I like to think that spring has sprung, but there is still a chill in the air that I can’t quite fight off. I guess I shouldn’t complain because it’s giving me one final chance to bust out my faux fur. Sure, it may look like I have a lifeless animal wrapped around my neck… but try it on for just a second and I swear you’ll be a believer.

Have you guys heard of the new line that Nordstom has started carrying – ASTR? I just discovered it a couple weeks ago and totally fell in love. They have some super cute and unique pieces that are all way affordable (all under $100). That’s where I found my new favorite faux leather tank dress. Bare legs in December?  Yep, thanks Tennessee weather!  Somehow this past weekend we were freezing in 40 degree weather and yesterday we were working with the doors open in the 65 degree weather.  But I’m not complaining, happy to break out the bare legs 11 days before Christmas.  My Elizabeth and James sunglasses are back! If you follow me on twitter I tweeted that I somehow managed to break them while in their case! After looking more closely I was only missing a screw, a quick trip to WalMart and the sweet man at the Vision Center fixed them right up free of charge!  So happy to have them back!  Love them too?  Buy your E&J sunnies here (they would make a great Christmas gift!)

This very much animal inspired outfit is for the Pretty, Shiny, Sparkly Bloggers do it Better challenge.  This was a tough one in trying to decide which animal print to wear!  Do you mix lots of fun accessories into a “more is better” outfit or do you stick with one bold piece and add to it?  Tough choice since I do have both to choose from (this Jcrew look-alike belt and I just scored these leopard loafers at TJMaxx for $50!), but I decided to go with one statement piece, this fun leopard cardi, and added to it by choosing a leather skirt, cat-eye sunglasses and panther bracelet.

This striped mini dress is both sweet and retro. It would looks great with nude Sergio Rossi heels and a pair of shades like these Elizabeth and James cat eye sunglasses that channel the 60′s era.

This shift dress with scallop detailing is another one of Sebastian and Lily’s top picks. Its peter pan collar makes it conservative yet it is subtly sexy with the cut out in the back. Pair this with some killer patent leather mary janes and  glamourous oversize shades like these Gucci ones with bamboo detailing.
