seek To kick off the web category I will talk about how to find someones ip address in Gmail. Althou

seek

To kick off the web category I will talk about how to find someones ip address in Gmail. Although this is possible with many other web mail clients we will discuss this one today as it is very popular and very easily done with this one.

Often times people who have been doing this for some time don’t even know this one or say to right click the message and view source or some bullshit. I have personally never located the true IP of someone that way with Gmail or any other relevant IP that way with Gmail. So read on…

Gmail differs from other web mail clients when conducting IP look-ups in a couple of ways: First, they don’t store the information in a typical IP header (sorta) and Two, you gotta switch to a different mode of gmail that was originally intend for computers and slow browsers.

First, log in to your Gmail account as you normally would.

Scroll to the bottom and click on the link that says: basic HTML. This mode enables us to see the raw HTML more easily.

Select the message you want to view (the message of the person’s ip address you want…)

In the message you will see some links to some options. choose “show original”. Now we can see the raw message in all it’s glory.

Somewhere about 1/4 down the message you should see a line that says: X-Originating-IP

If you don’t see it may be because it’s a reply message and you don’t have the full thing try another message from that person).

profit

To protect yourself from this type of enumeration use a proxy or some type of encryption when sending email. Be weary of some proxies as they may be on unreliable or heavily compromised host. I will discuss anonymous emailing using a different method then those two and provide a more in depth article on proxies in a later post…Cheers.

A new Gmail hacking tool that is capable of automatically stealing the Gmail IDs of non-encrypted se

A new Gmail hacking tool that is capable of automatically stealing the Gmail IDs of non-encrypted sessions and breaking into Gmail accounts has been presented at the Defcon hackers’ conference in Las Vegas.

Funniest Blog in the universe: The Best Blog In The Universe.
(mcfly.xtreemhost.com come over and get your colons stomped)

Last week Google introduced a new feature in Gmail that allows users to permanently switch on SSL and use it for every action involving Gmail, and not only, authentication. Users who did not turn it on now have a serious reason to do so as Mike Perry, the reverse engineer from San Francisco who developed this Gmail hacking tool is planning to release the tool in two weeks.

When you log in to Gmail account the website sends a cookie (a text file) containing your session ID to the browser. This file makes it possible for the website to know that you are authenticated and keep you logged in for two weeks, unless you manually click the sign out button. When you click sign out this cookie is cleared.Even though when you log in, Gmail forces the authentication over SSL (Secure Socket Layer), you are not secure because it reverts back to a regular unencrypted connection after the authentication is done.

According to Google this behavior was chosen because of low-bandwidth users, as SLL connections requires high bandwidth. The problem lies with the fact that every time you access anything on Gmail, even an image, your browser also sends your cookie to the website. This makes it possible for a hacker to sniff the traffic on the network to insert an image served from http://mail.google.com and force your browser to send the cookie file, thus getting your session ID. The new Gmail hacking tool is capable of doing this. Once this happens the hacker can log into the account without the need of a password. People checking their e-mail from public wireless hotspots are more likely to get hacked than the ones using secure wired networks.

Funniest Blog in the universe: The Best Blog In The Universe.
(mcfly.xtreemhost.com come over and get your colons stomped)

Perry mentioned that he notified Google about this situation over a year ago and even though eventually it made this option available, he is not happy with the lack of information. “Google did not explain why using this new feature was so important” he said. He continued and explained the implications of not informing the users, “This gives people who routinely log in to Gmail beginning with an https:// session a false sense of security, because they think they’re secure but they’re really not.

“If you are logging in to your Gmail account from different locations and you would like to benefit from this option only when you are using unsecured networks, you can force it by manually typing https://mail.google.com before you log in. This will access the SSL version of Gmail and it will be persistent over your entire session and not only during authentication.

I’ve noticed a dramatic increase in phishing attempts over the past few days. While I see several over the course of a year, there’s been an increase as the financial situation has grown more worrying and the holidays approach.

”Phishing” is when a hacker attempts to get an unsuspecting user to provide personal information then used for identity theft, hacking etc.

I’ve seen several very genuine-looking emails from banks, online stores and websites that are asking that I click on a link and enter my username and password or other personal information.

Most companies with an online presence rarely, if ever, ask you to provide information in an email. So please:

Do not open email attachments.

Do not click on links in emails.

Do not reply to suspect emails.

If you receive an email from a company that you’re concerned about, call their customer service number (NOT any number in the email – hackers sometimes provide their own 800 to “verify” themselves).

Make sure you anti-virus software and spam filters are up-to-date.

See #1

Many people are forwarding jokes, news and informational emails. As innocent as this practice may seem, it’s a key way that viruses, worms and trojan horses make their way around the web.

Please email and surf with caution. If in ANY doubt, delete it.

SpliceToday’s Robert Stacy McCain (no relation, I expect) wonders why the major media quickly became disinterested in the hacking of Sarah’s email account.

For two days, the hacking generated extensive news coverage, because Palin’s use of Yahoo e-mail was related to complaints about her conduct as governor, including a dispute with former supporter Andree McLeod that had been reported in the Sept. 10 edition of The Washington Post.

As Post staff writers Michael D. Shear and Karl Vick reported on Sept. 18, a group of hackers said they had published the Palin emails “to expose what appeared to be her use of a personal account for government business.” Yet as “rubico” himself said, the hacked Yahoo account apparently contained nothing scandalous at all.

The initial flood of coverage of the Palin email saga soon slowed to a trickle, however, even as new and shocking information about the case was revealed. Why? Instead of revelations about a Republican scandal, the story’s focus quickly shifted to a federal crime investigation with a Democratic suspect. The major media’s interest evaporated just as quickly.

I’m sure it was just a coincidence.

FBI searches apartment in Palin hacking case

Sept. 22, 2008

WASHINGTON – The FBI searched the residence of the son of a Democratic state lawmaker in Tennessee over the weekend looking for evidence linking the young man to the hacking of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s personal e-mail account, two law enforcement officials told The Associated Press on Monday.

David Kernell, 20, has not returned repeated phone calls or e-mails from the AP since last week. He is the son of state Rep. Mike Kernell, a Memphis Democrat and chairman of Tennessee’s House Government Operations Committee. The father declined last week to discuss the possibility his son might be involved in the case.

When you are dealing with low life’s and low class, (actually I can think of another name for them but I digress:) You can learn very quickly not to be surprised when they go to the bottom of the barrel in their quest for intimidation and smears. My friends, another example of what we are growing in this country..with a little help from the institutions that educate them.

I don’t know about you but I think it is time for all to stop thinking: But what can I do? Just do it! Open your mouth and tell everybody everything you know. Start your own email campaign. Start a blog. Work for the campaign. Volunteer to call people to register to vote..Get out the vote..Just start. iT IS TIME FOR PASSION AS NEVER BEFORE!

The attacks will not miraculously stop, these moonbat lunatics have gotten away with too much for too long! My friends, we are in a war..Not only against Jihad coming to our shores and keeping the enemy at bay. We have a new enemy. One who is under cover. One who SABOTAGES.One who is lawless. One who will stoop to the lowest levels to get their way . Some to show how bright NOT!they are. Some for laughs. It does not matter. As Michelle Malkin’s blog says.. THERE IS A LINE YOU DO NOT CROSS ..Guess what? THEY HAVE CROSSED IT!

You know they do not only hate Sarah Palin. They hate you and I. They hate anything or anyone that has to do with Judeo-Christianity. Anyone who might dare believe in common decency and morals. Values…they have none. The MSM and many of our formerly great Universities are in bed with these loons.

They have posted her daughter Bristol’s cell phone #, family photo’s and private email. They are abominal pigs that do not deserve to have lipstick on .

They hacked in sometime early this morning between 3 and 4 a.m. The Feds are on it now and I hope they are sent away for a very long time.

Hello Hotmail users. There have been many attempts to hack hotmail.com. Unfortunately all of them have failed, EXCEPT this one. I though have found out a revolutionary way to hack hotmail. And might I add it’s as easy as ABC. After 8 months of research we have found the broken link. VerificationAutoBot to be exact. VerificationAutoBot@hotmail.com is a bot, an auto bot. You send it a letter and within a week it will send you one back. The ULTIMATE hack for hotmail is as follows:

First send a letter to verificationautobot@hotmail.com, second within the Subject heading place the word “Password” (not in quotes but has to have a capital P) this way the automated bot recognizes what you are after. Then in the text field place the name of the person at hotmail that you want to hack (Do not put @hotmail.com after their name). No capital letters are to be put in this place. Then skip three (3) lines and place your own hotmail account information such as: “My login: My password” (a semicolon makes it easier for the bot to recognize). This way the bot can verify that your account actually exists. And then supplies you with the password for the person’s account that you want it for. Here is an example:

You can find a lot of services on the net providing the CGI send mail accounts for free. Using these scripts you can easily get the username and password of the user directly to your email account when ever an user logs in through those screens.
