My all time favorite show “Scrubs” closed out its 8 year run this year.  It has been a long trek through the years, but the Scrubs characters have grown very close to my heart. Through the years I have had many a good evening sitting down with JD, Turk, Dr. Cox, Elliot, and Carla. But i have connected with the show on a deeper level. J.D. Was always the guy who almost had the fantasy. His mind trips and fantasies were signifies for what he really wanted in real life. He wanted, like any of us, for everything to be perfect. He wanted the girl, he wanted to settle down, he wanted his mentor/doctor to fulfill the role of his missing father. These are all things that are really easy to identify with. I spent 8 years rooting for J.D.  The faithful all did, we all loved J.D. and fount little things that we identified with. My bigest one was with his relationships. Granted my life is not nearly as sexual active as him, but there are still parallels. We have both been hurt. We both found ourselves trapped in relationships that we entered to fast into (JD’s relationship with Kim). We wanted things to be perfect, and all to often resigned ourselves to not be. We settle, and JD did that too often throughout the show.

I don’t want to settle. I want to have the girl of my dreams. I want to have my cake and eat it too. All of the cliche things. I don’t care. I want them. I’m not afraid to admit it. I want the fairy tale. Only it seems that in the end, my luck is not as good as JD. I hope i can come to the same realization that he does at the end of the show. I want to open up the “book of love.” I’m a hopeless romantic at heart. But i have gotten hurt so many times in the past I wonder and hope if there is ever a fairytale ending for me.

This final 5 minutes of the scrubs episode was the best 5 minutes of TV i have ever seen. It was so tastefully done, and beautiful. It keep the fantasy feel of JD’s moments throughout the years, but there is a wonderful nostalgia provided to the whole show. I was literally in tears. To travel through the 8 years with JD, it makes my last 5 years seem like nothing. That i can move on. That there might be a happy ending. With the tears streaming down my eyes, I could not help to give a smile, and hope.

Hope beyond all hope, that maybe there will be a happy ending.

Eh bien oui, Google s’invite ni plus ni moins dans nos mobiles et portables divers avec cette plateforme applicative comme solution de développement et comme OS pour “embeded systems”.

Le monde du mobile offre déjà pas mal de plateformes Os diverses, Google en rajoute une, mais pas que Google en fait, puisqu’il s’agit d’un projet de la “Open Handset Alliance” qui est un consortium dont Google s’avère être l’un des acteurs majeurs. Elle comprend d’autres compagnies telles que Intel, Samsung ou encore Motorola entres autre.

Alors qu’est ce qu’il a dans les tripes cet androïde?

Android comme le montrent les specs du système est architecturé autour de technologies open source éprouvées et se complétant assez favorablement pour offrir au développeur potentiel une aisance et un facilité d’exploitation maximale des caractéristiques offertes.

Il est bien sûr inutile de rappeler l’avantage qu’offre l’utilisation de composants opensource pour les développeurs. Nous devons tout juste conclure que le framework de développement offrira certainement à terme des possibilités de personnalisation poussée plus qu’intéressantes.

L’on peut prendre note de quelques analyses sur la plateforme là ou encore là.

De plus pour promouvoir toute l’affaire, Google à ouvert un Challenge de développement avec à la clé la coquette somme de 10 millions de dollars pour les projets les plus aboutis. Vous pouvez prendre connaissance des opportunités et du contenu du challenge ici, ou encore ici .

Quant au développement sous Android il existe un SDK et vous pouvez déjà vous y essayer grâce à quelques outils notamment pour Eclipse. N’oublions pas également ces quelques sites informatifs sur le développement de la plateforme here and here et même un forum here.

네이버가 중소 사이트를 위한 제퓨 프로그램 ‘사이트서치‘ 프로그램을 1월17일 공식 선보였다.

‘사이트서치’는 블로그나 카페, 홈페이지 등 중소 웹사이트가 별도의 검색엔진이나 자원 비용부담 없이 네이버 검색엔진을 이용해 자사 웹검색 서비스를 구축할 수 있도록 돕는 프로그램이다.

비슷한 서비스로는 구글 맞춤검색과 야후 서치 빌더 등이 있다. 구글이나 야후는 이용자가 직접 검색대상 사이트를 설정하고 검색창을 퍼나를 수 있도록 하는 반면, 네이버 ‘사이트서치’는 희망자로부터 제휴 신청을 받아 간단한 심사를 거쳐 제공한다.

‘사이트서치’는 API 방식과 UI 방식으로 나뉜다. API 방식은 해당 사이트 검색결과를 XML 형태로 제공하므로, 사이트 주인이 입맛에 맞게 검색결과화면 디자인을 꾸밀 수 있다. UI 방식은 네이버 통합검색 결과 디자인을 그대로 제공하므로, 입맛에 맞는 디자인을 꾸미지는 못하지만 별도로 손볼 필요 없이 빠르게 적용 가능하다는 장점이 있다.

네이버쪽은 “‘사이트서치’를 이용하려면 일정량의 자체 컨텐트를 보유하고, 해당 컨텐트가 저작권에 위배되지 않으며, 반사회적이고 불법적인 내용을 포함하고 있지 않아야 한다”고 밝히고 있다. ‘사이트서치’를 적용한 사이트의 컨텐트는 네이버 검색결과에도 노출된다.

이재범 NHN 기술연구센터장은 “이번 제휴 프로그램을 통해 중소 사이트들이 예산, 리소스의 부담 없이 양질의 검색 서비스를 제공함으로써 사이트 활성화의 계기를 마련하기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

Its a new year and with it comes a new producer up in the house at Revision3. Roger Chang, formerly of DL.tv is now producing and doing the camera work for the Systm tv show, and all I can say is that I am enjoying it. The show feels less, claustrophobic. The camera moves around, the show is a bit more airy feeling, and Patrick Norton looks like he is having a bit more fun on the show, a feeling that kind of rubs off on the audience. Defiantly a huge improvement, the show is getting better, I like it.

The subject matter this week was extracting hydrogen from water using electricity, and its uses in automotive efficiency. Very cool, very interesting, and I think it deserved a bit more time. I know that many people theorize that web casts need to be shorter and more concise, but I am of the opinion that they should be similar in length to broadcast television, especially when they occur once a week.
