It’s such a nice feel. No wonder I have no trouble picking it up. I’m on the increase/decrease shaping now. Drops is not the easiest to understand but I’m figuring it out. They write like the old patterns and one needs to be constantly aware of where in the pattern a button hole must be placed, or how many inches / centimeters have been knit. Keeps me on my toes!

Here go this week’s recommended fantasy transactions.  Of course there could be better guys available in certain leagues, and if so, by all means take them first.  I don’t list every single guy that I probably could here, just the ones that stood out to me this week.  The percentage next to each player’s name is their ownership percentage in Yahoo! leagues at time of posting.

PICK UPS:

• QB Matt Cassel, KC (50%) – Ever since they parted ways with LJ, the offense has opened up more and he’s been playing alright.  Chris Chambers is making plays and Charles is a great receiver out of the backfield.  A favorable schedule down the stretch after this week helps too [SD, Den, Buf, Cle].
• QB Vince Young, Ten (23%) – I don’t believe I’m actually recommending VY, but if I am, you know he must be doing well.  Had a bad game fantasy wise on Monday, but looked good, and still managed 16 points.  He won’t light it up, but should rock at least 15 per week for you.
• WR Mohamed Massaquoi, Cle (17%) – Yes I said to drop him last week, but things change.  He’s really the only real receiving threat the Browns have, and if they really are going to open up the offense more, then he’s the guy.  I’m not super high on him, as I don’t trust the Browns offense to keep producing even half as well as they did against Detroit and it’s likely he could disappear again.  However, his one other big game this year before last week was against a solid Bengals defense and this week they play at Cincy.  Give him a go if you’re desperate.  If he fails this week, it’s back to the scrap heap for him.
• WR Robert Meachem, NO (50%) – He’s scored double digit fantasy points three straight weeks now.  He really seems to be separating himself a bit from the pack of Saints receivers to become their true #2 behind Colston.  The second option in that passing attack is definitely worth not just having, but starting on most any fantasy team.
• WR Chris Chambers, KC (64%) – This is the last time I’ll mention him.  The Chiefs offense is starting to gel and with Dwayne Bowe suspended, he’s their top receiver.  Didn’t get in the end zone last week, but was a frequent target and made some plays to the tune of 119 yards receiving.
• WR Pierre Garcon, Ind (67%) – The can make plays, and Peyton Manning keeps looking his way.  Double digits the last two weeks and as long as he keeps getting chances he’ll cash in on enough to be a worthy starter for a lot of teams.
• RB Jason Snelling, Atl (81%) – If you need a running back and missed out on him and his two TDs last week, shame on you.  He may not be the best back ever (just 3ypc last week), but as long as Turner is out he’ll be productive.  If he’s still available in your league, get him now.
• RB Justin Forsett, Sea (82%) – More people jumping on the Forsett bandwagon than I thought might be.  He was nonexistent running the ball against Minnesota last week (just 9 yards), but had a TD and was huge in the pass game with 80 yards receiving.  Really good to see he can be productive even when the O-line can’t block for him.  Even when Jones comes back, he should still get the bulk of the work.  Oh, and he gets to face the Rams this week.
• RB Rock Cartwright, Was (26%) – I’m not as high on him as I was for Ladell Betts, but Portis is still out and he’ll be getting the start against Philly this week.  If you’re desperate for a RB this week, he’s not a bad play.  Had 67 yards on 13 carries and 6 receptions for 73 yards last week after Betts went down for the season.
• TE Kevin Boss, NYG (47%) – Has come back to life in the second half of the season, and with Eli looking healthy again he has a chance to catch TDs.  Got two of them last week to go along with 76 yards.
• Others – Nothing particularly relevant happened with these guys last week, but they’re available in 3/4 of Yahoo! Leagues, and should be owned more than they are.  If they’re out there, go get ‘em: QB David Gerrard, Jax (68%); WR Kevin Walter, Hou (73%); WR Mike Wallace, Pit (73%); WR Laveranues Coles, Cin (58%); WR Donnie Avery, StL (56%); RB Justin Fargas, Oak (32%).

DON”T ADD:

• QB Brady Quinn, Cle (5%) – He still sucks and won’t get to play Detroit again this year.  With Cincinnati, San Diego, and Pittsburg coming up, it’ll be back to single digit fantasy outputs.
• QB Matthew Stafford, Det (18%) – Same as Quinn.  He was injured in the Browns game and might not even be able to play Green Bay on a short week for the Thanksgiving Day game.  The schedule is pretty tough the rest of the year for the Lions too.

DROP:

• RB Bernard Scott, Cin (61%) – Had a great game last week with 119 rushing and 32 receiving, but Benson will be back this week.  Back to the bench for Scott and his fantasy value.
• RB Marshawn Lynch, Buf (88%) – He just hasn’t been able to get it going this year after that three game suspension.  He’s actually getting worse each week and put up negative points last week before being injured in the second quarter.  Their line is awful and he’s not getting his mojo back this season.
• RB Julius Jones, Sea (81%) – I was shocked to see him still owned in 81% of leagues.  The guy just isn’t that good and needs a great offensive line to play well.  He doesn’t have that in Seattle, and on top of that is hurt.  He’s back in practice on a limited basis now, but his status for next week is questionable.  Even when he is healthy again, he should be losing a ton of carries to Forsett.
• RB Larry Johnson, Cin (71%) – For the love of god, let him go!  He couldn’t get it done in KC with 20 carries a game.  Now he’s the fourth string back in Cincinnati getting next to no touches.  I didn’t think this warranted mantioning, but 71% ownership?!  Cut him even if you don’t pick up a replacement, he’s that bad.
• Aside for the guys above, here is a list of guys owned in over half of leagues that could use some dropping.  I’m not saying you have to cut them now, it depends on your league, but don’t expect much if anything the rest of the way: WR Santana Moss, Was (87%); WR Johnny Knox, Chi (66%); WR Eddie Royal, Den (61%); WR Torry Holt, Jax (60%); Willis McGahee, Bal (67%); RB Donald Brown, Ind (66%); RB Ladell Betts, Was (54%).

A festa conhecida por ser bem frequentada por meninas bonitas e gente descolada, retorna em novembro com uma edição de surpresas. Além dos residentes Leka Peres, Mari Leone, Rachel Mancini e João Fabra, a festa recebe o estilista e DJ Marcelo Sommer, misturando referências de electro e rock no seu set. Logo depois os amigos de longa data da festa Bruno Peras e Denis Polizzi entram no som com um mix de black, disco e surpresinhas. Carol Ponce é a Hostess da noite.

A festa ouioui rola no casarão florentino da década de 30, e difere das outras baladas na hora de pagar a comanda. No começo da festa forma-se uma fila para pagar a entrada e dizer quanto você vai querer em dinheiro da balada (no melhor estilo do Banco Imobiliário), assim não é necessário a loooonnnga fila no final da noite. Caso queira comprar mais dinheirinhos, precisa apenas ir ao caixa, sem muita espera.

Os ambientes são bem distribuídos, embora a grande concentração das pessoas fica na pequena mas animada pista de dança. O fumódromo não é apenas um quadrado, com senhas para ir aliviar a pressão, o grande jardim da entrada é o local para soltar fumaça e conversar com os amigos.

O andar de cima da casa, é destinado aos que querem dar uma pausa e sentar nos sofás, pedir uma bebida sem a espera do bar principal da casa.

Chris Brown was officially dropped from a track on Timbaland’s new album and sources say the decision wasn’t entirely about the music. A source close to Brown says the singer’s vocals were removed from a song called “The One I Love” due to the “drama” surrounding him. Tim’s manager, Marcus Spence, confirms Brown was dropped from the song — but insists the move was a “creative decision for both parties” adding, “There’s nothing against Chris. We love Chris.”
But according to rapper D.O.E. — who does appear on the track — the song was originally called “Maniac” … but was changed because “some people” didn’t think it would be a good idea to attach Brown to a song with that title.

Funny enough — Timbaland’s album will be released the same day as Brown’s … December 8th.

I’ve been revisiting some of my older shots, applying new techniques I’ve learned and ideas I’ve came up with. Sometimes these work, other times they don’t. This time they didn’t work. Instead of bouncing my flash off a reflector at 45 degrees above the water drops, I tried bouncing the flash off a reflector behind the subject and tilted slightly ahead. Later I added another reflector 90 degrees to the side. Regardless, I still got harsh highlights at the head of the shot. Adding reflectors, changing the angles of the reflectors, changing distance between flash and reflectors, and changing the exposure in camera couldn’t eliminate the highlights. My previous lighting set up worked much better.

Ja jeg vet, jeg har vært forferdelig lenge borte. Sist jeg ga lyd fra meg så klaget jeg over forkjølelse, lykkelig uvitende om at jeg noen dager etter virkelig skulle få ting å klage over. Det har skjedd en tragedie i vennekretsen min. To gode venner av meg mistet brått sitt eldste barn den 1. November. Så det har vært en tung tid, håndarbeid og blogging har måttet vike for tunge tanker og en følelse av uvirkelighet.

Nå tenkte jeg altså å blogge litt igjen, har har faktisk fått tilbakemeldinger om at folk venter på nye innlegg.

Derfor skal jeg vise frem litt av julegavene jeg har laget. Kan ikke legge ut alle enda naturligvis, og i tillegg har jeg flere prosjekter på gang eller som er nesten ferdige.

Prøvde meg på et par heklede votter, ut i fra eget hode. Disse er tovet, og har en usannsynlig lang tommel. Men jeg gir dem bort likevel, for det er så fine farger på dem

Har blitt noen pannebånd også, raske og enkle gaver. Populære blant fjortisene er de også.

Ja, så har jeg faktisk ikke glemt strikkekunsten helt, oppi all heklingen. Strikket et par tøfler i Eskimo, etter oppskrift fra Drops. Har heklet to lilla blomster, men har ikke festet dem ennå.

Nei jeg har ikke klumpfot, jeg bare bøyer foten på en rar måte for å briefe med tattisen.

Det var alt for i dag, nå er jeg trøtt og skal sannelig sove litt. Tidlig opp i morgen for å kjøre fjortisen til reggistannlegen. Vi var der i dag også, en dag for tidlig. Flaut.

Anne-Marie har inspirert meg. Jeg ønsket egentlig noe litt gyldnere, men pytt, det blir fint dette også. Særlig hvis jeg holder litt igjen på det rosa.  Det er hyggelig, og jeg får det visst til

Spent some time today working on a new gallery….(I have a lot of work to do yet before I’m done) but I did find some time to have some fun…

Blue Drop

This is getting depressing: another wet weekend and more to the point, blowing a gale. So a chance for some spanner time in the garage… fitting new chain ring, mudguards, light brackets. So much for machine maintenance… now for the body. I’m trying some exercises for the core muscles… I am a bit suspicious as they seem a little ‘light’, but I’m assured they will do the job and help protect my creaky back.

Contrary to what should happen, I get back twinges using my flat bars not with my drops… and yes I have optimised my riding position. I think it is years of riding on drops; only recently have I started using flat bars for riding around and I guess my back is not used to them. It feels just wrong to me climbing on flat bars, so I guess I am not adopting the best position.

So, I’ll continue with the exercises… even ‘the bug’ if I must!
