In mediul de afaceri e foarte important sa ai incredere. In tine, in ceilalti.

Often, when we have a creative block, we need to be provoked. The idea is’nt new: this is a te

Often, when we have a creative block, we need to be provoked. The idea is’nt new: this is a technical finalization from Edward De Bono, the “lateral thinking” inventor, or at least the man that about this concept has built a philosophy (and a siege of practices) of great consequence, today used all over the world from firms that need innovative ideas for their own products, or from creative and single professionals in quest of blunting profits. The De Bono intuition is that the normal “vertical thinking” is useful in the normal daily activity (and also in the mathematics and in other exact sciences until they remains on the usual “rails”), but became poorly useful – and on the contrary of obstacle – when we try to innovate, to have original ideas, out of from the ordinary. Here goes off the lateral thinking, that reverses, overturns or destroies the normal course of the thoughts, to arouse new intuitions. De Bono has written a lot of books, turned mainly to manager, planners, technical and teachers. As him admits, his techniques have been used also by singers, actors, writing, sapper various, but are not been conceived for the “creatives” in the artistic sense of the term. However, it is possible also for a photographer to draw benefits (as well as for every artist) simply looking for to understand the profound sense of the aforesaid techniques and looking for to apply it to the really personal requirements. The more known technique, the first that from De Bono has conceived and diffused, it is that said of the “Six thinking hats” ( title also of one of his books ), that however requires a work by group, and in this it reveals that has been conceived to facilitate and make more profitable the meetings in firms. But other techniques, as the Provocation or the Casual Entrance and the Distorsion are instead potentially useful if we are in quest of new photographic cues and we feel ideas-empty.

The concept is to create a “ mental shortcut”, doing swerve from the usual railway of our thoughts. Our habit to the consequent logic (learned at school) not allow us to perceive the thousand alternative possibilities: so, introducing a new and disruptive element, we can enlarge our mental space. The provocation in such sense is indeed a powerful method. For example, applying the method of the escape, first of all we must describe in detail something that we are very intersted in and that is usual (i.e.: “the photographic prints go hung to the wall”); after we must “escape” from this reality, canceling it, denying it, leaving fall it or removing it ( “the prints go on the pavement”, here is the provocation ). Using the movement and the technique of the moment by moment, we can now imagine our prints (hu!) used as carpets with the people that walk over: an original show, without doubt! The risk of this technique is that we unconsciously can pilot our choices. In such a case comes by help a disruptive technique, called of the casual entrance. We must look for to identify a word ( in our example: “show”) that illustrate the concept on which we are working, then must connect this with a casual word, that has not apparently any connection with the first thing: we can open, random, a book or a dictionary and choose, without look, a word ( for example comes out “nose”). De Bono, to make the idea of the incongruity among the two terms evident, uses the “po” particle: “nose po show”. Now the work begins: it is necessary to start from this casual association for to find concrete ideas. Try, it works. In our example, then, we would be able to imagine a show where people must pass very next to the prints (really in front of their noses…), what are so little that people can view it throw a lens. Obviously this is only a cue: to learn it you need to read the De Bono books (the best part are in cheap edition) or, if you want, enroll the courses of the academy that represents the “Lateral Thinking” inventor. Good creativeness to all!

Dari Healing Collection menambah koleksi anda dari Tapas Fleming dengan TAT (Tapas Acupressure Techn

Dari Healing Collection menambah koleksi anda dari Tapas Fleming dengan TAT (Tapas Acupressure Techniques). Berikut ulasan mengenai Tapas dan TAT.

About Tapas Fleming and TAT®

Tapas Fleming began her passionate search for truth at age 15. For many years her focus was on enlightenment, interpersonal relating and emotional release. In 1974, Tapas was initiated into natural meditation, a yoga-meditation for purification and liberation. After losing premature twins and coming close to dying herself, she went to school to learn acupuncture and focus on her own healing. In 1993, Tapas came up with a new simple and elegant way to serve her patients — Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT). She is a leading force in the emerging field of energy psychology. Tapas lives in Redondo Beach, California where she has a private practice and travels worldwide to give TAT trainings.

THE TAT® STORY (HOW I CAME UP WITH TAT®)

Both in my own life and as a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I have often wondered how to get myself or a patient out from under the negative influence of past events. However much therapy or meditation or other forms of healing one undertakes, certain issues never seem to get resolved once and for all.

I cannot claim to have painstakingly arrived at a solution to this dilemma. Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) came to me after taking a nap in my office one day. I woke up with the thought of a particular acupuncture point and how it could be used for healing a person’s whole system. I was specializing in allergy work at the time, using a combination of acupressure and acupuncture, based on the methods of Dr. Devi Nambudripad of Buena Park, California. The acupuncture point is called Urinary Bladder 1 (UB1) or “Eyes Bright” as it is called in Chinese.

I immediately began to incorporate this point in my treatment of allergy patients with great success. After several months, a new patient told me, “My T’ai Chi master told me to use that point with one other for headaches and other problems.” Although my insight was based on my training and experience as an acupuncturist, this simple confirmation of my own experience meant a great deal to me. I added the third point the yT’ai Chi master mentioned.

After another few months, I was contemplating the fact that the occipital area of the brain is the vision center and that the points I was using for treatment were related to vision. I thought that perhaps if I included the brain’s vision center in the treatments I was doing, it would enhance the treatments. It did. An entire layer of complication in my allergy treatments (combining an allergen with other substances in order to achieve a complete clearing) was no longer necessary with the addition of placing the back of the hand on the occipital area of the head. The healing was more complete with less steps.

What I have discovered from using TAT goes beyond what I learned as part of my professional training. I discovered in my acupuncture practice that our bodies, not just our minds, have memories. Not just our memories, but the memories of our ancestors. If we stop and think about it for a minute, it becomes obvious that our bodies are the product of our parents’ bodies. We look like our parents, and often have similar health problems as our parents. Well, to take it many steps further, our parents’ bodies came from their parents’ bodies, whose bodies came from their parents’ bodies, and so on for a long, long way back. The color of your hair and your eyes, the shape of your hands and feet, your bone structure, and some of your health problems are the legacy of both your recent and ancient ancestors. Just as car manufacturers base new models on a long line of previous designs rather than reinvent the wheel, you are the latest model of your ancestry.

Again, I did not come to this conclusion through study and thought, but through experience in my clinical practice. For example, I was working on a patient who was allergic to dust. As I was treating her I “saw,” you might say psychically, a farmer pushing a plow and breathing in copious amounts of dirt. Big clouds of dust rose all around him as he followed his plow. Without mentioning the complete image I was seeing, I just talked to the patient about the dust of the land where she was living, and in her conversation to me she revealed that she came from a long line of German farmers. What was coming to me from her body was what I would call the cellular history of her present life in this body. Our bodies have living histories which we could call cellular memory. When an ancestor experienced something traumatic, that memory seems to be stored and passed down at a cellular level.

I was inspired to explore cellular memory more deeply when I worked with a patient who, by her early 30’s, had been in nine car crashes which she hadn’t caused. She had suffered a concussion and other major traumas to the head, and was suffering from constant neck and headaches with a couple of migraines a week. The story I “saw” was about a young boy of eight or so who was in a mountain cabin with his father. A crazy mountain man came in and killed his father, smashing his head open. When I mentioned this, my patient was silent for a few moments, then told me that her father had fallen, smashed his head, and she was there when it happened. She then told her sisters about what had come up, and her sisters told her that they knew of two men in the family who had been murdered by people smashing their heads in. The sisters also talked about the fact that their young children had already suffered an inordinate amount of concussions and blows to the head in the course of their growing up.

I began to realize that I had been given the gift of seeing the history of the cells of a human body and a way to heal the traumas that had been passed down from generation to generation: TAT. What I have learned from working with many friends and patients in these last several years is that when the story of those cells is heard, they release the stored trauma they have been holding and are able to rejoin the organism they are part of and get on with this business of living. Using TAT, a person doesn’t have to have a conscious or psychic vision of what happened. The TAT pose itself along with your focus on a trauma creates a connection between the cells’ memory and your function of vision. You “re-view” the trauma and it is integrated in a few moments.

WHAT IS A TRAUMA AND WHAT DOES TAT® DO?

A trauma occurs when life becomes unbearable and you tell it “No.” Or variations on the theme which could include: “Hold it right there.” “This is too much for me.” “If this happens, I won’t survive.” This is not necessarily a conscious choice. It is a natural response to your life in that moment. This response sets up patterns of mental, emotional, and physical behavior and health. A blockage, or energy stagnation has just been put in place and your life has been impacted. It seems like a good idea at the time, but you lose the ability of distinguishing the difference between a truly life-threatening event and an event that merely has certain aspects that resemble the original traumatic event. It is as if life were a flowing stream, and at one point, out of fear, you roll a boulder into it to try to dam the flow in order to keep a traumatic event from happening to you. The water, of course, simply flows around the boulder, but in your life – in your body, mind and emotions – there is a blockage that wasn’t there before.

From the view of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a blockage of energy flow creates disease. If you consider the blockage as a boulder in your body’s life flow, you can easily imagine that the life energy that would naturally be flowing along certain streams is going to be diverted. On the upstream side of the boulder, there will be dammed up energy, on the downstream side you will find a lack of energy. This creates emotional, mental and physical disharmony which is also known as a yin-yang imbalance. On one side is too much, on the other is not enough. The goal of Traditional Chinese Medicine is to achieve balance.

TAT is a way of saying to your whole body-mind: “Have another look at this.” It is an opportunity to change, based on taking a new look, rather than continuing to look away. By taking another look, within the context of TAT’s direction of the body’s energy flow, the charge that is still being held is removed from the past event and the event can now be integrated into your whole system.

What has that charge been? It’s traumatic stress which is simply the stress to your system of continually trying to hold off a trauma. That event really did happen. Working to deny its existence or hold it away from you is stressful. Traumatic stress ends when the trauma is no longer resisted. TAT accomplishes this in moments.

I would say that TAT reunites a person with parts of himself or herself that have been locked away or frozen in time. There are many ways to describe the results of TAT. Integration, harmony, peace, unity, connectedness, relatedness, oneness and wholeness are a few of the terms people have used to express how they feel after doing TAT.

Tu “tiri”, io so già prima che tu parta dove vuoi arrivare. In qualche modo “ti sento”.

As students, we don’t really have background information about Edward De Bono. Is it our school or our own level of research on innovation that we should blame on the fact that we didn’t read ‘Lateral thinking’, or one of his other books ?

But while watching him do his thing, we saw an innovation-veteran. Inspiring for young people like us, and a great example of how to live your life with passion for what you do. We can only hope that we can reach that level of expertise and wisdom.

Powerpoint, Flash, Moviemaker, … Nothing can compare with the simplicity of De Bono’s presentation style. Drawing while you speak gives the audience the feeling that the speaker is sitting next to you. And working with an overhead projector, maybe with a glass of wine and some Jazz music, gives a very cosy and warm feeling.

Not representive for the amazing content of his presentation, but in this video you can see De Bono DRAW A HOUSE! (winkingsmileyface)

Thanks to the people from FlandersDC I will be attending the 11th European Conference on Creativity and Innovation. Expecting lots of inspiration and new ideas for this blog.

Follow me live on twitter (hashtag #eccixi)

This year’s edition of ECCI is taking place in Brussels, at the brand new meeting place The Square. Great venue, if you ask me.

Getting ready for creative action
“Enough said about creative theory, it’s time for some creative action.” Talking about creativity is interesting but also frustrating. When attending creativity talks I often went home with lots of great advice, but those were just words. In the end putting these ideas into practice is what counts.

Not in this conference. Apparently, ECCI XI is all about making it happen.

Here great advice and practice should go hand in hand. Apart from the keynotes (more about that further on) there are a bunch of workshops to get us started.

Here’s my pick for the next 3 (!) days.

Day 1:

11u00: Virginia Stephen, “When Artist, Executive, Educator and Facilitator Converge: Visual Literacy Becomes a Dynamic Idea Mover” OR Jana Görs, “Five Theseses for Improving the Outcome of the Fuzzy Front End of Innovation – How to Launch a Bird, not an Egg.”

14u30: Sandra Minnee, “Creating Acceptance for Change: Mastering Conflicts”

16u30: Marc Bogaert – Luc De Schryver, “From Intention to Innovation: How a Company’s Cultural DNA can bridge the Gap between Innovation, Intentions and Results.”

Day 2:

11u00: Marcel van der Pol, “The Story of the Hero: Finding Treasures and Making Ideas Work”

14u30: Maureen Jenkins, “Regenerating Sources of Creativity – Your Personal Disciplines”

16u30: Stavros Michailidis – Donald M. Drost, “Make it Happen with Momentum”

Day 3:

11u00: Dorte Blegind, “Coaching as a Tool for Successful Implementation of innovative Projects”

Keynote speakers + Interview with Edward De Bono

Every great conference has interesting keynote speakers. I’m looking forward to the talks of Alberto Alessi, Kobus Neethling and Edward De Bono.

Thanks to Koen Peeters of Flanders DC I get the opportunity to do an interview with The Maltese Guru of Lateral Thinking: Edward De Bono. The interview will be published on this blog, later this week.

Earlier today I asked you to send me your questions for Mr. De Bono.

These are the questions I’ve selected for the interview:

- Is creativity a science or can it be a science?
- What would you recommend to diplomats of the Copenhagen Summit? (Leen Creve, Journalist @ Knack Weekend)
- For people who feel they have a book or two in them, what would you recommend they do to get it written and out to read? (Bernd Nurnberger, Cocreatr @ Purple Pointr)

Thanks for the great questions tweeps!

Stay tuned.

People are so varied that sometimes, just when you least expect it, an individual will emerge from a

People are so varied that sometimes, just when you least expect it, an individual will emerge from an unlikely and obscure place and their story will take on a life of its’ own. There are the bona-fide experts on subjects who make ridiculous statements with all the seriousness they can muster, and some – Edward De Bono – are even taken seriously by people who should know better. There are the bored code-monkeys who discovered how to make money from thin air, kids who fool the world with balloon-related pranks, and actors jumping up and down on Oprah’s sofa.

Great way to prove you ain’t gay, Tom…

Oh the joys of seeing the things that go on. If I tried to write a novel which encompassed the absurdities of life, and kept strictly to things which have actually occurred, it would be laughed out of town as unbelievable. Life is complicated, and sexy, and hilarious, and ridiculous, and disgusting, and horrifying… Simplifications of what our existence amounts to in fiction makes reality even more ridiculous when viewed through sober eyes and a clear mind.

It’s hard to put down on paper (or type, as I do) fiction that contains just enough absurdity to reflect reality, but doesn’t fall into unbelievability. I still haven’t worked out if I should try to explain why people are so wrong when they claim that some fiction is like life ripped from reality and pasted on the page. Does it matter that such a feat is impossible? The ailments, observations, minutia, boring bits, slapstick and bowel movements of the average person (though such an individual arguably does not exist) cannot be captured on paper without some degree of editing.

“Literary” still has some growing up to do before I take it seriously.

Any ‘reality’ is a skewed one when put on paper. The digital superhighway – such a stupid term, but a useful way of comparing the internet to a neverending traffic jam – is filled with supposedly ‘real’ moments in private lives. I’ve got no time for moronic “Lookit me, I’m setting my head on fire” videos, and even less time for ten-minute-long videos of people bemoaning their pathetic existence. It isn’t real, because the artifice of display gets in-between the truth and the viewer. Big Brother, whilst listed as a ‘reality show’ is merely the end result of focus groups and sadistic producers. No reality involved.

I’ve been reading a lot of blogs and websites this past week which seem inclined to accept stories in newspapers at face value. The habit certain individuals have gotten into, of merely saying whatever in the news interests them, is a bad one. I’m tempted to start linking to these blogs and taking apart the news they hold dear, but I really don’t want to re-read their take on the news. Which is, as any intelligent person can see from the cover of a newspaper, nearly always skewed and distorted by reporters and editors.

One of the funniest things about British news is the insistence that half-naked women are of urgent importance and news worthiness. No. Sorry, but I’m not impressed. It’s trifling and irrelevant scum journalism which borders on the stalker-ish. Two-page spreads on forthcoming television shows? Hackery of the worst kind. Giveaways? That’s a sure way to increase readership, especially when a national tabloid decides that cartoon DVDs will boost readership. Can I say “The Sun / Daily Star / Daily Record was grooming children” without a lawsuit? Fuck yeah. Try and stop me.

Only when all barriers between subject and audience has been removed will reality be represented in anything other than a superficial and meaningless way, and we ought to start taking what we see, hear and read with a pinch of salt. It is especially important that people come to realize that Hollywood – that legendary vile den of iniquity – shoulders a fair proportion of the blame for ills which are now, sadly, all too common. Anorexia? Thank the airbrushed posters of skeletal good-for-nothings celebrities.

The rise in breast implants? Posters of Keira Knightley with massive tits ain’t fooling anyone. I’m shocked that people believe the ‘perfect people’ are free of cellulite, blemishes and zits; elevated individuals who have never experienced the delights of either diarrhea nor broken noses… It’s dangerous portrayals of ‘the body beautiful’ which infect minds and begin the slow descent into self-awareness in teenagers. And younger. Can’t we, as a species, accept that we’re fed so much bullshit from the media?

Yeesh, that’s a rant and a half… I’m stopping before I upset anyone else. If I’ve missed any targets, please let me know who to lay into next.

Playtime. If that one word doesn’t trigger some kind of emotional response in your soul, stop

Playtime.

If that one word doesn’t trigger some kind of emotional response in your soul, stop reading- and call your doctor.

Playtime is awesome.

This post is getting better and better, isn’t it? What memories does that three word sentence evoke? I’ll tell you the five things I think of when I hear playtime:

1. Cops and Robbers (or jailbreak/release as we Western PA’ers call it)
2. Four Square
3. Playing football with the neighborhood kids until the streetlights came on
4. Creating games out of thin air…and loving it
5. Laying wide awake in bed the day before vacation

Playtime.

What a word. So then, I now pose this question:

Why does Playtime have to stop?

Simple question. Many answers.

Is it because the word “play” sounds so young, and fresh, so it has to die once we get older?

Surely not.

Not being able to play limits the ability to be creative. It hinders the spirit to explore new boundaries, think differently, and improve things.

No playtime. No progress.

Show me a person who doesn’t want a play, and I’ll show you a person that is unable to be creative.

Play Away.

The United States workforce spends the most time working IN THE WORLD. Who can schedule enough playdates with only a national annual average of 4 weeks vacation?

How can we bring on change and innovation, when we are surrounded by Debbie Downers that refuse to even consider “radical” ideas? If we changed “radical” to “playful”, would the idea be listened to? Probably not.

An intelligent mind is a playful mind. One who is not afraid to take the “established” norms in society and make a game out of it. Isn’t that what that whole revered theory of Provocation is about? (example: If your computer keyboard had no letters, what would you do to make it functional?)

Let’s bring that chlidish mentality back. Enter situations like you’ve never seen anything like it before, as if you were a newborn. Experience is good in some cases, but when creativity is involved, it is highly overrated.

Okay, enough writing. Meet me at the sandpit!

* Divergencia.
* Pausa Creativa.
* Foco.
* Desafío.
* Alternativa.
* Seguidor del Concepto y Concepto.
* Provocación.
* Movimiento.
* Entrada Aleatoria.
* Los Estratos.
* La Técnica del Filamento.
* Fraccionamiento.
* La Técnica del Porqué.
* Tormenta de Ideas.

* Eso no es así.
* Eso no funciona.
* Eso no puede cambiar.
* No es una nueva idea.
* Es demasiado caro.
* Es irreal.
* Es estúpido.

(Perception is real even when it is not reality.)
(If you do not design the future someone or something else will design it for you.)
(We may need to solve problems not by removing the cause but by designing the way forward even if the cause remains in place.)
(Traditional thinking is all about “what is;” future thinking will also need to be about what can be.)
(Effectiveness without values is a tool without a purpose.)

……..

Respuestas

RESPUESTA:
Café no significa solo café líquido.

Edward de Bono has championed a new way of thinking for more than forty years. He has set out to challenge the logical, truth-seeking process established by the Greek philosophers 2,400 years ago and cemented in Western culture in the Middle Ages by the church.

That way of thinking is fine, but is not sufficient to meet the problems posed by the modern world. To solve the great challenges of today — global warming, the credit crunch — better, more creative thinking is needed, claims Dr de Bono. And he has spent much of his life proselytising his vision. Such concepts as lateral thinking and the six hats are part of his new way of thinking that he says will equip all sections of society to live better lives and solve more complex problems.

In this week’s edition of The Interview, Edward de Bono tells Lyse Doucet how he became aware of the failings of conventional thought, how he has championed his new way to business leaders, politicians and children, and why he still wants to realise his dream of establishing a Palace of Thinking to encourage a revolution.

Some have accused him of arrogance, some say he is just plain wrong, but Dr de Bono is always charming and entertaining as he seeks to convince the unenlightened.

“For hundreds of years we have believed that if something is logical in hindsight, then logic should have been enough to get the idea in the first place. This is complete and total rubbish.”— Edward de Bono.

Next to my pillow for the last week has been The Art of Looking Sideways by Alan Fletcher. Came across a piece by Edward de Bono on page 140 of the beastly thing. The last post I wrote was about how little we teach children in regards to their inner world (NOT, for the record, cranky teachers who eat 9 year old egos for lunch…)

De Bono believes that teaching students “how to think” is as important (if not, ahem, more) than teaching Math/Science/Language Arts. He says crazy things like:

“Thinking should be a deliberate act, rather than a reactive one.”

And… “Language has been the biggest help, and the biggest barrier to human evolution.”

The piece I’m posting is a blatant cut/paste until I can find shreds of time bigger than a fingernail clipping to blog. I don’t know if I’ll be sent to the principals office for copyright infringement… but I’ll give credit and see what happens.

Enjoy………………………………………………

We don’t think in words. The temptation to equate thinking with language is because words are more palpable than thoughts. After all- I’m thinking- if I couldn’t talk to myself how would I know what I was thinking?

Thinking is hard work; few engage in it.

For those who do there are a number of ways of sorting, each with advantages and disadvantages. They can be broadly categorized:

Natural Thinking. This is fluid and undirected, it wanders and meanders, is subject to repetition and generalizations. The sort of thinking that goes on when we don’t think we’re thinking.

Logical Thinking. This selects a route and follows it to its conclusion. With this approach the solution is largely predetermined, so if you head off in the wrong direction you can end up painting yourself into a corner.

Pattern Thinking. This confines thoughts to operate within given rules. Therefore solutions are limited by the possibilities available within the pattern.

Lateral Thinking. This is purposeful in intent without specific aim. Freewheeling so it can reveal solutions which might have been overlooked in other approaches.

Grasshopper Thinking. (Brazen Method of Preference.) Most of the time our thinking jumps around alternating and mixing between reasoning which adheres to measurable responses, and imagining which allows unpredictable currents to play around with data. Producing electrico/chemical sludge.

If Ulysses James Joyce exploited the fact that we don’t think in words, and even if Ulysses is so complex as to be inaccessible (at least to me), it must still be a gross simplification of the mush of muddled thought constantly churning, tumbling and swirling around in our heads.

Paradoxically education allocates more value to logic and analytical skills than to imaginative conjectures. Thus law is held in esteem whereas art, or design is considered a fiddly, fussy, arty-crafty activity of minor intellectual endeavor. An attitude with an attitude- particularly perverse since analysis looks backwards while design looks forwards.

Language also plays its part. Have you noticed that when we don’t agree with someone we say: “I don’t think so.’ The ‘… think so’, literally indicating a prescribed route.

The conventional thinking we are taught (and conditioned to think) employs what Edward de Bono calls ‘rock logic.’ Rocks being solid, hard, permanent, inert and unchanging. Like bricks, rocks can be added on top of one another to build structures. However there is also ‘water logic.’ this is fluid and flows according to gradient (context), and assumes form according to space (circumstance.) If you add one rock to another, you get two; if you add water to water, it changes shape. Rocks analogous to a page of accounts and water to a piece of poetry.

The former has units which add up to a conclusion, the latter has images which conjure up a perception. One isn’t better than the other; it’s courses for horses.

To move from hod to pail do Bono suggest inserting an equivalent of the mathematical zero into our thinking. He suggest ‘po‘, a neologism derived from hy’po‘thesis, sup’po’se, ‘po’ssible, ‘po’sition, and ‘po‘etry. Confronted with a sticky situation one inserts ‘po’ into the equation, instead of giving a knee jerk res’po‘nse. This allows for time to generate new thoughts and ex’po’se fresh perceptions. ‘Po’ can open the mind to reveal ‘po‘tentials outside of conventional thinking and analytic evaluation.

The world we have around us is a result of the level of thinking we have done thus far, unfortunately it has also produced problems we cannot solve on the same level of thinking at which we created them.

Alan Fletcher. The Art of Looking Sideways (Phaidon 1994.)
