Q: With these interviews, we hope to prepare aspiring businesspeople to reach for greater heights. What position do you currently hold?

Dustin Mauldin: I facilitate estate sales for clients through Chicago Luxury Sales, which I founded in 2010.

Q: What is your educational background?

Dustin Mauldin: I majored in Communication Studies at Northwestern University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science. I went to Northwestern on a full athletic scholarship in wrestling, and as an undergraduate there I continued wrestling and engaged in off-season activities like coaching at athletic camps; I also received a marketing internship.

Q: How did wrestling benefit your burgeoning business career?

Dustin Mauldin: Success in any sport requires hard work and discipline. The opportunity to earn a college scholarship by excelling in my chosen sport was an especially valuable experience. I carried my focus and work ethic over into my career, which paid off in many ways.

Q: What positions prepared you for your current position at Chicago Luxury Sales?

Dustin Mauldin: One of my most important positions was Manager Trainee at EZ Leasing. I pitched an idea I had to a GE executive and was hired as the first employee for Cottonwood Financial/The Cash Store. I helped establish the company’s first 18 stores and oversaw operational procedures. That firsthand business management experience taught me many industry lessons and principles that I apply today at Chicago Luxury Sales.

Dustin Mauldin is Managing Partner at AmeriCash Loans. In his role as Managing Partner, Mauldin takes the protection of customers very seriously. Recently, the Illinois Attorney General alerted businesses and consumers to a new scam involving the loan industry. The scam starts with a caller posing as a debt collector for consumer loans. The caller has access to personal information, including social security numbers and banking information. The caller claims to work on behalf of consumer loan companies, such as AmeriCash, and demands payment.

AmeriCash Loans has had no security breaches. The company is working in full cooperation with the authorities to help resolve the matter. In the meantime, if you receive a call from a debt collector, be sure to verify the debt, the caller’s location, phone number, and extension. Please call AmeriCash Loans at (877) 304-2274, extension 8020, to report the call.
