It’s a wrap!…that’s TV lingo for “we’re done!” What an awesome experience and fabulous week. I truly feel beautiful for the first time! I mean, that might sound silly, but it’s really the first time I felt and was able to say out loud, “I feel beautiful!” and genuinely mean it AND not feel like I was bragging–because I OWNED it.*snap*snap*snap* (can you hear the attitude already?!)

The day started with us going to Pasadena to meet an expert to the stars like Halle Berry, Carmen Electra, and Tyra banks (just to name a few hotties), and I got my *** done by him. He was super cute and he made me look amazing! It’s something I’ve always wanted done but didn’t know was possible. He gave me a great *** and then a relaxed and sexy ***…and PA-POW! Just like that *snap of the fingers* I was instantly glamified.

After our first shoot it was off to the E! Style G4 studios to get glammin’ and slammin’ for the last shoot. I got all dolled up in my outfit, my heels, my earrings, got my makeup done, and it was back on “white space” where I started my first day. Here, I got to share (or SHOUT!) what I loved about my “day” and how amazing I felt.

Honestly, this whole week has been like one huge therapeutic session in the form of fun and entertainment with an underlying theme of: Beauty comes from within. I learned that I need to truly love myself–not in a conceited way, but to truly and genuinely know that I’m enough, that I DESERVE to be happy, and that I’m worth it. Each day I was in awe about how much time and energy these people have put into helping ME! ‘Lil ‘ole me! When the cameras, the lights, and all the equipment had to get set up each day, I was always in awe that this was all to shoot ME! That experts were lined up to teach and show me how to feel and look beautiful. I’ve NEVER had so much attention and energy put into me…and it felt AWESOME! I felt so special. Through this whole process this week with the experts and with everyone I met, I got to SEE myself in a whole new light. I got to see myself as a mature WOMAN. I feel and look beautiful and I’m fully ready to OWN it. When I started to share this on camera, the crew and producers started getting all teary eyed and it was such a genuine moment of witnessing ME fully stepping into my womanhood and owning it.

I feel strong. I feel confident. And most of all, I feel beautiful on the inside and on the outside. I’m so ready to take on the world, firmly rooted, confident, owning me, committed to me and where I stand. MMMMEOW…hear me roar, I am STELLA(R)!

Fashion Icon & Pop superstar Rihanna is gracing the September issue of Vogue Italia. The cover gives me everything, I cant wait for the rest of the spread.

Setelah menunggu selama beberapa minggu, akhirnya Ubuntu 7.10 dengan nama sandi Gutsy Gibbon dirilis pada hari Kamis, 18 Oktober 2007. Seminggu sebelum perilisan Gutsy, saya sudah melakukan pemesanan CD lewat ShipIt. CD yang saya pesan itu sudah disetujui oleh Canonical dan telah dikirim pada tanggal 16 Oktober lalu dengan masa pengiriman antara 2 – 4 minggu.

Penasaran dengan fitur baru yang terdapat pada Gutsy (terutama Compiz Fusion-nya yang telah terintegrasi ^^), saya langsung mengunduh arsip image CD versi Desktop-nya, baik yang i386 (32-bit) maupun AMD64 (64-bit) di kampus saya. Proses pengunduhan ini sendiri tidak berjalan dengan lancar. Pada awalnya, saya mengunduh dari tempat unduh resminya, yaitu di http://releases.ubuntu.com, tetapi ternyata server tersebut cukup “sibuk” dalam melayani permintaan unduh dari klien yang lain. Akhirnya saya mencoba menggunakan server mirror lokal, yaitu http://kambing.ui.edu, dan ternyata saya mendapatkan kecepatan unduh yang cukup bagus dari server tersebut.

Selesai dengan proses pengunduhan, saya langsung membakar arsip image tersebut ke dalam CD menggunakan laptop VAIO VGN-SZ430N yang baru saya beli 3 minggu sebelumnya ^^. Proses bakar selesai, saya lalu melakukan restart.

Pada layar awal setelah booting dari CD, saya terlebih dahulu memilih menu “Check CD Content” (atau menu semacam itulah … saya lupa ^^;). Proses pengecekan integritas CD ini penting untuk menghindari kegagalan pada instalasi Ubuntu nantinya. Setelah menunggu selama kurang lebih 7 menit, Ubuntu memberitahukan bahwa CD yang saya gunakan sudah cukup baik. Setelah itu, Ubuntu meminta untuk melakukan restart.

Setelah restart, saya memilih menu “Start Live CD” pada menu booting dari CD ini. Setelah masuk ke dalam tampilan Live CD-nya, saya langsung mengklik 2 kali pada icon “Install”. Sama seperti Feisty, pertama kali saya harus menentukan lokasi saya terlebih dahulu untuk menyesuaikan zona waktu. Saya pilih “Jakarta”. Pada layar berikutnya (pemilihan model keyboard), saya langsung mengklik “Next”.

Pada layar dialog tentang Partisi, saya pilih “Manual”, karena saya sudah mengalokasikan sebuah partisi kosong (30 GB) untuk Ubuntu 7.10 ini. Saya klik pada “free space”, lalu saya klik “New Partition”. Saya pilih “Logical”, lalu saya ganti “ext3? menjadi “swap”, karena saya berencana untuk membuat partisi “swap” terlebih dahulu. Untuk ukuran partisi, saya memasukkan “2048? (2 GB).
Selesai dengan partisi swap, saya membuat partisi baru pada partisi yang tersisa. Saya pilih “Primary” (agar bisa di-booting) dan “ext3?. Untuk Mount Point, saya masukkan “/” (tanda garis miring) sebagai penanda bahwa partisi tersebut adalah yang partisi “root” (utama).

Setelah itu saya klik “Next”, dan masuk ke layar dialog migrasi yang menampilkan seluruh akun saya pada Windows XP. Saya memutuskan untuk tidak mengimpor apapun dari akun saya tersebut, jadi saya langsung mengklik “Next”. Pada layar berikutnya, saya memasukkan Username dan Password saya, lalu saya klik “Next”. Setelah layar konfirmasi instalasi tampil, saya klik “Next” lagi. Proses instalasi dimulai ^^.

Pada saat progress bar mencapai angka 85%, sebuah pesan kesalahan muncul. Isinya kira-kira adalah: “Tidak dapat melakukan update keamanan”. Saya menduga pesan kesalahan ini ditampilkan karena Ubuntu tidak dapat melakukan update karena tidak ada koneksi internet. Setelah saya mengklik “OK”, proses instalasi dilanjutkan.

Setelah proses instalasi selesai, Ubuntu menanyakan apakah kita ingin langsung melakukan restart atau tetap menggunakan Live CD untuk saat ini. Saya pilih “Restart”. Setelah itu, Ubuntu meminta untuk mengeluarkan CD, agar nantinya sistem tidak melakukan booting dari CD lagi.

Sistem lalu menampilkan layar pemilihan sistem operasi dengan GRUB. Di situ juga tampil sistem operasi Windows XP yang telah terinstalasi sebelumnya. Saya langsung memilih pilihan pertama. Kesan pertama setelah Ubuntu berhasil di-booting adalah …. Brightness dan Constrast yang ditampilkan Ubuntu tinggi sekali. Resolusi layar yang ditampilkan pun tidak widescreen. Bagaimana solusinya? –bersambung ke bagian 2–

pertama, anda cukup navigate prompt anda di tempat aplikasi mysql.exe anda disimpan. Selanjutnya anda dapat mengaksesnya dengan mengetik mysql -h <nama host anda> -u <nama user anda> -p <password kalau ada>

lalu anda akan mendapatkan prompt mysql> Jika anda masih belum mengerti atau tidak hafal dengan sintax mysql anda dapat menuliskan help atau /h. Disana anda akan diberikan beberapa pilihan yang dapat anda cari lebih jauh. Cara lain adalah dengan mengetikkan sintax yang anda tidak mengerti dengan menuliskan help <sintax> lalu tekan enter.

Dari command prompt ini, anda dapat mencoba beberapa script yang anda perlu gunakan atau untuk mengakses database yang anda inginkan melalui command prompt.

Diddy held his annual White this week in an unusual place, LA. The party which is usually held in The Hamptons, was a star packed event filled with everyone from Chris Brown to Ashton Kutcher.

If you are a twitter head like myself, then you know that you could have watched the whole event live on Ustream. Yes, Ustream and I was watching it lol the party was actually cool and the camera guy got us great footage. We saw Chris & Teyana dancing to Michael Jackson and Ashton almost falling into the pool while playing on a all white swing that hung over the pool. The even was celebrity packed and was @ a beautiful location.

R&B singer Ciara was spotted hosting her official after party for her Performance @ The Pearl where she opened for Jay-Z. She looks beautiful but that top annoys the hell out of me, why is that long, wrinkled up piece of the shirt just dangling?? Lol….It’s said that a few celebs came through but most of the celebrities went to Lebron James & Jay-Z’s big celebrity dinner after the performance.

Up & Coming model and Kanye West’s girlfriend Amber Rose was spotted in NY with a new turquoise hair color. Umm Yeah, Amber has a great body, cute face & a nice swag..But that hair color has to Go!

The gorgeous and very talented Kelly Rowland was spotted performing at the Viper Room in Europe. Happy she changed that curly style to this one, this is was sexier and more sophisticated.

The gorgeous Rihanna was seen last night going out to dinner with Leonardo DiCaprio and Mickey Rourke.  She was also seen in her favorite tattoo shop, but wasn’t getting a tattoo, she was learning how to do them. She then proceeded to tattoo little umbrellas with R’s in them on at least four different people. These pictures are of the first people she tattooed when she first picked up the needle.

This weeks Bad Bitch goes to no other than the style icon herself Robyn Rihanna Fenty. Salam tadi salah satu yang kadang kita ucapkan ketika bertemu dengan orang asing menggunakan bahasa inggris. Hmm, ketika berbicara bahasa inggris sering kita menemui beberapa kosakata yang tidak kita kenal sebelumnya. Maklum, karena kita bukan native english speaker. Bahasa ibu kita tidak banyak menggunakan vocabulary bahasa inggris. Itulah makanya kita perlu kamus. Buku sakti untuk menterjemahkan bahasa asing (kamus tidak hanya bahasa inggris).

Beruntung, kecanggihan teknologi telah mempermudah penggunanya memanfaatkan berbagai resource informasi. Kamus pun telah dikembangkan dalam bentuk software. Bahkan sudah banyak software penterjemah bahasa asing. Namun, perlu kita sadari keterbatasan software penterjemah yang masih belum relatif “sempurna” mengubah teks bahasa asing menjadi bahasa yang sehari-hari kita. Bagaimanapun tetap diperlukan keberadaan “buku Cakti” ato saya sebut kamus (maaf hiperbola sedikit ). Disini saya akan memperkenalkan kamus yang saya gunakan saat ini, Kamus 2.0. For about years ago, having personal web need a lot of effort. Registering our own web addres uri, build our own web codes, and preparing storages to save the sites. One personal page may expenses a lot of money. But now we know blog. It is abbreviation of web log. Blog server like wordpress, blogspot, and so on make individual ease to create their own personal page. Just as connect and click we can personalize our page.

Ok, right now i am talking about blog editing. It will be more effective for us to edit our blog post on our desktop offline. Then we will save our time to wait for internet access, and we can store our articles at desktop application as much as we want.

There are several application to be used but i just find blogdesk at first and feel so comfort with it. It need little configuration and whalla, i have my blog on my desktop. Here is the screenshot :

We’re currently testing a new feature, providing clients with the ability to add “Share-2-Social” links within their email campaigns.

For example, someone receives an email campaign from you and wants to share it with all their friends on Facebook. They simple click a link within your email campaign that says “Share to Facebook” and we take care of the rest.

They can add a message if they want to, something like, “Hey guys, saw this great email that you should view!”

A message is then displayed on their Facebook wall for all their friends to see, those friends can all then see your email campaign and sign up for themselves!

In a time when send-to-a-friend responses are falling, we’ve come up trumps again with a tool to drive address book growth.

Grateful for thoughts on this feature. We’re testing it at the moment with one of our high profile fashion retail clients, I’ll report back in a few days…..

We get asked a lot if email is dying?  Will it be replaced by a more mobile and user friendly method of communication?  Well the simple answer is no email is not dying, but it certainly is changing.

The recession and social media will both have an impact on the email marketing world this year.
