As promised, here’s another outfit from Zipz, a very cool goth/neko/tats store on a lovely gothic sim of its own called Ithilien.

This is the Belted Tartan outfit in dark tones.  It also comes in red as well – the dynamic duo of gothwear.  The necklace and earrings are also from Zipz – the Ryon Light Metal and Black Stone necklace, and the Dark Metal Skull Cameo with Diamonds earrings.  Didn’t I tell you they have great goth jewelry?  I added the Dirty Biker Cuffs from Sn@tch, which I am pretty sure I won in the lucky chair (but I could be wrong coz that store is my second home).  The boots are my “go to” boots – First Flower’s Valerian Boots.  Hands down, my favorite boots on the grid come from First Flower – not only are they wonderfully detailed, but they are also reasonably priced for the level of craftsmanship.  The hair is another I found in my inventory from Exile – this one was in a folder of gift hair.  I have no idea how recent the gift is.  The skin is, of course, my favorite goth skin – Zanzo’s Reborn.  It’s like the finest translucent porcelain – sigh.

O tradicional evento de premiação Best Hits kayousai 2009 foi transmitido ontem, dia 26 de novembro pela Yomiuri TV.

Atualmente em sua 42ª edição, o evento colhe votos de internautas para decidir os melhores do ano em duas categorias principais: Gold Artist (para os artistas principais) e Rookie Artist (artista revelação).

First of all, Happy Turkey Day to those who celebrate it.  I am stuffocated (that’s when you’re so full you can’t breathe – stuffed and suffocated. lol) with turkey, cornbread dressing, mirliton  casserole, praline baked sweet potatoes, and many other delicious traditional Thanksgiving goodies.  Non sequitur alert…..

Many, many months ago, I saw some really cool clothes on the feeds and tp’d over to a store called Zipz to grab them.  I remember how amazed I was at the quality and the prices – the former high and the latter so reasonable.  I was in my neko/fantasy phase at the time and was in “hog heaven” when I found that store.

Every now and then as the months went by, I would think about Zipz and wonder if it was still around, and if so, why no one was blogging them.  Well, a couple of days ago, I decided to stop wondering and go on over to see if Zipz still existed.  Yay! It does!  It does!  The prices are still so reasonable, and the clothes are still wonderfully nekoish, grungy, and sexy.  And now the proprietor, Dunja Hian, and her partner Flater Baxter also have fabulous gothic jewelry and tattoos!  So for the next few posts, I’ll be showing you some items from Zipz.

I don’t know how to classify this outfit.  A friend said it made me look like I had just stepped out of the jungle, and it does have a “you Tarzan, me Jane” feel to it.  Dunja Hian calls it simply “Fantasy Clothing Set – Salt,” but whatever you call it, it is very well done – and hand drawn of course, and it also comes in black.  I paired it up this time with a choker from KOSH – a dollarbie that may still be available there.  (The jewelry from Zipz is just too lusciously gothic for this particular ensemble.)  The boots were a past lucky chair item at Studio M’z.  The hair is an older style from Exile – and it is the first style I ever loved enough to buy the fatpack – this was way back during the Hair Fair in 2008, so I’m not sure if this style is still available.  Finding this in my inventory reminded me that Exile has been making fantastic hair for a loooong time.

Here’s a closeup of the tattoo – it comes in three styles – brand new, faded, and very faded.

If you don’t know the CMJ music marathon takes place in NYC over the course of a week, at a number of different venues all around the city. Its not exclusive to hip hop music, but rather provides a showcase to new and upcoming artists from all genres. This years CMJ just recently passed, if you didn’t make it out to any of the shows, don’t fret, you can still get you hand on the Official CMJ mixtape. This mixtape however is entirely hip hop, mixed by Boston’s own DJ Statik Selektah & DJ Dutchmaster. there are times where you know that the five, ten minutes, perhaps a day or longer, that you might have with someone is all that you know you’re going to get. you’re lucky, it’s something new, and rare that perhaps lends it that special feeling.  it’s like broken pieces wandering and by chance fitting for a few minutes. but because of the strings of where they’ve come from and where they’re going, they’re pulled away perhaps never to fit together again. or perhaps they’ll fit a few more times, who knows.

but while removed, i have been meeting other such re moved people as myself. some of these moments require me to expect little and settle for less… but through some of these, i have come to see the beauty in the just because. or the perfect in the just because. i guess my life right now is at a just because. the kind of things that you can’t explain, but still happen. or are happening. i’m quite liking these just becauses. they’re tantalizing, maddening, because you wanna explain it away. but it’s just because. my biggest just because is probably just the mere state of my mind, as of late. (generally speaking.) it’s…inexplicable. but great, in all its just becausian wonder. haha.

Hey, I finally made it to the 2009 SL Footwear Expo  and bought a few things.  My favorite has to be these shoes from KOOKIE.  Very stylish and think they complete this look I pieced together.  50% of proceeds are going towards ‘toys for tots’.  So check out the fair, buy some shoes!! and donate towards the charity. The slurl to the expo is tagged here, in the credits I have the slurl to Kookie’s main store, she has the Athena shoes in different colors at her mainstore, because only black is available at the expo. Have a good evening!!

Melanie Sautereau was given the honor to walk in this stunning dress made by Dezi Jarvinen of STAGED designs, at the BOSL designers Challenge show. The designers were asked to design a dress out of their own inspiration, that would make Donatella Versace proud to show in her winter couture collection. Dezi’s SySy gown was awarded the winner of the challenge and since then she has placed the dress for sale in her store and released the SySy gown in more amazing colors. The SySy gown is sophisticated, timeless and has a touch of romantic softness about it.… what more could you ask for. It is available in Teal, Silver, Red, Black, Sherbert, Golden Wheat, Dusty Rose, Deep Purple, Blue and Neutral. There is something there for everyone and if you are a member of the group you can also get the superb Lavender SySy gown from the notices. Congratulations Dezi on designing this wonderful gown and I wish you much more success in the future.

Took Johnny Oliff to the airport this afternoon, sat in on the David Peterson and Chris Seitz seminar from 1pm-330pm, and then out with the fellows for a bite shortly thereafter.

Much discussion on Exile within the book fo Isaiah. Though perhaps its providential setting, Seitz argued the fact that Exile is not on the forefront on account of the ascribed historical setting.
