Ah yes, home court. After a disaster of a two-game road trip, the Raps are home this afternoon to face Kid Slovenia (that’s Goran Dragic, for the record) and the Suns at the friendly confines of Air Canada Centre. I’m on my way out to see this one and don’t have much time, so I’ll refer you to the greats at Raptors Republic for your full gameday preview.

As for me, this will be my first time checking out Steve Nash live, which I’m hoping will be as exciting as the first time I saw John Stockton and Karl Malone in the flesh in ‘97. I’m hoping for a wild one and a Raptor win.

You don’t mess around with a guy with one career block at the PG position.

He grew up in war-torn Ljubljana, Slovenia, where he was so poor, he played basketball with large rocks that wouldn’t bounce.

That’s where he got forearms of steel, along with the ability to hit an 80-foot shot with his eyes closed.

Playing with another legendary foreigner Louis Amundson, and 2 super stars Jared Dudley and Grant Hill, his future is bright to say the least.

He’s basically a poor man’s Ricky Rubio.

They both wear number 9, and can run the point like no other.

His thunderous dunk against the Clippers only shed light onto his soon to be amazing career.
