Greg’s podccats at Occult of Personality are a must-listen if you want to rekindle your studies of Aleister Crowley, Madame Blavatsky and other occult figures of the early 20th century.

In his latest piece, Greg talks with ufologist and occultist T Allen Greenfield, who claims to have discovered a secret code that ties together ufology and occultism (see book cover, left).

The code “is definitely a cypher that is decipherable and comprehendible,” Greenfield tells Greg in the interview.

On another note: I’ve been experiencing the most interesting startling synchronicities in my life after listening to Greg’s chats with Todd Campbell at Through the Looking Glass, and Synchronos23.

I will eat my hat if–after listening to the podcasts–you don’t start experiencing some synchronicities, too. (I don’t know why, it just happens.)

Paul has a plan for you. It may require “a vast array of policies and regulations,” and heavy taxes, he says.

One of the backers of smart growth plans for major cities envisions a global “Great Transition” of humans into concentrated population centers. Paul D. Raskin, director of the Boston-based Tellus Institute (Note: Tellus is now blocking access to its site, but much of the same material is here), expects people to resist the Great Transition. That’s why intergovernmental organizations and transnational corporations must create a marketing campaign “to inspire people [and] to seize the public imagination,” Raskin says in a Tellus video.

The problem of a push-back from a reluctant populace was echoed by Rappaport Institute Director and Harvard economist Ed Glaeser, in a Boston Globe article this week (see excerpt and link, below).

Both Raskin and Glaeser contributed to what is now called MetroFuture, a smart growth initiative for Greater Boston that will “shift growth from remote new suburbs to existing town centers,” according to the Globe.

A large group of financiers and institutes, the Kraft family, and the real estate tycoon Dick DeWolfe are also members of the MetroFuture initiative.

Similar smart growth plans are underway in Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore, as well as in Utah, Central Florida, and the Midwest. All of the plans are directly linked to the United Nations plan to create “habitat areas” in which human consumption and labor can be more easily controlled.

Alan Watt has recently been discussing the U.N.’s “Agenda 21“–which outlines the plan for human habitats, at Cutting Through the Matrix and Red Ice Creations Radio. You will not read about Agenda 21 in any mainstream article about “smart growth”–for that I recommend listening to Alan’s blurbs at Cutting Through the Matrix, and his interviews at Red Ice.

Psst: It’s the Rosy Cross

The secret behind the film “The Secret,” a cheesy round-up of C-list motivational speakers, is Rosicrucianism, according to a recent commentary by Terry Melanson at Conspiracy Archive. The speakers in the film include one chiropractor, one-or-two New Age religious figures, and several self-described scientists. All make non-scientific connections between physics and psychic powers.

They insist that by thinking “I will be a millionaire,” you can become one.

Terry draws a tight, detailed timeline of movements from “The Secret” (i.e., “the power of attraction”) back to positive thinking movements in the mid-20th century, even the mid-18th century. He also notes the subliminal use of the word, “Rosicrucian” (see still image, above), throughout the film.

“The Secret” is nothing new. But its production values should be high enough to bring a fresh batch of suckers into “the movement.”

On Beethoven, they say: “In his personal life Beethoven was known to support the views of Pantheism, which included the idea of natural law and the universe being equivalent to, and inseparable from God. He is also considered to have been a member of the Rosicrucians, a legendary and secret order that espoused many of the ideas of The Secret.” (emphasis mine) There you have it; Rosicrucianism is linked to the teachings espoused in The Secret.

The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is widely known to be an anti-Semitic fraud. So why are esoteric researchers and conspiracists still talking about the document as if it is authentic?

Mists and winds mark Greg’s worldview

Occult of Personality (link and excerpt, below, and thanks to Red Ice), notes the recent and rapid rise of eso-research websites. Eso-researchers search for answers to our earthly problems through mysticism, occultism and the study of stargates and secret societies.

I agree with webmaster Greg that many people knock eso-researchers for their willingness to discuss topics outside the mainstream. “Conspiracy theorist” is one label that rankles Alan Watt, for example.

Greg describes his own, personal (and, I imagine, typical) experiences and motivations for pursuing eso-research, in this fairly purple passage: “The mists of illusion and deceit were thick enough to obscure the reasons for my wandering. The winds of wisdom blew away the mists and cleared my vision to allow me to understand much better what was going on around and within me.”

I include myself in these ranks as Occult of Personality 1.0 went live in October of 2006. Many people use derogatory labels in an attempt to sideline, minimize, and relegate our ideas to a dustbin, easily emptied when it gets too full. Whether the subject is geo-political intrigue, banking and economics, social planning, world history, entertainment, celebrities and pop culture, or religion and spirituality, the ancient Mystery schools and their ideas have had some (or a lot) of influence, in some way or another, on all of them. The analysis being presented via the internet is not only timely, but I believe it to be crucial to accurately understanding who we are and where we are going.
