OFFICIAL FLASHMOB VIDEO DANCE TRIBUTE Michael Jackson la CLUJ NAPOCA – cel mai mare si primul FLASHMOB din Romania a avut azi (12.10.09)  loc la CLUJ in fata Casei de Cultura a Studentilor.  Prezenti au fost 437 de participanti, o multime de CLUJENI care au dansat in fata CASEI DE CULTURA A STUDENTILOR, pe trei hituri: ‘Thriller’ (MJ), ‘We will Rock You’(Queen)  si bineinteles ‘BEAT IT’(MJ), blocand astfel circulatia in Piata Lucian Blaga.

In foarte multe orase din diferite tari s-au organizat astfel de evenimente, respectiv: MJ Dance Tribute… insa la CLUJ este vorba de un eveniment putin mai diferit. Am organizat un Flashmob in care am introdus 1 melodie memorabila de la formatia Queen si 2 melodii ale marelui cantaret si dansator M. Jackson, care a inspirat o lume intreaga. Evenimentul promoveaza practic Galele Studentesti organizate de Casa de Cultura a Studentilor si este o initiativa a Ministerului Tineretului si Sportului.

Urmatoarea locatie pentru acest Flashmob va avea loc joi (15.10.09)  in clubul Obsession unde participantii sunt invitati sa-si reaplice pasii invatati. Bineinteles CluJEnii vor dansa si in alte locatii din Cluj intr-un numar si mai mare de persoane (speram) si vor pregati si alte coregrafii.  Momentan nu stim exact unde, dar ne vom decide cat de curand si va vom informa unde anume va avea loc urmatorul FlashMob din Cluj. Probabil CLUJENII nu vor mai incurca circulatia din fata Casei de Cultura a Studentilor, (Politia Cluj a fost bineinteles prezenta),  insa este posibil sa dansam chiar si  pe treptele din fata Teatrului National din Cluj Napoca. We’ll see.

Cel mai mare FLASHMOB din Romania a avut loc la Cluj!

Este efectiv admirabil, cum printr-un astfel de eveniment, respectiv DANCE FlashMOB – VIDEO, sa poti unii atatia oameni care se dovedesc a fii dornici sa participe la astfel de activitati care le provoaca o stare deosebita, practic ei devin fericiti!
Ar trebui sa ne obisnuim sa organizam astfel de evenimente mai des, e vorba de socializare, distractie si miscare. Sunt multe pareri care sustin ca acest eveniment ar fii deja expirat… si fara rost… Ar fii bine atunci sa aducem argumentele potrivite… spre exemplu ‘minunata’ generatie EMO… v-ati gandit vreodata sa faceti ceva impotriva asta? Din ce in ce mai multi tineri nu ajung nici macar la o varsta majora si deja sunt plictisiti de viata, tristi si fara chef de nimic, iar din pacate unii isi iau chiar singuri viata.

Ei bine, acum din pacate, nu demult s-a stins si regele muzicii pop, Michael Jackson, care la randul lui nu a avut o copilarie minunata. Lumea il judeca fara drept… Dar oare stia cineva cat a suferit acesta si de ce a inceput practic cu operatiile? Sa fii cel mai bun din Jacskon Five, si la un mic ton gresit (la repetitii) sa fii lovit cu un lemn de catre propriul tata? Iar apoi sa-ti spuna vesnic ca ai cel mai urat nas dintre toti fratii… Oare stiati faptul ca o mica jignire, un cuvant, venit de la parinte catre propriul copil, ii provoaca acestuia cateva ore de demoralizare psihica? Si pentru acel cuvant rostit, vrut sau nevrut, copilul va avea nevoie sa auda cel putin 9 cuvinte de lauda (tot de la parinte) pentru a ajunge la o stare psihica echilibrata? Si mai stiati faptul ca uneori nu se intampla niciodata acest lucru… ca si in cazul lui Michael Jackson…???
Dupa toate cele, a rezistat si a reusit sa ajunga THE KING OF POP, cu toate ca psihic nu o ducea excelent… nici nu avea cum dupa o astfel de copilarie.
Acum oare sa ne intrebam de unde atatia Emo Kids in lumea asta? NU… probabil as ajunge sa jignesc parintii in astfel de cazuri, care la randul lor sunt tot niste copii…

Dupa moartea regelui pop, fanii si nu numai, au inceput sa dea drumul la astfel de evenimente, DANCE Tribute pentru Michael Jackson. Acum daca ar fi sa reformulez intrebarea initiala, pentru cei care considera astfel de activitati a fii copiate si expirate… oare ce anume ar raspunde??? [Trebuie sa tinem cont si de faptul ca nimic din lumea asta nu e nou... si atunci cand poate ti se pare ca ai cea mai geniala idee... cu parere de rau poti afla... ca sigur  ea exista deja... In fine asta deja e filosofie... dar acum practic... sincer... sa presupunem ca dorim sa organizam ceva... ok... asta e premisa... un dans... OK?! Sau o scena de teatru... pentru amatori... sariti cu idei si cine stie, le aplicam ]

Prostia omeneasca consta tocmai in faptul ca nu vedem niciodata ce avem, doar dupa ce nu mai exista… Asa sunt majoritatea oamenilor… sa fie oare invatamantul de vina? Invatamant care nu introduce in programa scolara opere apartinand autorilor in viata doar dupa ce acestia se sting…? ETC. Sunt ferm convinsa ca in fiecare domeniu exista o sumedenie de cazuri ‘exemplare….

Asadar… daca tot nu ne-a dus capul sa facem astfel de evenimente cand mai era Jackson in viata, poate chiar ar fi luat avionul si ne-ar fi vizitat… (eu in locul lui as fi facut-o)… de ce sa nu o facem acum… decat niciodata??? Vorba IMNULUI pe care l-am invatat de mici… “Acum ori niciodata croieste-ti alta soarta…” PACAT ca la scoala am fost ‘invatati’ sa memoram, sa tocim… in loc sa intelegem si sa aplicam…Merci pentru cei care au avut rabdare sa citeasca tot.

I have always been a fan of music rhythm games. I’ve always wanted to be a “guitar hero” who “starts a band” and leads a “rock revolution”.

I’ve always bought the games that are released without thinking twice about what I was playing. Sure, most of the songs were pure trash – just awful sounding songs with repetitive guitar riffs such as all Megadeth and Foo Fighters songs. But as awful as some of the songs may be, I never really thought that there may be a deeper, hidden meaning making sense of why those songs are featured in the games while some artists never make it. That was until today.

You see, I decided to pick up the Beatles: The Rock Band (a product of Harmonix) from my local Gamestop. I popped the disc in and beat the game within 2 hours. I had never really been a fan of the Beatles or heard their music before, so I wasn’t sure what I was getting with my purchase. What I got was 40 songs of peace-filled lyrics and an idealistic way of life living with walruses in a sky of diamonds while holding a girl’s hand. Now that is a nice feeling – being one with the cosmos. But it’s also pure unrealistic bull crap.

Love.

I took a second and thought about what other games could be telling me. Of course, the first one that popped into my mind was Metallica: The Guitar Hero (a product of Activision). Anybody who knows anything about metal, gothic people, Metallica, and emo kids knows that Metallica is a band full of hatred, profanity, atheism, and depressing words declaring war on anybody who tries to “bring them down”.

Hatred.

I sat on my bench. My palm on my face. Thinking about what I had just discovered. It was obvious to me now. And I knew that my rhythm game playing would never be the same again.

Here is what I discovered:

Harmonix promotes peace via The Beatles.

Activision promotes war via Metallica.

Harmonix must be a libaral since they are all about peace.

Activision must be concervative since they are all about war.

–

Harmonix must be evil since they are libaral.

Activision must be good since they are concervative.

–

But both companies released games by bands that suck, therefore neither should be taken seriously.

I think that really says a lot about real life tbh. Everything seems to be hypocritical. I’m not sure if libarality or concervitivosity is better. Actually, I’m not sure if any political views is better than another.

But I do know that libartarian is best. And that was expressed through Rock Revolution (a product of Konami) which failed massively and hit the clearance rack before its release much like most libartarian candidates do in elections.

I think Konami will release Rush: The Rock Revolution featuring more amazing Rush cover songs in an effort to defeat the libaral and concervative rhythm game companies.

Muse: The Rock Revolution is also a possibility too as recommended by Glenn Beck.

Regardless, my life is changed. I am going to be more careful which rhythm music games I buy. Of course, I will be buying DJ Hero though, I don’t want to be accused of being a racist for discriminating against this particular game via most black people like DJ’s/hiphop/rap.

Well, on the personal front…as I watch my Denver Broncos get killed by the Chicago Bears and Jay Whiner Cutler…

I am still suffering from hip/lower back pain caused by my Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction. I am doing the exercises and stretches prescribed by my physical therapist as well as some good videos on You Tube. After bring to the physical therapist 2 times for this I felt that I had it under control, however after the San Diego Marathon I stopped doing the exercises and stretched and now that I have started to get somewhat serious about my running the pain is back as bad as ever. But I am serious about doing the Denver marathon or at least half marathon and I will keep doing what I need to do . I have found some stretches and exercises that really seem to help, and as soon as I can get Lyndsey up to pulling my right leg as hard as she can to try and snap my SI joint into place, I feel that I will be doing well. Right now if I keep it at 10:30 per mile or slower I feel ok, but faster or downhill will cause a real pain in the joint and lower back.
If I go back to Denver I will go on another Invesco Field tour and spend the day at the best brewery anywhere, Great Divide. Try the 15th anniversary, it is the best beer I have ever had.

I was looking around my friendster account and I found my old, old blog way way back October 2008. There’s pretty number of posts there and I was reading them. My friend ask me about certain post about “emo”-ish thing. I wonder what is it and I found out that it was the wallpaper I’ve created back from my old work.

It was a pretty free time there and I don’t have any job to do so I decided to draw human-like creature but I really don’t draw, at all haha.. My office mate seen my drawing and said to make it in photoshop instead. Maybe they didn’t like my drawing that’s why. So, the Photoshop loads and I started my creation. It took me almost 1 hour to finish it and I am amazed to the output.

Maybe it looks like newbie to you but for me its such a cute little emo-ish thing. hope you like it.

I stumbled upon the Eye-Fi Geo on a gadget site that I frequent. It is a 2Gb SD card for your camera which uses GPS triangulation to Geo-Tag your pictures. In non-nerd this means “I just took me a picture in Germany uh-huh…ahh snap dawg! My computer says I took this picture in Germany dawg!”

This got me thinking, that from my experience with digital photography, most cameras never leave the house. Mind you, this information comes mostly from MySpace browsing.

I would submit to the Eye-Fi company that these cards should be quite precise. I have included some mock-ups and illustrations showing the desired operation:

This level of GPS accuracy is necessary for a successful product.

found this little gem on vimeo about a week ago: brantley jones’s (1st year MOS project at NYU) errands. it’s wonderful(ly absurd) and exactly the way i like to have my plots pan out. characters are also more complex than you usually see in films with so many restrictions, including: 1) 4 mins, 2) only exterior locations, 3) no dialogue or music! bravo!

my sisters and i have been reminiscing about the songs we wrote at 14 and under. what a lot of emo kids my mother gave birth to! we do not take growing pains gracefully.

OK, I admit. Some of these things aren’t exactly Facebook’s fault, but more the fault of some of the Facebook-using folk. Here, I’ll explain.

1. I hate when people list “tanning” in their profile under “Interests”. Tanning is not an interest, nor a hobby. Tanning is bad for your skin. There was this girl in one of my classes in high school who was permanently orange. Me and my (pale) friend called her “The Sun-Dried Tomato”. She looked ridiculous.
2. I hate that I actually know people who put “tanning” on their profile under “Interests”.
3. When teenage moms take sexy selfie photos with their babies. I’ve only seen this done twice but it disgusted me both times. I hope these babies grow up to see their mom was such a camera/attention/Facebook whore and then rebel by getting tons of piercings and trying drugs.
4. Bored “adults” who have WAY too much time on their hands and play a thousand different Facebook games, use a bunch of dumb applications and then invite everybody they know to join in.
5. I hate that there is a “Like” option but no “Dislike” option. As my friend Claire said, “I would use that a lot more.”
6. People who update their status WAY too many times in a day. “Bob just woke up.” “Bob is brushing his teeth.” “Bob is leaving for work.” “Bob is at work.” “Bob needs to get back to work and stop going on Facebook at work.” “Bob needs to prove he has a fulfilling life by updating his status as often as possible.” “Bob should start a Twitter account.”
7. Groups that demand people join because “if we get 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 members, we can stop Facebook from shutting own!!!!!!!1″ Lame. Stop it. And yet these groups do actually have thousands and thousands of members. The number of gullible folk in this world is tragic.
8. Little 13-year-old emo kids complaining about the stresses of their junior high lives. (They have NO IDEA what they’re in for.)
9. Teenagers who constantly put “gettin high wit mah boyeeez 2nite” or the 14-year-olds who put “getting hammered tonight” in their status. Hello, um, people can see your status updates, idiots.
10. I hate that Facebook has been going strong for a couple years now and I’m still fully addicted. *le sigh* Facebook, I’d get so much done if it weren’t for you.
