Weapon of choice cand vine vorba de telefon mobil. Am cumparat acest telefon datorita faptului ca are un design interesant din punctul meu de vedere. Un design care nu te jeneaza atunci cand il tii in buzunar. Si nici cand il scoti pe masa(lucru pe care nu il fac atunci cand merg la bar/restaurant/disco ) Bateria ma tine aproximativ doua zile in conditiile in care il folosesc ,zic eu, ca o persoana obisnuita. Camera de 2 mp nu cred ca are rost sa o aducem in discutie pentru ca pentru a face poze folosesc un Nikon D60 despre care probabil va voi spune intr-un post viitor. Mi se pare jenant sa faci poze cu camera acestui telefon in zilele noastre . Telefonul ruleaza Symbian, lucru care ma cam scoate din sarite si ma face sa ma gandesc sa revin la vechiul 6300, insa acela zace in sertar ca nu prea mai aude bine. Ar trebui sa ii schimb casca cred. In fine, sa revenim la E51. Cica ar face parte din clasa bussines si este fratele mai mare al lui E50, care mi se pare cam teapa. In ansamblu, E51 este un telefon ok. Din toate “smecheriile” pe care stie sa le faca, eu unul il pun sa faca doar surfing pe net wireless cand plictiseala la bodega devine insuportabila, lucru care mi se intampla destul de rar. Singurul lucru pentru care voi renunta la el este sistemul de operare care se misca destul de greoi. Uneori atat de greoi incat trebuie sa il sting si sa il reaprind. Lucru pe care l-am sesizat si la alti prieteni care au acest model. Ah, si in plus ca ma scoate din sarita lumina tastaturii care se aprinde numai cand vrea ea. In the spate of just two days Nokia has released firmware updates for two of its N-Series offerings and three of the E-Series devices.

Out these five the N97 has a detailed change log while the the N96 has been discussed here. The updates to E71, E66 and E51 have no change log accompanying them and thus seem to have no major updates, just the normal speed improvements and stability.

The E71, E66 and E51 are S60V3.1 and thus do not have the over the air update facility like the N97 and N96. Also since E71, E66 and E51 are S60 Feature Pack 1, they also do not have the User Data Preservation so do remember to make a back up of the phones data before proceeding with the update.

lately, on my nokia e51, i was wondering why i can’t find the dialled numbers, missed & received calls. i tried to clear the log to no effect. i tried to explore the latest changes that i did, brought it back to the orig settings that still worked, but still no effect.

so i had to find a way to soft reset my phone. for the information of the readers, the difference between soft and hard rest is…

soft reset only brings back the factory settings. all the other data is retained.

hard reset will format the phone, and therefore lose all the other data stored in it. it will consequently bring back the settings to the original factory settings.

so, successfully i was able to bring back the original settings and tada! i now have the logs of my calls, etc. the downside of this is, i have to reconfigure the settings i used to have, e.g. the shortcuts of the four buttons, the shortcuts of the left and right buttons, the theme, the alarms, beeps, and some other more settings.

above all these, i now have my logs functioning well again.

for the benefit of bantay bata 163, este reader, the code for soft reset is *#7780#… the code for hard reset is *#7370#…

warning! if you don’t know how to do it, dont even think of doing it.
