Have you ever had those weeks where you just wanna get away? I’m sure you have.. well I’m in one right now. Most of the time we’re not able to get away because of our busy-boring lives that we don’t want to live out for the week to come.. well for me, I can get away, and I’m only at the beginning of my weeks journey.

I decided a week in Toronto should do the trick. You see, I have a big family, spread out across Canada (and one in Australia)  that I am able to see when I please, so when I thought about the city, my sister came to mind. She is able to give me a key to her place where I can crash every night of the week while spending countless hours doing my own thing in the city.. I’m thinking lots of Starbucks!

So part one of my epic journey started last night when I arrived at a friends birthday party in Hamilton, Ontario. I had a good time meeting a ton of new people and when the night came I passed out on the couch at my sisters flat in the same city. I’m currently still here at her one bedroom apartment and later on we’re heading out to  Coffee Culture to spend some time on our computers and have a little chat.

Once four-o-clock creeps around I’ll be jumping on the GO-Train to head out to Toronto where I’ll be exploring many exciting new things and where I can clear my head.

I’m pretty excited about this and I will try my best to keep you updated. It should work out pretty nice.
I’m sorry about no video blog today, I’ll try to record some in Toronto.

now i’m nineteen, in college – really making decisions about ‘whats next’ i think i’m going to transfer, not because i don’t like fdu – but because i really can’t afford it, and it sucks. i didn’t really take into consideration any of the schools in jersey, especially the school i think i’ll be at next fall – montclair.

is that really going to happen?

Family and Child Studies Major, Child Life Specialist Concentration

Child Life Specialists work to minimize the negative impacts of medical situational disruptions while maintaining individual growth and development and family relationships. Child Life Specialists also help to reduce the stress and anxiety that many children experience in hospital and healthcare settings and enhance their abilities to cope effectively with and gain from potentially stressful situations. While the work of child life specialists has been limited mostly to hospitals, it is now more common to see them in pediatric physician and dental offices, outpatient clinics, counseling clinics, camps, and any other environment that includes a pediatric population.

Child Life programs in health care settings promote optimum development of children and their families, in order to maintain normal living patterns and to minimize psychological trauma. Typically, Child Life professionals (1.) supervise therapeutic and diversional play; (2.) prepare children for and assist children during medical test and procedures through education, rehearsal, and coping skill development; and (3.) support families during hospitalization or challenging events. Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) have earned a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with an educational background that includes human development, family systems, education, psychology, counseling, health and illness intervention, and a 480-hour internship supervised by a CCLS. After students earn their degree, then the certification process is conducted under the auspices of the Child Life Council  (CLC). The graduate may apply through the CLC to sit for the certification exam.

Better personal record this time round.

A bit odd though, because I walked with a pair of $12 sneakers. The kind that allows you to still feel the pavement when worn.

Yet I still managed to beat my high school record timing.

I managed to do it in about an hour-and-a-half.

Strange. The jogging and jump-rope exercises must have helped, yet I don’t seem to be losing weight any old how. *wails*

so first blog i guess gotta start with somethin simple, name is tyler i live in toronto (hopefully we all know where that is…) and yea thats about all im willing to share for now. A blog well never really cared to read any blogs and never made one before so im sure the only question everyone would be asking is “why are you making a blog?” good question, well its simple i really have to much to say most of the time and honestly i need to provide to a bigger amount of people plus I cant sount the number of times I have randomly come across cool pages people make and stuff so I figure the least I can give back to the internet is some sort of help and randomness back…yea this all really sounded better in my head when I thought it…gotta get used to this whole blogging idea…last note just wanna say im very much about what people have to say so please feel encouraged to write anything on your mind in reguards to what I say, who I am, and what is bothering/impressing/compelling you to wanna write something, trust me I actually do read all of your comments even if I dont respond to them all. So take it easy for today everyone and lets regroup tommorrow. (i unno why i think lots of people are reading this when I know no one is…leave me in my semi happy state)

Robert Pattinson is set to appear in U.S. television, multiple blogs and news sources report. The buzz started after Gossip Cop reported that Robert Pattinson will visit the wacky Ellen DeGeneres. The gossip website described their source as: “a highly, highly placed source”. Looks like Gossip cop is very confident with this one!

The report added that Robert’s new U.S. television appearance will happen on November 20, the same day when his upcoming film “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon” will be premiered in U.S. theaters. Walau pernah membintangi Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, namun tidak dapat disangkal nama aktor asal Inggris, Robert Pattinson, lebih banyak dikenal setelah ia membintangi Twilight. Tak ingin terjebak dengan tipikal film remaja, Pattinson sepertinya mulai beralih ke drama remaja dengan tema lebih luas.

Setelah sebelumnya membintangi The Last Ashes, yang bercerita mengenai kehidupan pelukis Salvador Dali, pada 2010 mendatang, Pattinson akan membintangi sebuah film drama yang disutradarai oleh Allen Coulter, Remember Me.

Remember Me berkisah mengenai pasangan muda, Tyler (Pattinson) dan Ally (de Ravin). Kehidupan mereka berjalan normal hingga pada suatu saat, Ally harus menyaksikan ibunya dibunuh oleh seseorang. Keadaan menjadi semakin rumit setelah kakak Tyler melakukan bunuh diri, yang menyebabkan orangtuanya (Brosnan-Olin) bercerai.

Naskah film ini sendiri ditulis oleh Will Fetters dan Jenny Lumet, yang sebelumnya mendapat pujian atas naskah yang ia tulis untuk film Rachel Getting Married. Filmnya sendiri, selain dibintangi Pattinson, akan menampilkan akting dari aktris muda Emilie de Ravin serta penampilan dari Pierce Brosnan, Lena Olin, serta Chris Cooper.

Summit Entertainment berencana untuk merilis Remember Me pada 12 Februari 2009.

Cand ma gandesc la Yahoo!Messenger, un singur lucru imi trece prin minte: cum sa scrii cu “k, sh, tz, bn, etc…”? Mori daca scrii cateva litere in plus? Te striga mama si te grabesti? Iti vine sa te caci si te grabesti? Lasa ca nu mori tu daca scrii cu k, sh, tz, etc…

Dupa parerea mea, mess-ul strica “alfabetul”. Ma mir ca mai sunt copii, si destui cat sa fie un numar de apreciat, care nu scriu cu prescurtari din acestea. Poate unii incearca sa treaca de la Mess la romana, si depun si ei acolo un mic efort de a uita prescutarile, dar macar scriu corect!

Am primit acum.. 2-3 zile, cateva propozitii de la un baiat (in legatura cu un DVD-Writer) scrise ca dracu: k, sh, tz, etc.. Sa fiu al naibii daca am inteles ceva. I-am cerut sa scrie corect, a scris jumate corect si jumate… -> Am ramas masca cand am vazut ca nu intelege cuvantul corect!

Voi ce parere aveti?

Asta nu inseamna, ca voi o sa dati comentarii cu k, sh, tz! Scrieti corect!

Cui nu-i place muzica? Evident ca tuturor ne place, nici nu mai trebuia sa pun intrebarea asta! Un articol destul de atractiv, zic eu, avand in vedere ca putem sa le aratam altora ce ascultam noi. Dati un comentariu cu numele artistului si numele melodiei preferate + daca vreti, si un link de pe YouTube.

There’s a vast wealth of ideas on the internet, but trawling through them all to be able to find anything reasonable is a nightmare.  Sometimes it’s easier to just pay for something so that it’s all in just one place.  Even better if you can find something where you can get the money back on it if it isn’t any good.

I did a bit of trawling over the weekend and found 4 possible contenders that are possible time savers.  And you know what they say, time is money.  In real terms if any of this saves me just 30 minutes, then it’s paid for itself.  My favourate I think could be the last on the list.

Thanksgiving has come and gone, and though that was just one occasion to express my thanks, I think it’s appropriate that we always try to be thankful throughout the whole year. And so, to continue the perpetuation of the spirit of thanks, I’d like to briefly list some things that I’m thankful for.

Some Things That I’m Thankful For

1. College

These number of years of college have not been easy, but they’ve tested me, year by year. The challenges that come and go with each semester only serve to strengthen me as a person. Sometimes I think I can’t handle the situations that come my way, but then I recall that God doesn’t give me anything I can’t handle. I just hope that I handle them well.

2. My Truck

Yes, I’m thankful for a non-living object. The truck has taken me to places I thought I would never go. From concerts to late-night runs across campus and everywhere in between, I’m quite thankful for transportation to keep me active in my pursuit of adventure.

3. Emily Dickinson

Her poetic licks never cease to amaze me. I can say that she’s been the inspiration for my drive to create some of my poetic creations. Here’s one of her poems that I totally dig:
