“Home Alone” Is a lovely little LP crafted by The Eeries from Philadelphia and released on Evil Weevil Records. Radiating doo-woppy garage pop goodness, The Eeries really can carry a nice warm harmony, and manage rather well to add a dimension of Beatlesy tones to their tunes. Also, I’m strangely struck with a need to watch the first Home Alone film again for the first time in years. And this sounds like it would be the perfect soundtrack.

Today I am proudly introducing the ROAD TO RUIN FEST. For those of you who might not know, the Road To Ruin Fest is a completely independent punk/ rock & roll festival to be held in Philadelphia. The fest is being booked without the help of corporate sponsorship and everything is coming out of the pockets of the organizers. The organizers include Evil Weevil Records, Chikara Wrestling and Dead Industry.

Road To Ruin is a three day festival that will take place in Philadelphia during the weekend of April 20th to the 22nd. Each day will be held at a different venue and each day features a slew of different bands, ranging from mainly local acts to New Jersey, New York, Washington DC and beyond. Believe it or not, there is also a wrestling portion of the weekend which will take place on the 21st. Now do yourself a favor and imagine that combination – endless amounts of performing bands with a wrestling match right in the middle of all the action. Definitely sounds like a memorable weekend.

Como indica su nombre, Diarrhea Planet son una panda de gamberros. Desde Nashville, nos traen una amalgama de punk-surf de sótano con destellos pop que te atrapan desde la primera escucha. Coros gritones, acordes directos y estribillos deliciosamente bailables, ¿qué más se puede pedir en estos momentos de abrasante calor?

Su primera referencia fue “Aloha”, un 7’’ editado en el sello Evil Weevil Records, encandilando al personal con cinco intensas canciones: la mejor, de ellas es sin duda “Ghost with a Boner”.

Diarrhea Planet is a band composed by naughty boys. From Nashville, they bring us the tastiest basement-punk-surf vibe with shiny pop touches that suduces you from the very first time you listen to their tracks. Epic choruses, powerful chords and bouncy refrains. What else you can ask for?

Their first release, ‘Aloha’, a 7’’ edited on Evil Weevil Records, is totally recommendable. And, ‘Ghost with a Boner’ is definitely our favourite tune.

The video we are sharing with you, catches perfectly the feeling of the band: moshing, scenario invasion and people surfing over the crowds. These guys are about to release their first LP at the end of this summer. And by then, we hope you will be as much as we are in love with them.
