Here’s an announcement from me on the progress of this site.

So far, Season 1 subbed links of the DM series have been set up and available for download and complete RAW torrent links have been set up as well. As this is a newly constructed site, I apologise for the lack of many episodes, but rest assured that the other links will be put up soon. I currently have links to the complete series of DM in megaupload links which I have yet to upload.

I really appreciate your support on reporting dead links or problems that you have encountered while using the site, so that I may fix those problems as soon as I can, and also construct a FAQ section. Thank you for your support.

I will be setting up the other links as soon as I can so that I would be able to start putting up the links for the other series, such as GX and 5Ds.

Cheers,

BEIJING (Reuters Life!) – A Chinese city with one of the nation’s highest rates of AIDS has opened a government-funded gay bar in an outreach effort that has stirred debate over the use of taxpayers’ money. The health department in Dali, a picturesque city on a lake in southwestern Yunnan province, funded the bar to reach out to China’s increasingly open gay community. Dali is one of the 10 cities in China most affected by AIDS.

Same-sex transmission accounts for about one-third of new HIV infections in China, the minister of health said this month.

“Some readers think that it’s a waste of taxpayer money, or an indirect endorsement of homosexual behavior,” the Beijing News said in an opinion piece on Monday, citing letters to the editor after it ran an article on the bar over the weekend.

“They think if there were another way to reach out to the gay community, it wouldn’t be necessary to open a bar.”

Founder Zhang Jianbo hopes that the bar will be a public gathering place for gay men, especially from rural villages, who used to gather in a patch of woods near the historic town.

The bar offers sex education and free condoms, in addition to companionship, Zhang said in an interview with the newspaper.

Though funded by the government, the bar is staffed by volunteers from a local non-government organization that works to prevent AIDS.

“Each year, the Dali city government spends 20,000 yuan ($2,929) on treatment drugs for AIDS. So if our bar succeeds in reducing transmission, our 120,000 yuan will be well-spend,” Jiang Anmin, deputy director of health in Dali, told the paper.

China’s gay community for decades lived in fear of discrimination and prejudice, with the earliest gay bars often the targets of police raids and closures while homosexuals often married women to avoid family and social pressures.

China now has about 100,000 known AIDS cases, but some health experts worry that HIV could spread easily among migrant workers and other hard-to-reach sectors. The government has switched to a strategy of outreach to the gay community, as part of efforts over the past few years to fight the spread of HIV.

“In the past the government relied on NGOs to reach out to the gay community,” Bing Lan, director of outreach organization Aibai, told Reuters.

“Now there’s a change, in that some local health bureaus feel they are able to reach out to the community themselves.”

But one unintended consequence of outreach efforts in parks, bars and bathhouses frequented by gay men, Bing said, is that some gay men now avoid those haunts for fear of being found out.

“Today I saw a blog, saying that when the bar in Dali has its official opening on World Aids Day, no-one will dare to go because there will be too many reporters there,” he said.

The highly-anticipated TVB anniversary series of year 2009, Beyond the Realm of Conscience (宮心計) finally ended last Sunday. I do not buy Astro on Demand package here in Malaysia, so I have to wait intensely for today to watch the last two episodes of the series.

My comment on it;

Thrilling

Exciting

Interesting

Fantastic

BEST!!!

Nothing more I can say, overall the plot is very nice, touching and unforgettable scenes, excellent actors and actresses, good directors, capable staff, fantastic theme songs, etc…no doubt that this series will win the TVB 42nd anniversary awards (Best Series Award), overwhelming Rosy Business. Honestly, Rosy Business is nice, but not as exciting as Beyond the Realm of Conscience.

One more thing, best actress should go to Tavia Yeung. Her performance especially in the last few episodes of the series are awesome, thrilling…her facial and eyes expression are super cool, and make you to love her evilness. This is the first time she acted as the villain (main villain somemore) and she portrayed the character well. Sheren Tang from Rosy Business might win the Most Favourite Female Character one. Great improvement and performance by Tavia.

Some screenshots showing the evilness of Tavia in the series:

Cool, isn’t it…what a fantastic series…this series recorded the highest ever TVB ratings, the final episodes achieved 46 rating points, peaking at 50, similar to Moonlight Resonance (TVB series) and Jewel In The Palace (non-TVB series). These three series share the same title of series with highest ranking points. Honestly, this time the series is aired in Malaysia and Brunei on the same time too (under Astro on Demand package), hence to be exact, this series has won it, if includes Malaysian and Brunei viewers.

Will TVB make this kind of exciting series again? Hope so…now waiting for 4th of December to watch the TVB 42nd anniversary awards, it would be a birthday present for me if Tavia win best actress, and this series win best series…since that day is exactly my birthday date too…so coincidence…

Diamonds are clear and sparkling stones but diamonds can also come in different colors. Diamonds signify wealth, style and elegance.

Blue diamond engagement rings are very unique and beautiful. They can be quite expensive because of its rarity and the process that it underwent before obtaining its enhanced color and quality. Its color is what makes it really expensive. But those who buy such rings are not really after the price but its uniqueness.

That’s why these diamond engagement rings are very magnificent and impressing when used as a symbol of commitment and engagement. They can be considered as very special gifts and treasures.

There are several grand names given to the largest and most popular blue diamonds: Blue Empress, Heart of Eternity and Hope.

Blue diamonds are considered to be one of the rarest types of diamonds in the world. These natural diamonds are almost non-existent, that is why anyone who is offered with “natural blue diamonds” should always check the genuineness of such gems before purchasing.

These types of diamonds are one of those so-called fancy diamonds, meaning, they posses a strong and attractive and appealing color. They have undergone a diamond treatment process called irradiation wherein they obtain their blue color. Most fancy diamonds are more expensive than the colorless or plain ones because of this process.

If you are wondering where the color blue in blue diamonds come from, wonder no more. The small amount of boron that has been trapped in the diamonds crystal structure is the key element responsible for its color. And this also makes blue diamonds conducive to electricity.

To those who are interested in buying this special diamond engagement ring, you must know that the darker the color blue, it means that it has a better quality. And remember that most blue diamonds available in the market today are man made. And always check the genuineness of the item you are buying.

Online Gossip Girl streaming is getting very popular these days. Good news, you can now stream it online and watch during your free time. Before you watch Gossip Girl, here is a little background and review of the show. Then you can consider whether it is a show worth watching.

Gossip Girl started off in September 18, 2007 in high anticipation due to the popular novel series. The show revolves around a group of young adults having to face teenage issues that are faced by any other teenager such as sex, drugs, and jealousy. What is interesting is that all the characters attend elite academic schools and come from different family backgrounds. The actors and actresses dress in designer clothes which is another reason why the show is so popular worldwide.

Season 1 has ended with only 18 episodes due to the writers’ strike. Though the show received low ratings, it is coming back again with a second season containing 24 episodes. Few months back, it was said that Gossip Girl will not be streamed online for the second season. However the show producers have changed their mind last month and they will be streaming the show online. The only restriction is that only U.S. citizens can watch the episodes online from their website.

Due to that, there are quite a number of third party video sites showing Gossip Girl online. The latest episodes are often released just one day after the original air time. Fans from anywhere in the world can now watch Gossip Girl online episodes for free in high quality definition video. Buffering speed would depend on how fast your connection is.

With so many criminal investigation shows on TV these days, what’s your favorite? One all too

With so many criminal investigation shows on TV these days, what’s your favorite? One all too popular with many people is CSI. Two years later, and you’ve got the spin-off series, CSI: Miami. Two more years later, another spin-off, CSI: NY.

I’ve come across the CSI franchise a few times on TV, and I’ve watched a few episodes here and there. My overall reaction to the show — Eh. More specifically, I’ll be speaking of CSI: Miami here.

I just can’t get past the attractive CSI unit all working under one roof with seamlessly pressed attire, occasional cleavage for the women, and the take-me-serious looks, both in visual appearance and forensic intellect. This effect is so noticeably funny that if that whole aspect of the show was a joke, I’d think it was the funniest show ever.

Horatio Caine’s acting performance in CSI: Miami is from a whole other decade, and I don’t mean that in a good way. I suppose it works for the show though, since everything else is just so unbelievable and overly fictionalized. For example, what agency actually has all this future-forward technology that makes finding a criminal look as simple as turning on a light switch. Also, the interrogation room secretly says, “Hey, why not take in the beautiful panoramic view while you’re in the hot seat via our ground-to-ceiling windows.”

Whatever happened to the separate positions worked by many individuals in a real CSI team: latent print examiner, forensic photographer, serologist, varying chemists, homicide detectives, etc. I understand it’s a TV show and that TV can’t always project a realistic fiction series, but there are plenty of shows in the same genre that stick to the realistic structure of how a crime investigation works through the hands of many people. I’ll admit that the whole appeal that repels me from watching the show is the very thing that gains a lot of the viewers.

The deal breaker though — the anti-climatic feeling of their solved cases, which is almost as bad as the ending conclusions in Law & Order: Criminal Intent (but that’s another story). I much prefer Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, and Criminal Minds. This blog post was just meant to give my opinion of the show, and I’m not trying to bash anyone for liking it. Actually, my mom loves the Miami spin-off, and she refuses to watch the other CSIs. Go figure.

Bottom line: CSI: Miami is just too Hollywood for me.

CSI: Miami airs Mondays 10/9 c on CBS.

In “American Idol,” slot players can trigger a bonus round that lets them become one of three judges — Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi or Randy Jackson — and then plays video clips of past contestants, good AND bad.

According to Sphere.com, Paula Abdul was the lone holdout participant even BEFORE she announced she was leaving the show. Innnteresting.

Meanwhile, the “Sex and the City” slot machines are subtitled “Change of a Dress.” Clever, no? They feature bonus rounds that include video clips of all four women plus Mr. Big.

International Game Technology spokeswoman Julie Brown told Sphere, “There’s shoes and purses and lots of bling and big bonuses and the music track, and it’s a very interactive game.”

Speaking of Mr. Big, Chris Noth helped unveil the “Sex and the City” slot machine in Las Vegas. Video below.

It’s been a few days, but I can tell you that I’m still in the dragon saddle for Episode 7. Part 1.6 is a bit of a throwback, as I used the point-and-shoot technique instead of using up another DVD. I need those for a certain “other” game… wink wink, nudge nudge.
It’s a little lame, I know, but I think it works well in a pinch. But that will be for you to decide–tomorrow! And with luck, Part 2.0 should be quick on its heels

EDIT: So, no surprise here: I’m not going to get done recording in the next 52 minutes. Today was “Christmas decorating and recovering from Friday night Day”. You’ll have a better chance of seeing the episode tomorrow.

Hi there Imabari! I’m Jeremy. Thanks for tuning into Soundwaves. This is episode five. On today’s program – keeping the cold away! How to stay warm during these winter months. And we talk about first jobs. We all have to start somewhere.

Today is Wednesday, November 25th 2009. In today’s birthdays, Joe DiMaggio was born in 1914. Known as one of the most famous baseball players of all time, DiMaggio played for the New York Yankees from 1936 until 1942 and again from 1946 to 1951, a 15 year span.

And on this day in 1970, Japanese author, poet and playwright Yukio Mishima committed suicide. Yukio Mishima was perhaps best known for the novel Confessions of a Mask, a story of a young homosexual who must hide behind a mask to fit into society. He committed suicide at the Ichigaya Self-Defence Force camp in Tokyo while trying to raise a coup.

I’ll be back right after this music break.

[Music Break]

I’m from Canada, a country which is well known for being cold. We have many ways of fighting the cold weather. How about Japan? How do you like to stay warm? I know that Japanese people love to be warm but Japanese houses and schools are so cold.

Most people in Canada stay warm by using the heating in their house. All houses and schools have a big furnace, so each room has heat. Sometimes it can get expensive to keep the heat on in the wintertime.

In Japan, I think that people think differently. Instead of heating the whole house, they want to heat just one room. Instead of heating the schools, everyone wears warm clothes and uses heating pads. I think this is smart because it’s more ecological than what we do in Canada.

Also, many Japanese people like to take a hot bath every night before they go to sleep. I think this is very different that what Canadian people do. Canadian people like to take showers in the morning and before they go to sleep sometimes.

Japanese people spend a lot of money on things for the bath as well. All kinds of bath salts and other special herbs, bath pillows, and even fancy things like waterproof TVs and music players, and recently even waterproof cell phones for sending mail while in the bathtub. I don’t have any of these things because I have never taken a bath at my house.

I do like to go to the onsen sometimes though. How about you? Do you like going to onsens? Have you been to any really good ones around Imabari? I went to Nibukawa Onsen last month. It was great! I thought that Nibukawa Onsen is better than Dogo Onsen. The water is much better. What do you think?

We will be right back after this next song. Check it out!

[Music Break]

My favorite way of getting warm is to eat hot food. Especially things like gratin and hot soup and stew and cup noodles. Yes, cup noodles are maybe my favorite thing to eat when I’m cold and watching TV. There’s so many types of cup noodles in Japan as well. We do have cup noodles in Canada but we don’t have as many types as Japan. I was surprised to go to a supermarket in Japan and see all the different flavors. Also the quality is so good in Japan. If you pay a little more money for noodles here, you can get some pork or special sauce included. It tastes much more like a real ramen shop’s noodles, but it’s not as expensive as real ramen. We don’t have anything like that in Canada.

What is your favorite flavor of cup noodle? The most popular flavors are shoyu, miso, and tonkotsu. But there are also shio, seafood, curry, and butter corn flavors. I love tonkotsu. But I like all flavors. Have you ever tried cup yakisoba? The most popular brand is called UFO. I like shio yakisoba the best. It’s so good.

I’m going to go to Seoul, Korea for Christmas this year. It’s so cold in Korea in the wintertime. In fact, I’ve heard that Korea is much colder than Japan in the wintertime. I’m planning on eating many hot and spicy foods to keep myself warm. I really like to eat toppogi and chijimi when it’s cold. It’s important to keep your stamina up.

One popular way of keeping warm is drinking hot sake. That is a very quick way to become warm. Have you tried other hot alcohol before? How about hot umeshu? Do you think it’s nice?

And if all else fails, it might help to close your eyes and imagine yourself sitting in front of a big, roaring fire. I hope you are all staying warm tonight.

Sit back and listen to this next track.

[Music Break]

Do you remember your first ever job? How old were you at the time?

I was 17 years old and in high school. In Canada, we have a long summer vacation, about two months. During this time, many teenagers like to work to make extra money. I worked at a summer camp during my summer vacation. It was a great job and I really loved it. But I should explain what a summer camp is and how it works. We have lots of nature in Canada. Many islands and lakes and rivers and mountains. Well, there are special camping areas there for children to go to and spend usually one week or so at. The purpose of summer camps is to play sports and enjoy the outdoors, and probably to give parents some time away from their children.

The children stay in cabins in groups, divided up by age. My job was to take care of children. I had about 10 children that I had to look after. I led them in activities like hiking, campfire songs, water sports, and crafts. The job didn’t pay so well at all, but it was my favorite job that I’ve done. I think that if I hadn’t worked at the summer camp, I wouldn’t be interested in teaching.

I took my second job because I was trying to save money to buy my airplane ticket to come to Japan. I was 19 years old, and I had just graduated from high school. I applied for many jobs and decided to take a job at a big office supply shop. I worked there for about 6 months, moving boxes and helping customers find pencils and erasers. Finally I had saved enough money to buy my ticket. It was probably the most low-paying job and physically intensive job I had worked, but I was glad that I had the experience of trying different types of work.

[Music Break]

And now some local events.

The Momiji Matsuri, or Maple Festival is being held everyday until the end of November in Ozu City. At Niiya Inariyama Park, there are more than 3000 maple trees in their autumn colours. There are many street stalls selling local products there. To get there, take JR to Niiya station and walk 20 minutes to the Inariyama park.

[Map to Inariyama Park]

At EPIC, or the Ehime Prefectural International Center in Matsuyama, the annual International Festival will be held on Sunday November 29th from 9:00am until 3:30pm. There will be many events and games, as well as delicious food from many countries. To get there, take the streetcar from Matsuyama Station for Dogo Onsen and get off at the Kenminbunkakaikanmae stop.

TD’s part is directing this short movie. A crew of 17 was reunited after days of casting. Most of the preparation took place at the border town of Namaacha, were the shooting happened.

The group met one week before to identify good shooting spots and other technical aspects. They picked one of the very few restaurants in Namaacha to eat. Over lunch they discussed the movie and the absence of the main star. After being selected though an arduous interviewing process, he just didn’t show up. They were already prepared to surpass the movie budget by contracting some other film star, regardless of asked price, when the waiter serving their table interrupted:

“A Namaacha waiter knowing how to act?” I thought. “I wish I could make a movie about that movie!”

(In reality, filming was postponed to December, due to the heavy rain uninterruptedly falling and to the director’s absence in Europe.)
