This blogging thing has gotten quite a bit larger then I ever thought it would. While I had hoped it would get big I always thought I was being foolish. I am now averaging about 10 hits per day, and spiked a bit back with a solid 50 for a few days. While this doesn’t sound like much, it is big for me. I went from having absolutely zero views for the longest time to now having a fair amount. I would just like to thank everyone who reads all this stuff I post because it means a lot to me.

JODY: As a personality, I’m a Jungian nightmare. I’m identified with the Great Mother archetype in the form of the Hindu goddess Kali, to the point where I even act it out in drag. This would also be considered anima possession by some.

Fortunately, my Jungian therapist knows that this is exactly where “I” need to be, this being part of my role to play in the Lila this life.

However, that’s not to say that I’d *ever* recommend it to anyone else. There’s something quite insane about it, and it can get kind of scary too.

It was sort of like being blasted by a psychic nuke, and then picking up the pieces of a shattered ego.

Thankfully, it didn’t kill me. Therefore I am stronger. This is the way Ma has worked in my life.

That’s right, Mr Guru-Buster Guruphiliac Jody Radzik was so obsessed (some could argue “possessed” or “mentally unstable”) with Kali, he actually dressed in drag to enact his love for the Goddess!

As of later today (because I need to figure everything out about the program) I will be writing for another blog. This does not mean that I will abandon this blog, as I will continue to write for it, but there there will be another place to look for my posts. This is another gaming blog, but it has evolved further than mine and has multiple writers. I will link my posts from that website to here, or rather just post them here as well. The gaming posts are what I will mainly post on the new website (I don’t say the name because I can’t hyperlink on my iTouch. I’ll make another post later telling the name and giving a link.) as I doubt the intended audience of that website would be very interested in my personal life. That is my big news for today, and I will post updates on how this goes. Who knows, this could get huge or just give me a hit or two, regardless I plan on sticking with it.

For reasons unexplained, women police officers were not given the opportunity, and the men were selected for short stature and martial arts expertise.

It’s that time of year again when people forgo their usual sarcasms and recognize the good things in life. I know there is a lot to be sarcastic about these days and, if you watch entertainment news or The Soup, you know what I’m talking about. But there are many things to be thankful for such as good music. So, here are ten things that I’m thankful for (all music related of course): 

10. Drum Off 09: I’m thankful that there are corporations such as Guitar Center that still the value quality music, hosting events like this featuring the best drummers like Danny Carey from Tool and Brian Dailor from Mastodon.

9. Webcasts: I’m thankful for webcasts that bring festivals like Coachella and KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas to my computer every year when I can’t be there in person.

8. The Beastie Boys, Vandals, and The Aquabats: I’m thankful that there are really talented musicians who resist the urge to take themselves seriously.

7. Natasha Khan from Bat for Lashes: I’m thankful this rising star thinks the Karate Kid and Stevie Nicks are important cultural icons.

6. Insanely unique musicians: I’m thankful for musicians such as Maynard James Keenan, Tori Amos, Bjork and Mike Patton, who all take music to places no one ever imagined or expected.

5. NIN farewell tour: I’m thankful that I finally got to see NIN live before Trent Reznor retired it.

4. Deftones’ resilliance: I’m thankful that Chi Cheng is still holding on and maybe someday we’ll get to see him play again.

3. The Cure still rocks: I’m thankful this band is still touring and making great music. Without The Cure, Deftones and Muse would never sound the way they do.

I’ve been listening to this band for a while now and I am surprised that they are not as big in the states as they are everywhere else. Since the first time that I heard their cover of Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill,” I was hooked. I enthusiastically suggest anything from their 2006 album Meds, but you must hear “Lazarus” and “Drag.” They recently released a new album Battle for the Sun and I am loving “The Never-Ending Why.” I saw them live at Coachella and I highly recommend catching them live. However, this band will be on a World tour until March. Hopefully, these Brits will visit the states soon.

The winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race has finally released her first single and it’s filled with attitude. It’s called “I’m The Shit” and the video is diva-tastic, to say the least. We haven’t heard the original version of the song, so we can’t judge. But. it’s dance-able and will probably get a few great remixes.

And it has returned on this mild Monday morning. After an experiance this weekend I have realized how important it is to know how to operate both Command Prompt in Windows and Terminal in Apple. That knowledge has decreased in importance as computers have become more mainstream. There is no longer a need to type in lines of code to start a computer, or to launch a simple program. With computers of today we do that with a simple push or a single click. The language used in both Command Prompt and Terminal seems to be dieing out, or rather, the knowledge of how to use the language. With a new generation of computer nerds coming up the older people, those who have the knowledge of how to type code, are being replaced. The new generation does not learn how to operate Command Prompt or Terminal, but it is still incredibly important to know. Those are simply my views on the topic posted from a 20 minute bus ride. I could be wrong, or I could be unfortunately be correct. If I am correct then there would need to be a changed interface. But for now there is no real problem, only the start of one.

Our Town or The All Nude Midget Review In Drag.

A comedy of errors, absurdities, hallucinations and play writing.

The setup: J is a writer who has been commissioned to write a play.  That play is several weeks past due.  G and S are his roommates.  The following scene takes place in a rather spacious kitchen.  Jane is the audience plant.

G: Hey what’s going on?

J: Nothing.

S [still laughing]:  Our Swedish friend has to finish his play by today and he hasn’t even started yet [continues laughing]

G: Dude!

J: Yeah.

G: [looks thoughtfully before making elaborate breakfast preparations] Well if you want my help, I have a great idea.

J: Hit me.

G: All right.  Three words: Midgets in Drag, All Nude.

J: What?

G: Midgets. In Drag.  All. Nude.

S:  How can they be nude and still . . . you know what never mind [exits]

J: Yeah how can they be nude and in drag?

G: No, No, no.  You aren’t understanding me.  Midgets

J: Yeah

G: In drag.

J: OK, I’m with you.

G: All Nude

J: Lost me.

G: Okay [grabs spray bottle] . . . Okay here you have a midget in drag [unscrews top] All nude.

J: [sits thoughtfully] But how can they be in drag and all nude?

G: You do still not understand what I am saying. [Performs bottle trick again] All nude.

[J. looks at water bottle thoughtfully setting it down still looking confused]

G: Alright [pauses and then grabs Jane out of audience and brings her to stage.  G. points at Jane speaks at Jason] Midget in drag.

J: All right. [Phone begins to ring, but J. and G. ignore]

G: All nude. [Jane begins to strip, music starts, slow funk]

[S. enters as soon as Jane is down to her undergarments]

S: [when S. begins speaking Jane stops stripping] Why is there a woman doing a strip tease in our kitchen at 8 in the morning?

G: What are you talking about? [Jane begins putting on her clothes and takes a seat by the kitchen counter]

S: That woman right there . . . never mind.   Did you guys hear the phone ring?

[J & G look up confused.]

S:  I have date.

[Dance number]

J: Awesome.

G: Totally, did she call after midnight?

S: What:

G: Did she call–

S. [interrupts] No, I heard you, I was just wondering why you would ask if she called after midnight.

G: Booty Call!

S: What?

J: Yeah anytime a girl calls after midnight, its a booty call.

S: She called me at 8am.

G: Booty Call.

S: We’re meeting for lunch.

G. + J: Booty Call!

S: Fine [S. exits, Jane gets up and makes coffee]

Idag var en stor dag i Bjälkatorp.

Vi har tränat med hundarna sedan i mitten på september, och det går framåt hela tiden, men det finns ett “magiskt” mått som vi inte uppnått ännu: den första milen. Idag nådde vi detta mål, och körde Visko, Tiwas och Milou 10 km. Vi stannade två gånger för vattning och vila, och fick tyvärr göra ett lite längre stopp för att backa ner bilen från vår vanliga träningsbacke, eftersom en avverkningsmaskin kört där och det var för gyttjigt för att ta sig vidare. Oavsett vilket, är vi mycket nöjda med dagens träningspass. Hundarna skötte sig mycket bra, även om “helt om”-vändningarna inte är klockrena ännu. Det har varit sträckta linor hela tiden, och inget fuskande från någon av dem. Vi är mycket nöjda. (Jo, vi vet att vi upprepar oss, men det tål att repeteras.)

Det är väldigt roligt att se hur mycket bättre Milou återhämtar sig. I början på säsongen var han helt slut efter bara någon kilometers promenad, men nu återhämtar han sig på några minuter. Bilden nedan tog vi ca 10 minuter efter vi kommit hem, och som synes är han inte helt kollapsad.

Visko och Tiwas skulle säkert kunna dragit lika långt till som det verkade på dem. De var knappt trötta ens, och det tog inte många minuter för Tiwas, som är i höglöp, att börja stöta på Milou. I hennes fall, så är det bokstavligen att stöta till, som synes på bilden nedan. Eftersom Milou är kastrerad, så är han inte lika intresserad av henne som han var av Visko vid förra löpet, men vi håller noga koll på dem, även om det är tre månader sedan vi kastrerade honom.

I övrigt går livet sitt gilla gång här i Bjälkatorp. Valparna växer så det knakar, och både Uno och Ithil har blivit riktigt stiliga. Uno är den absolut mest mysiga och keliga av de två, men Ithil har blivit mer kontaktsökande på sista tiden också. Vi har börjat dra med dem så smått tillsammans med Tiwas framför en cykel. Uno är ganska intresserad av sidan av vägen och allt gott som luktar där, men Ithil har än så länge visat en väldig framåtdrive och fokus. Vi har stora förhoppningar på dem bägge två.

As usual, time was way ahead of schedule leaving us breathless in its wake.
Trying to herd visitors through the streets of Puerto de la Cruz on a Saturday night when there’s so much to see, was proving a difficult task. We’d been told that if we didn’t get to the Majestic before about 9.15pm we’d be hard pressed to get a seat and now a puppet show outside the church was threatening to keep us late.

We finally climbed down the steps into The Majestic at 9.35pm and made a bee line for an empty table slightly behind the mixing desk.
First thoughts on perusing the room were that we’d wandered into a Saga outing. Most of the tables were occupied by a mix of British ex-Pats and holidaymakers, most if not all of retirement age and beyond. I was beginning to wander if this might have been a mistake but I couldn’t see bingo cards anywhere and anyway, we’d already given our order to the ‘personality’ waiter who was mincing about the place like Alan Cumming on speed.

Nicely set up with our drinks in our comfy seats and an only slightly impaired view of the stage for me, the evening began with a short quiz to identify world airline logos and then it was time for the house lights to go down and the footlights to come on.
For the first half of the show Bitter and Twisted (John Sharples and Barry Pugh) took us on a simulated flight around the comedy world of airline attendants which included free peanuts for all (none of that no-frills nonsense on Majestic Airlines), several stunning costume changes and multi-lingual, word-perfect miming.

After the interval the regular Bitter and Twisted Show got into its routine with a level of professionalism and hilarity that has us all howling with laughter and wiping the tears from our eyes. Particularly memorable were the Miss America and Amy Winehouse sketches but the icing on the cake was the uproarious rendition of It Should Have Been Me which is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.

In between shows there was banter with the audience, a raffle and a live rehearsal by John of a new song entitled Saturday Cowboys, a beautiful reminisce about a boy’s obsession with the movies before the age of video and the Internet. I was very tempted to go back the following night to see its inclusion in the show.

There’s no charge to get into the Majestic; drinks are amazingly good value; the atmosphere is friendly and fun, and Bitter & Twisted are quite simply fabulous.
We couldn’t believe it when we looked at the time and it was 1.30am. The entire evening had passed in a whirl of laughter, false eyelashes, sequins and wondering if the waiter would make it through the night without a visit to the Coronary Unit.
I can’t recommend it highly enough. Go!

The Majestic is on Calle Cardogan (off Calle Valoise) in Puerto de la Cruz and the Bitter and Twisted Show is on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights from 8pm.

Idag kommer det att bli mycket bilder på hur här ser ut på gården. Det blir även en hel del valpar och annat smått och gott. Om man vill se bilderna i större storlek går det bra att klicka på dem.

Idag har Love och jag tagit en långpromenad och även tränat en del under tiden. Vi gick i skogen och där får Love springa lös, eftersom han lyder minsta vink. Vi tränar ju på de grundläggande momenten inom lydnad, som fot, och Love börjar bli riktigt duktig. Han är fortfarande slarvig ibland, men han är ju ung än så länge. Vi har gott om tid. Idag var han dock jätteduktig när vi tränade. Vi tränade även fotgående och kontakt när vi gick förbi schäferkenneln och det är bra övning, när det finns ett väl inpissat revir precis bredvid en. Han var riktigt duktig, även om han var lite nyfiken på alla lukter. Så Musse var riktigt stolt över sin Love idag. Vi såg även två älgar. Eller jag såg dem och Love luktade dem. De gick över vägen en bit framför oss. Love såg dem inte, men kände deras lukt när vi kom fram till stället där det passerat. Han luktade noga av stället där de hade stått och visade sen vart de hade fortsatt på andra sidan vägen. Helt lugnt och hade jag inte sett dem så hade jag kanske undrat varför han luktade där. Jag tror det får bli viltspår i framtiden, även på honom.

Annars har jag städat hos kaninerna idag. Här kommer en bild på pricken, vår hona.

Sen bar det iväg till hundgården för att hälsa på Love och Semlan. Någon, typ vår hustomte, har varit dålig på att plocka upp bajs. Hoppsan….

Om vi skall bygga ut hundgården så kommer det att bli åt det här hållet till. Där har vi bara grusplan för tillfället.

På baksidan av lagården sticker ena hundkojjan ut så att vovvarna kan se runt nästan hela huset. Här på gamla gödselstacken brukar hönorna spatsera och det är ju roligt att titta på, enligt hundarna. Bakom mig ligger hönshuset och nu skall vi hälsa på några av hönsen.

Stortuppen bestämmer i hönsgänget, men de andra tupparna parar hönsen när han inte ser. Tuppe är väldigt snäll och får ibland sitta i famnen.

Här kommer en bild på dagens skörd! Vi har fortfarande purjolök kvar, men det är det sista som finns kvar av sommarens skörd. Dock blev de jättestora och fina och verkligen en succé. OdlarMia är mycket nöjd. Nu börjar man ju att få in känslan…

Ikväll, vid maten, var Semlan lite stygg och hamnade i skämshörnet. I vanliga fall brukar de få sin mat samtidigt och så får de sitta och vänta tills alla fått sin mat innan jag ger dem varsegod. De är jätteduktiga, sitter prickstilla och tysta innan jag ger dem varsegod. Idag fick de maten i den ordningen den var klar, Bessa först, sen Semlan och sist Love. Eftersom de fick färskfoder så hade alla ätit klart när Love skulle börja äta och Semlan tyckte väl att hon borde få en kvällsmat till. Så när Love tuggade stoppade hon ner näsan i hans skål och snodde mat. Detta såg Musse med sina falkögon och nappade tag i Semlan och frågade henne strängt vad i hela fridens namn hon höll på med! Jag har några regler som jag håller stenhårt på: T ex får man inte ge sig på någon i flocken bara för att man blev sur på den. Man snor inte heller någons mat. I vanliga fall brukar hundarna vara duktiga på att säga ifrån, men detta missade Love. Detta håller jag hårt på, för att slippa springa runt och rädda folks middagar, så fort de lyfter på huvudet, och därmed få en himla röra i hundgården. Reglerna säger att man måste vänta tills hunden i fråga har lämnat sin skål, då får man slicka rent skålen. Så Semlan hamnade i skämshörnet, vilket är ett hörn i köket. Där får man stanna tills Musse tycker det är okej och sen är alla vänner igen. Så här ser det ut i skämshörnet. På denna bild får Love agera modell, han har dock inte gjort något dumt.

Idag fick Semlan sitta i skämshörnet hela 2 min, och missade därmed den uppskattade skålslickningen. En annan gång kanske man missar lite rolig lek. Detta är den form av korrigering som jag tycker passar allra bäst på samojederna. Love har inte ens hamnat i skämshörnet nån gång på riktigt. På Semlan rinner skäll av rätt lätt och sen är allt bra igen, tycker hon. I skämshörnet så missar hon något roligt och får lite tid på sig att fundera på vad som hände. Hon tänker sällan i förväg och blir ofta förvånad ifall jag korrigerar. Om jag är sur så försöker hon att smita ifrån mig, så det hjälper föga att skälla på henne. Bessa vet mycket väl vad skämshörnet är och hamnar där ibland, ifall hon har varit dum mot Semlan. Som tur är händer det rätt sällan att någon av hundarna gör något riktigt dumt. Så här ser det ut om man sitter i skämshörnet och tittar ut.

På nästan bild ser vi hela glada familjen. Semlan ville inte sitta för nära Bessa, men är glad ändå, som alltid. Bessa och Love ser båda ut som om de helst skulle vilja göra nått annat, men att jag har tjatat mig till att de skall sitta där. Vilket är helt sant!

Samojeden är en brukshund och här får Semlan agera torkställning.

Och så har vi alla härliga valpbilder kvar! Igår började ögonen att öppnas på både Mössa, som kanske kommer att heta Isa, och Sokka. Idag har de öppnats mer och snart så är de helt öppna. Jätteroligt att se! De växer och växer och är stora som ett par herrtofflor nu! Det är dock inte så lätt att fota småbarnen. När de är vakna så sprattlar de så det blir mest söta sovbilder.
