week, that is – has made his pick for the winner:
