Why?  When there is so much topsy-turvy situations my life.

It’s like sitting in the eye of the storm; chaos on the left, chaos on the right, in front and at the back.

With calmness in me I know that God is with me. God is in me. God is everywhere. He is keeping me so calm and in everything, He keeps revealing himself to me.

This journey hasn’t been easy. Finding God again and standing up and continuing the fight when the devil knocks me down. There have been times, in these few weeks, where I have had to really push to keep my eyes focused on Him. When it felt like it’s all too much.

I have realised in these last few days that even though things don’t  go my way, it does not mean He does not love me. It does not mean He has given up! It simply means He is preparing me for something better! Something greater! His way is so indescribably magnificent that if I allow myself to wait, He reveals Himself to me in the most wonderful ways.

I smile because I know my Lord is helping me. He is guiding me. I am not alone. This journey will take where He wants me to be. All I have to do is believe, to trust!

When it gets tough I will be still and know that The Joy of the Lord is my strength!

Look, I realize the heart of man is deceitfully wicked. But the only Blog I follow that has absolutely nothing to do with Theology challenges that assumption in me every time they put out a video.

So, what has been happening? Well, not much really. I got to watch The Crow again after years finally; I love that movie and find the whole thing one of those stories you just wish you could believe in. I have also seen Splinter and The Thaw so no doubt I am now paranoid about having bugs near me or getting splinters. That will last all of two more days.

Have two more movies not borrrowed from Ad to watch this weekend; Apocalypse Now and The Pianist. I a trying to get hold of The Beach but it is being a stubborn and impossible title to get hold of, though the soundtrack is now in my possession. Bloody brilliant soundtrack to it, can’t stop listening to it and I love every minute of it, even if I zone out a bit. That was a fuck of a sentence wasn’t it?

I still have Battle Royale, Dogma, Pan’s Labyrinth, Benny & Joon, Let the Right One In and a selection of movies I have actually already seen yet want to rewatch to go through, not to mention tidy my room, sort out my word count, do my critiques for an assignment and start on my presentations and essays for the end of this calendar year so I can have everything done and dusted ready for 2010 which is scarily around the corner.

What else has been the happenings lately? Well today, the 13th, is a Friday (spooky! not) and it is also TWLOHA day. As a translation that is “To Write Love On Her Arm” day. TWLOHA is an organisation that deal in supporting people with depression or those suffering from addiction, self-harm and various other issues of that ilk. I have indeed written LOVE on my arm, in felt pen too so I shall be pretty pink for hours, and I will post a picture of it.

There we go, my picture of it. And yes, it is in purples and pinks, not something I’m used to using but it means a lot to me when I see these colours that it had to be the choice. Missi wrote on my arm in biro not long afterwards with Love and Ai, which is the Japanese for Love. It’s nice to know that even when she’s not feeling well she will participate in something like this. I don’t blame her for not writing on her own arm though, it is a bastard to get off.

I have been having a few more moments of unnecessary reflection lately and I believe that may have something to do with the people around me and the changes in the weather.I am becoming annoying in tune to it and it is starting to wind me up. Thankfully I have the word count for up to the 15th sorted but I need to add more to it to get near the 50k I am aiming for. I am currently halfway there and I am not about to give up on it, I refuse to; this is the first time I have ever gotten this far and I am determined to do it. I mostly think of it in terms of “this is an assignment” and that helps to motivate me, as I know this novel is not only for fun but the one I will use for my writing the novel assignment once it is edited.

I also tend to keep skipping things lately, funny that.

Mum and Dad are currently travelling to Orlando from Jacksonville, ready for their flight home tomorrow which will land here on Sunday. It will be good to have them back in the country though I imagine Dad will have started crying as they left my sister’s, since he’s the type to do that. Hope Travis, Lilly and Michael are alright, they’re young and it must hurt a bit more for them, though I think Michael is a bit too oblivious to things right now. On other family news, my Niece, Vicky’s, little baby girl had her operation and everything seems alright. Gracie is an adorable name and we can’t wait to meet her once she’s allowed out of the hospital.

Probably won’t be for a while yet, but still, the idea is lovely.

But, yes, this has been my rant for the day. I am going to go away and attempt to nap again as I seem so tired, perhaps see about writing a bit of fanfiction. I will admit I have a gay porn scene to write that I seem to be procrastinating worse than anything else.

It’s just the way you cut the cheese.

Here’s an aged Vermont old cheddar cheese with a thick, sultry black skin. Hack away slices, add two miniature olives and transform the block into a creature of the night. Easy!

Last week sis back from VTE and treated us lunch @ Tony Roma’s, The Gardens. Due to HALAL, we can’t get  the famous pork ribs @ Tony Roma’s, M’sia. Beef ribs substituted pork ribs in M’sia…FOR ME…the beef ribs not so tasty…because i just get tasted the sauces on top of the beef ribs…’nothing special’ in depth of the beef ribs:). We also ordered a beef steak…disappointed with the steak…’nothing special’…:)…but i like the mashed potato which served together with the steak. Smooth + soft mashed patoto…yummy!!! Sis paid for the lunch, which cost MYR250++ (3 persons)…THANK YOU!!!

As I sit inside Joe’s Coffee in the East Atlanta Village, siphoning off their measly WiFi, I find myself in desperate need of something to occupy my time. (God, it is taking FOREVER to download Battlestar Galactica: The Plan) While going through my extensive porn collection I came across a couple items that sparked my memory…..I HAVE A BLOG TO UPDATE.

About a month ago, in a drunken stupor, I happened into a local Taco Mac. While looking over the menu I noticed the Philly Steak sandwich at the bottom of the last page. It was buried beneath the steaks and salads and rested above the un-priced alcoholic beverages. (I fucking hate when they don’t give you the Alcohol prices. Then I look like a cheap asshole when I ask how much something is. Shitty system) So, I immediately ordered and awaited my next review opportunity.

While waiting, I had to deal with the local flavor, namely UGA fans. Apparently there was a game on and we were lucky enough to be there for the last quarter. YAY US!! On a side note I have to say this. University of GA fans are the most annoying group of fans in the entire universe. They make me not want to live in the state. I mean WHAT THE FUCK? And is it just me or is there no chance in Hell 90% of UGA fans could actually make it into that school? Whatever. Just sayin.  (For extra points, check out my Halloween costume. I’m the perfect UGA fan………Get it? Get it? I’M DEAD. THE PERFECT UGA FAN IS A DEAD ONE! HAHAHAHAHAHAH…….moving on.)

So, the sandwich comes out and it brings back bad memories of the Highlands Grill incident. Wrapped in tin foil and cut in two, the sandwich vaguely resembled a burrito which was the first impression I had at the Highlands Grill. However, this sandwich wasn’t so small once I unwrapped it.  It was a decent size and had a decent amount of French fries to accompany it. Proportion wise, it was just OKAY.

Much like the proportions, the sandwich’s taste also bordered on decent. Now, I have to admit, I was slightly drunk at this point, so my taste judgment might not be as accurate and honed as it would normally be, but I still knows what I like!

If I had to put a number on it (Which I do) I would give it a 4 out of 10. It wasn’t the worst I have ever had, but it certainly wasn’t the best. I kind of wish I had gotten the Fish and Chips instead……….maybe I should start a blog for that. Just an Idea.

As for price, this Philly clocks in at a whopping $8.00. Not worth the money, if you want my two cents.

A full moon rises when the night darkness falling, and the lights in the city opposite are turned on one after another. In my cage I see this scene, quiet and beautiful. I remembered a story that someone trapped in a well sees the reflected image of the moon in the water when he almost gives up. It’s amazing. He is moved and finds the courage to live on. Actually we all live in a cage or are trapped in a well, we cannot escape from the earth (at least in the present), we are tied to the life we are living. So, despite how hard the life is, do not miss the beautiful reflected image of the moon in the well water.

unfinished things bug me…

which is really bad considering i tend to start a project, and then not finish it… :S ugh… lol

so, i started this quilt a year or two ago… cutting the pieces took forever… and originally, i wanted to hand stitch the entire thing… HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! yeah, that lasted about 2 rows… then i resorted to my sewing machine, which wasn’t working very well but then i fixed it… and i got the patch pieces all together, now all they needed were a border and a back… but then i left for Germany, so i had to put it on hold… and it bugged me the HOLE time! lol… then i got home and finished it in a total of 9 hours… and now it’s on my bed… it was a HUGE relief to get it done! lol…

any time I start a project, and leave it unfinished, it drives me crazy… I have yet to finish my scrapbook from High School… it’s in the storage shed, and still only have the “title page” for my “Travels” scrapbook (i was gonna do just Turkey, but now that I’ve gone a ton of other places, I’m just gonna do everywhere in one…) I start a knitting or crochet project, then put it aside because of my hand… and then forget it, it gets pushed to the back of my closet, or under my bed… etc… then i remember it a month later, and try to work on it again… (i really should just give up on knitting and crocheting tho… it hurts too much… and is IMPOSSIBLE with my brace on… sad cuz it’s so relaxing tho) I have material cut out for projects I can’t remember too… ugh

one project that won’t leave me alone though is the story i started writing in Germany the originally titled “3 wishes” now titled “Tempting Fate”… i write random pieces for it at work, on my phone, in class, in my journal… etc… and it’s always in the back of my head… Lila just won’t leave me alone…

but that is not all i wanted to talk about…

the title “unfinished business” is more about, what are all the things we do in life, that we leave unfinished? We have a lot of non-traditional students here on campus, and most of them because they never got the chance to go, or some who just never got to finish.

I meet people all the time who have things they never finished. Relationships not healed before someones death to homework assignments not done, we all have some sort of unfinished business… and that just makes me sad… it’s almost like living with regrets… i think when you have something unfinished like that, you end up regreting…

that’s why i just posted all of my old “drafts” that never got posted… i posted them just as I left them… and with an excerpt explaining what they were… but the fact is, i posted them, and to me, that means they were finished… and now i can move on from them… and slowly, I hope to finish everything i have started… no matter how big or small, or how important or irrelevant…

I WILL finish EVERYTHING I start from this day forward… even if it takes me forever
