When I was approached about doing this song, I was definitely excited by the opportunity, and then something kinda odd happened. I went to LA to work with my Producer Woody who recently moved back to Cali, and ended up staying in a newly renovated loft building in Downtown Los Angeles very much like The Dante. I started to feel like I was already in the show, being that I was staying in a building that was kinda odd itself and so I wrote the song as if I was just another resident in The Dante. As I watched the episodes and got into the storyline, it made it easier and easier to imagine myself as a part of the show. I thought to myself “I really want to be a part of this” and I’m glad that the song has been as well received as it has so far. New Years Eve isn’t that far away…let’s see if they decide to invite me to New Years Eve at The Dante…

Que a publicidade é invasiva (e, na web, muito mais do que em qualquer outra mídia), a gente já sabia.

O que dizer quando anunciantes se apropriam de conteúdo jornalístico (ou do nome de um jornalista) para promover sua marca?

Aconteceu com Juca Kfouri nesta semana (como mostra a imagem acima).

Surpreendido pelo golpe baixo, Juca conseguiu que o UOL retirasse o banner da página e promete tomar medidas legais contra a Esso, que avançou todos os sinais possíveis.

A empresa criou, com o sugestivo nome de “Posto de Posts“, uma espécie de fábrica de textos para blogueiros-jabazeiros e sem criatividade ou palavras que, em troca da exibição da marca em suas páginas, recebem “inspirações” para novos posts.

O desastrado banner de divulgação da promoção dizia que, apesar não de serem ácidos, perspicazes e inteligentes como Juca Kfouri, as pessoas poderiam ter um blog “tão bom quanto o dele” simplesmente acessando a tal fábrica de posts.

Uma bobagem sem tamanho.

Uma ideia pífia merecia uma estratégia pífia de divulgação. E terminar nos tribunais por se apropriar do que não devia.

KEDAULATAN DAN GLOBALISASI

Budaya kapitalis ini telah mencakupi semua aspek kehidupan manusia. Manusia moden kurun ke 21 telah dilalaikan untuk menjadi binatang konsumer yang mengguna dan mengumpulkan pelbagai ‘biji-biji saga’ dan barangan kodi untuk mainan. Manusia moden telah menjadi seperti Toyol yang asyik bermain dengan biji-biji saga hingga terlupa bahawa tujuan hidup ini adalah untuk mengenal diri sendiri dan melakukan kebaikan.

Sistem kapitalis telah membawa satu budaya dimana ianya mengasak, meraba dan merangsang sifat jahat dalam diri manusia. Hukum induk ekonomi kapitalis – keuntungan maksima – telah melupuskan nilai baik yang sedia wujud dalam diri manusia.

Justeru apakah kita hairan apabila kita terbaca dalam akhbar bagaimana pembekal susu tepong di Tanah Besar China telah membubuh malamin dalam tepong untuk dijual sebagai susu. Mereka menjual susu ini bukan kepada orang Sweden tetapi kepada bayi-bayi China sanak saudara mereka sendiri.

Justeru apakah kita hairan apabila kita membaca berita di Sepanyol dan Portugal ada pembekal minyak zaiton telah membubuh minyak hitam yang sudah terpakai untuk dijual sebagai campuran minyak zaiton.

Justeru apakah kita hairan apabila membaca bagaimana kontrektor Bumiputera yang bersunat dan selalu naik umrah telah membuat bangunan sekolah, bilik makmal dan hospital dengan menggunakan barangan tidak berkualiti dan akhirnya bangunan-bangunan ini runtuh rantah.

Semua ini dilakukan kerana mereka hidup mengikut hukum dan budaya kapitalisma. Keuntungan maksima adalah tuhan baru yang sedang disembah. Selama 30 tahun kebelakangan ini tuhan baru ini telah muncul dimerata pelusuk dunia. Tuhan ini akan berada dimana sahaja wujudnya sistem ekonomi kapitalis termasuk di Malaysia.

Tiga puluh tahun dahulu – air, api, jalan raya, hospital, bank, sekolah, universiti, talipon, radio, tv – semua ini adalah milik kita bersama. Semua ini adalah hak milik negara bermakna hak milik orang ramai. Tiba-tiba harta orang ramai ini diswastakan.

Siapa sebenarnya yang menelorkan dan mencadangkan dasar penswastaan ini. Dasar ini dimunculkan oleh pemikir kabal-kabal Illuminati. Para pemikir dari pelbagai ‘think tank’ ini yang telah mengajukan agenda penswastaan kepada Bank Dunia dan IMF sebagai satu usaha untuk apa yang mereka panggil – cara untuk memperbaiki dan mengembangkan ekonomi di negara-negara sedang membangun.

IMF dan Bank Dunia menjadikan penswastaan ini sebagai dasar untuk diterima pakai. Negara Dunia Ketiga yang miskin jika ingin meminjam dana dari bank-bank antarabangsa diwajibkan menjalankan dasar penswastaan. Penswataan bermakna menjualkan harta hak milik orang ramai kepada kaum kapitalis antrabangsa.

Di belakang dasar penswastaan ini ialah para banker dari kabal Illuminati. Para banker yang telah mengumpulkan berbilion kertas dolar memerlukan pasarana pelaboran baru. Hukum ekonomi kapitalis mewajibkan kaum pemodal terus mencari pasaran baru. Di Eropah Barat pasaran telah tepu. Maka kabal Illuminati telah mengarahkan Bank Dunia dan IMF memaksa dibuka seluas mungkin pasaran di negara Dunia Ketiga. Hasilnya kita melihat harta negara kita –air, talipon, tv, jalan raya, hospital, bangunan, bank – semuanya bertukar tangan.

Apabila Perang Dingin tamat lihat apa yang telah terjadi kepada Russia dan Eropah Timur. Negara-negara ini sedang mengamalkan sistem ekonomi sosialis telah diasak dan di serang. Russia telah dipecah-pecahkan. Perang telah dicetuskan di Bosnia, di Kosovo, di Montenegro dan di Chechen – semua ini adalah perancangan licik untuk memaksa harta rakyat di Eropah Timur di jual kepada kaum pemodal antarabangsa.

Sesudah dasar penswastaan di terima pakai – kita mula terdengar apa yang dikatakan – Dunia Tanpa Sempadan. Dunia tanpa sempadan ini ialah agenda Illiminati untuk melupuskan kedaulatan negara. Dunia tanpa sempadan bukan bererti orang Afrika boleh senang-senang masuk ke Eropah. Dunia tanpa sempadan bukan bererti buruh rakyat Pakistan boleh masuk ke Jepun untuk mencari kerja.

Tanpa sempadan hanyalah untuk duit modal masuk ke mana sahaja untuk mencari untung. Modal antarabangsa ini tidak boleh diganggu gugat ketika modal ini sedang mencari keuntungan maksima dimana sahaja dalam dunia ini. Dunia tanpa sempadan ialah untuk para pelaboran antarbangsa bermain ‘tikam dan berjudi’ di pasaran saham negara-negara Dunia Ketiga. Lihat apa yang berlaku di Asia Tenggara pada tahun 1997 dahulu. Lihat bagaimana kaum kapitalis antarabangsa telah menerbus masuk dan menekan negara-negara Asia Tenggara dan akhirnya banyak hospital kita terjual, talipon kita terjual, sistem pendidikan kita terjual.

Lihat Tesco, Carrefour, Giant, Court Mamoth, AIA, ING, Ikea, Burger King, MacDogal, Shell, Esso – semua ini adalah milik pemodal antarabangsa. Semua ini dipaksakan ke atas pasaran kita melalui perjanjian World Trade Organisation (WTO). WTO memaksa negara Dunia Ketiga membuka pasaran untuk pemodal antarabangsa masuk mencari untung.

Perjanjian WTO ini adalah perjanjian terbuka yang berat sebelah – sama seperti perjanjian-perjanjian East India Company yang telah dibuat oleh Sultan Johor dengan Raffles pada tahun 1819 dahulu. Sama seperti perjanjian Sultan Kedah dengan Francis Light pada tahun 1786. Sama seperti Perjanjian Pangkor 1874 yang akhirnya Tanah Melayu jatuh ke tangan British.

Dari zaman penjajah dahulu cita-cita kaum pemodal kapitalis ini untuk memiliki dunia ini tidak pernah padam-padam. Cita-cita kaum pemodal antarabangsa ini untuk menjadikan umat manusia sebagai hamba adalah manifesto New World Order. Kabal-kabal Illuminati saban hari merancang. Hari ini semua strateji telah di rancang. Semua telah di susun. Para banker di belakang Iluminati sedang dalam persediaan akhir untuk melahirkan apa yang mereka katakan – New World Order atau Dunia Bentuk Baru.

Eropah sedang bersatu – ini akan menjerut masuk Afrika dan Timur Tengah. Asia akan dikepali oleh Jepun yang akan menjerut semua negara di Asia.

Lihat sekarang telah wujud Asean dan Apec untuk Asia , African Union untuk Afrika dan Union of South American Nations untuk Amerika Latin. Semua ini adalah perancangan Illuminati. Semua ini direstui oleh kaum pemodal antarabangsa. Rancangan akhir mereka ialah untuk memastikan semua rakyat dunia ini akan tunduk kepada kuasa mereka.

Dalam masa yang tidak lama lagi manusia akan di cap dengan microchip. Tak percaya? Bukankah idea ini telah terkeluar dari mulut seorang pegawai polis Malaysia tiga tahun dahulu dan berita ini telah dilaporkan dalam Utusan Malaysia. Tetapi hakikatnya microchip ini ialah untuk mengawal semua umat manusia agar tunduk kepada sistem ekonomi kapitalis. Umat manusia akan taat bekerja dari jam 9 hingga 5 – bercuti Sabtu Ahad. Jika sopan dan tekun mereka akan dapat gaji untuk membeli kondo, ipod, Kancil, kasut Prada, beg Luis Vuitton dan pelbagai jenis ‘biji-biji saga’ yang dijanjikan. Ini bukan satu dongeng konspirasi. Ini bukan plot sebuah novel yang belum siap. Ini adalah hakikat politik dunia hari ini. Memahami politik dunia hari ini amat penting. Jika kita gagal untuk memahami garis dan strateji Illuminati maka kita tidak akan melawan. Jika tidak bangun melawan maka umat manusia dalam dunia ini akan dijadikan hamba abdi. (TT)

Mye endrer seg gjennom tid og det er helt naturlig. Som service på bensinstasjoner og prisene på godteri. Men, mye av det andre burde fortsatt vært en del av Risør. Er det noe du savner i Risør som har forsvunnet gjennom tiden som har gått, så legg igjen en kommentar! Jeg vil gjerne høre hva du savner.

That’s what I want! 2 more years and I’ll get my hands on either an S13 or a 180sx *Crosses fingers*. I’ll start working in December and when I have the cash, I’m gonna own one of these bastards!

It has felt like a long time since we have been anywhere to call home. The knowledge of a looming departure always kept our location in context: temporary. Now, we haven’t gotten pregnant or married yet and the whole point of this endeavor is travel, so the 5 months lined up here aren’t technically permanent, but relative to the nomadic last 5 years, never in one place for more than a semester, this feels close.

I just work up to a knock on the door and cold Chang beer. My new neighbor is great. Yes, living next to Cengiz is even better than living with Cengiz. Now, we have our own rooms, balconies, and bathrooms to escape to for naps or some reading. Yet, by living next to each other we still reap many of the benefits of a room mate- someone always there ready to have a drink, get food, listen to music with, or discuss the shabby state of the Cleveland Browns. It’s a lot like sophomore year of college, living it up in Dematthias Hall at Saint Louis University (without all the other frat dogs roaming the hall of course).Oh, and a couple other discrepencies…

We don’t have a flushing toilet or hot water. Now, there is a toilet, but you manually flush it by pouring copious amounts of water into the bowl. As for shower, it’s just not to be found. But, we do have bathrooms with a central floor drain and cold water spouting hand-held “shower head” (very similar looking to a garden hose). Oddly, those are the only two modern amenities we don’t have: both rooms are equipped with a Balcony, A/C unit, fan, and WiFi internet (though so far, it appears not to work for Cengiz and has a very low connection for me). Each apartment is one big room consisting of an armoir and queen sized bed, capped with an intricate head board full of places to hide things like an iPod or book. The balconies are clearly the highlight, with a view that looks like it could be country side rice patties or Florida Everglades more realistically than a patch of suburban Bangkok (we are in a bit of a gray zone- Bangkok has grown so massive, that we are basically on it’s outskirts, though technically the area isn’t considered Bangkok and we are actually closer to ancient Ayutthuya).

Getting to this paradise was not easy. The trip began at 6:30 pm Friday. After crowding into the back of a pickup truck (aka Taxi) in Chiang Mai, we were driven out to a gas station where we boarded a “V.I.P” bus. Really, this was a 30 year old coach with busted A/C unites and chairs that looked like fire hazards and felt akin to the rock groupings I would lounge in during a camping trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. We procured some very high dosage sleeping pills from our pharmacist, Gina, before leaving, but they did not solve the problem. Instead, we spent the next 12 hours falling in and out of drooling dozes that often left us completely discombobulated or unable to fully use our body. Since mine was the only seat on the bus without an arm rest, my trance like sleeping was often interrupted after falling into the aisle, or getting my head stuck between Cengiz and my seats. Our company was of the highest variety- all European travelers wearing an identical uniform of flip flops, a Sure shirt, and Ospray pack. I feel fortunate that we had to look horrifying (cavernous eyes, foaming mouths, leaking noses) because our fitful sleep was left to its own and we only had to talk a couple times. When we did finally get to Bangkok, we were left off next to what appeared to be the remnants of a car bomb. There was a completely decimated passenger van left on the round about our bus dropped us at. Our cab driver told me it was an accident that left 8 dead, but the burn marks and ash looked like the occupants must have been high level scientists transporting jet fuel.

When we  finally got into Bangkok, it took a while to make it to the apartment. The first step was a 40 min cab drive. We were left off at an Esso gas station, across the street from a University, waiting to be picked up by a liaison. We spent a good hour and a half waiting and snacking on gas station delights before being delivered. Thankfully, our liaison turned out to be the angel promised. After taking up to the apartments to shower, drop off our things, and throw on a collard shirt, we headed down the street to see the campus. We are teaching at a private school and you sure can tell. There are two large gated buildings, 1 for the elementary and middle schoolers, the other a compound of joy complete with swimming pool and blow up, moonbounce, obstacle station for the kindergartners. The desks are all nice and the classrooms are stocked with books and school supplements worthy of Richy Rich’s nursery. There are computer labs full of flat top monitors, a cafeteria, several meeting rooms, a library, and teaching offices. We met the director of the English Program along with the head administrator of the school and also received our weekly schedules.  Looks like they tried to sincerely consider our strengths: my schedule includes 24 classes a week and spans age groups in the Intensive English Program (a schedule that is reminiscent of the variety of ages I taught this summer, though without the respite of H.S and college classes) and Cengiz’s intimidation can go to work on ego bloated middle schoolers looking to cause some trouble during conversational classes, akin to what we planned for the monks. After touring the campus, we had more errands to run.

At about 11:00am, we made it to a Thai Walmart. I think our guide could see how hungry we were, so we started with a Thai style hot pot lunch at a fast food restaurants called MK. It was delicious. In out boiling pot we cooked greens, pork, salmon, more pork, squid, and noodles which were devoured with some dim sum style dumplings. Not exactly American fast food. We even got to try a traditional Thai desert of crushed ice, coconut milk, and an unidentifiable pink thing.

After lunch, we headed it to pick up towels, pillows, a chair, sheets, trash can, iron, soap, toilet paper, and cocktail glasses. It was a lot like the first day of college with a lot less easy mac. For about 100$ we furnished both apartments with nearly twice as much furniture as I brought to school senior year (now I realize anything multiplied by zero is still zero, so if you did the math, twice as much would still mean nothing, but since I actually have a chair I think the description is accurate). As we scoured the lanes looking for necessities, we got to know our new contact pretty well. As a result, we made plans to meet up to celebrate Halloween, which uncovered another glaring need- cell phones. So after successfully avoiding the issue for the last three months, we finally bought and set up some phones. We were then dropped off, told to expect a call that evening, and were left to finally moving in. Packing was ferocious. We were moved in almost instantly, the desire to nap fueled us to work at a superhuman pace. As soon as everything was away, the lights were out and eyes closed.

Two and a half hours later, we find me here. I just finished the beer Cengiz woke me up with; I am filled with the satisfaction of knowing I got some work done on the blog; and, I just got a text from our new friends saying to meet at RCA tonight. Now, I’m not sure what that means, but she seemed as excited as I could hope a person to be for Halloween, so it should be enjoyable. Hopefully the taxi can get us there, otherwise I will just shove the cell phone into his hand, with her on the other line waiting to instruct in Thai. I am going to wake up, Thai style, with a cold shower, have another drink with the man, get to know our new neighborhood a bit by finding some food, and jump back into the fury of Bangkok by finding these celebratory new acquaintances. Hopefully, none of it goes smoothly, as each day seems to cement the reality that unexpected detours and troubles tend to end well. I would rank last night’s bus ride along side water-boarding and shock therapy on the list of things I hope never happen to me, but in the end, all things considered, it worked out- we’re “home.”

Ieri in questo post (http://paoblog.wordpress.com/2009/10/27/benzina-aumenta-mentre-petrolio-cala/) si parlava del fatto che ora la benzina aumenti anche quando il petrolio cala, il che è tutto dire.

Ieri sera, rientrando a casa, sono passato davanti ad un distributore Esso a Settimo Milanese ed il prezzo della verde era di € 1,27.

Questa mattina alle 6.40 ho notato che il prezzo, incredibile, è sceso ad € 1,266!!!!

Ben 4 millesimi di Euro (che neanche esistono) in una notte. Facciamo due conti: per un pieno di 40 litri equivale ad un risparmio di ben 16 cent.

Ed ora che non si dica che i petrolieri non calano i prezzi.
