One of the nicest couple with bunches of great friends. Can’t wait to share all the photos taken for this lovely couple. Unfortunately not able to do so, therefore here are some of my favourites.

Having picked up everything purely based on trial and error, and occasional workshop from top notch photographers and sharing with fellow photographer friends. I am happy to found myself grew a little since then.

i like this because its my first time taking pre-wedding photo. Special thanks to my good friends Wenyao and Zhengyi for placing their trust on someone who simply like to take photo back then.

Here’s a sneak peep, a different trend?

When i started, every photos were batch processed and photos were delivered at a much faster rate. I’d come to realize that the more attention i paid on every single photo, the more flaws I see in myself and the more i’ll try to avoid this flaws. I have to admit that post processing has become a slow and tedious process as i painstakingly work on every single photos. Through this process, I admit I have learnt the most.

Shall list what went wrong that day:

1. Out of good will, i decided to help my friend to collect his DVDs. Weather is looking good when i leave my house, 5 minutes later, it start pouring with omindirection winds. I was denched! DAMM!

2. Hailing cabs never seem to be a problem except that day. No cabs for nearly 30 mins…WTH!

3. decided to walk to overhead bridge for shelter, two car drive by and splashed water over me….F***

4. Finally get myself cab, when to destination point. Trying to ask for personnel to collect the dvds, was shouted by this Bangladesh instead “HEY, I SPEAK U NO KNOW ME, U NO KNOW WHAT I SPEAK AH!” What the hell i can’t even make up what he is trying to tell me.

5. Got my DVDs went back to cab. Spend another almost $15 for a $4 cab fare on normal days.

6. On the way to my friends house, lift faulty…..WTH again 9 storey. Climb stairs lo

7. Collect my item from my friend only to realise there is another lift around the corners…..

8. Hail a cab ” Fort Canning hill pls…”, driver answer “where is fort canning?” WTH

9. Was struck in traffic jam due to Chingay, cab fare $30.00….. from bedok to fort canning cost that much….

10. (I cant remember what else….there is one more)

Ramble too much….ok time for photos…

Made a short slideshow for their solemnisation. Looking forward to see them again for their actual wedding day this coming saturday!

BTW, i shot this with my new 5D2 last november, doesn’t it look sharper than my 5D1…

I pretty much like this setup that time until my 5D1 shutter give way and died on me. This entry marks the end of my 5D1, the 5D1 that i am using now is called 5D1, RELOADED.….hahaa

Here’s one from a recent wedding on valentine’s day. Gerard was my university coursemate whom i can’t remember due to my  frequent absentee from classes back then (that’s why now i can only be a poor photographer while he become a captain in the armed force).

These are the photos that i had shot for the during last 3 months. Photos that i liked but hope that i had done something more to make it better.

A recently edited photo. A photo that i wish that there are something more to it?

The bride and groom are rushing for their second march-in and they have only given me 3 minutes for this shoot. How i wish that i have more time. Maybe for a kissing shoot or a veil flying white gown?

Shoot this with a 70-200. Guess that i have shot it way too tight. I have been thinking that giving the boy more space over his head could probably make it a better picture?

Shot this with a 50mm in a HDB flat. I knew i had posted this earlier on. I wished i had a shot it with my 24-70 or wider lens. It could be a better photo if the fingers of the bride hands are shown.

Have to say that this is a “lucky” shot. I supposed it could be better if i had frame the little boy more to the centre of the photo.

Been experimenting with texture and colours. I like this photo for the simplicity but i hope i have done more to make it less plain.

Shot this in a recent wedding. Love the spotlight and expressions. However i think it could be a better photo if i have focused it on the bride face. It was slightly mis-focused….

I could have done more to make it more symmetrical.

Shifting a little more to the right could have make this a better photo. I think. How I wish i had moved that time.

I was in a dilemma whether to focus on the manager or wine glass in that spilt second. I’m glad that i’ve made the choice on the wine glass…..Or maybe pushing it to a higher f-stop could have solved my problem?

3 bridesmaid with 3 different postures holding 3 different things.

I still remember that I was using my 17-40L wide open with shutter speed 1/80. I wish that i had increased my shutter speed one stop higher. It probably would have freeze the motion of the bridesmaid in the centre so that the corsage on her wrist would be more clearly shown.

Can’t seem to do anything right if i had not blog for the past 3 days..

Pink shirts brother, with pink lips giving pink kisses was all that i could remember. A little “traumatizing” for those who were at the gatecrash.

I have been reducing the number of weddings this months just to clear as many backlogs as possible so that my dearest couples are able to share their wedding photos with their friends and relatives during the forever enjoyful Chinese New Year that is approaching in a few weeks time.
