BEIJING, Dec 21, 2009 (AFP) – French aerospace and defence industries group Safran on Monday will sign a five-billion-dollar contract to provide engines for China’s first large passenger jet, chief executive Jean-Paul Herteman said.

The C919 — built by state-linked Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) and due to be ready for service in about 2016, according to state media — is seen as a future competitor to the Airbus A320 and the Boeing 737.

“This is a significant contract — the launch of a new aircraft only happens once every 10 or 15 years,” Herteman told reporters.

The contract was due to be signed later Monday during an official visit to China by French Prime Minister Francois Fillon.

The C919 — which would have a maximum of 190 seats — will be equipped with Leap X engines, the latest developed by Safran in concert with its joint venture partner, US conglomerate General Electric.

The French group and the US giant, which operate as CFM International, have been partners since 1974, and count Airbus and Boeing among their clients.

The joint venture will also provide nacelles — the covers housing the engines — for the C919

Herteman said the value of the contract over 30 years could total 15 billion dollars. The deal would create 8,000-10,000 direct jobs in France, and three to four times that number for various subcontractors.

The partners are looking into the viability of establishing an assembly line facility in China, he said.

“The Chinese market will represent 20 percent of the global aviation market in the next 20 years,” Herteman said.

COMAC was set up last year, tasked with developing a large aircraft that could compete with planes produced by industry leaders Airbus and Boeing, thus making China a player on the global stage.

Chinese media reports have estimated that the country’s airlines will need a total of 1,600 new passenger jets by 2020 and 3,000 by 2050.

COMAC already markets the ARJ21, China’s first 90-seat regional jet.

Setelah anda mengikuti dan memahami pada part-1 pengenalan singkat PDMS dan kini anda coba login dengan PROJECT SAM username SAMPLE password SAMPLE seperti yg pernah dibahas pada part-1

Pada part-3 ini kita akan mencoba mempelajari :

• Menampilkan objec ke display utama / main windows
• Sedikit command line
• pengenalan icon2

Perhatikan pada window member ,Arahkan panah mouse anda ke STABILIZER , kliklah bagian kiri mouse anda pada bagian tsb. (klik dengan mouse kiri pada tulisan STABILIZER)

Setelah langkah di atas maka tampilan windows sekarang akan terlihat seperti gambar dibawah ini , perhatikan dibawah SITE /STABILIZER akan terdapat beberapa ZONE contoh di sini adalah ZONE /EQUIP /PIPES /BUILDING /STEEL /RACKPIPES dan seterusnya ,

Selanjutnya coba anda klik dengan tombol mouse kiri anda pada tulisan ZONE – EQUIP , kini windows member akan tampak seperti gambar di bawah ini:

Kita akan coba menampilkan ZONE EQUIP ini ke main windows , ada beberapa cara , dengan commnad line atau dengan menu GUI , kita akan coba dengan menu GUI , perhatiakan pada submenu bar di windows membar terdapat Control Goto dan Drawlist, anda klik Drawlist>Add CE with Colour

Selanjutnya akan di tamilkan windows Add curent element denga berbagai warna

Perhatikan tampilan layar utama ,Jika tampilan belum ada atau kurang sempurna kliklah icon seperti gambar disamping ini (walk to drawlist)

Kini tampilan screen anda seperti gambar dibawah ini , ini adalah tampilan default dari pdms pertama kali dan anda dapat merubah tampilan /sudut pandang anda untuk keperluan pekerjaan anda.
Tampilan default anda adalah pandangan atau orientasi melihat dari atas ke bawah

Sebelum melangkah kebagian berikutnya mengenai pengaturan arah tampilan ,anda diharapkah mengerti arah mata angin.

Ketika anda sedang melihat kearah NORT didepan/muka anda maka dibelakang anda adalah SOUTH, begitu juga sebaliknya ketika anda sedang melihat didepan anda SOUTH otomatis dibelakang anda adalah NORTH.
Ketika dihadapan anda adalah NORTH maka disebelah KIRI anda adalah WEST dan sebelah kanan adalah EAST
Dan ketika dihadapan kita SOUTH maka disebelah kiri anda adalah EAST dan disebelah kanan anda adalah WEST.
Sedangkan diatas kita adalah UP , dan dibawah kita adalah DOWN.

Bahasan diatas harus dipahami dan dimengerti benar2 .Prinsip dasar dari pada dasar 3D adalah adanya 3 vektor yaitu PANJANG, LEBAR dan TINGGI yang dapat diwakili oleh X , Y , Z

PDMS memiliki aturan sbb:
X : mewakili EAST
Y : mewakili NORTH
Z : mewakili UP
-X:mewakili WEST
-Y:mewakili SOUTH
-Z:mewakili DOWN

Kini tekanlah F9 dan perhatikan pada window 3D view bagian bawah akan ditampilkan arah ata angin Atau Orientation

Pada gambar dibawah ini anda sedang melihat / mengamati object 3D , anda sedang mengamati area dari atas ke bawah (looking down) anda perhatikan diatas N terdapat tanda panah yg menandakan kearah mana anda sedang melihat.

Sakarang mari kita coba bagaimana tombol tanda panah tersebut dapat membantu kita dalam menentukan arah tampilan, arahkan pointer mouse anda ke tombol tanda panah , setelah itu tekan tombol kiri mouse (tombol jangan delepas) dan geserlah mouse anda kearah kanan anda untuk menempatakan tombol tanda panah tersebut ke atas E , dan coba anda geser lagi ke arah S dan W,

Sekarang kita coba lihat kembali kearah NORTH , dan arahkan ponter mouse anda ke samping dan coba pindah kan tombol panah ke posisi 0 , selanjutnya tampilan akan terlihat seperti gambar dibawah ini, berguna untuk merubah tampilan atas dan bawah.

Selain key F9 masih ada beberapa lagi akan kita pelajari

Pada proses pegamatan Object 3D , kita akan perlu :

ROTASI DISPLAY (F5)
ZOOM (F2)
PAN (F3)
MODEL WIRELINE (F8)

ROTASI DISPLAY (F5) :

1.Aktifkan rotasi denganmenekan key F5
2.Arahkan pointer mouse anda ketengah layar utama
3.Tekan dan tahan tombol tengah mouse anda. Kemudian gerakanlah mouse anda kekiri atau ke kanan untuk memutar tampilan display.
4.lepaskan tombol tengah mouse anda dan tekan dan tahan lagi dan gerakan mouse anda kearah atas dan bawah.

Catatan: Ketika anda sedang memutar kearah kiri dan kanan anda tidak dapat memutar kearah atas dan bawah , maka yang harus anda lakukan adalah melepaskan dahulu tombol tengah mouse dan tekan kembali sambil menahan Tombol mouse anda untuk dapat memutar keatas dan kebawah

Selain F5 anda dapat mengaktifkan dengan bantuan icon yang telah disediakan , icon tersebut terletak pada bagian kiri display anda seperti di tunjukan pada gambar berikut :

ZOOM (F2)
1.Aktifkan ZOOM dengan menekan key F2
2.Arahkan pointer mouse anda ketengah layar utama
3.Putarlah scroll tambol tengah mouse ,perputaran kearah depan akan membuat tampilan layar membesar,sebaliknya diputar kearah belakang akan membuat layar tampilan mengecil, ketika pdms 11.4 dahulu belum ada mouse dengan scroll , hanya ada tiga tombol kiri tengah dan kanan , nah jika mouse anda tidak terdapat scrool (atau mungkin scrool nya rusak) anda dapat menekan tombol tengah mouse atau scrolnya tahan janga dilepas dan geser geselah mouse anda maka zoom akan berjalan.

Anda juga dapat memanfaatkan bantuan icon untuk dapat melakukan ZOOM pada tampilan , terdapat dua icon zoom yaitu zoom rectangle dan zoom in/out.
Zoom in/out hampir sama penggunaannya seperti zoom yang di lakukan dengan menekan key F2 , untuk zoom ractangel sama penggunaannya seperti pada AUTOCAD yaitu denga klik mouse kiri dan drag area yg akan di zoom

PAN (F3)

1.Aktifkan Pan dengan menekan key F3
2. Tekan dan tahan tombol tengah mouse anda. Kemudian gerakanlah mouse anda kekiri atau ke kanan atau keatas kebawah untuk menggeser tampilan display.
3.Atau dengan cara bantuan icon

Wireline(F8)

Kadang kala kita memerlukan bantuan untuk melihat titik origin pada suatu objek 3D , atau pengukuran dimensi maka kita perlu mengubah object solid menjadi wireline

Pada tampilan terakhir tekanlah key F8 untuk merubah ke tampilan wireline , dan untuk merubah kembali ketampilan solid tekanlah F8 sekali lagi

Utility lainnya untuk proses pengaturan tampilan display :
