<p>The Central Library of Fort Worth offers more for your pre-teen than a great selection of books. The Puppetry Troup classes allow your child to learn how to craft puppets, be a puppeteer and participate in live performances. The classes are suitable for children between 10 and 12 years of age. Free parking is available on weekends at any parking meter around the library and two and a half hours of complimentary parking is available a two nearby parking garages, with a validated ticket.</p>

<p>Pottery painting is a great introduction to hands-on art for kids. At Van Grow, each student chooses a bisque piece, glaze and firing. Next, the fun starts with personalized decorations. Adult supervision is required for potters younger than 12 years old. The final piece can take up to two weeks to complete, but you&#8217;ll have a souvenir that will last a lifetime.</p>

<p>Artists will lead children between the ages of 5 and 12 through a variety of drawing exercises in relation to the museum&#8217;s current selections. Young artists should bring a sketchbook and pencils to participate, or plan to purchase the supplies onsite. Because attendance is limited, participants should arrive early and register at the front desk. Adult supervision is required for participants who are 5 or 6 years old.</p>

<p>The Amon Carter Museum has been collecting the finest examples of American art for more than 50 years, and has created a series of programs in which families can enjoy and experience this art in innovative ways. <p>Innovation Studios is an ever-changing exhibit that fosters creative expression using a variety of materials and subject matter. The glass studio is designed with those 9 years and up in mind due to the many small objects that the young artists and inventors will handle. Adult supervision is required for those 12 and under.</p>
