De todo este chorro de parejeros, vamos a ver cuantos empiezan a cantar como loritos mas de lo que Don Omar, Wisin y Yandel chotearon. A mi no me sorprende que los reggaetoneros estuvieran ahi, pero Gilberto Santa Rosa?  Papi, si ese tipo estaba ahi es por algo.  O debia chavos o debia un favor.  No pude encontrar el video de Elvis Crespo pero el tambien estuvo ahi.  Gente, en bandejilla de plata: los corruptos de tu ambiente musical.

Como todo blog, éste está en constante adaptación, así, cuando encuentro cosas interesantes, las añado lo antes posible al blog para que os sirva a tod@s aquell@s que os pasáis por el Blog regularmente o acabáis por aquí en busca de materiales, recursos, etc.

En este caso se han añadido una serie de páginas y blogs con contenidos relamente interesantes para la escuela, ya que tocan desde las competencias hasta un compendio de recursos en Flash para todo tipo de niveles.Nosotros competentes / Nosaltres Competents: Blog que compendia todo tipo de enlaces y recursos hacia el trabajo por competencias. Es muy completo y recoge desde materiales muy prácticos para trabajar por competencias en el aula desde el minuto 0, a definiciones para las competencias para distintas comunidades autónomas, cómo se programa por competencias, etc. Como se desprende de su título hay contenidos tanto en castellano como en catalán.

Blog Taller TICTAC: Blog del Maestro Eloy Cutanda desde Cella. Contiene gran cantilad de recursos de trabajo con las TIC en los centros educativos, preparado para diversos niveles de dominio de la informática y para diversos niveles educativos, haciendo especial hincapié en la educación primaria.

Entretizas.org: Página del CPR de GRAUS, en la que, además de los conenidos propios del CPR como convocatorias de cursos, seminarios, etc. contiene enlaces interesantes a recursos, materiales generados por centros de su ámbito, etc.

Recursos Educativos en Internet: Blog accesorio a la página del CPR de Graus, en el que se recogen con capturas de pantalla los enlaces a múltiples páginas clasificadas tanto por áreas, como por contenidos concretos, como por niveles, etc. Un gran repositorio de webs con recursos o con las que trabajar directamente en el aula.

Sin duda los puertoriqueños de Jowell y Randy se han transformado en uno de los artistas más importantes del género del reggeatón. Desde que se inició su carrera en el año 2007 con su exitoso álbum titulado “Casa de leones”, el dúo conocido como “Los más sueltos” lograron consagrarse como artistas y cautivar a todos los fanáticos del género con sus contagiosas letras y alegre música.

Es por esto que en el mes de septiembre el dúo boricua pisará suelo chileno,  presentando su show en distintas regiones del país. Ésta es la primera vez que Jowell y Randy llegan a Chile para realizar un evento masivo, por lo que preparan un gran espectáculo que contará con la presencia de Eloy, una de las más latentes promesas del reggaetón.

J’ai un peu cherché ce fameux Palais Rihour lors des Transphotographiques à Lille car en fait le “palais” en question est plutôt, pour ce que j’en ai vu, une sorte de tour jouxtant l’office du tourisme. C’est un comble car la place Rihour et la station de métro du même nom sont juste à côté. Bref. L’exposition se déroule dans la “salle du conclave” accessible après avoir grimpé un escalier en colimaçon.

Arrivé dans la fameuse salle, on se trouve face au travail de Gregoire Eloy (300 à 1 500 euros) réalisé en Europe de l’Est en noir et blanc et surtout d’ailleurs en noir charbonneux.

J’étais persuadé d’avoir entendu parler de lui mais non, en fait, je dois confondre. En tout cas, c’est un style cette série appelée wizowa. Son site est ici.

Moi j’aime bien celle ci-dessous, presque abstraite.

There is an interesting line-up of tech stocks which hit 52-week highs today.  This is despite the wave of selling and profit taking we have seen.  We saw several hit highs on an intra-day basis, including Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN), eLayalty Corporation (NASDAQ: ELOY), Perfect World Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ: PWRD), and Starent Networks, Corp. (NASDAQ: STAR).

Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN) continued its surge on security launches as shares hit north of $8.00 briefly today.  The close was $7.75 and the old 52-week high was $7.85.

eLoyalty Corporation (NASDAQ: ELOY) rose another 5% to $8.31 today, but this was not above the full 52-week lows after backing off of highs.  The old high was $8.50 and it hit $8.65 today.  Consulting and managed services for behavioral management and integrated contact solutions must be in demand.

Perfect World Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ: PWRD) a hit 52-week high very briefly today at $30.01, topping  the old 52-week high of $30.00.  Shares closed up 3% at $29.83 on the day.  This came on the heels of Citigroup raising its target to $36.00.

Starent Networks, Corp. (NASDAQ: STAR) closed up almost 3% at $23.99 today, above the old 52-week trading range of $7.30 to $23.69. This looks like follow-on buying from yesterday’s KDDI contract in Japan and from last week.  Despite many stocks being way down, this one is up $3.00 from lows over the last 5-day period.

Defensa surgido de las categorías inferiores del club. Debutó en la campaña de la UEFA ‘ 88, debido a la gran carga de partidos de los hombres de Clemente, pese que el bravo lateral no llegó a debutar en la competición europea.

Jugó en el club 7 temporadas, donde ocupaba normalmente el lateral derecho, aunque también podía jugar por la banda izquierda. Desgraciadamente para él, estuvo durante una etapa bastante negra dentro de la historia espanyolista y tuvo la amargura de vivir dos descensos, aunque afortunadamente también vivió los dos ascensos a primera. 

Le llamaban “el chino” por los rasgos de sus ojos. Actualmente ocupa el cargo de responsable de la Ciudad Deportiva del club, anteriormente también llegó a ser preparador físico del primer equipo.

He’s one letter removed from Elroy, but this name has an intriguing heritage all his own.

Thanks to Christina for suggesting Eloy as Name of the Day.

Eloy is pronounced just as you’d probably guess – EE loy.  He’s been whispered down the alley from French to Latin to Italian and Spanish, but still retains his original form.

Back in the late 500s, Aquitaine-born Éloi was a master metalsmith appointed to manage the royal mint of King Clotaire II.  Managing money has always led to power – and too often corruption.  All accounts indicate Éloi was scrupulously honest and unfailingly generous.  He built churches and monasteries, gave to the poor and ensured proper burials for criminals.

What happens next is open to debate.  Some say that Éloi finally fulfilled a life-long desire to enter the priesthood.  Others suggest that he reluctantly accepted the office of Bishop at the urging of Clotaire II’s son and successor, King Dagobert I.  If coercion was involved, it would be just a little bit ironic - Éloi comes from the Latin word eligere – to choose.

Either way, as Bishop he converted Flemings, Frisians and plenty of other pagans, and was eventually considered a saint.  The Latin version of his name is Eligius, and that’s the one that appears to have endured over the centuries.

The French-born Eligius Fromentin was a priest who fled the guillotine.  After some years in America, he also left the church and became a lawyer in New Orleans, eventually helping with Louisiana’s bid for statehood and serving as a US Senator.

There’s also the Baron Eligius Franz Joseph von Münch-Bellinghausen, a nineteenth-century Austrian writer.  The aristocrat disguised his lofty roots, publishing under the pen name Friedirch Halm.

In Italian and Spanish, Eligius sometimes becomes Eligio.  But in the US, the only version used with any frequency has been the Spanish Eloy.  Eloy charted in the US Top 1000 most years between 1920 and 1986.  Though he was usually at the fringes, he reached as high as #689 in 1946.  (I’m probably missing some famous Latino Eloys, or possibly a fictional character or two.)

The name is also sometimes linked to Loye, but the French surname has distinct roots.  (It’s an occupational name for a keeper of geese.)   

And while a few sites insist that Eloy means fierce fighter, I can’t find any support for that defintion.

Eloy has the advantage of sounding close to current favorites Eli, Elijah and Elias.  And yet the “oy” sound is distinctive.  I like him a bit better with a French pronunciation – eh LOY - but I’m not sure it would catch on.

On balance, Eloy is interesting.  He might substitute for parents who love Eli but are looking for a twist.  And obscure saints’ names are certainly valid choices.  But I’m undecided about how Eloy would wear circa 2009.  The “oy” sound – Troy, Joy, Roy, Joyce – isn’t terribly fashionable.  And yet with celebrities naming their babies Walter and Frank, maybe that’s an open door for choices like Roy and Eloy.

Authorities on Monday found a group of 26 immigrants who said they were kidnapped and left in the desert for eight days without food or water, according to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office.

The group included four young women and four children.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle near 11-Mile Corner Road and the Santa Cruz River, south of Eloy, on Monday morning.

Both PCSO and the Border Patrol found eight people who told them there were more people further down by the river.

Authorities located an additional 18 immigrants.

They said they had been kidnapped on their way to Phoenix from Chipas, Mexico, by armed subjects who told them to stay by the river.

The immigrants were turned over to the Border Patrol, according to PCSO.
