End of Year Look

I predict this to be my last post of the year and I’m feeling a little melancholy about the year that’s past, but optimistic about the year yet to come. It’s been a little crazy and I’m not going to be sorry to see it behind me.

Tonight I’m feeling snuggly in a nice warm cardigan from CheerNo in pink. I love jeans, but there has to be something special about them to get me to part with Lindens. These from Gbbrish with the tiger on make me happy.

I hung out at The Velvet tonight to listen to Lux Yao, Astrud Sands, and Niko Lyle playing their top songs of 2009. My free tousled hair from booN and House of Curios glasses made me feel quite indie indeed as I brooded on a stained old couch.

He slowly approached her, not making his presence known. There she was again, with her nose buried in some thick, old book. So typically, Hermione Granger. He took quiet steps towards her, not wanting to alarm her. He didn’t need another round of arguing, not tonight. He was going to end this.

Hermione didn’t even felt him come up to her. The library was empty as always, since it was way past curfew, so she never saw it coming. Her concentration quickly vanished as she felt someone near her desk. As she looked up carefully, alarmed, her chest couldn’t help but feel constricted when her eyes fell on this uptight form. Yes, he was tense, although he was trying to shake it off, hide it, she knew him far too well to be fooled like that. Malfoy was up to something.

She didn’t make any move whatsoever to initiate a conversation. Hermione simply waited patiently for him to make a move. She never knew what to expect, since he was a very hard person to read.
Draco stared at her as trying to decipher what was going through her mind. He couldn’t help but gaze at her face, her lips – the lips he so desperately wanted to kiss, to feel.

Bloody hell, he was getting worked up again. Ok, Draco focus, focus.

“We need to talk, Granger.”

His voice was ice cold. She suppressed the urge to shiver as his words cut through her ears, like a razor cuts through skin. Hermione had no desire to talk to him. She felt too much when around him, talking. He took too much out of her. She was, so so, tired.

When she didn’t reply, Draco merely stiffened his composure. Grabbing the bothersome book from her hands, he tossed it aside, waiting for her to give him some worthy attention.

“Hey! I was reading that!” she complained, now getting angry.

Her childish reaction made him roll his eyes, before he continued:

“Look, Granger. I’ll be simple and direct, so you better listen to me.”

Hermione looked back at him, her eyes defying his words. Who the hell did he think he was? Her back straighten as she waited for him to continue.

“This. This thing we have. This bloody charade we’ve gotten ourselves into is not working – is not going to work.” he told her, calmly and aggressively, the way he always dealt with his problems. Well, most of the time.

Hermione said nothing as she kept looking at Draco. He had a very serious expression on his face, like he was trying very hard to control the words and actions that left his body. When he said nothing else, she quickly made her move to get up. Just get up and walk away. She didn’t need this now. Not now.

“Granger, what the hell are you doing?” Draco asked when she made it clear she intend to leave.

“I don’t need to hear this crap from you, Malfoy. I don’t need you to act all mature. Not now, not never. So, if you excuse me, I have to go to bed.”

Hermione tried to get pass him, but was hastily captured by the iron grip of his hand, on her arm. She was quickly spun around, forced to face him again.

“I’m sorry to disagree with you, Granger. You will hear what I have to say, like it or not.” Draco hissed at her, his grip around her arm tightening.

“Get your fucking hand off me, Malfoy!” she snarled. Hermione was really getting tired of all these foolish games they would always end up playing.

“No.”

She sighed in annoyance as he kept a firm grip on her arm, slightly hurting her. She was almost about to snap.

“Now you listen and you listen well, Granger. I’m tired. I’m bloody tired of this, this crap as you called it. I’m sick of it, actually. Fucking, sick of it. And you, Granger? You go on, acting, pretending that nothing is happening. Lying to all your precious little friends, masking what you are truly feeling. Lying to your ridiculous excuse for a boyfriend about where you’ve been at night. And you want to know why, Granger? Why you try so hard to keep your worthless charade?”

“How dare you!?”

Hermione was simply outraged. How dared he judge her like that? He was actually calling her a liar. Him, Draco Malfoy, was calling her a liar? How dared he?

“I asked you a fucking question, Granger!” Draco was just as angry as she was.

“No, Malfoy! I have absolutely no idea! Please, enlighten me!” sarcasm dripped from every syllable she pronounced to his face.

Draco’s patience was rapidly fading. The damn girl was pushing him too far.

“Because you’re scared, Granger. You’re not as though as you say you are; as I thought you were. You’re weak. You’re so scared to hurt your perfect boyfriend; your bosom buddies. The same buddies that stand you up each night, when you ask them out. The same buddies that copy around your notes, without even a simple ‘thank-you’. The same buddies that you care so much about, that don’t give a crap about what you feel or what you want!”

“Shut up, Malfoy! How can you possibly know anything about my friends, or Ron for that matter? Who the hell do you think you are, to make those accusations?” Hermione wasn’t letting him do this. He wasn’t going to let him have the upper hand. She wasn’t.

“Are you deaf, blind, dumb? What do you think is been going on for the past few months? I know you, Granger. I got under your skin. I know what makes you tick. I’m a fast learner, Granger, and for the small time I’ve actually got to know you, I observed. I watched. I learned. I know you, Hermione Granger.”

Draco’s calm was returning to him, his self-control kept in check. He didn’t want to lose control around, not yet. He would end this, tonight.

“Merlin, Malfoy. You’ve not changed at all, did you? Always the same old song, trying to analyze my every flaw to justify my every behavior. If I’m that bloody imperfect, why turn to me in the first place?”

“Believe me; I didn’t want to turn to you, Mudblood.”

He strolled down the dark and empty corridors of Hogwarts, as determination set the pace of his loud footsteps. His immaculate robes hang of him like some kind of super-hero cape, making his posture even more menacing. He had a fearless look, for someone who was about to get his heart torn apart and as he made around the corner, his demeanor never ceased.

Draco was going to end this.

Tonight.

His pace grew faster, so as his heartbeat rate. He knew exactly where she would be and how to find her. Hell, he knew her better than anyone else. He knew her. He fucking knew her. And that’s why he was doing this tonight. He didn’t want to know her; didn’t want his heart to long for her. Or his body, for that matter.

He didn’t ask for this, any of this. This feeling. This fucking confusing feeling that was growing towards her, towards that selfish bitch that only toyed around with him. She had messed with him in the worst way possible, making him forget completely who he was. Making him feel. Draco had one policy when it came to girls: shag and dump. They would come to him, willingly and he would prove them right. Once or twice he would go to them. We would go to them and win them and shag them.

Not with her though.

Maybe he was the one that had been stupid in the first place. He was the one that went to her. It was his fucking fault. His entire fault, when he’d told her, face first “I want you”. After all the fights and insults, all that not knowing what the bloody hell was going on with him. Yeah, after all that, realization hit like a bomb: he wanted her. He felt something. And after that, his world came crashing downward. His perfect, calculated world turned upside down.

He wished her dead. For a while, he had wished her dead. Wished her dead when he had the urge to kiss her, touch her, feel her. Anything. Every time she crossed his mind, he felt this uncontrollable rage, just waiting to leak out and unleash itself on her. Pounce on her like a wild animal and rip her apart, inside out. Shag her senseless and kill her afterwards. That’s what he felt when she was near him, annoying him with her mere presence. And fuck, he just couldn’t keep his eyes off her. He just couldn’t. Draco was drawn to her, like a fish when captured by the fisherman. She was pulling him towards her, even when she yelled weak, idiotic profanities at him.

Yes, she was weak. She was beneath him; dirty, pathetic. She wasn’t even that beautiful, with her bushy hair and plain face. So why was he so intrigued by her? What made her that fucking special? What made her different from all the other girls? What gave her the power to make him feel?

Draco growled as all these untamed thoughts bounced freely around his head, making him almost run through those dark halls. He would find her tonight. He would find her and he would end this. He would fucking end this.

Permanently.

A pesar de su anuncio sobre su retiro definitivo de las pantallas, parece que el actor Sean Connery lo único que hizo fue buscar otros campos que explotar. Por lo pronto, se dio a conocer que estará trabajando en la animación Sir Billy the Vet, producción escocesa que, si bien se comenzó a producir en el 2006, es hasta ahora que se está concluyendo. Si bien es la primera vez que encarnará a un personaje animado, no es la primera ocasión en que presta su voz para un proyecto cinematográfico. Seguramente todos lo recordamos en su caracterización de Draco en Corazón de Dragón.

I keep thinking that there needs to be a whole sim dedicated to Xanadu. You know, that old 80s trainwreck with Olivia Newton-John? I can’t help it. I love it. It’s so fabulous and horrid all at the same time. I used to sail around on my skates with ribbons in my hair pretending to be a muse. Today, Lauren, Amy, and Emily all made a new big huge blog under the name AGLTProductions and then attached mini-blogs. This is my, Amy’s, mini-blog. The name is “malfoydraco” because plain old “dracomalfoy” was taken.

Lauren, Emily, and I decided to make a huge blog to go with our Youtube account, AGLTProductions. We also wanted to have just a blog to write stuff on.

Some things I like are playing video games, reading, cosplaying, and being on the computer. Some of my favorite books are the Harry Potter series, which was obvious from my username. My favorite characters are Draco Malfoy (again, obviously) and Luna Lovegood, but I also like the Weasley family and Harry.

I don’t really know what else to type in this post, so I won’t type anything more.

A Big Freaking Deal

Krzysztof Nalepka, a StarCraft Protoss player from Poland most commonly known by the alias Draco, has set up a LiveStream channel through which his matches on iCCup for the ASL (Ansadi StarLeague) are broadcast live. While not broadcasting live matches, Draco appears to rebroadcast recordings of some of his recent matches as well as VODs of his past games; I saw on the stream earlier tonight his infamous WCG 2006 match with Midas.

Draco played in Korea for the team OnGameNet Sparkyz, now hite SPARKYZ, in 2006 and 2007. In 2008, during a retirement he vehemently upheld he remained in the midst of, he placed second in the Razer TSL (TeamLiquid StarLeague). There are other accomplishments which make him stand out as one of the top longstanding non-Korean players in the StarCraft fandom, but I can’t expound because I never paid as much attention to Draco as I probably should have.

The aforementioned stream, DracoTV, can be seen here. Alternatively, it can be watched directly on LiveStream’s website. Draco’s iCCup account as of the posting of this article is ASL-Draco.O.

On a not entirely unrelated matter, TeamLiquid last year uploaded all of the Razer TSL replays from the top ranking participating players, including Draco’s. VODs of the final matches with English commentary, again including matches in which Draco played, are also available via TeamLiquid.

On an entirely unrelated matter, I’ve nearly finished the second week in Cross†Channel.

It's all about details.

Finally fall is in the air with a slight nip and leaves are preparing to change colors, bringing out the dramatic oranges and golds that make it my favorite season. Spring and Fall, those are my favorite seasons because of how unpredictable they are. They are the chaotic seasons in which change is coming and anticipation is building for winter or summer holidays. I just love things in flux.

This is also how I enjoy fashion. I like it mixed up a bit. I like the uniform cardi with the skull belt on the cords. I love the military cuff watch and the subversive pintucked preppy shirt layered under the herringbone corset. I love the half-rim glasses with the leopard print loungers. But most of all, I just love fashion.

nota: un pequeño fic sobre Hermione y Draco, no juntos pero como amigos. Al principio se suponía que era un one-shot pero la cosa se alargó mucho y dio para más. Esperad muchos diálogos es lo que mejor se me da. Por cierto, este lo rescaté de una maleta vieja y me puse a remodelarlo.

Sobre el timeline:

Siempre he escrito mis fics sin tener en cuanta los 2, 3 últimos libros. Bueno, el quinto a veces. La mayor parte de mis fics ahora son considerados AUs porque simplemente no me gusta la manera en que Rowling los expuso (no digo que yo sea mejor, sólo que me gusta más mi versión). Así que quedáis avisados.

Draco Malfoy odiaba a los Muggles. Odiaba todo u cada cosa que tenía que ver con ellos. No podía ni ver a los medio-Muggles o Muggleborns sin maldecir.

Pero Hermione Granger era alguien diferente. No es que la quisiera, ni mucho menos, aunque hubiese nacido sangre-pura, no pegaban ni con cola. No, no era esa la raíz del problema. El problema era que Hermione Granger se había convertido en su amiga.

Sexto año…

“Que tú y la sangre-sucia ¡¿qué?!” había gritado Blaise al enterarse de la noticia.

“Baja la voz idiota, ¿quieres que todo Slytherin se entere?”

No había nadie en los dormitorios ahora, por eso Draco había escogido este momento y lugar para comentarlo a su amigo, pero de todos modos había que tomar precauciones.

“No es la gran cosa, sólo… nos hemos puesto a hablar y me ha parecido una chica inteligente.”

“Siempre te ha parecido una chica inteligente. Todos sabemos lo sabe-lo-todo que es. Y ya me has contado demasiadas veces lo mucho que la admiras…”

Malfoy enrojeció. No le extrañaba que su amigo estuviera preocupado. Parecía un loco enamorado.

“¿Qué dirá tu padre?”

Malfoy suspiró. “Granger es mi amiga, no mi novia. A ti tampoco te conoce de nada.”

“Ni falta que me hace conocer al Vampiro Lord de los Malfoys.

“Eh, puede que sea un cabrón y eso, pero es mi padre.”

“Fuiste tú el que lo llamó eso en tercero.”

“Ah, ¿sí?”

Tercer año…

“¿Por qué molestas tanto a Granger?”

“Por qué… ¿cómo que por qué? Porque es una sangre-sucia, supongo. ¿No te parece razón suficiente?”

“¿A ti?”

La joven Ravenclaw con la que había estado esperando salir se alejo rápidamente por el pasillo, muy, muy enfadada.

“Eh, ¡espera! ¿Y lo de nuestro cita?” gritó Draco tras ella.

“Yo no salgo con racistas,” le respondió la chica sin voltearse.

Esa noche al entrar en el dormitorio, Blaise se había fijado en su cara y había corrido a su lado.

“¿Qué te ha pasado? ¿No tenías una cita?” Y además llevas una cara…”

“Esa hija de puta me ha llamado racista. Racista.”

Blaise se quedó un poco desconcertado y siguió a Draco hasta su habitación.

“¿De qué hablas?”

“De la tía ésa que me presentaste. Amy no-sé-qué.”

“Ah, sí. ¿Qué tiene?”

“Se ha puesto como una loca a preguntarme cosas raras, como que porqué molesto a Granger y cuando le dije que porque era una sangre-sucia. ¡Me ha llamado un racista!”

Blaise puso los ojos en blanco. “Normal, tío. ¿Cómo quieres que te llame?”

“Eso no es ser racista, eso es…” Draco se quedó callado un momento.

“Ya, claro. Y ¿por qué no le dijiste la verdad?”

“¿Qué? ¿De que todo es culpa del vampiro Lord de los Malfoys y que verdaderamente no odio a Granger y sólo estoy un poco celoso de ella?”

“Eh, sí, creo. ¿Vampiro Lord de los Malfoys?”

“Es lo que parece, hombre.”

Los pensamientos de Malfoy volvieron al presente y le sonrió a Blaise.

“Bueno, vale, lo llamé eso. De todos modos el punto es que no se lo voy a decir a mí padre. Ya me imagino la masacre que eso sería.”

“Aja. Pues… si tú lo dices… sigo creyendo que estás loco. Siempre has dicho que aparte de su súper-cerebro-admirado te caía mal, que era arrogante…”

“Lo es. Pero también es muy buena amiga. Y tiene un buenísimo sentido del humor. Puro sarcasmo.”

Polícia tira Bonde do Jura dos trilhos

“Não esquece de colocar aí que eu sou o Jura”. Essas foram as palavras ditas pelo cabo da Polícia Militar Juracy Alves Prudêncio, o Jura, 37 anos, ao chegar à sede da Delegacia de Repressão às Ações do Crime Organizado e Inquéritos Especiais (Draco-IE), na manhã desta quinta-feira, dia 27. Preso em casa, em Queimados, na Baixada Fluminense, por uma equipe da 3ª Delegacia de Polícia Judiciária Militar (3ª DPJM), ele possuía um mandado de prisão preventiva expedido pela 2ª Vara Criminal de Nova Iguaçu por formação de quadrilha armada.

Lotado no 21º BPM (São João de Meriti), ele é apontado pela Polícia como líder da milícia conhecida como “Bonde do Jura” – que tem atuação nos municípios de Duque de Caxias, Nova Iguaçu, São João de Meriti, Nilópolis, Belford Roxo, Queimados e Mesquita. Na operação conjunta entre Draco e 3ª DPJM – batizada como “Descarrilamento” – outras oito pessoas foram presas: seis também eram PMs. A ação, que teve início às 4 horas, durou cerca de sete horas e percorreu toda a Baixada Fluminense.

Segundo a Polícia, o poder do grupo paramilitar não se reflete apenas no número de homicídios praticados pelo grupo na região – aproximadamente 100 vítimas em quatro anos –, mas também na relação promíscua entre o crime e a política.

Segundo candidato a vereador mais votado em Nova Iguaçu nas últimas eleições, Jura já esteve cedido à Assembléia Legislativa do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Alerj), onde trabalhou durante dois anos na segurança do deputado estadual Walney Rocha, que atualmente está ocupando o cargo de secretário de Obras de Nova Iguaçu. Ainda de acordo com a Polícia, o preso estaria recebendo apoio do deputado federal Nelson Bornier para se candidatar a deputado estadual, com o intuito de conquistar a imunidade parlamentar, para não responder na Justiça Comum pelos crimes praticados.

“Ele ficou à disposição do meu gabinete durante dois anos. Sempre foi correto comigo e nunca o vi fazendo nada de suspeito. Essa denúncia de envolvimento dele com uma milícia me causou estranheza e até me chateia o fato de que a própria PM é falha. Como pode a inteligência da corporação enviar um policial investigado para cuidar da segurança de um deputado?”, questionou Walney.

“Pedimos a ficha do policial e confiamos no que está no papel. É uma pessoa que fica perto da nossa família. Mas se o governador não sabia, como um deputado pode saber?”, ressaltou, referindo-se à prisão em flagrante do cabo da PM Emerson Meirelles, no último sábado. Lotado na Diretoria Geral de Pessoal (DGP), estava cedido ao Gabinete Militar do Palácio Guanabara e era um dos responsáveis pela segurança da família de Sérgio Cabral Filho. Ele foi acusado de integrar uma milícia que atua na Zona Oeste do Rio e de cometer uma chacina na Ilha de Guaratiba.

Em 2004, pela coligação Aliança Popular do Trabalho (PPS/PRTB), Jura teve apenas 726 votos. No entanto, quatro anos depois, pelo PRP, foi o segundo candidato a vereador mais votado: obteve 9.335 votos, mas não foi eleito porque a Justiça impugnou três candidatos de sua legenda. Ele ficou atrás somente de Carlos Eduardo Moreira da Silva (DEM), com 178 votos a menos. A equipe do Jornal POVO do Rio entrou em contato com a assessoria de imprensa do deputado federal Nelson Bornier mas, até o fechamento desta edição, nenhuma resposta foi enviada.

Investigações feitas não só pela Draco e pela Corregedoria da PM, mas também pela Polícia Federal, demonstraram que, quando não estava fazendo campanha política, Jura estava tentando convencer outros grupos menores a se juntarem a ele. Os que não aceitavam, eram eliminados.

“Ele eliminou os grupos pequenos que não queriam permitir a presença avassaladora dele. O lema era: “é oposição, fogo neles””, destacou o inspetor Jorge Gerhard, chefe da Inteligência da Draco, revelando que na última segunda-feira houve uma troca de tiros por disputa de território, em Nova Iguaçu.

O delegado Alexandre Capote informou que o PM – juntamente com Ubiraci Araújo da Fonseca, o Bira, que continuava foragido, até a noite de ontem – foi denunciado por tentativa de homicídio pela 4ª Vara Criminal de Nova Iguaçu. A vítima foi Josias Faustino Rodrigues, o Nino, que faria parte da milícia conhecida como “Grupo do Pará”, que atua em Comendador Soares, bairro de Nova Iguaçu. O líder dessa quadrilha, Carlos Alberto Ezequiel, o Pará, foi assassinado, em 2007.

“Ele foi denunciado por essa tentativa de homicídio e é investigado pelo assassinato de Pará. Além de informações chegadas através do Disque-Denúncia, também temos vários relatos de testemunhas afirmando que o Jura abordava outros milicianos. Um dos grupos que aceitou era muito ligado ao Batman e aproximou os dois”, declarou Capote.

A aproximação com o ex-PM Ricardo Teixeira da Cruz, o Batman, 40, – feita pela Milícia do Pantanal – fez com que o Bonde do Jura se tornasse aliado da Liga da Justiça.

“Um grupo oferecia esconderijo para outro, quando havia integrantes fugindo da Polícia e também havia empréstimo e troca de armas, além de apoio nas eleições”, ressaltou o delegado.

Os policiais saíram pra cumprir 14 mandados de prisão e 16 de busca e apreensão. Todos foram expedidos pela 2ª Vara Criminal de Nova Iguaçu. Todos os nove detidos na ação desta quinta-feira já estão denunciados pela Justiça por formação de quadrilha armada. Além de Jura, outro PM, conhecido como Cabral, vinha ameaçando de morte integrantes da 3ª DPJM e o delegado da PF Robson Dartagnan Nunes Barbosa. Até o mês passado, ele chefiava Delegacia da Polícia Federal de Nova Iguaçu, mas foi transferido para Pernambuco, para ser Delegado Regional Executivo da Superintendência da Polícia Federal naquele estado.

Na Rua Fernando Borges, no bairro Palhada, em Nova Iguaçu, agentes da Draco chegaram até a casa de Bira, que seria o responsável pela segurança clandestina. Ele foi denunciado, juntamente com Jura, pela tentativa de homicídio contra Nino – integrante do Grupo do Pará, que se recusou a integrar o Bonde do Jura.

Os outros presos na operação Descarrilamento foram: Daniel de Lima Machado, o Cabeça, 28; Wilson Pereira Júnior, o Didi, 47; os soldados Eduardo Cardoso Livramento, o Dudu, 28, e Marcelo Anderson de Moraes Loureiro, o Trololó, 34, ambos lotados no 3º BPM (Méier); o soldado César Sisnande dos Santos, o Chorrão, 32, lotado no 39º BPM (Belford Roxo); os cabos André Barbosa Cabral, o Cabral, 37, e Antônio Marcos do Carmo Peixoto, o Peixoto, 31, lotados, respectivamente, no 6º BPM (Tijuca) e no 1º BPM (Estácio); e o sargento Sérgio Pereira Reis, 46. Este último está lotado no 20º BPM (Mesquita), mas se encontra de Licença para Tratamento de Saúde (LTS), desde fevereiro, quando foi alvo de uma tentativa de homicídio e acabou baleado no momento em que saía de casa, no bairro de Austin, em Nova Iguaçu.

Os cinco foragidos – sendo que um é ex-policial militar e dois são PMs – são: Ubiraci Araújo da Fonseca, o Bira; Washington das Neves Mello; os PMs Flávio Cândido da Silva e Marcos de Paula Toledo, lotado no 21º BPM; e o ex-PM José Carlos Valle da Silva, o Valle – que era lotado no 23º BPM (Leblon), até abril deste ano, quando foi expulso da corporação, acusado de envolvimento com transporte alternativo.
