Rhythm Nation day’s, I love it.

As you know Janet will be opening the American Music Awards this year with an 8-minute medley so I felt this was an appropriate post to appreciate before the show on sunday.

On my typical Monday escapade to an unknown city or location, I chose to venture into Sewickely - a town I have become familiar with due to it’s beautiful shops, various restaurants, and delicious coffee.  After an afternoon of studying, with the crisp fall air on my breath, I began the trek home.  As I walked to my car, I was reminded of all my blessings in one swift moment.  The compilation of all this joy overflowed from my heart, causing me to smile ear-to-ear.  Looking back, I can only imagine what the people I passed must have thought… but it didn’t even matter, because I was so overjoyed.  This joy has continued to penetrate my heart even now, more than 24 hours later.

Whenever I feel extreme emotions, whether joy or sorrow, I feel the urge to call a family member or friend back in the midwest. Ironically, it is in these moment that no one answers their phone.  So, there I was yesterday, leaving messages with those I loved, reminding them of how blessed I am to have them in my life.  I have to think that in these moments, there is a reason that they don’t answer.  It’s as if God is saying, “Christy, talk to me.  I want to hear your joy and your pain.  I am here for you, just share these moments with me.  Yes, I know that you can hear a voice or an immediate response from your family if they answer, but I am the only one who is available, day and night.  Christy, I love you, just speak to me.”  Once I hang up, of course, I turn to God and talk with Him… but I can’t help but wonder if I have this backwards… Perhaps, He wants me to talk with Him first. 

God is good – I don’t think I say that enough – God is good.

I’m just doing interviews with the bands that performed
I’ve nterviewed electrico and just finished great spy too.

Electrico seems nice throuout the interview, butthy had mellowed after
their gig. Haha, mustve taken alot of their stamina performig

and great spy is way cool. Their perfrmance is of course, first
class…just to expect from one of the best local bands in sgp.

But comparng me to Shaun, he is dong he better stuff, videoing on stage. Bleh

crap, west grand is playing now, and the crowd is runnig to the
front!!! Imma join them!

I need a new adventure. Or at very least something new to look forward to.

People are not being honest with me lately. I can feel it, and when I sense something is off, I’m normally right.

Hence the talk of a remarkable and exciting experience. I need a focus point. Ever since April I have had something new to look forward to every month. Sky diving, concerts, family visits, etc. November, so far, has nothing.

Here are my ideas: hang gliding, pole dancing lessons, change my route to work on my bike, learn some sort of boarding (skate-, wake-, snow-, surf-), mountain climbing, complete a century ride.

Ugh, I’m boring.

I also need to start volunteering again. I’m thinking the one at Union Station in Pasadena for Thanksgiving. I think that is a good place to start (especially since Black Friday doesn’t allow me a day off).

And I hope I’m not being misunderstood. I love my life just as it is. I guess I’m just not used to this slow pace. Previously I never had time to think about anything but school and work. Adventure time? You betcha!

This weekend saw Jack move home. It consisted of a two-try trip to Ikea, the first was foiled by anti war protest marches and failing public transport meaning the majority of the tubes were down. Luckily, the second trip consisted of Em being a life saver  and deciding that instead of meeting up for a Pilates class and then lunch she would drive me to Ikea and have meatballs (thank you Em xx).  This thankfully meant that at 5.45 this evening our furniture got to the office. It was a long Sunday.

So we find ourselves at 73 Parkway a space that in the coming months will hold a whole host of events, thanks to the lovely people at Camden Town Unlimited who are doing their damndest to add an injection of buzz into Camden Town – not that it’s not got any currently but there’s never any harm in a bit more! We will be working at this lovely little office until just after Christmas, watching several events pass us and putting on a few of our own.

The first of these events is Reentry, a show by artists Sol Archer and Sarah McNulty who we met last night and are looking forward to sharing the space with for the first week!

The rest of today I am sure Laura will report as we tackle flat pack furniture and pop down to our favorite fancy dress shop Escapade to grab an outfit for the Opal Nera Ball tomorrow.

Soon we will have lovely news of things we will be doing in the space below us and we look forward to seeing all your lovely faces over North!

Alors que je me morfondais au boulot derrière mon ordi, en pensant à mes collègues encore en train de se faire griller la couenne je ne sais où, je ne pouvais que sombrer d’avantage dans ce blues qui m’envahissait doucement lorsque mon homme de l’ombre et de la lumière daignait remonter à la surface quelque part au milieu de la Grande Bleue pour me donner quelques nouvelles locales “temps magnifique, eau claire, chaleur et chant des cigales, tout va bien, je nage dans le bonheur !” me disait-il.

La seule façon pour moi de garder le fil d’Ariane c’était de cliquer au petit bonheur la chance sur tout ce qui pouvait bien se reporter à ce joli nom “la Côte Bleue” dont j’ignorais totalement l’existence avant cette escale tout comme celle du train de la Côte Bleue qui longe le littoral, reliant Marseille à Miramas et qui devait mener mon homme, cette dernière semaine d’août, vers sont ultime défi de plongeur : passer le Dive Master avec le centre Aqua-Evasion de Carry-le-Rouet.

A entendre ses commentaires émerveillés en parcourant les derniers kilomètres qui devaient le mener depuis Marseille vers Carry-le-Rouet, il fallait bien que je me mette dans le bain… virtuellement … et j’ai trouvé de bien jolies photos sur le net, de quoi étancher ma soif de découvrir. Car bien évidemment, cette semaine d’entraînement intensif ne lui a guère laissé le temps de me faire une série de cartes postales maison, quoique…

Mais c’est encore une fois sur les fonds marins qu’il s’est offert quelques instants de récréation entre ses épreuves physiques et théoriques jusqu’à 22h certains soirs, et les passages de baptêmes à tour de bras…

…Et là, quand il m’a ramené ses photos et confirmé son passage au niveau Dive Master, je me suis dit “il est trop fort !”

A titre officieux je te décerne… la palme… d’or !… ouaih, bon je sais, elle était facile celle-là !

Enfin tout ça pour dire que je ne suis pas peu fière de mon “blue boy” puisque sans lui je n’aurais peut-être jamais osé voyager au-delà des océans et ce blog n’aurait jamais existé !…
