There are times in life where you have to face something which you can’t reject it like a friend request in facebook. One is “exam”. At school, you will absolutely get at least one exam in a month. If it is the end of the year or the end of term, you get so many exams, don’t you? My first term exam ended last week. I was being the “girl-who-knows-it-all” so of course I ended up having NOT GOOD marks. Some people (including me) blamed the teacher for not being able to get good marks, for example:GEOGRAPHY. Last year, I moved in to the school in the third term. That term is where you do revision and a bit of learning new things. I am naturally talented and smart (no offence!!) so I got an amazingly good mark for geography. 85%. The reason is because of my teacher. I got a teacher from Europe, and he knew how to speak English. (Afterall, I go to an international school) BUT this year, for the first term exam, although I haven’t got my marks YET, I know I got a mark that I would not like to mention. My teacher is a teacher that: 1.CAN NOT SPEAK ENGLISH 2.DOES NOT TEACH 3.NOT FROM EUROPE. Well, I am not trying to be racist saying that this teacher is from europe and this is not ..etc etc., I amd just being HONEST!

Anyways, exam is something you will have to take at least once in your life. STUDY!!! Because I am regretting for not studying. My Friend D.I.S. got really good marks because she studied, I didn’t study, so I am expecting F’s or D’s or even U’s! PLEASE study if your exams are coming soon. I had the opprtunity but I lost it. BUT you still have the chance to get A’s and A+’s. I hope you enjoyed reding my blog.. THANK YOU!! 

Add Maths Paper killed me. I was at the verge of crying by the time I answering Section B, Paper 2.

Sighhh but what’s done is done.

Next paper is Art and Physics! Art only starts this Wednesday, which only explains the updated blog :p

..On other things, I watched 2012 in Penang yesterday. The movie scared the hibibijibies out of me with what not CALIFORNIA going down and my own end of the world dream where I was at LOS ANGELES and there was going to be a huge flood.

Aha ~

New Moon was…an enjoyable movie. Taylor Lautner shirtless in a one hour and a half movie? What else can a girl ask for? But the crowds’ reaction was priceless la. My sister and I had a good laugh watching movie with all the cheesy scenes and etc.

Okay I will continue blogging when SPM is OFFICIALLY OVER. I am only online nowadays to stalk on SHINee boys anyway

I went to the cisco website to check on my CCIE status.   A little background; Way back in 2006 I attended Cisco Networks in Las Vegas.  You get to write a certification exam there if you wish for free.  I thought I’d try my hand at the CCIE security written exam.  I was already a CCSP, how much harder could it be.  I had picked up the book, and of course, the written test has nothing to do with technology and it’s all theory.  I crammed for a few days and came out with a pass!  I attempted to do the lab exam twice now.  One on the old 1.0 blueprint, then on the 2.0 blueprint.  It’s again changed to the 3.0 blueprint.  I was checking, and here come the yipee part, that I only have to attempt the lab exam once within 18 months of passing the Written exam.   Here is the link to that page.

I tried to go and book a lab exam and I was able to get as far as selecting a lab site and dates and then backed out.  Please tell me I’m not crazy here.  If anyone has information to the contrary, please comment!

Woa… the next tomorrow will be the first final exam day and I’m so stress right now. *headache* There are so many chapters and books to study and I still don’t understand anything until now and can’t remember any. I think so many unnecessary things probably. Now I realize how important it is to pay attention to what the teacher explain and repeat it again after college. Can anyone help me now? :S

Anyway, I miss my friend’s hamster which was entrusted at my house. They’re cute. Everytime I come near their little cage, they will be direct climb the cage and seems like hoping me to touch and play with them. But she’s already taken it back to her own house. I miss my family also.. I really can’t wait to go home. I miss my friends, I miss that someone, guess I miss everyone

Oh.. guess I have to continue my study again. It’s already 11.58 pm.. Quite sleepy. I didn’t study much today as there are so many good TV shows to watch, esp. Fear Factor (it was Couples edition and it’s cool) and my housemate kept chatting with me so.. I was like,”Oh well, when can I study?” Hmm.. but good to hear that these songs help me to study anyway.

Hmm.. Last time I said I want to continue to study but now I want to go sleep. *yawns* Tomorrow I’ll continue again. -_-

For a few, this may be the last time they step out of the Royal Exhibition Building (REB) after completing their last exam of their University life. For others, this may their last paper for the semester. Whichever the case may be, everyone is relieved that the exams are over.

I’m sick! Or something. Feel really wired. Dizzy. This afternoon I had a massive head ache. My stomach feels empty (and it isn’t, and not empty hungry-empty just empty like a big warehouse). Not good. Can’t get sick right now. Have an exam to write on Sunday and a lot of studying to do before that exam.

Sài Gòn mấy ngày nay cũng lạnh bất thường, trưa 11 – 12h mà sương mù vẫn còn bảng lảng trong TP. Cả đám líu ríu chen chúc nhau trong 1 cái dù nhỏ xíu. Mình thì do vác theo anh chồng Divo nên phảỉ nhanh chân chạy vô cái dù chỗ mấy chú bảo vệ, kẻo không “ảnh” nhiễm nước thì mình có mà… chết! Và tại đây đã có một kỷ niệm nho nhỏ

O.o ) nghi ngút khói và… hăm hở, tí toét giơ tay chữ V chụp hình

Sẵn tâm trạng đang phơi phới ( do trời mưa bất ngờ + vừa hoàn thành viên mãn bài thuyết trình ) và trên tay mình lúc đó đang cầm em Liz ~~~> lia qua chụp các bạn í luôn Nhiều chuyện ghê chưa Nhưng mà dzui cực! Tối về lại cuống cuồng nhảy qua trường học bù Macro ( tự nguyện thôi ) vì chiều mai cả đám sẽ nghỉ học để đi dự hội thảo. Hờ hờ! Cả trường chỉ có 7 SV vs 3 GV đi thôi à. Ôi! Những đứa con của HUFLIT ) ) ) Mà phải công nhận là từ chiều đến tối, mình căng thẳng đến độ muốn chạy đi đâu đó hét thật to lên được >”< Quá nhiều chuyện cùng ập đến một lúc khiến mình rối!

Yes, I am rather aware that this particular title is somewhat odd, yet I think you all get the picture…

Why is it, that it always seems that time is running out?

I personally, am frustrated beyond belief because of a particular situation dealing with me running out of time. Folks, I have just been handed the opportunity of a life time. One of my deepest passions in life is computers. I am a dedicated computer engineering student, practicing my skills on the internet rather study for my upcoming examinations. I love nothing more than to immerse myself into a piece of code…and I have been given the chance of a lifetime to pursue my passion.

That’s right; I have been studying at a prestigious college of the country in a picturesque town Now, I say town for a reason. I live in a city, yet it’s not exactly one of the most well-known spots on the map, and preserves a small town feel. So, as I can assume you know, this is a huge chance for me to get my name out there…yet I am still being held back.

I am currently experiencing some scheduling difficulties at my studies. It’s not like I don’t know whats written in black and white, I just tend to ignore the fact it’s quite essential to read in order to acquire knowledge. I just don’t know where it’s all headed.

Now I know that most of you who are reading this right now may be pondering as to why I am not just running with this chance. Yet, I am a responsible man and I do not want to seem ungrateful towards my awesome family and friends who has been so supportive of me. I just wish to look them in the eye and say ‘Yes, I know what I’m doing’.

*Sigh* Simply, I am overwhelmed. I am grasping at receiving an answer! My time is running thin! Yet, I am trapped where I am watching the time go by…

So tell me readers. Have any of you ever felt that your chances are hanging in the monotonous balance of schedules and others in your life?

Please share your thoughts with me. Maybe you’ll ignite some inspiration for me and my own situation, or who knows. Another post perhaps?

Spielst du mit dem Gedanken im angloamerikanischen Raum zu studieren?
Mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit wirst du dann den schwierigen TOEFL-Test über dich ergehen lassen müssen. Der Grund ist, dass fast alle Unis in den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika, im Vereinigten Königreich, Kanada, Australien und Neuseeland verlangen den Test als Nachweis deiner Englisch-Kenntnisse. Aber was sollte man zum TOEFL-Test sonst noch alles wissen? Alle notwendigen Details zum Test bekommst Du von uns.

Wofür steht TOEFL und was ist das?
TOEFL ist die Kurzform von “Test of English as a Foreign Language” (TOEFL) und ist ein standardisierter Test, in dem die Fremdsprachenkenntnisse in Englisch von Nicht-Muttersprachlern geprüft wird. Der Test ist Voraussetzung bei den meisten Universitäten im englischsprachigen Raum zur Zulassung.

Was erwartet Dich im TOEFL?
Das Examen besteht aus jenen Sektionen:

1. Reading Comprehension, 60 bis 100 Minuten, 44 bis 60 Fragen (multiple choice)
2. Listening Comprehension, 60 bis 90 Minuten, 30 bis 50 Fragen (multiple choice)
3. Speaking, 20 Minuten, 6 Fragen (mündliche Antwort über Mikrofon)
4. Written Expression, 55 Minuten, 2 Fragen (hier muss selber ein Text verfasst werden)

In all diesen Abschnitten wird sowohl auf die Fähigkeit, sich korrekt ausdrücken zu können, also die verwendeten Vokabeln, aber auch auf die korrekte Grammatik aufgepasst.

Kann ich den Test wiederholen?
Das Testergebnis ist bis zu 24 Monate nach dem Bestehen des Tests noch gültig. Der TOEFL kann beliebig oft wiederholt werden.

Wieviele Punkte kann ich erreichen?
Für jede Sektion gibt es höchstens 30 Punkte. Total können zusammen 120 Punkte erreicht werden. Man kann im TOEFL-Test nicht durchfallen. Man bekommt seine Punktzahl bescheinigt mit der man sich dann an den Hochschulen bewerben kann.

Wie gut muss das Ergebnis für amerikanische Universitäten ausfallen?
Im Schnitt verlangen amerikanische Hochschulen etwa ein Minimum von 70 Punkten. Hier sind einige Beispiele:

University of Wisconsin – 61 Punkte
Brown University, Fachbereich Physik – 61 Punkte
University of California, Los Angeles, Master und Doktorstudiengänge – 87 Punkte
University of Washington, Fachbereich Kommunikation – 70 Punkte
University of Missouri – 61 Punkte

In welchen Städten kann ich den Test machen?
Der Test findet in den folgenden Städten statt: Aaachen, Augsburg, Berlin, Bonn, Bünde, Darmstadt, Dortmund, Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt (Eschborn), Frankfurt am Main, Güby, Göttingen, Hamburg, Hannover, Heidelberg, Koblenz, Köln, Mainz, Mannheim, Münster, München, Nürnberg, Oestrich-Winkel, Osnabrück, Paderborn, Rostock, Schönebeck. Stuttgart, Tübingen.

Wie oft findet der Test statt?
Das variiert. An den größeren Hochschulorten findet der Test bis zu 5 mal im Monat statt. Die exakten Termine erfährst du auf der TOEFL-Website (siehe weiter unten)

Wie wird mir das Testergebnis mitgeteilt?
Ungefähr 14 Tage bis vier Wochen nach dem Test erfährst du das Ergebnis per Post.

Ist der Test teuer?

It’s all happening for our Miss 10.  A couple of weekends ago she had her first WAYMA audition.  Today is her first AMEB cello exam.

It’s really quite hard!  She’s struggled to get her head around the different scales, harmonic and melodic minors as well as get all the exercises and pieces up to exam standard.   Her hands and fingers are still relatively tiny so shifting and extensions are even harder on the cello.   And there’s so much exam work that to get through that it takes over an hour to get through it in a practice session!

But the hardest thing I’ve noticed is trying to get her to not stop playing when she makes mistakes.  When she makes a mistake, Miss 10 will repeat the couple of notes again.  In an exam or performance situation, you just have to keep on going.  Sounds easy, but it’s something that has to be learnt and to get used to.

I know she can’t wait until it’s over so she can have a small break from cello.  Unfortunately, she’ll be diving straight into a school production performance, then her dance school concerts next weekend.

Well, I took today as a “study” day. Terribly liberating that one can just take time off at this job when one needs to. I’ve got an exam in just over a week. If I don’t pass I shall be very annoyed. Having said that I’ve not really put my nose to the grind yet. We will have to wait and see on that note.
In other news my little Snapdragon has been unbearably cute today. We had a fantastic painting session, as well as many other beautiful moments.
I suppose I probably am 37 days gone if I am. I felt a bit queasy today. But it might have been last night’s supper.
