Pete and I are up in Cambridge, Mass this week because Pete is taking a class at MIT (oooh, fancy!). His company sent him here for a week-long lecture on Fermentation (I won’t pretend to understand.) Since the room is already paid for, I decided to tag along so I could goof off. 577 more words
It can be very overwhelming when faced with all the contradicting information from the food industry. In the past couple days, I have read an article that says that it doesn’t matter if you eat organic or not and then an article that said the it matters a lot if you eat organic and both articles were citing the same case study! 193 more words
A couple snippets from the summer so far…
Did you know July 15th is the halfway point of summer, according to meteorologists? It’s been a great first half of summer, and the time has been absolutely flying by. I’ve been trying to stay healthy and get outside, made easier by delicious fresh fruit and long sunny days. I’ve also had extra time for slow weekend mornings and afternoons playing with new additions to the apartment. M came to visit for a long weekend, and we had the best time – kayaking white rock lake, indulging in In-N-Out Burger and exploring new parts of Dallas. Summer trends like breezy knit shorts and pineapple patterns made getting dressed exciting. And good friends plus good food (all american hamburgers, hotdogs and s’mores!) made for the perfect July 4th celebration! My parents are in town right now and we’ve gotten to explore some brand new parts of Dallas. I’ll be updating you here about their visit soon.
How’s your summer been lately?
