Who remembers their fave TV characters as a child?  Mine included The Flumps, Dr Snuggles, Button Moon, Wuzzles aaah the list could go on lol!  Gummi Bears and Dungeons & Dragons were fab too!

These days kids tv characters are on a whole new level.  Now they each have a vast array of merchandise available which the kids love!  And I know as a parent Im guilty of buying little bits and pieces purely because I know my little Fireman Sam fan would love it as it has Fireman Sam on and for that reason alone!

We have a small range of Character gifts at Rainbow Totz which we hope to increase over time, as well as our fab range of kids pyjamas including Thomas the Tank Engine Dressing Gown and Dora the Explorer pyjamas.  I have to say my little boys fave are his own pair of Fireman Sam pyjamas!  Seem to be on him constantly!

If your looking for kids character stuff for their bedrooms or for school.  Characters 4 Kids is definitely worth a visit!  I can highly recommend them as a past customer myself.  Lots of fab ideas for birthday gifts too.  Also if your looking for party supplies featuring your childs favourite character how about visiting Party Sprite?  They have all you need for the perfect kids party.

It will soon be time for me to start thinking about birthdays again.  My nephew will be 4 next week and Kaden will be 4 in August so I had better make sure Im up to date with the latest character of choice or I could be in trouble!

I still think our characters from the good old days were the best though!  What do you think?? :0)

“Wow, the internet isn’t just for porn and downloading music!”, I always think to myself whenever I find something genuinely useful online, like pictures of deep ocean fish, tips on how to bleach non-white fabrics, and information on the Thai GDP.

Last night I found two TV shows that I loved as a child online: Dr. Snuggles, and the movie Watership Down. I thought I would never see those shows again, since they’ve gone off the air, and they would remain weird memories in my mind forever. But I found them online last night and stayed up until 4 am watching them. Holy shit, children’s television is weird — are all the writers on drugs, or something?

Dr. Snuggles has a character who lives underwater in the Lobsterscape and uses a manta ray as a bedsheet. How great is that?

… ja damals, da gab es so viel. Jetzt gibt es zwar noch viel mehr, aber die emotionale Erinnerung macht unser Kinderdamals besonders.

Ich mach mal den Anfang mit den Fraggles:

Ich habe davon nur einige Folgen gesehen, aber als ich grad den Vorspan sah, konnte ich mich wieder an vieles erinnern. Nur das ganze Gesinge hatte ich verdrängt.

Was ich dagegen noch gut im Ohr habe ist der Anfang von Dr. Snuggles. Davon hab ich bestimmt jetzt noch wilde Träume.

Worum ging es da eigentlich? Der wollte mit der Rakete weg. Aber wieso? Aufgrund seines Doktortitels?

Hauptsache ne Serie mit ggles am Ende.
