Move over ecstasy there is a new drug in town called ‘meow meow’ and guess what? It’s friggin legal. The totally “spin you out” hallucinatory drug Mephedrone can be found on the internet under “Plant Fertiliser” . The chemical formula is only one molecule short of ecstasy but is just as deadly. On the streets it is also known as “drone”, “bubble”, and “legal high”. Durham police reported a young man had hallucinated for 18 hours while under the influence of ‘meow meow’ believing centipedes were crawling all over him. It didn’t end well with him eventually ripping off his scrotum ! The drug is banned in Sweden, Israel, Norway and Finland but freely and legally available in the UK.

Families Spared Ravages of Drug Abuse and Drug Addiction.

A drug rehab has found that it is important to not only treat drug addiction, but also prevent drug abuse in young people.

Narconon Drug Rehab of Georgia, a long term drug treatment program, continues to provide drug education to the Boys and Girls Club in Atlanta.  Two hundred and fifty children recently learned about the harmful effects of drugs through a lively presentation of the “Ten Things Your Friends May Not Know About Drugs.”

In the classes given by the drug rehab, the kids learned how drugs affect the mind, make a person slow or stupid, dull the senses and destroy creativity.   They also learned that ecstasy is one of the most dangerous drugs and marijuana is not as innocent as some are led to believe.

A Director of a Boys and Girls Club applauded Narconon Drug Rehab, stating in a recent letter; “As youth-development professionals, we have an obligation to make sure our young people are receiving quality programs that aide them in correcting their bad habits and decision making.  Your program has changed the whole mind set of our  young people. They no longer view drug use as a recreational past time.  This program has taught my teenagers the responsibility of taking care of their bodies, mind, and building healthy relationships with their peers.

Pac Man - who knew?

Uh oh – quick hide the Grand Theft Auto.

The lovely DC Princess does a weekly blog called I LOVE Fridays.  I was inspired by reading her posts each week to write one similar last week called *LOVE*.

I so enjoyed doing the *LOVE* post that I think I might make it a regular event.  Not sure yet but we shall see.  It won’t be on a specific day because, well I have too many days devoted.  And I just can’t commit to that kind of pressure.  HAHA

I won’t however be restricting myself to only “Things” today like I did last time.  Just whatever comes to mind.  Yay!  (say Yay, you know you want to)

Here goes….

I *LOVE* that my ass is all healed!! YAY!!!  (what a freakin’ nightmare that shit was!) SHEEZ!

I *LOVE* that I got soooo many comments, emails, phone calls and messages from people telling me how much I was missed last week!  I was shocked and honored.  And now I have a big head.  Yay!!

I *LOVE* my Jacuzzi bathtub.  Yay!

I *LOVE* that we got all of the shopping done for Thanksgiving today!  No more crazy crowds.  Yay!

I *LOVE* that I got awards from AMAZING bloggers this week.  Thank you Carma Sez!  Thank you Stuperhero Extraordinaire!  And a very belated thank you to MommyBrain and Rudy Family Rukus!   All are great, please check them out.  Yay!

I *LOVE* that someone rushed out of Wal-Mart with such hunger to getiton that they just whipped ripped their “Ecstasy” Trojans out of the box and left the box in the parking lot.  Yay!

I *LOVE* that I stopped to take a picture of the empty Trojan Box thinking ahead that I just had to share my jealousy excitement with all you poor, unsuspecting readers.  *grin* Yay!

I *LOVE* Entourage!! I just started watching it and have made it through to the middle of season 4.  I can’t believe I ever missed this show!!  It is sooooo good!  Yay!!

I *LOVE* that the weather is finally getting cooler.  Wearing long pants is much more socially acceptable when you go 4 weeks without shaving. Haha  Yay!!

I *LOVE* that December is so close now I can taste it!  Because it means TWO things that I *LOVE* are coming.  #1 The holidays!  (and my house gets uber awesome decos for the holidays) And #2 our next round of injections!!  Yay!

I *LOVE* these Suds.  If anyone knows how I can get in touch with them so that they can come to my shower and entertain cheer me on I would surely appreciate it!  Yay!

What a spunion. Honestly, How do you recover from this?

“Sup baby girl? I heard you like em big, and spun.”

Apparently, there is a huge obesity and ecstasy problem in the WWE.

“I swear, if they play AC/DC Bag I’m going to freak out, eat 4 triple stacks, and strip down to my underwear while covering myself in red paint. Might even shit myself later on. The guy next to me already has.”

When you think of birth, what comes to mind?  What feelings move through you?

In an American study that midwife and filmmaker Elena Tonetti-Vladimirova told me about, 95% of women felt that giving birth had been a traumatic experience for them.  Their babies experienced that trauma too since a baby receives its mother’s flow of hormones and the emotions that go with them.  So most Americans born today experience their entry into the world as a very frightening thing.  The flow of Life is associated with terror.  It makes sense then, that  contemporary culture is so resourceful at keeping us disassociated from ourselves.

The thing is, terror and trauma is not what nature intends for us.  When a woman feels safe and her process is not interfered with, she and her baby meet each other in a state of ecstasy.  They are filled with the hormones of love.  Peace and joy are an integral part of birth and all of life.  Peace and joy are our natural state.

Yoga, in its original expression, understands this.  Yoga connects us to the essence of what we are: the joyous movement of Life.  Two mornings ago,  I witnessed this movement in a dramatic way in the 2 hour birth of a 9 1/2 pound baby boy.  It was the mother’s third child and the third time I was with her and her husband.  As with her second, she had dilated quite effortlessly to 4cm the week before.  We knew that when strong contractions came, the birth would happen quickly.  The memory of her amniotic waters gushing from her is clear in my mind.  And the open armed gesture of her son as he lay between her thighs in the moment before she gathered him to her, umbilical cord still attached.

I got an email from a pregnant friend yesterday, thanking me for the birth preparation session I had done with her.  She wrote: “I feel calmer than I have in quite a while.  It was important to look at birth from a normal, natural, healthy, joyous perspective rather than discussing all the things that could go wrong.”  We’re here in order to feel joy.  We’re here to pass it on.

I call with my heart everyday,

So, I have been staring at the interior of my dirty, sticky fridge for… well, if you must know, it’s been about two years. Each day I think, I should really clean that. Well, today I did. I cleaned each tray while unloading groceries and loading the dishwasher. Am I about to deliver? I don’t think quite yet, but I’m really enjoying this insane energy spurt. Not unlike that one time I tried ecstasy (not while pregnant).

Even bluff Yorkshiremen are not immune to shedding the odd tear – just ask Coleen Nolan’s husband. He’s been welling up every week just watching her glide around on Dancing on Ice.

Ray Fensome has felt so proud of what Loose Women star and Mirror columnist Coleen has achieved on the hit ITV1 skating contest that it has been hard keeping his emotions in check.

“The cameras keep catching me with tears in my eyes,” confesses 50-year-old Ray. “But the feeling I get when I see Coleen take to the ice is incredible. I feel so proud of her.

“I am an emotional man and I cry, I am not ashamed to admit it. I have never been so proud in my life. It is overwhelming.”

The Leeds United supporter has been getting stick from friends and family for wearing his heart on his sleeve. But is he bothered? Not a bit of it.

“My mates were ribbing me for having tears in my eyes,” says Ray. “The kids take the mickey out of me for getting so emotional as well. Jake and Shane, my stepsons, rib me all the time. They say, ‘Oh Ray’s going to cry again’.

“But when they announce her name and she comes on the ice it just overwhelms me.

“I get a lot of stick but I have always been an emotional person – I cry at films. And since we’ve had Ciara I’ve become even more emotional.”

Ray has been yelling himself hoarse for his wife every Sunday night. And, along with their seven-year-old daughter Ciara, he can claim to be her most loyal fan. But the devoted hubby fears there is only one clear winner of the show. And it’s not his missus but his namesake – Ray Quinn.

“I want Coleen to win,” insists music promoter Ray. “But everyone’s saying Ray Quinn’s the best skater to ever be on this show at the moment. So I guess I’d feel bad for him if he didn’t win – but I want Coleen to take the trophy.

“I would love her to win, to improve that much that she could beat Ray would be amazing.

“That is going to take some doing but Coleen is going for it with everything she’s got.

“Ray is unbelievable. The professionals are looking at him and learning off him, he has got that much style.

“It would be a shame if this was a one-horse race from day one but with a public vote anything can happen. Look at last year with Chris Fountain. He had practically won it before it started but Suzanne Shaw pinched it off him at the final.”

Ray’s biggest fear is that Coleen might end up on the Dancing on Ice injury list – another celeb with bruised ribs, needing hospital treatment.

He remembers how scary it was when the family went skating in Blackpool a few years ago.

“It is so dangerous,” says Ray, a session guitarist who has toured the world. “I ripped all the ligaments in my arm when a kid cut across me and I went flying. My arm was out of operation for six months.

“Coleen was the same as everyone then – cling on to the side and try to get round, like Bambi on ice. So to see her come so far has been amazing.

“I have seen her fall – your heart is in your mouth when it happens. But I haven’t seen her take a really bad one yet.”

Ray is not worried about his wife getting cosy with her skating partner Stuart Widdall. He knows she only has eyes for, er, Olympic champion Christopher Dean.

“I have no worries with Stuart,” he laughs. “She’s in love with Christopher Dean, so I can’t do owt about that.

“If she runs off with him I can’t blame her. He is a legend.

“She said on last week’s show she had a crush on him… I have a bit of a crush on him myself!”

Ray is just loving the show although I have to admit he’s now turned into Jason Gardiner.

It’s so bad it’s like I’m actually living with Jason.

He tells me everything I do wrong.

He says things like “no you’re great, you’ve just got to bend those legs, get more speed and sometimes you look really scared”.

So I’m like, “Ray, I AM scared. I can’t bend my knees because my knees are knackered and I can’t get more speed because I might fall and I don’t want to.”

I had a crafty idea what to do to even things up a bit and stop all his criticisms. I decided to take Ray and our seven-year-old daughter Ciara skating today.

The last time Ray went was years ago and he could just about stay up on his feet.

So I said to him “OK Mr Know-It-All.

Now do a backward crossover.” He couldn’t even imagine it.

It’s great because he said “God, it’s only when you get on the ice you realise how difficult it is.”

The thing is, the pros and Ray make it look easy – Ray Quinn that is, not my Ray.

Anyway usually my Ray is pretty helpful around the house but he’s really helping now.

He cleans the house, looks after Ciara, even answers my fan-mail and brings me photos to sign.

I mean, obviously I come home and think “well you don’t quite do it like a woman but at least you try”.

Then when I get home he cooks me food and he’s great… apart from when he criticises me. Then I just want to kill him. But I’ve been amazed how emotional he’s been watching me dance – even shedding a few tears as he gets into it.

Maybe all the household chores have made him get in touch with his sensitive side.

And oh my God, have I made him cry. I think he gets frustrated with me because I am a different person to how I am on a Sunday.

The nerves just kill me in the lead-up to the show and Ray knows I’m not usually like that.

The thing is, I thought I’d be out in the first week. I’ve even had people tell me that women in their 40s don’t win these programmes. But here I am in week seven – thank the Lord for the public – but I still get so nervous.

My poor old legs are literally knocking together they’re shaking so much.

Also Ray’s not getting a lot of sleep which can’t help.

Apparently I’ve been screaming and crying in my sleep since Dancing on Ice started. I don’t know I am, but even the kids have said, “Mum will you stop screaming in your sleep?”

And even though he’s so sympathetic there are limits to what I can ask Ray to do to ease my many aches and pains.

He doesn’t give me any back massages or foot rubs though. I think that’d be too much. He’d probably divorce me if I asked him to!
