Wenn man im Bus oder im Zug sitzt, auf etwas wartet, oder gerade auf dem Heimweg ist, dann ist die beste Möglichkeit, Zeit totzuschlagen eindeutig Gaming. Wenn man dann noch seine liebsten Retro-Titel unterwegs zocken kann, dann fängt der Spaß erst so richtig an. Ich liste euch heute ein paar meiner Retro to go Games auf.

Dragonball Z Buu's Fury

Mein erster Tip ist gleichzeitig ein Geheimtipp. Mit Dragonball Z Buu’s Fury ist nämlich eines meiner liebsten GBA Spiele erschienen. Das tolle Action Kampfsystem mit den Rollenspielelementen und der Dragonball Saga rund um Buu macht diesen Titel für mich zu einen wirklichen Hit. Ich habe viel Zeit mit diesem Titel verbracht, auch nach dem Story Ending war es spaßig, die Charaktere hochzuleveln, die Welten noch ein bisschen zu erforschen und neue Fertigkeiten zu lernen. Sehr cool: Man kann zwischen allen Dragonball Z Charakteren, die in diesem Teil der Saga tätig sind, spielen und wechseln nach Lust und Laune.

Final Fantasy IV Advance

Ein weiteres Rollenspiel darf hier in diesem Artikel dabei sein. Dabei handelt es sich um Final Fantasy IV Advance, welches ich schon seit SNES Zeiten gut kenne. Damals hat mich das Spiel schon begeistert, heute laufe ich noch gerne mit dem Gameboy Advance herum und spiel den Teil. Busfahrten werden so nie langweilig und auch der ein oder andere Sitznachbar ist sofort still und schaut gespannt auf dem Bildschirm um die sofort ergreifende Story mitzubekommen, oder die toll gemachten Kämpfe mitzuverfolgen.

Klar, es gibt noch viele andere Final Fantasy’s auf dem GBA, aber die müssen nicht alle genannt werden. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance etc. sind alles wirklich gute Titel, aber das hier ist einfach das beste Handheld Game der Reihe!

Mega Drive Collection (PSP)

Um auch eine gelungene Collection zu erwähnen, bringen wir diese mit ein. Schon allein die zwei Phantasy Stars (II und IV) berechtigen den Kauf dieser Collection allemal. Die anderen Titel sind auch wirklich gut. Wer mehr Info’s zu den einzelnen Titeln will, sollte einfach auf Amazon nachschauen…

Castlevania - Aria of Sorrow

Auf sämtlichen Handhelds ist Castlevania nun schon erschienen, aber auf keinem konnte es mich mehr überzeugen. Aria of Sorrow ist eines der wenigen Titel, dass die Elemente von Videospielen so gut verbindet wie sonst. Die RPG Elemente und das gut umgesetzte Metroidvania Prinzip, sowie die Liebe zum Detail seitens Konami machen den Titel unheimlich gut. Man spielt ausnahmsweise keinen Belmont und peitscht auch nicht in der Gegend herum, stattdessen sammelt man verschiedene Waffen und Seelen und läuft im Schloss von Graf Drakula umher, besiegt gigantische Bossgegner und erkundet die Umgebung.

Meiner Meinung nach eignet dieser Teil sich sowohl für lange als auch für kurze Sessions, da man jederzeit in Speicherräumen sein Spiel absichern kann, jedoch auch einfach fortfahren kann.

The Legend of Zelda - The Minish Cap

Schade dass ich Minish Cap erst jetzt nachhole. Denn hätte ich dieses Zelda Abenteuer früher gekannt, wäre ich wohl öfter mit dem früheren Bus gefahren,  um dann vor der Schule sitzend Zelda zu spielen. Stattdessen darf ich jetzt daheim spielen, weil ansonsten keine Zeit für das langwierige Adventure bleibt.

Ich habe übrigens bewusst zu Minish Cap gegriffen, da mir dieser Teil von den Handheld Zelda’s am besten gefallen hat, neben Phantom Hourglass. Aber Phantom Hourglass ist noch kein Retro Game, von daher…

Pokémon - Silberne Edition

Diese Videospielreihe prägte mein Leben als Gamer. Dank ihr spiele ich jetzt Rollenspiele, durch sie hab’ ich lesen gelernt und mit ihr gehe ich gerne auch heute noch aus dem Haus. Zwar nehme ich, um nicht mit dem klobigen Kultklumpen Gameboy aufzufallen, lieber meinen GBA mit, allerdings kann es schon oft passieren, dass genau dieses Spiel im Slot steckt. Die unheilmich gute Spielmechanik packt einen unheimlich gut, man kann allerdings auch jederzeit speichern und dann ausschalten.

Dragonball: Evolution 2009

    Let me say something right up front before I review this film.  I never got into the popular anime series that this film is based on, I have seen a few episodes and the series just never grabbed me.  So, my review of this will be of a novice and not a fan of the series.  I will be judging the film on its own merit and not the connection to the anime.  That being said, I really enjoyed this, it was a light and fun action packed kung fu film with a great hammy performance by Chow Yun Fat.  The choreography in the film is very good, though it could have used more fight scenes and less comedy and set up. It really helped that they picked a great actor to play the head villain, James Marsters, anything he does he brings a higher level of style and class with it than most actors can ever muster.

    The plot basics are this, we meet Goku (Chatwin) who is being trained in martial arts by his grandfather.  He has issues at school though, cause his grandfather will not allow him to fight back.  This all changes when his grandfather is attacked by some people who are looking for something called the Dragonballs.  Before his grandfather dies Goku promises him to find the great Master Roshi (Fat) and to find and protect all 7 of the Dragonballs for the evil lord Piccolo (Marsters) who wants to use them to destroy the world.  He finds Roshi and teams up with other like minded fighters to put an end too the tyranny of Piccolo, but he does not know the full story and will he be able to man up enough in the end to beat him or is he doomed to failure.

    This is a fun and enjoyable film.  Wong’s direction is light and frothy , which is a perfect match for the subject material.  He never lets it get too bogged own in seriousness for its own good.  The script is pretty simplistic and that works in its favor.  You get enough characterization to feel for the characters but never too much that it slows the plot down.  Because first and foremost this is a plot driven film.  The cast is very good, with a great performance by Fat, he is very funny and as always charismatic.  Marsters as the main bad guy Piccolo is great too and he chews his scenes with relish.  Chatwin is a decent protagonist but he is overshadowed by these 2 actors.  The action sequence and the SFX are done very well.  The fight scenes are fast and furious but you never get the sense that the characters are ever in any real danger.  That is good for the kids that this film is aimed at, but it may leave more adult viewers wanting more.  This is a fun family friendly kung fu film, but if you are expecting anything more, you will be sorely disappointed.

Dračí koule – to je to, oč tu běží.:-) Ano, ano je to tak. Tenhle filmeček vznikl na základě, ve světě velmi úspěšného, anime seriálu a především původní komiksové série. Ani jedno však přímo (bohužel?) neznám a nemůžu tedy srovnávat. Každopádně je z filmu cítit, že předloha je plná rubanic a kouzel a… rubanic a kouzel. Vymýšlení příběhu zabralo asi jedno odpoledne, takže vypněte mozek… Začínáme!

Před dvěma tisíci lety zlý pán démonů Piccolo (nenechte se zmást jménem: Kafé piccolo je sice malé, ale velmi silné) chtěl zničit Zemi. Byl však uvězněn kletbou hodných mnichů, kteří za to zaplatili životem. Nyní je zpátky a chce získat sedm dragon ballů k dosažení své pomsty, neboť kdo získá všech sedm koulí, může vyvolat dračího boha Shenlonga, jenž splní jakékoliv přání.  Jak to tak bývá, hlavní hrdina je opředen tajemstvím a my už na začátku tušíme, že on bude zřejmě tím vyvoleným pro záchranu lidstva.

Příběh je sice velmi jednoduchý, ale myslím, že ho ještě jednodušším udělalo tohle filmové zpracování. V sériích se alespoň více sblížíme s postavami a Japonci jsou ve vykreslování postav a vztahů mezi nimi skutečnými mistry. Tady je příběh jen pozadím pro docela povedenou akci a vizuální efekty. Vlastně to uteče všechno docela rychle a vy se ani nestihnete nudit… V tom je největší síla filmu… Je to totální výplach mozku, kdy koukáte na všechny krásné barvičky a lidičky, co se v něm míhají. Hodně je kritizován Chow Yun-Fat. Já si myslím, že se jen chudák snažil být věrný předloze, kde jeho postava Muten Roshi je sice mistrem bojových umění, ale zároveň docela úchylákem a magorem. Bohužel to prostě není herec a anime prvky (zvýrazněné děsivé škleby apod.) se tak v jeho podání na plátno nepodařilo přenést. Transformers jednoduchost příběhu zakryli skvělými postavami, vtipem a dech beroucími efekty. Tady není ani jedno z toho. Nejvíc nudný byl snad zelený záporák Piccolo, jenž vypadal spíše k smíchu, a vy si na něj vzpomenete maximálně při pohledu na brokolici.

Téhle čiré fantasy by slušel i víc fantasy “look” a stylizace – třeba jako ve Speed Racerovi. Možná je kouzlo anime prostě v tom, že je animované. Nemusí být všechno předěláno na hraný film. Jako pokus Dragonball: Evoluce není špatný a aspoň si nehraje na žádný velkofilm. Jak někdy říká Habera v Superstar… Bylo to takové milé. Klidně bych se na to někdy podíval i znova… Jen tak, pro oddych.

D.Gray Man – Road Kamelot

So D.Gray Man was dropped because it was all pretty much bullshit. All fillers apparently. Too bad too, because it had such promise to be a great show. I hear that the manga is really good, and I don’t doubt that, but I’m far to lazy to actually read it. However, the anime did have some sick characters, the best of them belongnig to the Noah clan. And the best of these being, of course, Road (Rhode?). She’s awesome, and here’s why:

• Her skin color is actually gray….I wonder if she can still get a cab?
• HORIZONTAL STRIPED SOCKS (or whatever those are)! YES!
• Purple hair! Helloooo, she’s gotta be in my top coolest looking characters list!

But enough about looks, she’ s awesome because she’s got that something about her, sort of an arrogance. Arrogance is awesome, especially when your dressed in high, horizantal striped socks and have purple hair and gray skin. She almost reminds me of Franken Fran with those marks on her forehead, which just adds to how cool she looks. Oh, and she likes candy. Oh, and despite her looks, she’s actually one of the oldest clan members. If you read this wikipedia page about her, you can see even more reasons why she’s one of the coolest characters ever. Sadism? Fucking awesome. Too bad Wikipedia is always sometimes wrong.

Deathnote – Light Yagami

Okay, so the way that he kills people isn’t really “bad ass.” I might even say that it probably doesn’t even feel like you’re really killing someone when all you do is write down their name and picture their face. But, God damn it, Light has got to be the best tactician in anime. Lelouch couldn’t even put up with the likes of Light. I mean, Light planned….well, I don’t want to say exactly. But the longer that the show carried on without a BAM moment, the bigger the BAM moment was when it came. And it was mainly all Light (L was cool too, in fact it took me a while to decided between Light and L..but Light got the better of L in the end, soo).

Light can almost never be outsmarted (until the inevitable end….and a kid beat him? Really? That kid was like….13 years old.)

Denpa Teki na Kanojo – Ochibana

Here’s a character who could be one of my favorites, if she wasn’t just in one OVA episode (two more are slated to come out, however). Personally, I love the hair, I love the weirdness, and if you’re ever getting beat to death by a delusional girl with a bat, she’ll somehow come get you and rescue you. She’s almost the perfect female character.

Detroit Metal City – Soichi Negishi/Johannes Krauser II

Is there anything better than an alter ego/skitso/etc? Nope. Not much. I almost thought about picking the President, because whenever she talks it’s just fucking hilarious. But come on…really?

Negishi is a pussy. Krauser kicks ass. Put them both together and you’ve got a character that sometimes loses his mind, and calls the girl he likes a pig whore, and that he’s going to rape her. Then he makes up some excuse, and she believes him. Negishi kind of sucks, but without him, Krauser would only be a little bit kick-ass awesome. I don’t know if you noticed, but Krauser raped a tower.

D.N. Angel – Emiko Niwa

I’m going to summerize this choice with one sentence:

She encourages her son to steal.

What more can you ask for?

Dragonball – Goku

I mean, come on, Goku wins in this series hands down. You can’t really go wrong with a kid who’s pretty much oblivious to everything around him, including how unnatural his own strength is, and kicks ass all over the place. He’s just fucking awesome. And he’s got a tail. You know, I used to want a tail at one point in my life, just to see what it feels like.

Dragonball Z – Vegeta

See that picture? I shouldn’t have to explain why Vegeta is the best character in DBZ. He’s fucking awesome. He’s a bad ass Sayain with a sick ass voice (dubbed version). He’s also evil (until they make a mistake and make him a good guy). He kicks ass and is the shit. Easily my favorite character in DBZ, and one of my favorite characters ever.

Dragonball GT – Goku/Vegeta Fusion

Yea. I’ll let that video be the explanation. Also, on farther inspection, I need to rewatch this show because I really can only remember bits and pieces.

Wie ich schon öfters gesagt habe, bin ich kein großer Manga Leser und auch Animes bereiten mir Kopfweh. Da sich aber sogar in meinen (eigentlich nicht Comic-affinen) Bekanntenkreis einige Dragenball Fans befinden, dachte ich mir ich könnte mich vielleicht mittels der Verfilmung an die Serie ranarbeiten. Falsch gedacht, denn ohne irgendeinem Anime/Manga Fan nahe treten zu wollen:

DAS IST MIT ABSTAND DER SCHLECHTESTE FILM DEN ICH JEMALS GESEHEN HABE!

Schon während ich diesen Film gesehen habe, habe ich wirklich nicht gewusst was ich von diesem Teil halten soll. Ich dachte, das wäre vielleicht der Versuch einer Parodie, denn dieses schlechte Screenwriting und diese völlig talentfreien Schauspieler kann doch kein Mensch mit ernsten Absichten produziert haben. Soll sich das vielleicht an Kinder richten? Kann auch nicht sein, denn selbst im direkten Vergleich mit den Teletubbies wäre das noch immer Schund!

Ich hab mich sogar auf Recherche begeben um herauszufinden was die Dragonball-Gemeinde von der Verfilmung ihres Mangas hält und fand nur Reviews die mit meiner eigenen Meinung übereinstimmten. Nur eine Review lag über 0,5 doch die ging den umgekehrten Film und zeichnte Filme für ihren Trash Faktor aus. Klar, dass es dort ne Höchstwertung gab.

So gesehen kann der Film vielleicht auch Spaß machen. Ein paar Bier und Kumpels und gemeinsam herzhaft drüber lachen. Ansonsten aber ist dieser Film aber eine Beleidigung aller Comic und Manga Fans.

Damit dies jetzt nicht so aussieht als würde ich nur über etwas herziehen was ich nicht wirklich beurteilen kann, möchte euch ich die Review vom Anime Network nahe legen. Die sind vom Fach und haben eine (witzige) Review geschrieben der ich in allen Punkten nur zustimmen kann. Auch ihrem Fazit in dem sie bei dem Minuspunkten  „Basically everything“ nennen, kann ich mich nur anschließen. Grauslich, dieser Film, grauslich…

Reasons For Loving/Hating: The whole Saiyuki series is one of my guilty pleasures because of the gratuitous one-liners, ridiculous action sequences, and hot, hot bishies. The movie is particularly full of these elements.

For those not in the know, Saiyuki is an anime reforging of the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. While this has been beaten like a dead dragon-jeep in the East (it’s like their version of King Arthur), this version manages to be both new and still somewhat faithful to the story (unlike the other anime based off of it: Dragonball).

Saiyki is made up of three series so far (and yes, I mean so far): Gensomaden Saiyki, Saiyki:Reload, and Saiyuki: Reload – Gunlock. There are also two movies: Saiyki:Requiem and Saiyuki:Burial. Requiem happens between the first two series.

Now, the unfortunate thing about this epic is that the english voice cast changed after the first series and movie because a different company took over the project. This led to some serious culture shock for this viewer, who had fallen in love with the english cast the very first time she’d seen it on Netflix Instant Watch.

Now, most of the voice cast of the new version was ok. . . except for my favorite character: Cho Hakkai.

Oh my god, what did they DO to me?

Sorry, dear Hakkai. They destroyed you.

I'll kill them! I'll flipping kill them!

Steve Cannon took over for Braden Hunt (who is an awesome VA) in the second two series, and while I loved him as Chris in Scrapped Princess, he made poor Hakkai sound. . . well. . . far more feminine than normal.

That being said, it was awesome to see the movie, where Braden Hunt plays Hakkai again. This alone made me love the movie.

But there’s more than that. The entire movie is a complete and total mind screw, with every possible enemy in it. I mean, you’ve got demons, zombies, dopplegangers, pretty young shower assassins, shikiami, dragons, and. . . a crazy monk of doom? Oh yes, yes, it’s all in there.

And the Sanzo party pulls out all the stops as well. Every battle tactic they used in the first series is back, including (but not limited to) Hakkai’s mad death-faking skills, Sanzo’s angry trigger-happy banishing gun rampages, Goku’s ferocious hunger-driven madness, and Gojyo’s. . . well. . . he has a shower scene. ‘Nuff said.

Even the themes are pretty deep for this anime, including taking responsibilities for your actions and the nature of humanity. Also, the big bad is a great representation of what can happen to hero-worshippers (fanboys, beware!).

All in all, it’s a great movie for those who love Saiyuki already, though you can watch it without having seen the series and not miss too much, I think. But watch the series. It kicks ass, as Goku would say.

Nostalgie und Retro aller Orten – wen wundert es da, dass auch der Manga-Klassiker Dragonball eine Renaissance erlebt.

Und sei es nur in Form dieser Kopfhörer, die als limitiertes Produkt; mit den einschlägigen Insignien verziert, ab Januar angeboten werden.

Dass es keine Angaben zu Preis und technischen Details gibt, mag den einen oder anderen misstrauisch machen, aber sicher gibt es immer noch genügend hartgesottenen Dragonball-Fans, bei denen der spontane Kaufreflex auch diesen Einwand nicht gelten lässt … [dieter]

La pagina se llama animeid y encontraran animes tan famosos como “naruto” o “Dragan ball” y otros no tan famosos como “Fairy tail” o “Kobato”

Ademas de la gran cantidad de OVAS y Peliculas que contiene la pagina sin duda es un lugar muy bueno para pasar un buen Tiempo.

They aren’t covered in weird piercings and neither have tattoos themselves. They are funny and utterly without ego. I felt comfortable.. almost at home there. And Shannon fixed the awful mess that the other place did to my arm. The wait time is long but seriously, why would you be in such a hurry for something so permanent that you couldn’t wait? I would never go anywhere else.

Glavni lik se zove Enis a likova oko njega ima veoma mnogo. Najvažniji su: njegov trener Romero Hernandez, Romerovi učenici: Candy, Andreas, i John i ljubav njegovog do tadašnjeg života Alma. Kroz priču prolazi mnogo likova tako da bi najava bila ogromna ukoliko bih ih sve pobrojao.

Sad ćete vi reći “dobro, gomila likova ne čini impresivan projekat” no slušajte tek priču:

Priča je poprilično standardna: odabrani dječak ne nelazi svoje mjesto u ovome svijetu, usamljen je, tuguje itd. On nakon izvjesnog vremena nalazi istinu i odlazi u novi svijet i doživljava svoje nove avanture.
Što se tice te istine ne bih da otkrivam prviše stvari sem: on je jedan od 7 legendarnih zmajeva koji su živjeli na zemlji prije 1000 g. te sada postoje ljudi koji  ga traže iz dobrih i loših razloga. On naravno nema pojma o tome svemu te mu ne preostaje ništa nego da zasad sluša o svemu tome i uči.

Enes strip planira nacrtati u crtaćem stilu u kojem se osjeti veliki uticaj manga stripova. Evo šta on kaže o tome:

Naravno da sam i ja imao svoje uzore. Dok sam u početku stvarao tu legendu o zmaju tada sam se dosta orjentisao na Akiru Torijamu velikog manga i anime autora (serijal “Dragonball”), ali poslije, dok sam dorađivao svoju priču, dosta sam se koncentrisao na novije crtace kao Erichiko Oda (serijal “One piece”) i Masaki Khishimoto ( serijal “Naruto”) i koncentrisao sam se na njihov stil crtanja i samog pričanja . Odabrao sam mangu jer sam jednostavno odrastao kao i mnogo djece danas uz anime crticće i svoju bujnu maštu koju sam tada imao sam naravno kanalisao u tom pravcu.

Hagan sus apuestas. ¿Quién es el más pervertido de los ánimes de tele abierta? Ranma ½  nos regaló al magnífico Happosai (robacalzones por excelencia); Dragon Ball presentó al maestro Roshi, lector asiduo de porno, y Dr. Slump mostró a Senbei Norimaki, el científico más maitro del universo.

Los tres han dejado huella en el colectivo mental; son referencias constantes entre amigos: la cara de galán, la sangre por la nariz, el chantaje de los adultos mayores, en fin, que han contribuido a hacer crecer la idea de que todos los viejos son raboverde. Voten por el suyo:

Happosai (Ranma ½): Es uno de los sensei más poderosos de Oriente. Su técnica es milenaria y se mantiene en celoso secreto, pero tiene una debilidad: las mujeres. Pasa la noche aplicando sus grandiosos poderes al robo masivo de ropa interior. Tal acción le ha valido ser mencionado en la vida real (http://www.pixfans.com/el-ladron-de-ropa-interior/) y también le ha dado la gloria de ser recordado forever. Se la pasa echándole agua fría a Ranma para poder manosearlo una vez convertido en mujer; su estatura le permite acceder a cada rincón de la anatomía femenina y le da la característica perfecta para zorrear. Según él -como se muestra en todo un capítulo- de joven estaba bien bueno y era rubio de ojos claros, pero luego supimos que sólo era su debraye.

¡Ay, mamá Dolores! Toma tu Kame Hame Há

Maestro Roshi (Dragon Ball): entrenador de Gokú, viaja sobre una tortuga, creador del mismísimo Kame hame há. Su obsesión es ver programas de mujeres haciendo aeróbicos, gusta de ser sobornado con revistas porno y se entretiene calzoneando a cuanta mujer se le pone enfrente (como catedrático de la UAC). Cuando se “pone contento” le explota sangre por la nariz. Si va a mostrar su Kame hame há se pone hipermamey, pero su cara se queda igual. Morbosero oficial de Bulma.

Senbei Norimaki (Dr. Slump/Aralé): Un supremo macehual nato. Maitrísimo por naturaleza, pero bendecido con el don de la inteligencia, deja todo de lado (incluyendo la dignidad) cuando se encuentra cerca de alguna mujer hermosa -en especial de la profesora Yamabuki- convirtiéndose en el más obsceno, idiota e impertinente de todos los hombres. Es capaz de usar su genio científico y crear los inventos más surrealistas sólo para zorrear mujeres (como quedó mostrado en el mítico capítulo donde usa los ojos de Aralé como cámara de video). La “cara de galán” es su carta fuerte a la hora de la conquista.
