<p><a href="https://wolfcrochet.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/yarn-bag2.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-2838" title="Yarn Bag2" src="https://wolfcrochet.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/yarn-bag2.jpg?w=300&#038;h=278" alt="" width="300" height="278" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><a href="https://wolfcrochet.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/yarn-bag1.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-2837" title="Yarn Bag1" src="https://wolfcrochet.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/yarn-bag1.jpg?w=225&#038;h=300" alt="" width="225" height="300" /></a></p>
<h3 style="text-align:justify;">You can see from the photos that I brought a huge yarn bag with me to Florida.  I had pictured myself sitting by the pool knitting or crocheting the day away.  But somehow, the warm humid weather here is not very conducive to yarn work outside.  Add the fact that we are spending some quality time with my parents and the crochet has really been on the back burner.</h3>
<h3 style="text-align:justify;">But today I finished my Tempo Yarn project and I decided to call it the Up-Tempo Vest.</h3>
<p style="text-align:center;"><a href="https://wolfcrochet.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/up-tempo-vestz.jpg"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-2839" title="Up Tempo Vestz" src="https://wolfcrochet.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/up-tempo-vestz.jpg?w=387&#038;h=517" alt="" width="387" height="517" /></a></p>
<h1 style="text-align:left;">Please Note:  I have edited this PDF pattern to change the amount of yarn needed.  Please download the new version.</h1>
<h3 style="text-align:left;"></h3>
<h3 style="text-align:left;">This vest is crocheted very loosely with an L hook so it drapes beautifully.  The ribbing looks a bit droopy in the photo but is actually fine.   Tempo is labeled as a size 4 yarn, however, it works up more like a DK weight yarn.  I believe it received the size 4 label because of the nubs and slubs that make this cotton/acrylic yarn so attractive.  You can see that it shades subtlely from darker to lighter.</h3>
<h3 style="text-align:left;">You can&#8217;t ask for an easier project!  I simply made two long strips in half-double crochet and folded them in half, seamed them together at the back and sides and voila! A vest!  The ribbing is optional.  Once I had finished my strips I wanted a bit more length but you can start out with longer strips as an alternative.</h3>
<h3 style="text-align:left;">Since this fabric is so loose it stretches quite a bit lengthwise and crosswise.  The finished measurements are 42&#8243; Bust and 26&#8243; Length.  The vest is meant to be worn open so the front panels will not meet across the bust.</h3>
