Hello Everyone!

So I’m extremely bored and I’ve had this look done for a while now, but haven’t had the chance of posting it. So ta-da here I am . I put together this look with this adorable red dress by *LP* Designs in mind. Liberty Shinn, the owner of LP, has released so many cute items that have become wardrobe staples for me. Definitely a store to keep a look out on. Like always, temptation got the best of me and made me buy those beautiful shoes from Kookie. That’s okay though, because I LOVE them sooo much and can’t seem to take them off… at all xD. The Vintage Jacket from SMS completed this look, IMO, so I headed over to the store and picked up this blue-brown color for my soon to be collection- woot!

So, 50L black friday was a huge success! There were so many fabulous items and so many great designers. Even though I only went to a few stores, due to RL stuff, this Tweed jacket from *Fishy Strawberry* is one of my favorite items that I was able to get.

One of my favorite skins of all time, that I own, are the Jane skins from Rotten Toe. Elsa Liebknecht, the owner of Rotten Toe, has updated these beautiful skins and wow! they are amazing! I’m even more in love . The updated skins come with the option of light or dark eyebrows, more make-ups and even a new skin tone! If you still aren’t sold, there are two FREE Jane skins available at the store. One in the lucky chair and the other is a group gift-both are beautiful!

TODAY’s RAMBLINGS:
I used to work retail many many years ago (freshman in college) and worked through 3 years of Black Friday.. and since that time, i refuse, absolutely REFUSE to run out shopping like a maniac for those limited time sales. I am just not that insane! That however didn’t stop me from doing the sales here in SL! I fought through the lag and ran over some heifers to get towards what i wanted, i did the 50Ls Friday sales as well as other stores and i came away with too much and spent even more! I’m holding myself down from posting all the 50L Friday goodies right away, mainly because everyone has done them already, I plan on incorporating them into my everyday look (swear this blog is my excuse to shop) as always so you’ll be seeing them float around from time to time.

I, however, couldn’t stop myself from posting about the Cape Cod skybox from Molto Bene!. Only 50Ls for 3 rooms with changeable walls and flooring and seriously it made me squeal! All my pics were taken in it, and I know its super empty right now but I’m slowly starting to furnish it. I adore it so much and what started out as simply another studio for pictures is quickly turning into my new home.

Wait.. this is a fashion blog right? I forget sometimes with my rambling! Jacket is the newest release from Apple May Designs and at only 100Ls each it’s an incredible bargain, what’s even better is the fat pack of 5 colors is only 375Ls! I know, why buy separate when you can just fatpack it! The shoes are one of my faves and was bought a year ago it seems! I’ve never blogged them before and they definitely deserve the attention. Incredibly well made and selling for a super fair price, AW Designs is seriously WIN for these, plus they come in funky patterns, I happen to have on the Leopard (rawwwr). I did say i would try to not blog any 50Ls Friday items just yet, but i couldn’t help myself with Epoque’s baggy knit cap, its color changeable and too friggin adorable not for me to sport. Lastly, i need to send a shout out to the incredible Aranel Ah of Boom, her new cashmere sweaters are what yummie fall and winter dreams are made of! Gorgeously made and comes in a variety of colors and layers to mix and match with all your favorite clothing items.

Gotta say it, I’m feelin’ all sorts of cute, all this shopping and I didn’t even have to cut a bitch!

Blustery Days

Blustery days are something I’m familiar with.  Here, on the coast, we get them fairly often.  Raging winds, violent gusts, horizontal rains, abrupt puffs… the days, when fixing your hair or doing your makeup, is just… pointless.  You wrap up in whatever easy warmth you can find, grab a bag that wont blow away or get ruined by the weather, and make your way out the door.  Or at least that’s my practice.

That’s not to say I don’t enjoy them.  There’s just something about those days, that hits a nostalgic air with me.  Thus, today’s post, is in honor of my hopes, for a blustery day in the near future.  I’ve pieced together a simple look, that could be taken to both worlds, something easy to toss together and basic.  My favorite piece is this bag from Gritty Kitty, I would not hesitate to carry this around in real life, and the same, here in SL.  The detail is just amazing, its hard not to want to put it with every outfit.  Once again, Surf Couture wows me with their footwear… snug sweater boots, they come in many colors, and… if that’s not it, the sock portion (medium grey in the photo) changes colors by script, to match any outfit!  I fell in love with this jacket sweater from KiiToS!! the moment I saw it… these are a staple in my wardrobe, easy to match, easy to wear, easy to please.  The new sweater dress from Linc, comes in many shades, and, like most Linc products, shows plenty of skin if needed, but also layers up quite nicely.  Minimal modifications were needed to make the collars lapse correctly, it really did all fall into place.  Linc also has these long underwear/tights out, with a cute detailed knit texture, they could complete any winter look.  I matched the tights with the hat from epoque which I am in love with, the ear muffs from Artilleri, and these glasses from tres blah.  I was so in love with this hair from !lamb, which I featured yesterday in the blood fruit shade, that I had to go back and get it in blacks, my color of choice <3.

Seasonal Savings!

Black Friday… my cue to stay off the roads, huddle up on the sofa, and read a good book.  Or in the case of this year, to work.  Never have I been one to brave the hordes and fight the frenzy to save a few extra bucks in the real life grid.  In fact, never have I been a huge fan of shopping at all, in that alternate world we like to call real life.  However, this year, I decided to change things up a bit, shop till I dropped, black friday style… in SL!  And boy was it worth it, 50L  Black Friday was a huge success!  While many fridays I find less than a handful of goods to add to my collection, this one… I found TONS!  And not all of them are even pictured here.  Showcased this week, are the amazing boots that Surf Couture put out for.. thats right… 50L!!! Aren’t these boots absolutely gasm worthy? Available in any color you might want to complete that cold weather friendly look, these red holiday sweater print ones are definitely my choice, and even better when you save $L getting them! The bag from Tres Blah, also one of my favorite features, is flawlessly ruffled and adorably animated.  The glasses, also tb, are just as adorkable as the bag, and add the right oomph to this skin… FABULOUSLY FREE FROM FREE SPEERIT!  Join the Free Speerit group, and check the notices, and you too can be glowing gold with Fiona.  Sh*t Happens released 4 sets of tights, in 13 colors each!  Lamb, really blew me away with their 50 L Friday releases, 3 styles of hair, this one, being my favorite by far.  Vivid color, edgy cut, unique in its styling… Whoop Dee Doo lives up to its name.  The knit cap, hard to see, is from Epoque and I love love love it, for 50 L, it changes color, and fits so perfectly over several styles that most fashionistas like myself have lingering in their inventory.  caLLie cLine released these cute antlers for the event, which, are far better than any pair of antlers that I have from former years of Christmasing about the grid, along with this giant black rock ring.  With the tweed jacket from Fishy Strawberry, and cord skirt from kyoot (not 50L friday in this color), the look completes itself… and my seasonal kick off!

In RL, I went to a midnight madness shopping with my family after thanksgiving dinner. The mall was packed and the lines are SOOOO LONG. I didn’t shop for clothes that much considering how I was tired from cooking dinner and I haven’t really seen anything that jumped my attention. However, I do wish I could have shopped for more make- up I’m a make- up addict in RL and I love it. I went to bed around 4 am and woke up around 4 pm today. I hate waking up late in the afternoon and I didn’t even get a chance to see the sunlight outside ;’(

Like in RL, SL has been VERY busy. I’ve been kicked out from two sims for 3x and it was sooo laggy! Today’s Black Friday and 50L Friday have brought a shopping madness in SL..

Did you see the list of kick-ass stores? I did. I went to all of them too, after an early night and a sleep that was so long, I almost forgot what day it was. I spent $200L, but not because there weren’t a lot of options. There’s something for everyone. From reindeers to mistletoe to dresses-n-shiz. I’m pretty sure, though, that if you’re reading this, you’ve either:

• stayed up until midnight to get your 50L run out of the way.
• have logged in already and are loading the note card to hop to the stores you want to go to.
• checked the feeds for picture snapshots of everything, and then pick and choose where you want to go, so you miss out on nothing.
• bypassed today for later, because bitch, RL discounts > all else.

I wish we had Black Friday, ho-hum.

Another one of those moments when you’ve blogged not so long ago but you really feel like doing it again, and you do.  I change too much, more than I should. I’m pretty sure if you bump into me in world I’m prolly changing or going through my invo or thinking ‘these shoes’ seriously don’t match this jacket or my mood doesn’t..especially in public, I usually don’t care where I am and I lose track of time and..shame. Lol. (btw, little daring mixing these boots with such short dress AND garters, but it DOESN’T LOOK CHEAP OK?…*insert ironic moment here* I’m a graduated artist so I can be weird looking). The days getting darker and shorter..time to bring some color in that season, with the great Filigree in pink from Nyte’N'Day.

A very hot lingerie for nice hours in front of the fireplace at your home. The fire is crackling, you and your love laying on the fur in front of the fire place. Champagne sparkles in the glasses beside and you loll beside your sweetheart and cuddle against him in that great pink adorable lingerie.

The set contains a corsage and stockings. The corsage has a very nice detailes texture. Many seams break the plain pink texture. One black lace line breaks the pink right under the chest. The same lace you can find at the chest seam and on the bottom of the corsage. And the best is, it is reperated for the stockings too. A great balck lace seam ends the nylons on the upper leg. <3 Vintage & Ras!

The days are getting colder
And there’s a chill about the air,
But while others are singing carols
There’s still lots of fall to share!

I love the snowy season, don’t get me wrong- I’m a winter baby in SL and RL. But this bum-rush into Christmas when Thanksgiving is barely two weeks away is far from the original intent of the holiday. In my own, personal stand against this expressiveness, I’ve embraced the colors and themes of the time to create a unique set of autumn attire.

The crisp months of September, October and November capitalize on the phoenix concept, signifying the end of nature’s growth and the beginning of its slumber with a burst of brilliant, fiery color. The first garment I plucked out of my wardrobe was fresh from a recent 50L Friday, the Petal Dress Cocoon in Spice from (epoque).  The pumpkin hue compliments the whimsy shape of the prim frock perfectly, creating an outfit focus that invites further unique accessories.  I chose to wrap my bare shoulders and arms in a casual sweater-shrug while dressing my legs in vibrant stockings and round-toe, almost-chunky heels. To top it off, I donned a medium-short, slightly-messy mane and a floral hair piece to add that final free-spirited touch.

The wind has been whipping through the trees in my area, causing the leaves to dance in swirls across the red bricks of campus; I’ve witnessed a variety of these performances, ranging in soft, little duos to powerful, practically violent waltzes. With this dynamic force all around me, showcasing {Zaara}’s Vayu gown was an absolute must. The streams of dust and leaves move with a magical air, catching environmental exhales and rustling movements that other flexi prims may easily pass over. This dress also features two off the subtler tones of autumn, soft brown and light green – a delicate contrast between nature’s life and death. For this ensemble, I avoided wearing any other clothing items so as not to distract from the main piece; lightly-rusted blooms for jewelry, simple green mule-wedge, and a hairstyle caught in the wind accented the strength and grace just right.

Red. Gorgeous, lush, juicy, flaming red. Crimson, burgundy, ruby, cherry, garnet, rose red. Why all the emphasis? Not only does this bold color command attention, I would bring shame to my state- fall is the harvest season, and we are proudly known for our delicious red apples. To meet this demand, I selected another work from the Swansong collection, the Candace Aflame gown by *Laughing Academy*. As in my previous feature, I stress that this frock can multi-task, and I’ve put it to work by removing the center prim to transform it into a retro, flared body-suit. Personally, this is my favorite way to wear this item, for it simultaneously emanates beauty and might. An fierce, geisha-inspired skin was a great canvas for this outfit, and I accessorized with a messy up-do lined with open-buds, and large, earthy jewelry pieces.

Last – but far from any means least – there is a tribute to light. As the sun dwindles and the nights grow longer, the golden rays that do make it to earth become more and more precious. Where once the sky was filled with gold, it now lies on the earth till the wind and rain sweep it away. It is this time when many herds come together for warmth, safety, and the chance at procuring the next generation. For my closing, I completely embodied this, morphing my avatar into a deer-satyr and wrapped my fur in the treasure of “Inanna” by Tekeli-li. The color- and texture-change prim bikini, silk bottom, and complete jewelry set all come separately, but I found it all well worth the price. With the legs, ears and tail in place, I crowned it all with a simple, sun-spun up-do and a rack of golden horns.

So as the shopping malls are blasting “Winter Wonderland” across the racks of sweaters, and Tully’s is hanging red stockings upon its counters, take some time to enjoy what we have now. The season of lights will be here soon enough, and those classic treats will be that much sweeter – that much more meaningful – if we take a moment to draw in the lingering moments of fall around us now.
