If you are running an eBay business,you may not
realize that the need for great customer service still
exists – even for online auctions. When a buyer
receives quality customer service from you, they
will potentially do one of two things – or both. They
will give you great feedback, and they may look for
more of your auctions in the future. If you hope to
make a living from eBay, you have to stop thinking
of it as an ‘auction’ and start running it like a
‘business.’

If you owned a brick and mortar business, how
would you treat your customer while they were
standing at your counter, waiting for you to finish
ringing up their order? You would be helpful and
respectful of course! You would do everything that
you could to guarantee that customers return to
your establishment in the future. You would bend
over backwards to make sure that their buying
experience with you was both satisfactory and
enjoyable. Why would you do any less at the
close of one of your eBay auctions?

First, act quickly at the close of your auctions.
Contact the winner, and congratulate them. Describe
the item they have won and how the item will be
shipped – even if this information is already part of
the description for the auction. Remind them of their
winning bid amount, and give them payment options
and instructions. Let them know when the item will
be shipped.

Close your email by thanking them for participating
in your auction. You might even take this opportunity
to tell them about other open auctions that you have
as well. Think of this contact with the winner as a
conversation that you are having with a customer
who is standing at your counter in that imaginary
brick and mortar store.

Once the payment and shipping details have been
taken care of, contact your buyer again. Let them
know when the item was shipped – the exact date
and time – and when it is expected to arrive on their
end. During this contact, let them know that if they
have any problems or questions, that they should
contact you through the eBay site. If they do
contact you in the future, make sure that you
answer promptly, and that you do all that you can
to make them happy with their purchase – even if
it means issuing a refund.

Yes. You should be open to issuing refunds,
depending on what the item is. Furthermore, you
should issue refunds promptly. Of course, it is
reasonable to expect the buyer to return the item to
you, at your expense, before the refund is issued –
but once you receive the item, issue the refund
promptly. This is just good business!

This morning we were able to obtain additional screen-shots of eBay Live listings flowing through the front of eBay core. The listings below are of one seller conducting two eBay Live Auctions under two eBay user names.

It simply gets more amazing with each click of a mouse on eBay. The listings below were taken from the first 6 pages of eBay core search using the search term “sapphire rings”. Out of 300 results, 64 eBay Live Auctions lots were at the head of eBay core within the first six pages - for just one seller (with two eBay user names) operating two live auctions - a few hours apart.

It’s gets better. Paramount is listing a total of 566 lots for sale and Jewelry Overstock Auctions is listing 571 lots for sale. Let’s do the math. Both auction houses combined are offering 1137 lots. Now, let’s divide the total cost of both auction catalogs into the number of lots being offered. The cost for each catalog is $300.00 (x’s 2) = $600.00 to list 1137 lots (at the front of eBay core). Total cost to list each item is JUST $0.52 CENTS (approx) per listing! It’s no wonder millions of dollars in revenues can be achieved when using a listing option/tool only known to two sellers on the eBay Live Auctions platform.

The potential market for My Shopping Genie is huge and just perhaps this can live up to some of the potential that programs hype all the time. If someone is just an eager ebayer, the software will save them a ton of time in searching for what is available on eBay without actually logging into the eBay site. If someone would like to use the affiliate program to make money and promote the product, the choice is theirs.

Have added the most requested links to the tools button, added a convenient button for the misspelled
typo search $pelling Power..
If you haven’t heard about this kind of eBay search. Many auctions cannot be found and end with little or
no bids, just because they have been spelled incorrectly.
So this search allows you to find these items and all you have to do is spell the item name correctly.
For example playstation. It is very cool.

Also in the toolbar search section are links to going, going gone and Zero bids.

My toolbar does not automate your ebay login or store your login details. I think that is safer.
Does not open popups…Yuk! The FOXtion toolbars are on the Mozilla addons site.

Which items sell the most on eBay?  It’s important to know what’s selling because it tells you how much you can sell.  So before you invest time and money in a niche, check out how well other sellers and products are doing.

Now you can see the top selling items on the eSeller Street search page which uses the eBay API.

This is a really cool example for Mystery Auctions: See Mystery Auctions.  This is the Everything Else category:  See Everything Else

I admit it’s not an easy screen to read.  But it’s handy if you need a list of top selling products. 

Here’s how you interpret the results:

This is a screenshot of the results in the Everything Else category from highest to lowest. 

Listing #1 - This is a classified ad.  eBay counts each “email the seller” as a bid or purchase but they don’t tell me the exact number – thus the “0 bids” in the heading.  This is great because you can’t find this info on eBay.  Who would have known that this is the most contacted Classified Ad in this category?    

Listing #2,3,4 – These are Buy It Now listings.  Each purchase is counted.  Go the the listing on eBay and click on “purchase history” to see the actual amount.  Again, eBay does not tell me the exact number of purchases.

Auctions are counted by bids.   This number is given to me.

You can change the category or narrow by keywords.  First enter keywords and/or category.  Then click -> 1. find most watched, click -> 2. Highest Bids. 

This is a fanastic tool for determining what is actually selling on eBay.
