Perez Hilton, if you know who he is, you know he is the infamous celebrity blogger turned “celebrity”  himself.  Even if you don’t like him, you’ve got to admit he was extremely successful with perezhilton.com; that he is a pioneer for bloggers who want to make it big.

He’s releasing a tell-all book, “Perez Hilton’s True Bloggywood Stories–The Glamorous Life of Beating, Cheating, and Overdosing.”

Will his book be successful?  We think there will be some DEFINITE controversy surrounding it and it will be damaging to Perez’s reputation, not that that isn’t uncharacteristic of him.

Highlights of the book are  “Steamy Details on Twilight Dating”, “The Michael Jackson Catastrophe”, “Exclusive details on Perez’s controversial face-to-face encounters with Will.I.Am, Carrie Prejean, and Drew Barrymoore“, “Exclusive dish on Jon and Kate+8 debacle and other reality TV scandals”, just to name a few.  Does this dish sound delish?

Perez is also offering to personally autograph every book that is bought and sent to a special address.  As for live signings, there’s no information on that yet.

So, is this a win or fail move?  We’re tempted to look through the book if we see it lying around!

SINOPSE:
Gigi, interpretada por Ginnifer Goodwin [Day Zero (2007), "Big Love" como Margene Heffman  (34 episodes, 2006-2009) e In the Land of Women (2007)] é uma romântica incorrigível que sai com Conor, interpretado por Kevin Connolly ["Entourage" Eric Murphy como (66 episodes, 2004-2008), The Notebook (2004) e The Ugly Truth (2009)] que é o tipo de cara que nunca liga no dia seguinte.

Um dia ela resolve encontrar com Conor “acidentalmente” em um bar que ele costuma freqüentar, e acaba conhecendo Alex, interpretado por Justin Long [Jeepers Creepers (2001), Zack and Miri Make a Porno (2008) e Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007) (voice) como Alvin] que é o sujeito que divide o apartamento com Conor, e que tem uma visão muito clara sobre o mundo, cuja qual ele decide compartilhar com Gigi numa viagem ao complicado mundo da mente masculina.

Depois de “cair na real”, segundo as revelações de Alex, Gigi percebe que ao invés de correr atrás dos homens com quem tivera um encontro apenas, bem como ficar tentado interpretar os sinais que os mesmos dão durante esses encontros, ela resolve desencanar e não correr mais atrás, nem o telefone deles ela passa a anotar.

Mas o que Gigi não percebe é que ela caiu exatamente na mesma ladainha, mas dessa vez foi com Alex, que de fato passou todos os sinais de que ele estava afim, mas…

Bom essas sinopse será um pouco mais longa do que eu gostaria que ela fosse. Mas vale a pena ler…

Nesse bolo de Gigi, Conor e Alex, temos outros encontros e desencontros, por exemplo: Conor não liga de volta para Gigi porque ele é apaixonado por Anna Taylor, interpretada por Scarlett Johansson [Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008), The Island (2005) e Iron Man 2 (2010)] que está apixonada por Ben Gunders, interpretado por Bradley Cooper [Yes Man (2008), The Midnight Meat Train (2008) e "Nip/Tuck" como Aidan Stone (6 episodes, 2007-2009)] cujo qual ela conheceu na fila do caixa do supermercado e que é casado com Janine Gunders, interpretada por Jennifer Connelly [Blood Diamond (2006), House of Sand and Fog (2003) e Dark City (1998)].

Por sua vez, Janine trabalha com Beth Barllet, interpretada por Jennifer Aniston [The Break-Up (2006), Marley & Me (2008) e Along Came Polly (2004)] que é “juntada” com Neil Jones, interpretado por Ben Affleck [State of Play (2009), Smokin' Aces (2006) e Pearl Harbor (2001)]. Janine e Beth trabalham também com Gigi, e passam o dia todo debatendo seus relacionamentos e o dos outros.

Neil e Ben são amigos e compartilham suas fobias de casamento juntos, tanto os deles quanto os dos outros.

Já Beth vive um dilema com seu “namorido”, pois Neil se recusa a casar com ela, alegando que já vivem a tantos anos juntos que casar poderia estragar tudo, além dele mesmo ser contra a oficialização perante as leis civis e religiosas.

E para acabar com esse super bolo de encontros e desencontros, Conor contrata Mary Harris, interpretada por Drew Barrymore [Music and Lyrics (2007), 50 First Dates (2004) e Charlie's Angels (2000)] para realizar seu marketing pessoal, pois Conor é corretor de imóveis e quer aumentar o número de visitação das casas que ele é responsável pela venda ou locação. Já Mary só namora “on line” e espera conhecer ser príncipe encantado, seu par feito…

CRÍTICA

Do mesmo diretor de “Licença Pra Casar” – 2007 (License to Wed) e Quatro Amigas e Um Jeans Viajante – 2005 (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants), Ken Kwapis acertou mais uma vez na receita do bolo, e que bolo!

Recém saído da telonas, agora é aguardar a chegada nas locadoras, ou procurar pelas salas de cinema que ainda estejam com o longa em cartaz para assistir ao drama romântico que mostra com clareza o mundo complicado da mulheres e suas infinitas ladainhas.

Quantas vezes ouvi minhas amigas dizerem que o “cara” não me merecia, ou que o cara não ligou pois estava com algum problema, em fim, sabem quantas justificativas cretinas já ouvi de amigas, tias, mães e do próprio “cretino” que ele não me ligou por algum motivo idiota, que está na cara que era uma puta mentira deslavada e ninguém, ninguém mesmo teve a “porra” da coragem de dizer que “ELE NÃO ESTAVA TÃO AFIM DE MIM”…

Conflitos amorosos, brigas homéricas entre namorados, traição, cara metade, alma gêmea, fofocas, etc. Tudo que envolve o relacionamento entre homens e mulheres é mostrado nesse longa de uma forma esclarecedora, sincera e um tanto engraçada.

Não é um filme para homens assistirem, mas sim, para homens corajosos o suficiente para enfrentarem as mil e uma “ladainhas” femininas e de uma vez por todas, descobrirem alguns dos vários segredos das mulheres… É vocês vão poder ver com os próprios olhos o que as mulheres fazem (pensam) no primeiro encontro, o quanto as mulheres imaginam (viajam), fantasiam (sonham) sobre os homens…

Estou exagerando um pouquinho para vocês leitores entrarem no clima, afinal é um filme para mulheres, mas os homens devem sim, assistir. O filme é bom, boas atuações, ótimas sacadas e excelente roteiro. Não vai agradar a todos, mas com certeza vai agradar o público feminino, pelo menos a parte que tem plena consciência de que as mulheres são sim mais pré dispostas a abrirem seus corações do que os homens.

O amor pode estar em qualquer lugar, mas na maioria das vezes, ele se mostra nos momentos menos esperados… Basicamente é disso que o filme se trata. Não adianta nada escolhermos o par perfeito, a pessoa certa, o cara ideal, a mulher dos sonhos, ou como já ouvi por aí, a  “mulher da minha vida”…  Pelo amor de Deus, como ela pode ser a mulher da sua vida se você a viu somente uma vez?

São as pequenas coisas, os gestos, as atitudes, as palavras, que definem a essência de uma pessoa, de fato Conor acaba percebendo isso no final da história, quando sem ter uma puta idéia, ele acaba esbarrando naquela que seria sua mulher e mãe dos seus filhos, e ironicamente, eles já se conheciam…

I suppose you’re all wondering what the new COEN BROTHERS film is like? Well I went to see it this evening, and I’m gonna say this: it’s very different from their usual films, it’s more of a deep, philosophical comedy drama. Some (denser) audience members may leave feeling cheated, or fail to be entertained, but upon reflection at the ending, I found the film to be very clever, and begin to make sense upon reflection; when I left the cinema. Just go and see it, if you’re intelligent, and want to be entertained. It’s about as challenging to watch as Charlie Kaufman’s latest, I’d say, but possibly a little less complicated. But c’mon, it’s a Coens film, who’s not gonna go see it?

Yes. Yes you should. I’m serious.

Anyway, back to music. I’ve been listening to a bit of a mix lately; about half electronic, half other music? Well whatever, but I’ve bumped into a few incredible tracks from all different corners. Such as this – Erol Alkan’s latest signing, German dude BORIS DLUGOSCH, who has released possibly one of the biggest bangers of this year, immediately rivalling everyone from Jack Beats to Crookers, and mainly due to its simple formula of chopped up beats, wiping synths and high pitched groans, as well as steady popping bass.

Also from Germany is minimal techno duo AKA AKA, who sample some crazy stuff (including Batman & Robin), but in this track utilise a bit of didgeridoo in place of the usual repetitive electronic percussion, which I thought was pretty raaaaaaaaaad:

A while ago I found these two Portuguese guys called OCTA PUSH, who are incredible. They’ve pretty much popped out of nowhere, and they mix all kinds of styles together to form some kind of supersound. I can’t really explain it, but it’s very accessible. This is their signature track, I think, and it’s pretty sumptuous when you first hear it smother your ear-holes…

“Kolokani” – Octa Push (zshare)

So THE BLACK KEYS decided to go hip-hop for their newest stuff, and collaborated with a ton of rappers and vocalists, including one of my favourites, Mos Def. But the track I’m gonna show you features RZA of Wu-Tang fame, and Pharoahe Monch of “shut the fuck up” fame. It holds a significant amount of soul, psychedelia, and swagger. Raw:

I saw TURBO FRUITS a while back when whiting out at a festival, and I remember them playing pretty well for a Be Your Own Pet spinoff. I actually bought their debut album, despite it not seeming fully thought-out. This new stuff shows a stronger side to them, with a balls-out Black Lips-style tightness. This is how mainstream rock music should sound nowadays, brilliant production too. Apparently they’re soundtracking the new Drew Barrymore film though…ugh…

“International Language of Love” – Turbo Fruits (zshare)

INVASION are insane. I first read them described as “wizard metal”, and straight away got on that shit. First listen sounds like Death From Above 1979 with crazy soulish vocals. And I’m happy to say it all sounds that good! It’s pretty spacey, you should check out their videos actually, I’ll post one now just to keep you entertained – watch their other videos though, they’re really cool 90’s video montage-based! This morning I heard on the news that the Obamas would be having the Prime Minister of India as guest of honor for the first official Obama White House State Dinner. Immediately I wondered if the dinner was going to be vegetarian.

And then, I got on with my day.

Kulavira just posted on Facebook this NYTimes.com blog piece on the dinner, which is totally veg except for some jalphal…a shrimp course.

Good for India! Too bad about the masoor dal, though.

Also, although not very vegetarian, check out The Food Issue of The New Yorker. I particularly enjoyed Raffi Khatchadourian’s article, “The Taste Makers“. The link is for the abstract; I have a subscription to the print edition. Kickin’ it old skool. Having grown up 20 minutes from Rutgers University and their food science program, I was smitten at a young age by esters and artificial flavors. Fortunately and unfortunately for me, I sucked at regular chem. O-chem was always a few carbon chains out of my reach.

Anyway, if you are at all interested in processed foods and flavorings, it’s worth a trip to your library for a look at the entire article. A bunch of nuts, those scientists!

I’m going to try to corral all the fun foodie newsy news news I come across and dump it periodically on my blog instead of flashing it all on Facebook. The blog is way more accessible to me as an archive for my finds since it has a search feature and Facebook is a pain in the arse.

Other stuff that has been in the media lately and of interest to vegetarians (and hopefully non-vegetarians, as well) is Jonathan Safran Foer’s Eating Animals, which would make a nice birthday gift for me, hint hint. This book is getting a lot of attention. In one article earlier this week, Michiko Kakutani writes:

He asserts that “we have let the factory farm replace farming for the same reasons our cultures have relegated minorities to being second-class members of society and kept women under the power of men.” And in another section he talks about “the shame” he felt as an American tourist in Europe when “photos of Abu Ghraib proliferated” and then speaks in the very next sentence about the “shame in being human: the shame of knowing that 20 of the roughly 35 classified species of sea horse worldwide are threatened with extinction because they are killed ‘unintentionally’ in seafood production.”

Damn, Jonathan, you sexy with all that socio-political talk!! I totally agree and find vegetarianism to be a basic tenant of being human. Not that I’m judging anyone and everyone who eats meat. Okay, I am. But I try to keep it to myself.

Ahhh, this I just came across when looking up the link for Jon-Jon’s piece. Okay, maybe old news to most of you but I was grossed out to read that Mollie Katzen made the switch to the carnivorous side…years ago. Check out the link here. This Food & Wine article illustrates the whole “humane” meat thing that people have sold themselves, and uses Katzen as the not too shy poster child. Thankfully, I never owned one of her hippie cookbooks. It is just so Drew Barrymore of her. Apparently, 2002 was a very sketchy year for vegetarians.

Okay. I know I sound mean and judgmental. But it is just one side of my very complex personality. And besides, it’s my blog.

Just think about the title. The whole movie plot is right there. Every movie with ‘Beverly Hills’ in the title features a character or characters that are wealthy, arrogant, pampered, and disgusted by the idea of physical labor. But by the end of the movie, these characters have adjusted to a perky, more reasonable version of their past selves. They now do physical labor, like digging a trench, but they do it with a pink shovel. Such is the case with Chloe, the Beverly Hills Chihuahua.

Chloe’s owner, a high-rolling cosmetics company founder played by Jamie Lee Curtis, is supposedly very busy, but not too busy to dress her dog up like a child beauty pageant contestant. When a business trip commands her presence overseas, she’s forced to entrust her most prized possession to her air-headed niece, Rachel. Rachel and Chloe don’t get along because they are exactly alike. When Rachel and her friends take an impromptu trip to Mexico, Chloe is kidnapped by a mustached man for his underground dog-fighting ring. The rest of the movie follows Rachel and Chloe as they try to find each other in time before the chihuahua’s owner comes home.

Will they find each other? Of course they will! It’s a Disney movie for crying out loud!

The talking animations are good, but the flow of talking animals gets thrown off when Chloe runs into a completely animated iguana and rat. They break up the realistic animation with their over-the-top movements, and it feels like they were added last minute just so Cheech Marin could get some voice work in.

Drew Barrymore voices Chloe, and frankly, a dog is too smart for her voice. Sure, the prissy purebred is snooty and oblivious to what the unwashed commoners refer to as ‘work,’ but Drew’s voice is better suited for a single-cell organism, or at best an earthworm.

The Chloe character isn’t one to like as much as one to pity. All the animals that help her along the way do so because they feel sorry for her. All in all she’s unlikeable, despite, or because of, her zippy one-liners and goofy outfits.

Como vocês sabem, enquanto não estou aqui dando dicas pra vocês, sou maquiadora de moda e publicidade. Além disso, também faço maquiagem social. O que quer dizer: faço make e cabelo para festas, casamento, etc.
Estamos no fim do ano e fico impressionada com a quantidade de casamentos em São Paulo nessa época. Meus sábados tem sido entre pincéis, escovas, sombras e secadores.
Com toda essa história, quero chegar em um assunto específico: calor X cabelo.
Com o verão, vem as chuvas e vocês sabem que a umidade é inimiga dos fios no lugar. Aí, algumas mulheres querem porque querem ir ao um casamento com baby liss e cabelo solto. Me desculpe, mas nessas horas eu sou bem honesta: vai chegar linda e depois de 1 hora vai tombar tudo.
Não existe milagre minha gente. Se você curte um cabelão ondulado e solto, pense pelo menos na possibilidade de ele ser meio preso ou um rabo de cavalo. Coque, com esse calor, é a salvação. Não precisa ser nada careta (aliás, abaixo a caretisse). Falo isso em prol da sua beleza e conforto. Pense na possibilidade de outros penteados, outras formas de se sentir tão bonita sem deixar o cabelão solto grudando nas costas (eeeccaa)!!

A Natalie Portman normalmente está com o cabelo curtinho, no máximo na altura dos ombros e mesmo assim ela arrasa nos penteados. Esse é um coque eu que eu adoro. Você faz um coque e depois “suja” um pouco. Isso quer dizer, puxa umas mexinhas, como se estivesse meio bagunçado, depois “tasca” spray e tá pronta e linda. Dica meninas, esse penteado é SUPER fácil de fazer e fica moderno e bem bacana.

Natalie Portman

Esse coque é bem legal para quem tem franja mais curtinha, porque a tiara ou uma faixa de cabelo enfeita e ajuda a segurar a franjinha.

Hayden Panettiere

Esse coque parece ser suuuuper complicado, mega trabalhado, mas não é tão difícil não! Você faz um coque meio solto e ao invés de prender todo o cabelo, você vai trabalhando as mechas, vai prendendo uma a uma e fica essa textura linda de cabelo.

Ela de novo. Essa também é uma solução para quem tem franjinha e não quer prender. Pode colocar de lado e passar spray ou um pouco de gel.

Você pode deixar todo o cabelo preso ou deixar uns fios solto na frente.

O rabo de cavalo da Drew é mais clássico, até meio retrô. É só fazer uma escova bem feita, deixando as pontas viradas e depois fazer um rabo na altura média da cabeça.

Adoro esses penteados que parecem que não fizeram NADA, mas pode acreditar: fez sim.

Drew Barrymores regidebut har känts lite läskig, framförallt eftersomd et är en stor utmaning att göra en film om slagsmålsbenägna rollergirls i nätstrumpor utan att få den att kännas unket sexistisk. Men nej. Kasslerstrumpan lyser med sin närvaro och sexismen med sin frånvaro. För även om storyn är enkel, och berättarknepen kända så undviker Drew många av de klassiska fällorna- mer än så vill jag inte berätta för att slippa förstöra spänningen.

Och vilken skådislista sen: Ellen Page, Drew Barrymore, Juliette Lewis!!, sångerskan Eve och stuntkvinnan Zoe Bell. Nu är bara frågan; kommer den på bio? Och annars; i vilket visningsfönster kommer vi kunna se den?

Mas sua vida muda completamente quando encontra Lucy (Drew Barrymore) no café local. Henry logo percebe que não está diante de apenas mais uma missão de seduzir e abandonar: primeiro, porque ela não é turista; e segundo, porque Henry parece ter visto algo mais nela. A primeira abordagem é um sucesso – os waffles do café da manhã dela e as mãos dele cheirando a peixe se tornam o elo da conversa -, mas no dia seguinte a jovem moça age como se nunca o tivesse visto antes.

Logo Henry descobre que Lucy sofreu um grave acidente que tirou sua memória de curta duração, ou seja, ela se esquece dos fatos recentes durante a noite e passa a viver sempre o mesmo dia. Dessa forma, ignorando sua própria regra de não namorar garotas da cidade e esquecendo o seu lado Don Juan, Henry sente-se apaixonado e percebe que será obrigado a conquistar Lucy, dia após dia, para ficar ao seu lado. E para isso, não mede esforços e vive muitas loucuras.

Mas nem tudo sai como planejado. O jovem veterinário tem o sonho de navegar para o Alasca para estudar a vida submarina das morsas, mas com as conquistas diárias, precisa abandonar o seu plano. Lucy, percebendo o esforço de seu ‘namorado’, resolve acabar o relacionamento com o rapaz. Apaga-o de seus diários e passa a viver como se ele nunca tivesse aparecido em sua vida.

Dessa forma, Henry pode viajar (mesmo com o coração partido) e Lucy passa a ensinar arte – sua profissão antes do acidente que a deixou sem memória – na clínica médica que recebe tratamento. Só que o amor acaba sendo mais forte e os dois vão descobrir isso, de alguma maneira.

O final do filme, obviamente, emociona os mais românticos e mostra que o amor – independente de todos os problemas – consegue sobreviver quando é realmente verdadeiro. Pode ser clichê sim, mas este longa-metragem tem muitos aspectos positivos. Reúne dois ótimos atores (Drew Barrymore e Adam Sandler), tem bons diálogos (ingrediente essencial para o gênero comédia-romântica) e participações bem especiais, como no caso de Rob Schneider, no papel de um velho havaiano muito bobo e, às vezes, engraçado.

Para encerrar, há dois personagens fofíssimos: o pingüim e a morsa. Um mais engraçado que o outro… A-DO-RO!

DI:What is one thing you know now that you wish you had known as a teenager?

DB:I wish I had known that I would actually survive heartbreak. Sometimes you think it’s so bad that it will physically end you. But you make it through somehow – with the help of your friends – and those are the journeys that make you a good friend to someone else and give you wisdom.

But God knows, when I was young I thought heartbreak was the worst thing ever. I just thought I was going to die inside, and then I realized I’d had some really interesting relationships that helped form me along the way in life, and those heartaches actually made me stronger and better.

DI:Taking risks is difficult for anyone, especially insecure teens. You seem to have taken many risks in your career. How do you find the courage, and what advice can you give teens to overcome our fears?

DB:I think the essential thing is to know that everybody feels the same way. If you’re in an office environment, or a high school, it’s a confined world and there are pressures, and some people aren’t as nice as others. You just have to stay on your own path and not get lost or be too worried about what others are thinking of you. If you try to define yourself through the acceptance of others, you may not get it. You really have to do it for yourself. You have to stick to your gut instincts and your creativity, your passion in life, and don’t let other people deter you.

The pressure of what other people are thinking or doing can be very strong and completely sidetrack you. The important thing is to stay focused and true to yourself. That is the path to happiness and success, no matter what you choose to do in the world. Just stay on your path and trust yourself.

DI:Do you have any advice for teens who use alcohol or drugs to avoid dealing with their emotions or the challenges in their lives?

DB:I think as you get older you start to appreciate the word balance. I completely understand the desire to have fun, but it doesn’t mean getting high is what’s going to be the most fun in life. And you actually need to feel those feelings in order to come out on the other side and be stronger and wiser for it. It’s like heartbreak, or a bad family situation, or an environment that isn’t socially warm and accepting – you have to live through it and wear those badges with honor knowing that you really did get through it and became a stronger and more sensitive person. Obviously, partying is not going to lead you to the reward that earning that knowledge will bring.

DI:If there is one thing that you could change about your life, what would it be and why?

DB:I would make the paparazzi go away – they are the worst! But that’s just my thing. You know, I’m sure someone in some office somewhere is like, “I wish my manager would just go take a flying leap.” Or “I wish that girl in my high school who makes fun of me all the time would move to another state.” I so understand that feeling and, really, it’s the same.

When I was growing up, I loved the movies of John Hughes. He had a particular style of filmmaking where the problems that teenagers or kids were going through seemed the same as adults. They were never talked down to; they weren’t belittled. Heartbreak and fear and acceptance and rejection and trying to figure out who you are and what you want to do in life and who you want to do it with – those are all really important when you’re growing up.

So with “Whip It” I wanted to make a film about young people where the stakes and emotions and fun and risks and lessons are dealt with in a serious way. I think kids are smart and savvy, and when films are made about their problems and journeys, they should be treated as importantly as adults. That’s the kind of film I related to when I was a kid.

DI:In making “Whip It,” what was the hardest thing about being both an actor in front of the camera and a director behind the camera?

DB:Actually, it was a complete help in relating to people. First of all, I could never sit on the sidelines; I’d have to get in there. And I didn’t want to be the kind of director who said, “I know it’s scary, but just go in there and do it.”

I wanted to learn the sport as well, understand the pain and fear that comes along with it. I wanted to be there to encourage and celebrate with everyone when they learned. And I learned from doing the “Charlie’s Angels” movies that training camp gives you two things that are vital: an ability to get out there when you’ve learned all the stuff and you’re excited to show it, you’re passionate about it, and you’re physically capable; and also the bonds of bruises and pain, overcoming challenges and finally jumping that thing on skates. You know, the bond that comes with that experience is what forms true friendships. And so that chemistry in the film is real. These girls really know each other and they’ve been through things together; it’s not just actors walking on a set, shaking hands, and being like, “Okay, we’re on a team.”

DI:At the age of 14, you went back into rehab after a suicide attempt …

[Laughing] So, keeping things light … good.

… What would you say to teens who are suffering from depression or have suicidal tendencies?

DB:I would just say to persevere and find people who are safe and honest and who will give you tough love and guide you through, because you really can’t do everything on your own. You need love and support around you, and to believe that you will get past these hard times. You will overcome. Things will get better. Life is a series of ups and downs, and the good news is that when you’re in a low, it will always go up again.

Life is not a free journey. There are a lot of lessons you have to learn along the way, but just appreciate the gift of it and find people who will be honest with you.

The directional debut for actress Drew Barrymore comes off as a pleasant surprise. Whip It might not be a groundbreaking movie by any means, nor is it going to raise any Oscar buzz this year or so I would think but however on the plus side of it all Drew Barrymore has turned over a really good start to her directing career.

The movie stars Ellen Page as a young girl trying to find herself and what it is she loves while trying to appease her mother who tends to hold her back from what she truly wants to do. What I did enjoy is even with a character like the mother in this movie I found that I did not really dislike any of the characters being portrayed at all. The movie itself leads you to feel like the characters involved are very human and as a result you feel a better connection with each of them.

Ellen Page is her role proves once again why she has tremendous potential as an actress in Hollywood. Page turns over a fantastic performance which might be the only one that could get a nod come Oscar season.

The movie is a sports based underdog story which does not fall victim to cliche’s of the genre. What we are inevitably left with here is a well presented, interesting, and overall feel good human story. I applaud Drew Barrymore for her turn as a director and look forward to more feature films from her.

Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell should top this list, for playing ‘Hollywood guys’ who are ‘qualified’ to find America’s next top singing talent.

(Jokes) but Forbes Magazine has released their list of the ten most overpaid actors in the Hollywood film industry for 2009. The findings are based on what actors got paid by studios and what they returned per dollar back to the studio via the box office.

The findings weed out the older talent posturing themselves as big stars and make room for the newbies like the Efrons, Lautners, Pattinsons of Hollywood’s rising stars.

Here’s the list of most overpaid actors:

As many know,  I am no movie buff.. i could barely remember what i wore monday, let alone trying to remember a classic quote from a movie.

However, I definitely liked this movie and this prank is a classic one from the director and really goes hand in hand with his personality. On to the prank, turns out that David Fincher, director of Fight Club, thought it would be funny to use the menu from a sweet bubble-gum romance — the farthest possible thing from the very dark “Fight Club” — that was a much bigger box office success when both films were released in 1999.

With that being said, don’t be shocked when you load up your new Blu-ray version of director David Fincher’s 1999 cult classic “Fight Club” this holiday season and the menu screen appears to be from the Drew Barrymore romantic comedy “Never Been Kissed.” It turns out it’s all a prank by Fincher.

Critics that were sent a review copy of the new Blu-ray were specifically asked not to disclose the joke before it went on sale this past Tuesday. Apparently, the first rule of “Fight Club” still stands: you do not talk about “Fight Club.” Gotta love the Director, David Fincher.

I learned at a really young age that you cannot control people or nature and how it evolves. It’s an impossible task, and you will drive yourself nuts trying to do it.

If you repeatedly make mistakes and don’t learn from them, then that’s a rocky path. But if you burn the shit out of yourself and then go, “O.K., that hurt, but I’ve got it now,” then you can go on.

The truth is, I know it can all fucking go away again in a heartbeat. That’s why I will always be grateful for every job I get. And about life, what do you do? Do you become a cloistered nun and not live your life because of the fear of what people might think or say?

That last one about not living your life because of fear of what people might say … that is touching a nerve. I need to think about that. Isn’t she just the best? Pure sunshine, I’m serious!

We’re living in the land of the re-make. Movies, TV, music…where did all the original ideas go? Variety recently announced that ABC is extremely close to green-lighting a pilot for a modern version of “Charlie’s Angels.” Original 70’s series producer Leonard Goldberg is on board with Drew Barrymore, who produced and starred in the motion picture version of the show.

I have to admit, I’m a sucker for remakes. “90210” and “Melrose Place” take up significant space on my DVR. The new old series “V” premiered to a huge audience. However, there have been a few bombs. (Did anyone watch “Knight Rider” or “The Bionic Woman?” Yikes.)

Aaron Spelling (RIP), Angels producer extraordinaire and Hollywood icon, attempted to revive the show for Fox in 1988, calling it “Angels 88.” It never took off. He did, however, produce “90210″ in its place. Thank you, Aaron! In 2000, Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu donned leather bodysuits for the big screen version, which became a box office smash and spawned a sequel.

I was a Television & Film Production major at Syracuse, and spent hours in the classroom dissecting old TV shows. “Mary Tyler Moore,” “The Love Boat,” “St. Elsewhere,” “Hill Street Blues”… where are those remakes? So bring it on ABC… you never fail to impress. (Well, except with “Commander and Chief” and “Emily’s Reasons Why Not” … but I digress.) The new version of “Charlie’s Angels” is expected to pay homage to the past series while also being geared towards the new generation of TV-watchers. Perhaps they can sign Eliza Dushku, Lindsay Price or Rebecca Romijn? (Note: “Dollhouse” and “Eastwick” were both recently cancelled.) Whatever ABC decides, I hope they got Farrah’s blessing.

Então decidi fazer uma mini-galeria com algumas imagens de inspiração.

Esse batom mais clarinho da Rihanna é um bafo! Sou doida com essa cor e acho que ficou bastante nela. Ela gosta muito de um batom rosa e acho muito legal, especialmente para aquelas meninas que acham que não combinam com a cor. O legal é justamente brincar com o contraste da pele.

Acho que o mais legal de tudo é que ela não tem medo de arriscar, não acham? Essa cor, um pink mais escuro, ficou lindíssimo nela.

Camilla Belle é outra que adora um batom rosinha. Esse tom mais clarinho é muito lindo! Fica uma graça para as mais branquinhas, uma coisa meio apagada…

…E me lembra bastante esse look da Drew Barrymore, lindo de morrer e muito #snobfellings. Acho que essa cor de batom é, com certeza uma das minha preferidas.

Kate Perry arrasa no batom cor-de-rosa. Ela gosta muito de usá-los com o look no estilo pin-up dela e eu acho o máximo (confesso que tenho medo dela nessa foto). E combina muito com ela, não acham? Ela trabalha bastante com o contraste com a cor da pele, assim como a Rihanna e fica muito bonito.

As you can tell I suppose I love making collages, and lately I’ve been really inspired by movements of garments and how elegant a woman looks wearing a flowy dress. I remembered in an ELLE issue there was the spread of Drew Barrymore with the under water shoot and I loved it and looked up other pictures of underwater shoots.
