Sorry Sorry is oen of the famous songs you will ever hear from the biggest and most popular boy group from South Korea, its non other than Super Junior! And this year is the Year of Sorry Sorry, they might been to rough times and happy times in this year and been accused by rumors and news but us ELFs wont lose right? So TwELFs planned a project to make and tweet #sorrysorry in twitter to make it one of the trending topics as a tribute to Super Junior’s success thru the year.

So the project was planned to start exactly 9 pm KST (8pm Philippines Time) and less than an hour #sorrysorry went up tp no. 2 spot in trending topic and exactly 8:50 pm (PH TIME) #sorrysorry went up to no 1 spot surprisingly! And for the first time (i think) its the first Trending Topic project regarding about to Super Junior is placed in the no. 1 spot ever!

It’s really a huge success to us TwELFs & ELFs! Thank you to those who helped us and #sorrysorry to make all of you disturbed! And this truly admits that Kpop is really invading all over the world!

WE LOVE THE HOLIDAYS! 

 Yous and I are decorating the house, we started on Saturday night (and Yous helped me with the tree, it was a nice way to spend time  together at home), and we have been making the house cheery ever since!

Most excitingly in 2009, Cornwall lead the way for fire safety training for pre-school children.  The Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service are piloting a new scheme named elfs, for early learning fire safety.

There are 7 elfs who each have an important message that is taught to 2 – 5 year old children during structured play.

At the open day, Community Fire Safety Advisor, Leigh-Anne Parfitt told me that she and her colleagues cover all the Cornwall schools to teach fire safety each year to 6 and 8 year olds.  But they don’t have the capacity to cover pre-schools so the elfs box has been developed.

Leigh-Anne explains the key messages of the 7 elfs:  Road safety, Fire plans (Get Out, Stay Out, Call out), Clothes Fire (Stop,Drop & Roll), Good fires - e.g. BBQ’s & Bad fires, Hot & Cold things, Matches & Lighters plus Smoke Alarms.

Although they bring the safety message to young children they don’t want them frightened or worrying.  Leigh-Ann said,

“they respond really well to it and we’re really excited that pre-school children will have fun while learning too.”

Any pre-school using the elfs box are asked to provide honest opinion and feedback in order to maintain and improve this fun training pack. 

Roll out to all the UK

Once the pilot scheme has been completed and evaluated it is intended to make the elfs boxes available throughout the south west region and eventually to all Fire and Rescue Services in the UK.  

Every child in the UK should have the chance to learn to stay safe.  Help Cornwall perfect this pack for the rest of the UK’s young children.
